I am watching all the parade and pomp of the US Army on show right now and i like to hear all the chat and info about the various Jeeps, Tanks and hardware, etc but what is going on right now in America tarnishes this show. Unfortunately, it is all about vain Trump and his 79th birthday bash and he is not worthy of this great show and pomp, nuff said! Lol' i had a peek at a nice looking Harley Davidson this Friday gone and it is a toss-up between a Harley or an Indian Scout Motorcycle in my mind i have to say. I just hope i am not daft enough to follow this mad dream of a mid-life crisis through? A more sensible option would be to sell all my naff watches and buy a Rolex Daytona which i think is the greatest Chronograph watches ever made and it was only because of one of the greatest actors there ever was in Paul Newman and his famous Rolex Daytona 6239 Chrono watch which Newman wore on his wrist quite often in his lifetime.

Paddy, your comment is below contempt. It is one of the spectacular shows on earth, steeped in history and tradition. As an ex Army man I certainly do not object to contributing towards the cost and I am sure many more will agree with me. These soldiers put on a wonderful display but foremost they are mostly ordinary people who often put their lives on the line in this troubled world. I suspect you would not echo your views in a pub frequented by squadies.

How do those bandsmen do that unreal marching routine and play in perfect tune??.Superb stuff strange rituals but so good to watch.Recall watching them practise in chelsea barracks in 8os when there barracks at hyde park were being refurbished, had permission to be there inside the parade ground with telecom , so just watched in amazement how it all was put together.

Wonder if it would've been ok for the irish republican army to prance around donegall square celebrating the birthday of Martin McGuinness and singing The Boys of the Old Brigade at the tax payers expense.

They can march to the top of the hill and back down again, not bothered. Just strange that when Trump arranged a parade to commemorate 250 years of American armed forces its vanity and when anybody else does it, UK, France, North Korea etc it’s fine. You could argue though that if the king requires a parade to celebrate his birthday then he could offer to cover the costs from the £100 million he receives annually in ground rent from off shore wind farms, anything left over could pay for the rape gang enquiry. After all, we’re all in it together, diversity is our strength etc. Personally, I’d not be that intimidated by a pub full of squaddies, been there, done that. You seem to forget that Britain surrendered to the IRA long ago and haven’t actually won a war on their own for a few hundred years. The country is currently on its knees and only a Reform election can even remotely save it.

I wish Thomas all the best in his new role But sadly mate there is a very strong chance that Levy will make it impossible for you. Your strength has been plucking players from relative obscurity and turning them into champions. Levy will give you funding to spend big on already established players and demand instant success. I suspect that is not your style. Woy went to Liverpool under similar circumstances. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who predicted his early demise. But nevertheless Thomas, you are a quality manager like the many before you at Spurs who got the flick. There is hope for you afterwards though. You've only got to look at Woys next job after Liverpool to see that. Lucky for us that Marco didn't get his head turned. Top 4 for Fulham next season.

I accept the “Closed season” can be boring and restricts what we can talk about. However, I looked at our site this morning and discovered a multitude of postings regarding Brentford and Chelsea which I find annoying when this is our Fulham board. Personally, I am not interested in either of these teams and surprisingly, so many posters, mostly Fulham supporters, indulging in topics which have nothing to do with our club. We are all anxiously awaiting news of potential arrivals at the club once the closed period ends. Our Home page keeps telling us of our interest in different players but, as we all know it is extremely unlikely any of them will come to fruition. I believe most of us would we welcome at least one new signing once the closed season ends. It is so frustrating when our rivals are all signing new plays whilst we appear to wait to the last possible minute. Having consolidated our position in the Premier we need to improve and aim for a top eight position which will probably require sixty points which is certainly achievable if we stop throwing games away. I wish all our poster a wonderful Summer, enjoy and take care.

This isn't OUR Fulham page. It has no connection with the club. It is owned and operated by a guy called James ? and perhaps someone else (not sure), and has been since 1998, and who get all the advertising revenue generated by you, me and even Buzzi B clicking. Don't kid yourself that it is anything but a commercial operation even though he(they) do support FFC (I met him once).

Good luck to him, he will need it. I know that it almost impossible to predict football results, but it's not looking good for both Sunderland and Brentford in the relegation stakes already ! !

Agreed that Marco will now be left alone to focus on Fulham. However, Marco will be slightly cheesed off that he wasn't the first choice. This plus the rejection by Juventus. He will jump at the next remote possibility of getting a job that is even bigger than Spurs. Normal human competitive behaviour - so expect this be the last season for March at Fulham, assuming there isn't another big job coming up for him.

Mbeumo will probably be sold, that’s planned as he’s now at peak price. The rest of the crap with players wanting to leave is all clickbait crap. We will get £60 million for Mbeumo to add to the £200 million the club already have in the bank. He will be replaced without doubt. We’ve signed exciting talent this first window and looks like two very good midfielders coming in after the 10th. We are far from finished and looking forward to the next coach who our DOF said will continue on TFs work and take the club to the next level. Keep enjoying your fantasy. Looking forward to playing you guys next season a great Derby game and top banter with my Fulham buddies.

Looks like another grim window and smaller squad than last year. Only news is about who is leaving or who is wanted by other clubs. Always hope there is action behind the scenes and away from the media. Live in hope…..perhaps Willian will be a hero again at end of window. Am trying to be optimistic, but other clubs getting going quicker than us.

Not sure what you’re meaning about. The “mini” window, which closed at 7pm yesterday was meant for clubs in the world club championship. Why not wait until the window opens proper in July and see what business we do before you start with the usual rhetoric!! Last three seasons or so, we have done great business and we have produced some great results with a record points total last season so not sure what there is to be unhappy about!

Not really a moan, just an observation. Agree window open early to help with club World Cup and assist the constant rule breakers ( man city, Chelsea, Liverpool). I really hope we get the people we want/ need before season starts and we don’t get caught dragging our heels. Have had some good buys in previous windows, but also some not so good, Vinicious being one. Hopefully a striker will be top priority, along with a competent back up keeper and a proactive attacking midfielder. Really hope that Tete extends contract, otherwise a new right back will be needed.

What are your thoughts on the club World Cup? As I understand it, it is FIFA’s way of not losing out to EUFA champions league. So they created a 4 week competition in the summer and put in a billion pounds as prize money to attract the teams. Who is going to watch Real Madrid playing some unknown club teams in Asia or Africa. Some of these big teams will regret participating as they are not resting their players while teams like Liverpool and Barcelona giving their players 4weeks extra rest in a 6 weeks holiday window for the players.

Most clubs will have arranged their friendly programme by now and the players will be disappointed if some nice venue with their families is replaced by a competition in some remote part of the World. The counter to that is the summer is deadly dull without a football competition. Just sitting around doing nothing until the middle of August.

So now it really is odds on, that Thomas Frank will, if he hasn't already been appointed as Spurs next manager, and it is reported that he will be taking 7 of his staff with him, although I haven't seen any reports, that this will include players. At this stage, I am actually feeling quite sorry for the bees supporters, even those that come on here with their mickey taking, as to lose both your manager and some top players after finishing in the top half of the table, must be quite devastating. I know how I would feel if Marco left, and then took some of our players with him. It's the small club against the big club menace again, and until, we really establish ourselves in the Premier League, we along with Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth, and Palace, are still painted as small clubs, whereas, Spurs, as poor as they are, are considered a big club, like Manure United. it's all so unfair.
Replies
If our form didn't collapse in the last few games, and Brentford peaked, the new Spurs manager would have been Marco and not Thomas!! That's how fickle the manager selection is. Somehow club owners have a very short sighted when selecting managers. And the problem with Spurs is the timing! If Mourinho cannot sort out the club culture, do you think Thomas can?! Brentford will be alright - they have Fabio who will come good and be their new hero!

Labour are stupid to create a mountain out of a molehill on the winter fuel. It's relatively small amount of money and frankly makes little difference to the state and majority of the pensioners. They could have cut it by stealth if they really don't want to pay this but instead they wanted all the attention making this cut on day 1 of their administration. Secondly, I thought the winter fuel was once only paid when the average temperature in the winter fall below certain temperature? when did this become a universal payment. Anyway - The point is the fact Labour making a mess of this simple thing, is clear evident they are not very smart people!

Not very smart people, that is surely the understatement of the year. Starmer and his bunch of clowns, including head clown Reeves from accounts, are quite the worst government in my lifetime, and that's a very longtime believe me. By the time, we come to the end of their tenure in government in about 4 years, this country will be completely ruined, that even REFORM, might find it beyond them to fix.

Labour would've been much more for the little people of this country if they'd stuck with Jeremy corbyn and Diane Abbott, kier starmer and all those surrounding him are nothing more than tories in disguise who are advised by tony blair. Starmer will be gone soon anyways and sadiq khan will be stepping in his shoes to become englands first Pakistani prime minister.

Bodger Boris is a lot more intelligent along with Jeremy Hunt all day long and a combination of those two would do better than Reeves and Starmer. Even Sunak as Chancellor would be a better bet. Yes these guys mess up but i never doubt that a top class educated Tory is a better bet to run the country by a country mile. I didn't go to Eton or Oxford but i have no doubt that a higher education is better than a state school education full stop. Raynor has a phobia and a dislike for higher education and richer people and this is a growing trend now in this country. Starmer is a chameleon who will change his mind and tactics where the wind blows and he isn't leader material. The problem we have in this country for a long time now is infrastructure everywhere is crumbling and needs repairs. You name it from the London underground sewers built in the Victorian era which is a huge repair job. No Government will take that on because it will blow the budget and thats the problem. Every party will prioritise projects and the NHS and the usual projects will always come first. The Nuclear project Labour are taking on will not come to fruition for a decade and they will not be in power to see it. Our water system is bad but so is the water in France. Buildings are crumbling in disrepair everywhere and you can buy an old Chateau in France for pennies if you are brave enough to take one on. In Covid we saw the best and worst of human nature and the good was that Bodger and co doled out the most money to bail everyone out in history and Putin decided to try to replicate Alexander the Great starting with the Ukraine and we decided to chip in as you do. Hitler invaded Poland many years ago and Putin is trying the same thing so it is only natural to help out. What would i do smarter? What would you do better than Boris in very unusal and exception circumstances in this period of history?

Spot on OWEN. Now more than ever, we need intelligent and well educated leaders. The world has become so much more complex with technology moving at lightning speed and the working of an economy and the banking system, you will make a mess if you don’t have the intellect to understanding it. I am not suggesting those who went to Oxbridge are necessarily any more intelligent but they have learned how to cope with chaos and how to manage communication better. Look at Trump. He’s smart but he hasn’t got a clue of economics and see what he is doing to the world and also USA economy. In principle I don’t have a problem with Robinhood policies but there’s a balance that you’d need a very good intellect to identify. Sadly we have two leaders neither have the intellect or the smartness to run the country. I like Starmer as a person but I am sure his heart is in the right place but he nor his team are good enough. We had the same issue with Boris, which was a result of Brexit halving the pool of talents for him. The sad truth is like USA, we have Raynor and Vance (US) ready to take over. That would be 100% worse in my view.

Appears another Matt O’Reilly situation. Callum Osmand was offered a new contract but with Marco’s reluctance to give youth a chance you can’t blame him with first team football on offer. Celtic are closing in on a deal to sign promising Fulham striker Callum Osmand as Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season, Celtsarehere understands. The 19-year-old Jersey born striker has been on the radar of the Parkhead scouting team for over a year, with the youngster catching the eye during multiple scouting missions. Celtsarehere understands a medical was scheduled for Osmand last week, signalling significant progress towards completing the move. Osmand enjoyed a strong campaign with Fulham’s Premier League 2 side last season, netting 10 goals and providing four assists across 17 appearances. He also featured in the EFL Trophy, scoring once in three outings, including a goal against Shrewsbury. With his contract at Craven Cottage set to expire, Celtic would only need to pay a training compensation fee for the striker, making the move a low-risk investment in a player with clear potential. Osmand has is now poised to compete for a spot in the senior Celtic side. Our sources indicate Osmand is being lined up as a first-team signing, Brendan Rodgers is believed to be a firm admirer of the player’s attributes and sees him as someone who can immediately compete for minutes. His arrival would add more depth to the forward line. Adam Idah is Celtic’s only recognised first-team out-and-out striker. Daizen Maeda played as a striker with some distinction during periods of last season, but the Celtic manager does prefer him on the wing. A potential loan exit could be back on the cards for Johnny Kenny, with Osmand’s addition likely to push him further down the pecking order. Celtic’s recruitment team have been active early in the window and Osmand represents a move in line with Rodgers’ desire to bring in young talent with room to grow. The striker will be keen to make his mark if the deal is finalised, and it’s a clear signal of Celtic planning ahead.

I went to the Oratory in 1947, when Dr. Summerbell was a headmaster and believe me he would scare anyone misbehaving. Unfortunately, I failed to live up to expectations as every master went out of their way to ensure I paid regular visits to headmaster’s study. However, after the minimum sentence was served I managed to escape. Five years later, I had the greatest of pleasure returning to inform my old form master that his assessment that I would never make a success of life was perfectly correct. Our P.E. master was Jackie O’Neil who played for Brentford in his prime. I subsequently returned to the fold and was on the Old Boy’s Association and used to write a regular news sheet for many years. In addition, I played for the football team from 1957-68 and then took up refereeing. I don’t suppose anyone out there played in the team during my time but if you did please let me know. When ,the school moved to West Brompton I never had the inclination to return as it became removed from my era.

Exactly my thinking John C. Would rather retain Marco but if he does go, then Ange will be a very welcomed replacement. Some may say I'm biased but it's more than that. Our board would give him the freedom he needs unlike the interfering levy. Having said that,Marco is smart enough not to be the next Spurs managerial victim,as whoever takes over from Ange at Spurs surely6 would be.

Not everyone who has an opinion on this subject is a reform voter, i would like to address that first! We love you lots Paddy but sometimes a comment can take a perfectly legit and needed post dragged in an unnecessary direction. We are nice people on here and no need i think to bring words like animals into the subject. That said i do agree that the boat immigrant situation needs sorting out. The rules are if a country needs you, they will call you and those guys especially a load of young men paying money to come over are floating the rules. France doesn't help in any way by standing by waiting and watching a load of people cramming into unsafe boats and coming across to England as they like. 400 Hundred million was given to the French to stop this happening and yes i will brake protocol and say the French are taking the pi.s! The French say that the migrants don't want to stop in France, they want to come to England which is a lame excuse. Firstly they landed in France and they should do more to stop them at their end full stop! That war-time excuse for emptying out of these countries they are coming from is just an excuse and little England cannot accommodate half the world full stop! If Angela Raynor gets her way, she will rip up half of Englands greenbelt to build more houses which will require more infrastructure, towns ,shops, schools ,doctors which we can't afford to do and it will prove impossible, futile and pointless. If mad Putin brings the nuclear out and half the population is fried mince-meat, there might be a case for recruitment from other countries maybe like the windrush back in the fifties. The windrush people came to England knowing the situations vacant jobs were cleaners hospital workers doing hard night shifts ect and by ek'they took those jobs. We now have a situation where there are jobs galore vacant and not enough takers which say's a lot. They have this data from 2 decades coming forward now and what is the point of more migrants than a country needs? If a country needs migrants, they will call migrants and that is the hard rules we should stick with. Austraila was labled as racist for having these rules but now everyone can see the sense in their hard rules. Austrailia has never had a recession and the reason is they recruit in all areas of job skills they need and that includes hairdressers to do the posh old biddies blue rince ect. Farage has tapped into the migrant problem and he will win a lot of votes but to run a country that needs potholeing and multiple of other problems will take a good team and a lot of experience and Reform do not have those skill sets. The best race horse wins the Derby and no doubt paddy will tell us if he backed the best? The best form for government in this country are the Conservatives by a country mile and they have proven it for a hundred years now. I should say the Conservatives without Badenoch as leader because they will lose the nexy election with that one for sure. Bring back the King' Boris' and he is my idea of a winner and he will win back voters and an election. Forget the crap about 14 years this and that. No party had Covid and the Ukraine war to deal with. Boris and co gave out too much money which they had to give out so the maths Racheal from accounts is still crying about wiil not work out obviously. Jeremy Hunt has more brains than we gave him credit for and if he had another two years as chancellor some of this mess Labour got their sticky hands on would have been sorted. Anyone who says the Conservatives are a racist bunch should take a hard look at facts and the facts are the Conservatives have allowed more migrants into this country more than most. But now calls for a time of capping and a more hardent approach like the Rwanda plan which would have worked saved the Euro bureaucracy which we don't need or want.

Fundamentally there's a conflict of interest in the French government stopping the boat. If the French want to stop the boat, they can stop it by enforcing some licensing to sell dingy's above certain size. It is not like a pair of trainers - there can't be many sellers selling these dingys that can sit 20-30 people. Make the sellers accountable. A bit like selling a gun!

It doesn't look like we will realise much funds from outgoing transfers (maybe £15m for Parreira should he leaves), nor we are massively reducing our salaries from the exits. So I just wonder how much transfer budget that will be made available for Marco? We spent big last summer and probably all the money we had from Mitro and Palhinha. If we want to progress, I think we need another summer of big recruitment and also to bring the average age down in the squad. This means another £50-60m spend. We need to keep Tete. We need a couple of wingers and a striker as a minimum. If not, I am very concerned we will not improve and probably regress.

It always amazes me, that other clubs, especially the so called smaller clubs, are spending money like it's going out of fashion, but with us at Fulham it is all hesitation. Annoyingly clubs like Chelsea, Man City, and Notts Forest are spending money like water, but how can they getaway with it, as they are already threatened with points deductions, from last season. Answers on a postcard please.

If clubs won't pay our asking price for Andreas then we need to drop the asking price I think. He needs to go,hasn't scored a goal in ages and not so sure we should persist with him. Josh King needs to play more regularly . And some younger cheaper players could be plucked from somewhere Am I dreaming?

If Spurs willing to pay £50m for Muniz. Why not? Like Sess, we might get him back for free in 4 years time when he’d still be only 26 or 27. I’d take that to strengthen the squad.

Last summer the owner got a £100m loan to pay for transfers. Loans are not permanent so are not treated like a debt. He will probably do this again as most other Clubs in the PL do it and it gets around the FIFA rules perfectly legitimately.

Redundancies and outsourcing to save costs is required. The club should get rid of the stewards and get tenders in from outside companies. Redevelop Motspur Park like Norwich have done with their facilities to generate income. Pay the minimum wage where possible, they’re probably all on Universal Credit anyway so the taxpayers can cover any shortfall. If daddy Khan is reading, I’m available.

We need to sign someone Rasmus Hojlands age 22. He is the future, he played well in FC Copenhagen and for Atlanta in Serie A in Italy. He can score goals but has to have the ball to do so. His nerves are pobably shot to pieces but I'd sooner have him than Alejandro Grancho the Argentinian who's so moody you do not now which player is going to turn up. He's a winger anyway, not a cf.

It took 18 months of planning, apparently and now on the eve of planned peace talks to go ahead Mon- Tuesday the Ukrainians firstly have taken out two bridges on the border regions of Kursk and Bryansk and now the latest news goes further to say the Ukrainians have now gone thousands of miles into Russia and destroyed 40 warplanes with each one costing more than 3.5 million pounds which is a humungous amount into the Russian war budget, i believe it is about 34%. This war has caught the eyes of anyone and everyone involved in the study of warfare for one reason only and that reason is drones and how they have impacted modern warfare. I gotta take a second look at that film 'Terminator Salvation' and watch all those drones swarming around which might have accidentally tapped into the future of advanced warfare. The Ukrainians did warn and brag about a special drone that can go 3000 miles and deeper into Russia but i don't think anyone was listening and if they are listening and hearing, the only take-down happening lately was Putin knocking down buildings which were genuine military targets, apparently while peace talks were in progress. Here are a few things to take from this war so far up to date: There have been not many British storm shadow missiles fired into Russia or any from the French contingent or even the German arsenal which is huge. Putin is firing off missiles and drones into Ukraine as fast as you can say 'Jack Robinson' in volumes and yet Ukraine they wait' they plead for more help from the west. Zelensky is laughed off as a comedian and Trump can find no love for him yet i think he is a master planner who is probably a chess grand master. They say if the Russians advance further into all of Ukraine at the rate and speed they are going, it would take them 100 years and more to conquer all of Ukraine. Just think about this logically for a minute. The 2nd world war was a momumental 5 years and there are Russian soldiers out in the field for more than 3 years now. Is Zelensky allowing Russian soldiers to take over parts of Ukraine that are not places of strategic importance? Seriously' are those soldiers Russian and North Korean sitting ducks waiting for a slaughter while Ukraine plan a 18 month daring heist which they pull off with perfection on the eve of another peace talk. Will the Russians turn up for this one? Or will the impulsive and unpredictable Putin put one finger over the nuke button? Goodness knows! His other friend the 5 year old who holds the keys to the White House of all places will talk to his friend again for the umpteenth time and don't hold your breath folks' 50% steel tarrifs are a-coming because baby Trump wants to show he is big Dog. Sorry his son didn't get into Harvard University because his son couldn't add up 2+2 or even throw and dunk a few baskets where it counts. Apparently they like a talented basket ball player no matter the grades. Over and out!!!!!!

Owen, whilst I do not totally disagree with you the main players are both egotistical megalomaniacs which is extremely dangerous. Trump, has shunned pleas to imposed further sanctions which would have brought Putin to heel and as a result Putin has no intention of entering serious peace talks. State controlled media has convinced the majority of the Russian population that Putin is correct in his actions. The Russian economy is in dire straits and if Trump was to impose further sanctions then it is a that Putin would be able to survive. I suspect the Oligarchs will, at some point, will say “enough is enough” and engineer the removal of this tyrant. At present, Trump admires the fact that Putin is in complete control of Russia and would like to be in a similar position in America. He has surrounded himself with sycophants and has lost sight of the fact that America is a Democracy. With restrictions being lifted by the West on what Ukraine can do with weaponry being supplied we may well see attacks being launched on Moscow although, attacks may just be confined to military targets. There. Have been many sabotage targets within Russia which appear well co-ordinated and successful. However, until Trump realises that Putin has made him look like a fool the conflict is likely to carry on as Putin needs a victory to maintain his status as an all conquering leader.

Apparently Trump reacted angrily towards universities and is withholding funds by using another excuse of the wrong protest by students. A lot of people are saying that he is not happy his son was rejected. Trump has form for impeachment and he has gone after everyone involved in his impeachment which is the wrong way to run a presidency. Brace yourselves for a summer of turmoil. We need stability and a strong summer of improvement, the current squad will not be good enough next season. It seems likely Silva is set to leave with Juventus now being his destination. Robinson is also set to leave with a number of big clubs wanting his signature. Perreira is another likely to leave. We need to do business early and be settled for pre season, it looks likely this will not be the case. We cannot afford a poor start to the new season.

We shall see? No good worrying it is not our job to sell and buy players. If we get a squad that plays like the Champions League winners I will be happy. Every player knew what they had to do and did that and a lot more as well.

Here we go again, with another unfounded story from people like Ready Freddy, that Matco is about to leave, and Robinson is off to pastures new, which we all know is a load of old rubbish. Marco, unless you missed it Freddy, is still under contract for another season, and he is already planning next seasons signings, which I'm sure are at well advanced stage. Jedi, as we all know, has just had an operation to make sure that he is fit for next season, and no other clubs have come in for him, and as far as I know he is still happy to be staying, so why make up these stupid stories, and why don't you just rely on facts.

Craven, as usual, a sensible reply to Freddy’s comment. There is far too much speculation on who is leaving and who we may buy but, at the end of the day, we have no say in the matter. Marco will be told how much money is available and he will already have a reasonable idea of his targets.

If you are sport writer at this time you are looking for good players at what they think are poor teams and forecast that some of the teams they think are good teams will buy them. If we had beat Palace in the Cup we would have gone on to win the cup and finish in a Champions League place. Little things have big consequence and we could tell anyone who wanted to buy our best players to get stuffed if things had gone the other way. The players should not have so distracted by that result as what should have been a good season turned into a bad one.

Didn't PSG play well tonight, and it's quite worrying that we think that the Premier League is the bees knees, but maybe we are not after all, as tonight we saw a display of full attacking football, and a really decent team like Inter were really shown up, in which was for them, quite embarrassing. Their ball control was quite amazing, and for such a young team to read the situations so quickly, was quite spell binding. Unfortunately it made what appeared to be a super final, an almost boring one, being that it was so one sided. Finals are supposed to be competitive, but this one just wasn't.
Replies
I have to disagree with you, as PSG, as good as they were, had a really hard job beating both Liverpool and Arsenal, in fact if Liverpool had been better at a penalty shoot out, it would probably have been them that carried off the trophy last night. The Premier League is still, in my opinion, the best league in the world, and that's why so many players from overseas want to play here.

When you see the likes of Tottenham and Man utd below us in 15th and 17th you know they have more problems than us and i imagine more to gripe and groan about. The other end we see the other side and the little big man syndrome of teams like Newcastle and Villa who will no doubt throw more money than sense at the Champions league to compete with the big boys and we all know you pay the price and the fall is a big one but enjoy the ride while it last, Pheeewww!!! My main point about the next four teams that finished ahead of us did their homework and recruitment a touch more smarter than us and if we are to compete and better them, we must be smarter in recruitment period! Forest Brighton Bournemouth and Brentford are not a million miles ahead of us and all we need to do is pick better and quicker when the summer transfer window opens and thats it, there is no rocket science to recruitment apart from picking players and convincing them to come to Fulham instead of going elsewhere, how hard can it be? We have a mixture of African players Chinese or South Korean, Usa, European and English players out there available when the top four take their pick and have their fill. Our recruitment team really need specsavers if the keep getting it wrong and we need to have a look at our recruitment team.

Before the Man City match I suspect majority of the fans thought it would be a good idea for Cairney to move on, especially with Wrexham prepared to offer him a career ending payoff contract. I wonder if the one game against Man City has changed many fans mind? More importantly has it changed Marco’s mind. I couldn’t tell the fact we couldn’t get more out of Cairney season is the fault of Marco or Cairney just gone past his sell by date. But after the game against Man City, the course of his twilight career may have well changed. I can see him getting another one year contract with the club having an option for. Second year. At which point, he will likely to move onto the coaching team. I could be wrong but just shows sometimes how fickle professional football is!! Your last game is the game that matters!

This team needs upgrades if we have any hope of finishing above 54 points, andAndreas is where we have to start. He has been too unproductive with so many minutes over three seasons. As a 10, his finishing is awful, and the stats say his passing accuracy and tackling are awful. If we don’t sell him, we have no ambition. And we need to create room for Josh King. Harrison Reed needs to be moved on, too, and one would think that a Sunderland or Burnley, or a Southhampton looking for a quick return to the EPL, would want him. Obviously, Vini and Willian will go. Let’s put the wages of those four players into 1-2 players. A goal-scoring winger and a box-to-box creator. Personally, I think Sess deserves a run of games as a starter. He has shown the ability to score and assist. If given 30-35 matches, he will easily have more goals than Adama, for example. Re-signing Tete is a must. TC should do what’s best for himself - if that’s Wrexham, and a ton of TV exposure, fair play.

Perfectly correct Drago and we need Smith Rowe to step up to the plate and prove he can justify his fee. Far too often he avoids contesting for the ball when we need a mid-field dynamo who can last the whole game and I have yet to that of him.

MST, our moderator, has an onerous task and we should appreciate how he carries out his duties. For far too long, foul language has been far too prevalent and normally reflects on a person’s inability express themselves in our beautiful language. Therefore, posters should think before they add comments containing abusive or unnecessary language which could give offence.

Smith Rowe got more goals than him in premiership and he cost 80m so who the worst at picking players and I still feel he will come good

I hope your correct.ESR needs to improve his overall stamina, which will also improve his mental strength. I don't believe he has come to terms with the fact that Arsenal let him go and it's difficult for him to forget that and he needs to move on and accept Fulham way of life.

All the talk about recruitment and the lack of it or the wrong type is not helpful to our cause if we do nothing or don't act quickly enough to secure investment. Take a team like Notts Forest, for instance we can say that we are competing in the same p-pot as them when we look at the players available to them and all of us, including teams around us. We do have the beating of Forest which is a good point but they have finished higher than us with i would say a modest recruitment strategy which fared better than ours comparing league tables. The only recruitment problems we seem to have is snobbery and missed opportunities and i am certain that some of you guys can point out players from other teams that we could have gotten if we had acted quickly enough. Team recruitment is always a matter of opinion but the proof is in the pudding and i think that Forest had a better strategy and plan, judging from their league position. There are always a few gems available and not too over-priced and we and teams around us have the same equal chances of getting them but the final decision is down to Marco and the recruitment team who need to wake up and act accordingly. We were maybe two or three players short of a better points tally further up the table so we miss out on a nice euro spot...
Replies
I do not agree Owen, I think stupid substitutions have been our problem, they have unbalanced the team in the last 10 to 15 minutes, for example, why take off Harry when he was our only goal threat, I think we would have won that game if Ryan and Harry were on the pitch at the same time. The media think Marco is a substitute genius as sometimes it works but supporters know different.

At Southampton FC there is Arron Ramsdale (27 Years) GK back up for Leno, Tyler Dibling (19) MF, Kyle Walker-Peters (28) D and Flynn Downes (26) DMF all worth looking at - Tyler Dibling is an excellent player but we would be priced out of any deal to get him. Ipswich. None. Noticed that Cameron Burgess was playing in MF for them last year. He was a Fulhma player not to long ago! At Leicester City, Oliver Skipp (24) MF and Viktor Kristiansen (22) LB who played this past season on loan at Bolonga in Italy in every game. Would be an excellent replacement for Antonee Robinson. He's a full international and played well for FC Kobenhavn! Wonder if anyone who matters ever looks at these listings?

We have enough old Premier League players how about a few from European teams who speak English or Spanish or Portuguese.

Agreed, it is about time we looked for fresh blood and seek out foreign players who, in general, less expensive. In addition, they appear more enthusiastic than those old Premier players who have been around the block a couple of times and have lost their cutting edge. I am not sure our scouting team like to travel beyond Milton Keynes.

Sometimes the comments on this board, that are meant well, with all these suggestions for new players, make me chuckle. as don't you think that Marco and his team, haven't already thought of the names that are being mentioned, and more besides I'm sure. If we had our way we would be signing everyone available, including Mr Grealish. Things must be going on behind the scenes, so let's just sit back, enjoy the summer, and get exited, when new signings are announced, as of course there will be.

Last Saturday, not ONE English player started and ANY team in the EPL. It has happened before a couple of times, but what a disgrace that the country that invented the sport can't find at least one player to start.

Couldn’t agree more Ted. What a sorry state of affairs.:( Craven you are of course absolutely right. Despite the clubs poor record of acquiring their transfer targets in the past, I don’t imagine TK/MS et al woke up on the 26th May and said, I suppose we’d better look for a few new players.

The end of the season has brought some excellent posts from the usual half a dozen posters and I thank you were making this board interesting with your comments. As some of us were brought up in a different age to some of the younger posters I would ask people to refrain from swearing and Paddy please refrain from blaspheming. I consider it inappropriate and suspect many others will agree with me. I wish everyone a wonderful summer, whatever you are doing, and keep posting. Football news will be in short supply so other newsworthy subject might be considered.

Bigboy, how good it is have these comments, from which I feel is a genuine Fulham fan.and I just have to agree with you that there is far to much nastiness on this board at times, especially when we lose, Also, how annoyingly the infiltrators from Brentford are, when they keep coming on to this site with completely stupid remarks, especially as we proved to be the better side with a well won double over bees this season. They will never forgive us for that. Ha ha.

At the start of this last season, I bet Fulham FC who I have supported since 1958 would finish 10th and that looked on until we beat Liverpool FC and have not won a game since. Terrible finish. I know we have the oldest sqad and the smallest squad in the Prem but why why did the Manager not give some of our termendous Under 21 side a run out? Now we all have to wait to see what sort of side we will field next season.

I think yesterday’s loss is probably the first time we lost this season where I walked away not feeling disappointed with the team or the manager. I felt the team played well and more importantly tried very hard to get a result. Whereas I felt all the games we lost before are either due to lack of trying, losing concentration, the manager making stupid substitute decisions, or just plain calamity. All left a bit of a sour taste. I didn’t get that feeling yesterday. Marco made a good decision to start Cairney as I felt he made a difference and played his best game this season. We ran and tried different things to create chances. Players worked hard. I like Cuenca. We must keep Tete as he’s the coolest right back out there. At the end of the day, we have to accept Man City are just a better team.
