BENFICA have denied reports that they approached Fulham striker Luis Boa Morte about a possible move to Portugal.

The 24-year-old had been linked with a move to back to Lisbon by the Portuguese media who claimed that the player would love to return to the city where he polayed as a junior with Sporting.

However, Benfica general director of the club Antonio Simoes has denied that any approach has been made, although refused to rule out the transfer as a possibility for the future.
