Defender Alan Neilson has become the latest
player to seek a move away from Craven Cottage after figuring just seven
times last season.
The Welsh international appeared in only seven games for The Cottagers in
last season's promotion charge, with four of them in the Worthington Cup.
Now he realises he has little or no chance of winning a first-team place
in the Premiership and is seeking talks with Jean Tigana to gain his release.
Tigana is reluctant to let any of his squad leave ahead of new signings
arriving at the club, however he is unlikely to stand in Neilson's way having
already granted Wayne Collins permission to talk to other clubs.
Neilson, 28, has been with Fulham for three-and-a-half years since signing
for £250,000 from Southampton.
