Bedford Jezzard |
Fulham Football Club sadly announced today that former player and manager, Bedford Jezzard, passed
away on Saturday, aged 77.
Bedford Jezzard joined Fulham in 1948 and helped the team to promotion to the First Division for the
first time in 1948/49 although most of his goals for Fulham came in the Second Division where he formed
a legendary attacking triumvirate with inside-forwards Bobby Robson and Johnny Haynes.
Bedford had been suffering from Multi-Infarct Dementia. The thoughts and sympathies of everyone associated
with the Club are with his family at this time.
A full obituary will be posted on fulhamfc.com tomorrow and funeral details will be released as soon
as they are available.
