i know the transfer window is not officially open until July 1st. Although I don't totally agree,I understand they want to protect the international tournaments. But why is this stopping clubs from signing players now? How come some clubs are allowed to sign players now?? They should open the transfer window earlier so clubs can plan well in advance of their pre-season which starts in a weeks time!
Agree should be open when season ends

If admin are reading this, you really need to change the format because, on a phone, it is so easy to do with both buttons actually touching one another.

My answer to Arizonian regarding a Danish filly is I don't have the looks, energy, time or inclination:-)))

I have not listened to 'EXODOS' movement of 'JA people's' for a long while now, from a Bob Marley album... We are a nervous lot, us fans at the moment, but there are good signs i think when things are quiet. I am very relieved that the newcastle interest in Tom Cairney has died down, and i think Cairney is the key factor that holds everyone together. Funnily enough,i think that Gordon Strachan did us a favour by not playing Cairney in that last game for scotland. I was kind'a hoping Tom did not feature and play a blinder. The only strong interest in Cairney was newcastle strangely, and i don't think that would have suited Tom. It is a bigger issue up town and moving sticks more than what people think. There will be talks with families and friends, will the area suit your needs? North and South is very different, and money isn't always the key denominator in a move as big as this. I like Tom Cairneys attitude and temperament which is excellent, and the opposite of Ross Mcormack. Ross's move was a disaster big time, and i think he regrets it now. Tom Cairney has soaked up all the compliments towards his game and like a decent pro, he takes them in his stride, and not gone big headed! He has set his stalls out and decided that another season down here at SW6 is the best decision in the circumstances which says a lot for his family also, he is a good un folks' i like Tom, and i also think that his decision has a stabalizing effect on the rest of our squad. I sense that a few fans are getting rather nervous? but i think we are sensible and calm in the main down here. Slavisa is responsible overall for this calmness and the fact that he didn't show any interest in moving to pastures new, has added to the stability down here at fulham. So far so good folks' BREATH IN, BREATH OUT!!!

Am I the only one who thinks we are getting left at the post ?,each time our name is mentioned with a player three other teams come out of the compost heap and that's it all over, knowing how tight we are down at sw6 I think we will be last in the queue even for the chuckle brothers. We even seem to be making a pigs ear out of Kalas signing, over seas players who don't seem to clever are all turning there nose up at us,i know its early but there seems so little out there that want to come to FFC.Are we really so tight?, what am I saying !!!of course we are. Even loans are thinking twice who they are farmed out to.
Lots more clubs have not signed players yet window not open till 1st July Kalas as not moved anywhere yet so no pigs ear yet Jokanovic still on holiday to much rumours and paper talk calm down did not do bad in last years window

You say we did all right last season, did we?we were knocked out of efl cup early, beat a prem team in FA cup who were crap and went down, and then were hammered by spurs,we let in 54 goals, made the playoffs then lost twice to a team we already had beat then saw then beaten by a team that we put 9 goals past and won exactly nothing. So this aint moaning my old loves its observation ,if Kalas wanted to stay why has he not made it clear that's what he wants, so far not a word, instead we have a c/b that no one on the coaching staff wants , that's what I call a good start to any season .

Bishop Every game stands by its self. It dont matter how many we stuck passed H field. Its on the day that counts. Reading worked us out and we had no answer with them on two games. If we carnt play better and beat teams like that we did not deserve to go up. Wolves B city derby did the same to us.As with Kalas we will just have to wait and see. If he dont come to us it aint the end of the world.
posted by geezer (Guest) - Sunday 25th June 2017, 2:15 PM
Bish I would remind you, 14 new players in, many many people predicting relegation, at best a mid table finish. Now you are complaining, amongst other things that we didn't get through the playoffs. Come on we did very well to get there. I would suggest our problem were threefold, inconsistency, playing Button for too long, he cost us many points and not biting the bullet with Martin and getting rid of at the first sign of trouble. I saw him play quite a few games when he obviously wasn't interested. The only time he broke into a trot some games was to get of the pitch for his daily doughnuts. All in all it was a v.good season beyond your wildest dreams. In transfer negotiations it isn't always in the clubs hands, players, their current club are going to go to the wire to get the best deal. Kalas hasn't gone anywhere else, this C/B nobody seems to want. Has he been signed? I don't know, does anyone? Has Cairney or Sessingnon or MacDonald gone, not that I'm aware of? They may do, but idle gossip and speculation isn't going to make one jot of difference other than to irritate the more patient of us. Don't fret whatever happens it'll be ok:)) we won't lose the whole team or sign another 14 dogs :))) Sh*t if we do we risk bloody promotion, then what would we do?
posted by Mortlake (Guest) - Sunday 25th June 2017, 3:07 PM
Mortey my amigo, my minds on next season which starts very soon, and at the moment we have no striker worth talking about,no center back ,worth talking about , two keepers no one is sure about, who ever plays some one will not be happy,we could lose a star mid /f and a star defender, but as yet we are all in the dark, nothing from any player to say I am staying, and all you hear in talk about stat man wanting one thing and S/J another, some one steady the ship.

Really pleased that Cauley Woodrow has endorsed a contract extention, because he did really well on loan at Burton Albion and scored some really good goals. Being an England Under 21 is also important. We need to keep out international players. Kalas is an aim not the be and end of all things, but we must have two decent defenders in before the season starts in 6 weeks also a proven striker of quality. What about bidding for Chris Woods of Leeds, he was amongst the goals last term or Andreas Cornilius (formerly with Cardiff City), Andreas Christensen on loan from(Chelsea Ch on loan at Borussia Munchengladbach last season),Uffe Bech a forward from Hannover '96 or Joel Veltman from Ajax (def), Marco van Ginkel loan (from Chelsea) (mfd), Wes Hoolhan (Mfd)from Norwich City as a replacement for Scott Parker or Darren O'Dea from Dundee ....
Dont suppose that a 2 year contract for Woodrow makes his resale price a little higher?

I asked the (one and only) IT bloke whether he's archived it but he said nobody was interested. Shame really, as it was in a top down format which preserved the timeline and made it easy to read. From memory there were several hundred posts. Don't suppose anyone kept a copy?

Fulham Anglers ran coaches once or twice a month; Kennet, Hampshire Avon, upper Thames. The Thames through London was dirty back in the day, not that it mattered much - we still swam in it - so we always tried to get to rural waters. The mecca was a tackle shop on Fulham Road near Parsons Green and the club met in a school on Dawes Road. Coarse season must be just opening. Good luck with the rod Len. Jim

It hasn't quite happened yet, but with the addition of Steve Mounie from montpellier who is a central striker, life is looking a bit rosier down at SW6. I must give Marcelo Djalo a mention here? He is apparently a central defender, and handpicked through a system by Craig Kline and Tony Khan. It is a stats system imported from america apparently, and i admit i don't know much about it. Before i elaborate any further on the rights and wrongs of any system,or what works or don't work? If in the case of Marcelo, the system picked central defender? I hope it works out if we sign him... It isn't the tried and tested Brian Clough and Peter Taylor way of recruiting players or the Alex fergie way,but let's get on board with this, let's give stats a chance! Cloughie and Fergie didn't always get it right when signing players and i dare say that this stats system from our guys upstairs won't always be right. I am quite happy to go along with any system of picking players, so long as Slavisa gets a say in picking some recruits too... There is a growing trend in the boardroom staff recruiting players onboard in a lot of teams in this modern day. I have no problem with this so long as the board can recognise fairly early when a player they have signed from a computer stats system isn't working, and can take swift action and admit they were wrong, then say consult the manager to sign a player in the position they failed in, if that makes sense... I just want a happy manager and team this season, and i think we are getting there. Let's all get on board and beat the same drum, and we all want to achieve the same goal, and that goal is promotion back to the premiership! I think Stevie Mounie is a slavisa preferred recruitment, and a target from last season? One thing for sure is, he will be a better proposition than the failure of Chris Martin!!! I am looking forward to this coming season, and i know you guys all feel the same!!!
Owen, I love your posts and they always cheer me up. One small point though, we don't have a "manager", we have a "coach" and that's not a simple issue of semantics. I don't like this stats driven model and it's not the be-all and end-all of NFL recruitment either, as some make out. A useful adjunct perhaps, but not the sole criteria by any means.
posted by The Arizonan - Thursday 22nd June 2017, 11:42 PM
Great to see you back on here bob! If this stats system works out 6 out of 10? and we find a few more gems like young sess? (i don't think sess was a stat) then bring it on! So long as our coach slavisa gets a say so on who comes into our squad. I gotta get used to saying 'COACH!!! I DIG IT MAN!!! I think i know a lot more american slang than MST down in the sticks.. (HA' HA') FULHAM'LET'S DO IT ALREADY! LET'S GET THAT PROMOTION THIS COMING SEASON!!!!!!
posted by OWEN (Guest) - Friday 23rd June 2017, 12:02 AM
Those who recruit people, how many times have you seen people with a great at cv but when you meet them, it isn't what you think, or worse still, you hire them and they are complete rubbish. My point is the stats is their cv and the coach is their to validate and make the final call, if that is the process we follow , it is the right one!
posted by John (Guest) - Friday 23rd June 2017, 12:13 AM
Well, if that's the protocol we follow ... Seems not John. SJ identifies players, we don't sign 'em. Front office (NFL Term) bring players in, SJ don't play 'em. All well and good until you overlay that with FFP. There's no financial room for baggage to sit on the bench. JIM in Arizona

Last years transfers were good and done using the system set up by the club, the manager knows the system and signed a new contract so what is this issue??
posted by JBH (Guest) - Friday 23rd June 2017, 1:33 PM
Sabermetrics, isn't it? Calculates the effectiveness of players based on key statistics, for example: % tackles won, shots:goals, win %. It's a nice idea, in theory, and probably more suited to Championship level football, as clubs can afford to take moderate transfer risks. However, the system is destined to fail in the endless £££s of the Premier League. Having said that, build a great team from nothing, and who knows what will happen!
posted by Dan (Guest) - Friday 23rd June 2017, 3:43 PM
I have no problem with a stats based approach but i think it is valid to question why Djalo has never made it out of the Spanish 2nd division. I mean he was at Granada B, how bad do you have to be not to get into Granada's first team!?!

Y'all know you can get good stats if your opposition is rubbish. No? And if you go a step higher you could fail to reproduce them... Unless the gaffer is willing to give you a season to improve. Also, in many things, the qualitative and quantitative analysis goes together.

Posts are being deleted on this site. Not because they are offensive, racist or any other "ist" that you could name, but simply because the "moderator(s)" do not like or agree with them. Because they do not conform to what THEY think. This is disgusting.
Totally agree with you as still waiting for an answer to why some of mine have been deleted earlier MST says its not him - so whoever you are why dont you just say why you are singulary setting yourself up as judge and jury, and who are you?

Hmmm. Interesting. I've had a few deleted on TIff - as threads rather than posts. Nothing, by any involved, offensive, racist or blasphemous. But every one debating the attributes, or otherwise, of the influence of the Khan family and acolytes has been deleted. Not for one minute do I think MST is complicit on any similar deletions here. So, wassup?

As far as I know MST and I are the only moderators although Admin do visit the site. I have not deleted anything for ages, quite a while ago there was a F and F you...type post that was not needed. I agreed to moderate as there was sabotage, I assume from other clubs supporters, which made this board unable to be used and to moderate you had to have registered. Anyway, I will find it difficult to get to the board much before the season begins so I hope MST or Admin can catch anything untoward. Lets hope this season will be one to remember.

posted by jimjim (Guest) - Wednesday 21st June 2017, 11:29 PM
The majority of the land between Fulham Palace road and the river (the Fulham Palace Estate) was owned by the Church of England and probably came with leasehold caveats as to temperance. The Crabtree Estate was not church property, which is why the Crabtree pub exists. As for Parsons Green there were several pubs on the lane. from memory, and also on New Kings road for the Sands End mob. I think Worple Way might have the answer, but it would cost you a couple of pints (London Pride hopefully).
posted by The Arizonan - Thursday 22nd June 2017, 2:32 AM
I posted that this was due to the change in demographics. Less English people in London & more people from other countries, who do not frequent pubs like the original majority population did. This post was disgracefully deleted. WHY ?

We are witnessing the death of a culture here and we will surely regret it. If you own a pub around Fulham you would have to be charging about £20 a pint to get a similar return to what you would get from residential use. There is a new generation coming through who sit at home, watch boxsets, play computer games and buy their booze from Tesco. Many of them even work from home so don't even go out during the day. They are losing the ability to relate to anyone outside their immediate work / home circle and wouldn't know what to do in a pub. Very soon Mrs Thatcher will be proved right and there will be no such thing as society.I will spend my last days stuck indoors talking only to those people I already know and who take the time to contact me via whatever gimmick is the newest thing then. I and many others like mewill slip off sad , lonely and forgotten because there is nowhere for me to go to exercise what remains of my social skills.

Kalas has not signed for Hull or indeed any other team at this time, so who knows maybe Fulham will sign him permanently, if that deal is on offer. We certainly need to find some decent defenders because it is in my mind the defence which was our weakness last season. The old tried and test policy of leaving everything to the last minute should be avoided and Fulham should be lining up some better players to pull on our shirts next season as we have to improve on last years perforamce to hold on to the squad we have got. The Manager has shown excellent loyalty, I just hope our players do the same. What about resigning Patrick Roberts on loan? I'm sure he'd love to return to the Cottage.
The fact they have made Stearman available for loan today to other championship clubs means we are actively looking for a CB, he already wanted a CB in January to top up the squad so expect at least 2 players to come in that position, maybe 1 major striker signing and a cover striker and another central midfield player to cover the burden on Cairney and Johanson.

Don't panic, the window is open for another 11 weeks! if we miss out on Kalas it will be because Jokanovic doesn't want him.

Hints old mate, why the keyboard? Interesting idea but I can't see how a non-variable (assumption) key like "enter" would have an impact on text formatting. What's happening is that so-called "whitespaces" are being deleted in the post's final form. This filter effect removes tabs (like LF or RTN) and reduces space characters after a period (full stop to you laddie) to one. The website code is not commented but seems generic and treats all posts the same; I can find no instance of a trim filter in the html code Therefore, the ability of MST and Adam to use tabs is an artifact of their configuration, in all probability. So, until we know the ins and outs of the cat's arse on their configurations, to use a phrase, we're up the proverbial brown creek without a paddle (to use another phrase). Que sera sera, as they say in The Rocks (or not). She'll be right...

Apparently we have made a bid for Montpellier striker Steve Mounie. Very close name to that other bloke we had from France.
John Hollins, excellent Capt and Manager of Chelsea and Dave Hollins older brother of John, a goalkeeper played for Chelsea no relation played for Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United, Mansfield Town and Aldershot before appearing for non-league Romford Town. Similar name but very different paths when it came to their careers. Steve Marlet as a Fulham player was a one-off, thankfully. He has one good season and that cost us a fortune. But you could argue that Bobby Zamora had only one good season, that was for Fulham when we reached the Europa Cup final and had it not been for Diego Forlan's goal we would have won! At least Fulham seem to be getting a striker who want to play for our club in!

These next few weeks will be crucial down at SW6. Surprisingly, we have held on to all our key players and resisted the might of the £££sss... The players are only human and time will tell if we can hold on to everybody. I am pleasantly surprised that the likes of Tom Cairney and young Sess are still here at fulham. It proves that we are one happy family, and facing the might of the dollar, there surely must be temptation to make that killer move that could make a big difference financially. I wonder if the likes of Macormack moving and stuttering at the villa, got everybody thinking? To stay just one more season and maybe get promotion? To say another season at fulham will be better for the likes of young Sess? Time will tell if we can all stay together and add to our talented squad.Keep up the good work Slavisa'''''
The window doesn't open for another 11 days yet so players under contract with their clubs can't be signed anyway.

I know Cauley is not Slavisa's favourite striker, but if he is rated as thesecond best under 21 English striker, by the international selectors behind Tammy Abrahams, surely he is worth given games to see if he is as good a striker as some people think. There aren't many players who love this club like he does. With the good players we now have, maybe he could become the striker we are lacking.

All tightarse khan want are loanees, we will be in the poop again next season as it will be Stearman and Ream to help the rest of the league slot 80+ goals past us again.

What do you lot think about the new rules about football that the Fa etc are talking about. Or is it the televison people want out of the game. Dont for get football has sold out to the devil
Again the governing bodies are trying to find a solution and maybe looking for further commercial opportunities (stopping the clock allows future games to be stopped for tv commercials), than to fix problem at source. They can fix the in 5 mins by 1) give players clear guidance that walking slowly off the pitch is a bootable offence 2) book more players for clear time wasting. And 3) provide a visible and transparent stop watch (to fans and players) of the injury time being added. Two halves of 30mins is a completely stupid idea!
posted by John (Guest) - Sunday 18th June 2017, 9:05 PM
Solutions looking for a problem (which doesn't exist). The referee can flash the yellow for time wasting right now without any rule changes, if the Premier League would allow it (which they won't). I do like the ten minute sin bin idea to accompany the yellow card however. Might concentrate some minds ...
posted by The Arizonan - Sunday 18th June 2017, 11:12 PM
Agree think ten minutes in the stands if you get a yellow card would be a good idea - it works in Rugby. At the moment you can commit a foul and receive a yellow and the " victim" has to leave the field to get medical attention meaning his team are down to ten men- can't be right!

Personally I would let him go if Nottingham Forest bid £7m
Why? He's worth much more than that to Fulham. We don't need to build a new team again we need to keep last season's together and add to it otherwise we'll have to start all over again. Continuity is the key. These players know each other and have spent a season learning each other's game so that our football flows and is incisive. Letting anyone of the first team squad go would be a mistake in my opinion.

MacDonald is the big lad who plays in the midfield, wins balls in the air, distributes the ball well, tracks back, fills in for so many potentially calamitous outcomes when our back four mess up etc... etc... If you think he's not much good then you must have him confused with somebody else!

McDonald is not the flashiest of players, and he doesn't always stand out in a game, when everyone looks out for sess'and your Alukos running with the ball. He has his weaknesses but overall, we need to look at the big picture. Take out an important piece out of unit, could disrupt everything!

Good luck to David Stockdale as he joins Harry’s revolution in our second city. He certainly performed heroics last season beside the seaside and it is a shame that no one thought he was good enough to invite back to the cottage. I’m pleased interest in Bettenilli seems to have cooled from along the Kings Road. He’s going to become an excellent goal keeper and deserves to keep our No 1 shirt. Looking for a forward?, what about Andreas Cornelius who had a season at Cardiff City and currently plays for F C Kobenhan he may be a lumbing centre forward but he scores lot of goals! Or Viktor Fisher an attacking midfielder currently with relegated Middlesborough ? We could certainly do with Andreas Christansen to partner Thomas Kalas in defence both from Chelsea. Christansen had been on loan at Borussia Dortmund this past season
Looking for a forward? What about the kid in Under 21's squad tonight? Cauley wassisnname.

What's happened there is completely unbelievable!! I can't think of any words to describe the tragedy and how awful for so many people to die in their sleep in what was effectively an inferno! I can't think of anything worse since 911 - seeing lives are lost completely helplessly. This situation is even more unique and tragic because we are not talking about individuals from a family (such as the recent attacks or even 911) but the entire family die together.

Grenfell is very close to QPR ground. So my heart also goes to any QPR fans caught up in the tragedy.
It is a tragedy that it happened but what I really think is out of place at this time is people protesting about it outside the town hall whilst the emergency services are still trying to piece together what actually happened and why the fire spread so quickly.

I agree someone needs to be found accountable but that is for the immediate future not now and it certainly shouldn't be used by some politicians to score points.

An absolute tragedy and I mean an absolute tragedy but blaming politicians? What are they supposed to do? A public enquiry has been announced and each survivor will receive a minimum of £10k each plus whatever their insurers will pay out. The loss of life and the families affected are the most important people here in my opinion and a witch hunt by people who weren't even affected by this devestating event will help no one. Kids breaking into council buildings and vigilanties from other communities are making matters far worse and the press are adding to the unrest in the area by their continued bombardment of the same questions and the same reports everyday. The people affected should be allowed to grieve in peace without all this vitriol. I know that's what I'd want..

Of course it's awful and Yes it's definitely Teresa Mays fault ? Don't we love to blame someone. Not that I'm her greatest fan but surely it's the building and safety rules that are not good enough. I know councils have had their funding cut back but they seem to find money for hundreds of cycle routes and more and more traffic lights bus lanes and rather nice offices I'll not mention anything crazy that councils seem to spend a fortune on in case I'm accused of being far too right wing. Terry has barely played in the last season and a half. He hasn't got a hope of keeping fit for 46 league games. Whatever his wage demands will be (exceptionally high), he would not be a worthwhile signing for anyone. He's old, slow and quite simply out of practice.

Milan Manderic's reign crippled them not Redkanp. Harry made the request for players perhaps but it was Manderic who stumped up the cash and mortgaged the club so to do. He could have said "no" not once but several times. You also have to remember that Harry bought some class players to Portsmouth and everyone was happy to ride the wave whilst it lasted.....

Believe it or not? i don't think we are too far away of getting promotion back to the prem this season! Thinking about our defensive frailties of last season, John Terry might have been a good temporary acquisition to our squad. I flagged up Terry most of last season, warming the chelsea bench, but the moan and groaners didn't want to know. Fulham have always had a pass on player relationship with chelsea anyway,so why not terry?. It would have been perfect for him to stay in london, and we really need to tweek our defence, and get tighter at the back. We can score goals all day long, and i like the fact that our goals are not reliant on a central striker. (Good riddance Martin) Fulham will need to improve the stats in our leaky defence, and i think those stats will be crucial maybe come the end of season. There are more than a few good teams in the championship now and come the end of season, it could go down on goal difference. If John Terry is still looking for a club? maybe we should flag him up, i am not bothered about his personal life, move on peoples....

Redknapp has said it a million times in the press, radio interviews and TV interviews. His scouting team identified the players and the Chairman did the rest. On some occasions Manderic even brought in players Redknapp didn't even know were coming to the club.

Nothing clever about knowing that, I just keep up with news on everything football where I can.....

I'll second all of that. Wait for all the weasel words now. We must learn lessons from this blah, blah. You clad the building in f****ing plastic, you morons. Same thing exactly happened to a hotel in Dubai last year. Maybe lessons, supposedly learnt from disasters in other countries don't effect us. Whenever things go tits up its nearly always as a result of someone not doing their job properly, be it child abuse, terrorists or doggy planning regs. And practices. Want to throw a few of them in gaol, might focus a few minds to their responsibilities.

Mortlake, I get your anger, but park it for now.. Nowadays anger seems to be the preemptive emotion. Let's just be desperately sad and supportive, just for now, please?

And quite rightly in my opinion Rm. Far too many of us don't get angry enough. These people are trusted with society's collective safety. All too often they fail us and should therefore feel the weight and power of our disgust. I'm afraid anger is an immediate emotional response to failure on their part. It in no way dilutes my sadness and sympathy for those affected . Being awfully stiff upper lipped about it, "parking my anger", for what 24hours, 2 weeks, 2 months? Will the collective revulsion burst into life at the flick of a switch, when the more "liberal and level headed" members of society think the time is right? I think not! Unless there is a total ground swell of anger and sense of injustice, it ain't going to happen. Just ask the Hillsborough families. You, by all means, be the voice of reason, leave me to react the way I see fit.

Gentlemen, you're both right. Let's see how it plays out; these are very early hours and the tragedy is still developing and will for days yet.

Is Stockdale was any good he would have stay at Brighton and played in the Premier league and not taken a backwards step to Birmingham

He is actually an extremely average keeper and I'm glad we didn't try and get him.

Has anyone here outside the UK tried to register for EFL iFollow? I tried to register my interest today but Fulham aren't listed as a team involved. Anyone throe any light on it? Ta
I dont think its a problem with being overseas.i have previously paid for p2p but the moment we left the premier league only the games with pay tv can be accessed.on average you cant link on to more than 3 championship matches per weekend. In our 1st year in championship they allowed a no commentary conexion at the begining.this is the one only camara used for highlights. Someone soon after pulled the plug out.

G'day Hints. Here in the US the BEin channel has sole rights to Championship games and show three each weekend. I watched both playoff games using FuBoTV for the stream (a tip from MST), one was basically unwatchable because of pixellation and the other had the audio in Spanish. There was no pre-match build up. half time analysis or post-match report, just the game commentary. Looks like the EFL may have sold offshore rights in a restrictive manner. Irrespective, I can't see me paying to struggle with three random games per weekend. I'll let you do the math on the odds of one being a Fulham game. How's Sydney FC doing (or need I ask)?
posted by The Arizonan - Wednesday 14th June 2017, 3:30 PM
It's a different thing altogether, see the link below, you get to watch all your team's games live online EXCEPT those shown by the local contractors ie. Beinsports. Strangely, when I tried to register Fulham didn't appear in the drop down box although Huddersfield do! Perhaps it was prepared before the playoffs and the expecation at EFL Headquarters was that we would be promoted. They are probably all on holiday now so I will try again closer to the start of the season. BTW I see the EPL fixtures are out, when do ours come out? Here's the link: https://www.efl.com/news/2017/may/ifollow-live-streaming-platform-unveiled-for-global-efl-fans/

@The Arizonian.. Sydney FC finished top of the A-League by a country mile before just scraping the Grand Final on Pens against Melbourne Victory. I still cannot get my head around a competition where the team that finishes top by 17 points can lose the title in playoffs.. just weird. :)

Better off watching Rules mate. As for watching Championship games we're stuffed here in the States and probably most of the rest of the world. Could try a VPN but who would be the to-air provider?
posted by The Arizonan - Thursday 15th June 2017, 4:13 PM
Hints. On re-reading the iFollow blurb it appears that clubs have to opt in, which FFC have not done, or can carry the feed on their own web site (and thus charge more for it). Have a guess which way this is going to pan out...
posted by The Arizonan - Thursday 15th June 2017, 4:23 PM
@The Arizonian. Hmm I had assumed it would be all clubs but of course not FFC.. On that basis if I am able to subscribe to an FFC service for live coverage is it likely I will only be able to see home games if the opposition have signed with EFL?
posted by Hints (Guest) - Thursday 15th June 2017, 11:45 PM
Good question. Let me try and fathom it. Keep an eye on this thread. Jim
posted by The Arizonan - Friday 16th June 2017, 8:09 AM
Hints. Te EFL say you can watch up to 46 club games, which is the whole season, so home and away games are part of the subscription. In order to offer iFollow clubs have to have implemented a new web site to a standard template. Certain clubs, including FFC, have elected not to do so but can, if they so desire, provide the coverage themselves. The coverage would be the same except from its point of origin and, presumably, the cost. FFC may join the scheme, may implement the feed in the existing setup (cluttered and archaic) or decline to take part. The relevant blurb from the EFL web site follows: Only clubs who have opted in to utilise the iFollow platform will be able to offer subscriptions to iFollow. These clubs are known as EFL Digital clubs and have launched new websites which include the iFollow platform. iFollow is only available to clubs playing in the EFL during the 2017/18 season and who have opted in to utilise the iFollow platform. Any club which is not listed above will still be able to live stream their games, but will provide their fans with access through their own club digital services should they wish to. We are therefore unable to provide subscriptions to fans of Accrington Stanley, Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Bristol City, Charlton Athletic, Derby County, Forest Green, Fulham, Hull City, Leeds United, Middlesbrough, QPR, Sunderland and Wolverhampton Wanderers. I would expect FFC to make an announcement soon but as you say this is Fulham we're talking about.

Dan, I think Mexican waves are ridiculous too and I always stay seated when they come around.

My post was aimed at how stupid Theresa May looked when she rose and sat 10 seconds after the wave had already passed her.

It made me giggle but I guess I will keep to myself next time as clearly I am a lot younger at heart than many on this board ;-)).

Slavisa Jokanovic really means business, and business in the sense of the word means no sale on Cairney to newcastle! I love Slavisa's stance on this latest news, he goes on to say that Cairney is not for newcastle, he stays at fulham, and that is it!!! Things are dandy down here at SW6 and fulham waving away 20 million pounds, is a massive statement of intent, and it shows that we are determined to hold on to our key players. I don't think the board will want to upset Slavisa by selling Cairney for 20 million... SLAVISA' WELL DONE FOR NOT SELLING OUT! YOU ARE A LEGEND!!!!!
We are in for a very exciting season. I expect a great start, as it's a pretty fair guess that, if we aren't looking like being promotion contenders , our best players will want out in January. We can afford to stave off offers until then....COYW
