More Mitro to Brentford...

Getting on and cost a fortune. That won’t stop the Fulham bean counters going all in to get him though. He’ll do his usual and bang a few before Christmas then goals will be as rare as a pig breeders convention in Tel Aviv. He’ll get restless and this ‘people’ will threaten all sorts, eventually leading to a move to the USA.

Another great piece of action in this transfer window, can’t believe we didn’t match Everton’s package. So now looking for a right back, perhaps we will make a late bid for Kyle Walker he could be old enough, probably means another season without another goal scorer. Hopefully buying back the Munich failure might not happen now. If we believe all we read we have identified areas and targets and things will be alright.

Absolute rubbish, happening too often losing quality, good prospects going to other clubs. Everyone moaned when Tete was injured and unable to play, now has gone to a rival who we should be easily able to compete with. Sorry but we are gonna always be a mid table side, no ambition or desire to improve. Too many sides in or around us looking to improve and hold onto there better players. Can’t believe we are crying out for Mitrovic and Paulinho back. Need to progress and move on.

Tete did not have a regular place at Fulham and he probably thinks he will at Everton. We also we might want to lower the average age of the squad and he makes more mistakes than is acceptable.

According to the Daily Mail we are 500/1 on to win the Premiership and 6/1 for relegation, which is a worry! My concern is not around strikers because they will be available ten to the dozen and we will get another one after the departure of Vinicius. You and i know it is a lottery to even pick one that can deliver and score goals on clockwork and what are the odds if a club like ours can pick the one left on the shelf that will surprise everybody and shake up the prem by scoring 20-25 goals for Fulham. It is sad to see Willian depart but to be brutally honest, Willian and come back was a damp squib the last time of asking for one reason only and that was scoring goals, Willian never hit one on target. It looked like all the magic had gone no matter how hard he tried. The familiar cut-in from the left and a shift to his right foot delivered nothing and we were left wondering what the fuss was about but we didn't want to say anything because it was Willian. If that 6-1 for relegation is a true reflection on what is to come this season i am feeling that we need a winger as good as Willian was the first time he came to Fulham and that is no understatement. Take our two strikers Jimenez and Muniz out the equation for a minute and we will be relying on the likes of Wilson to score goals on impact straight off the bench and to be honest, can we trust that Harry Wilson can deliver those vital goals again in our hour of need? I am not doubting Wilson's ability in any way, but we need goals and more of them on a regular basis. The odds are not in our favour in finding another Willian that can produce magic like a prancing Gazell but we might just have somebody under the radar waiting and chomping at the bit and ready to burst out in bloom and make our summer and new season flow and grow like the summer of 76 again. Smith Rowe had a slow and steady start to life at Fulham and yes 6 goals and three assists in 34 appearances don't raise an eyebrow, but it was okay considering his injury problems going back to Arsenal. Let's just say last season with 6 goals and 34 starts was a good sign of things to come and Smith Rowe can and will show everyone that he is the real deal. The same can be said for Muniz who we expect will get another season because he is Marco's pet project. Muniz has all the tools and ability to bring on more Brazilian magic and he knows that goals galore is what is required and the 33 million price tag, toting about can instil more confidence and produce more goals for Fulham. We like nice goals that paint a pretty picture but we also want goals that are ugly, tap-ins, headers, and goal hangers Gary Lineker style. That 6-1 relegation price is now melting away in this hot summer sunshine and i am now feeling optimistic and excited to see our new recruitment players that will help us brake into the top 8 and make our season even better than last year...

There may be 100s of strikers available but do any of them score goals. Over the years we have many strikers who do not score goals, lets not sign anymore.

Owen, if we are 500 to 1 on to win the Premier that makes us the hottest favourites since its inception. Being 6 to 1 against for relegation is meaningless without knowing the odds for other teams. Please supply additional information. You will be happy to know that I will not be rushing tho bookies to place £500 to win a paltry £1 for us winning the title.

We’re usually 500-1 to win the league and I normally have a greyhound on it. Is as likely as Trump converting to Slam a lama ding dong but keeps me interested usually until about the third week in August when reality hits. My expert advice would be to steer clear of anything involving Fulham and bookmakers although it’s advice I don’t personally heed.

With the transfer window just opened and multiple transfers already taking place ,most clubs are going to take a few games adapting to whatever new look starting XI they field, let alone Brentford who have lost their manager and probably half of their squad at the current rate of demand. For us ,it will be the usual link to 20 potential signings which never take place and 3-4 interesting signings a week before the season commences which will not gel until the end of the first stoppage for boring internationals when god knows how the team will have faired and regrets will appear for such late signings. Maybe this season Silva can be brave and for once FFC could be the PL youngsters revolution. Bye to Benda,Reed;TC ,Andreas. Vinicius and willian and hello on a regular basis to King , de Fougerolles, and Nwoko. At least we would be guaranteed these three will give their all and should things not work out come christmas, the Khans can spend all the money they would have saved this summer.

Marco understands, you win nothing with youngsters. It they are good enough they don't stay and if they aren't bye bye.

What constitutes scouting/,/? looking in obscure places for talent no one else has looked at?? reading about a talent thats been seen already and then you sod of to check it out,? wandering round europe hoping you get lucky and pick up some one no one else has noticed?.looking at what we ended up with dont look to difficult to locate in fact all on our doorstep, ROWE, BERG ISSIOP, BASSEY CASTAGNE,AND RAUL , could have been found sitting in an arm chair, so to me scouting is sitting in chile watching a local game and thinking ,that guy is tasty , want to come to fulham? and bingo cheap but maybe a diamond . just a thought.

Fulham are exploring a potential return for midfielder Joao Palhinha, who has failed to make much of an impact in his first season at Bayern Munich. Fulham sold the 29-year-old to the German giants for £48million a year ago but his game time has been limited under Vincent Kompany. A return is all about the money and i can't see Bayern dropping their price for less than 40 million because they want their money back. Say ing that, Palinha is 29 now and i think the 40 odd mill price is way over the top now so we have to wait and see if he comes with a big price drop.

Germany certainly isn’t the same as the old days. Can’t blame him for not being able to settle. We’d need suitable reparations to take him back though.

Bad move need younger players, great his first season with us. Didn’t play holding role so well second. Wouldn’t swap him for Lukic or Berge has had injury problems to. If Silva wants him 10m tops . Sure he was 29 when we sold him must be 30 now? We did well to get that price for him don't give it back

There's no way Fulham would be prepare to pay more than £20m for him. Bayern would struggle to balance the book (write-off 30m) if they sell him at such a big loss in 12months. So the likely hood is we can loan him back with an option to buy at later date. For me, that would be the best outcome. I trust Marco to make the right decision. He's aware he needs to drop the average age of the team.

£36million for Muniz from Leeds, get the deal done quickly before they realise they are being robbed.
Replies
Muniz has a marmite type of relationship with most of our fans, including myself. He was so bad when we loaned him out to Boro' that we didn't want him back and at the time, I would have driven him to the station. However, give the lad his due, and Marco and the coaching team for persisting with him, that he eventually turned out to be a pretty decent striker, and his scoring instincts gave us late wins against Newcastle and Chelsea, but at present, I would still describe him, as a decent striker, but he is open to improvement over the next couple of seasons, if he stays. The Finance Director says that we should snap their hands off, if we are offered £36k by Leeds. Providing we could get a striker like Solanki or someone of that standing, we might have a good deal, but my memory stretches back to a certain Alan Clark, that we sold to Leeds, many season's ago, and what a mistake that was, and we would have egg on our face if the same thing happened again. My marmite opinion now, is that we should keep him, with a new contract.

Two seasons ago I said Muniz had excellent potential and it would be a mistake to let him go as he would be worth £50 mln in two years time. At the time, most fans were crying out for him to be sold and last season he showed a vast improvement and is learning to bully defenders. I believe it would be stupid to sell Muniz to anyone at present as he will be our main striker next season. We must not sell our best players but invest in four proven players from abroad or in the lower divisions.

We didn’t sale AlAn Clarke to Leeds , we sold him to Leicester when we were Relegated. The next Season Leicester got to FACup Final but we’re also relegated and sold Clarke to Leeds

DMK, thanks for the correction, and I should have been more sure of my facts, about Alan Clark, before going into print, but I thought that I was right at the time. The other big striker that we sold on out of the blue, was Arthur Rowley. DMK, please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we sell him to Leicester, who I think then sold him on to Shrewsbury. My memory obviously isn't as good as I thought that it was.

Muniz also on the list for Newcastle by the way. The way how i see it, Muniz is capable of scoring picture-esque goals which look eye-catching and that is why a few clubs are looking at him. Yes he is still a raw talent and still learning. Maybe clubs like Leeds and Newcastle who we played against and beaten twice think they can get something more from Muniz that we didn't do. Marco Silva will weigh up the pro's and con's about Muniz. I suspect that Marco will try everything to keep Muniz because he feels he has natured him and there is more improvement to come. They say patience is a virtue and Marco Silva is a patient man. If here next season Muniz will have to hit the ground running and score more goals. Most Fulham fans have some patience but that will only stretch so far...

The opening games for next season look quite challenging, therefore I do hope that the club does not leave the recuruitment of younger, hopefully more tallented player arriving for our sqaud to the last few days as previously as this leaves Marco Sliva with a hell of a lot to do to get a team to gel in a few days. I'd sign Arron Ramsdale as back up for Leno in goal and Kyle Walker Peters both from Ipswich.Oliver Sckipp from Leicester or Tommy Doyle from Wolves in Midfield and Wolves Jorgen Strand Larsen (an idetikit Alekander Mitrovic (at 6" 7"), Jarred Bowden from West Ham (his goals kept W Ham alive last season), Ben Chillwell who played at Palace last season, but is a Chelsea player and lastly Evan Ferguson from Brighton who is only 20 years old but a half decent striker given the service.

Really hope FFC can resign Tete, we will not get a better defensive full back to deal with wide players, unless we spend an awful lot of money. Tete along with Castagne is not an area we need to spend big money on. Especially if he leaves on a free. Sticking point seems to be contract length. No brainer for another team in the top division to offer him that.

With many of our rivals, setting up deals, right, left and centre, where are we in the new signings stakes. Nowhere as usual. Why should be signing new squad members be so difficult, as to be ready for our pre-season matches is so important, which surely isn't asking too much, but it is sitting on our hands time once again. What we will be left with, will be players that nobody else wants, and it will take an age for Marco to train them up to our Premier League standard. I sometimes wish I could support another team, but I just can't.
Replies
We sign the players we need who are available, because we are in competition with many teams who have more to offer than us. If we did not have such a bad end to the season we would have more money to spend and better status to get the players we need. In reality we are in competition for every player with a lot of teams hear and in Europe. This is not a quick business, as probably for every 10 players we seek we only get one. This certainly seems as successful policy as we do not get many failures. Be patient.

First I watched Harvey Elliott and Jay Stansfield playing for the English Under 21 side and began to wonder quite why FFC has an academy, if we are going to sell all the best products of our academy. Now I see Cameron Burgess has also been sold. We have the oldest side in the league, the smallest squad and this surely told towards the end of last season when we really faded in sunlight! I know that there is stupid money being paid for players these days, but there are some really good players in the EFL and some of the local sides like Aldershot FC who got to the FA Trophy Cup Final and won it!
Replies
None of the Academy players, apart for the one we have resigned, are regular PL League players so our sale of such players is very good business. Chelsea get the best young players because they pay more and are a bigger club.

If we keep producing academy players who are nearly good enough to be Premier League player and sell to some stupid Club who gets lumbered, this must be considered a profitable service unless it is just done so we can help in the selection and training of young players in the area. This is a noble aim but if we do not produce players good enough to be regulars in our or others tram is it a justified cost?

Now this Labour government are going to treat the British state pension as a "Benefit", I am not sure many who worked 46 years like me and paid my NI tax for a pension will see it like this. The British state pension is the lowest paid in Western Europe, as is evidenced by the need for Pension Credits, these would not be needed if Britain paid as decent living pension. This on the suggestion that Labour is now going to tax anyone who has inherited any money from the deceased if when they died they owed money to HMRC is scandalous (Angie Reynond, her of two council houses, of course) as there is not way that the beneficaries will have any way of discupting these claims!

They can march to the top of the hill and back down again, not bothered. Just strange that when Trump arranged a parade to commemorate 250 years of American armed forces its vanity and when anybody else does it, UK, France, North Korea etc it’s fine. You could argue though that if the king requires a parade to celebrate his birthday then he could offer to cover the costs from the £100 million he receives annually in ground rent from off shore wind farms, anything left over could pay for the rape gang enquiry. After all, we’re all in it together, diversity is our strength etc. Personally, I’d not be that intimidated by a pub full of squaddies, been there, done that. You seem to forget that Britain surrendered to the IRA long ago and haven’t actually won a war on their own for a few hundred years. He has divided his country, prolonged the Ukraine war, he still thinks he can do a deal. The middle east is on fire but he can fix that also. etc etc. We can see why America was the police man of the world and boy' do we need somebody from the US who is more tactile with a cool head and sensible right now. I wish Thomas all the best in his new role But sadly mate there is a very strong chance that Levy will make it impossible for you. Your strength has been plucking players from relative obscurity and turning them into champions. Levy will give you funding to spend big on already established players and demand instant success. I suspect that is not your style. Woy went to Liverpool under similar circumstances. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who predicted his early demise. But nevertheless Thomas, you are a quality manager like the many before you at Spurs who got the flick. There is hope for you afterwards though. You've only got to look at Woys next job after Liverpool to see that. Lucky for us that Marco didn't get his head turned. Top 4 for Fulham next season.

I accept the “Closed season” can be boring and restricts what we can talk about. However, I looked at our site this morning and discovered a multitude of postings regarding Brentford and Chelsea which I find annoying when this is our Fulham board. Personally, I am not interested in either of these teams and surprisingly, so many posters, mostly Fulham supporters, indulging in topics which have nothing to do with our club. We are all anxiously awaiting news of potential arrivals at the club once the closed period ends. Our Home page keeps telling us of our interest in different players but, as we all know it is extremely unlikely any of them will come to fruition. I believe most of us would we welcome at least one new signing once the closed season ends. It is so frustrating when our rivals are all signing new plays whilst we appear to wait to the last possible minute. Having consolidated our position in the Premier we need to improve and aim for a top eight position which will probably require sixty points which is certainly achievable if we stop throwing games away. I wish all our poster a wonderful Summer, enjoy and take care.

As Thomas Frank has now been confirmed as Spurs new manager, can we now move on from the speculation that Marco was with a chance of being appointed to this fated job under Levey. Good luck to him, he will need it. I know that it almost impossible to predict football results, but it's not looking good for both Sunderland and Brentford in the relegation stakes already ! !

Agreed that Marco will now be left alone to focus on Fulham. However, Marco will be slightly cheesed off that he wasn't the first choice. This plus the rejection by Juventus. He will jump at the next remote possibility of getting a job that is even bigger than Spurs. Normal human competitive behaviour - so expect this be the last season for March at Fulham, assuming there isn't another big job coming up for him.

Mbeumo will probably be sold, that’s planned as he’s now at peak price. The rest of the crap with players wanting to leave is all clickbait crap. We will get £60 million for Mbeumo to add to the £200 million the club already have in the bank. He will be replaced without doubt. We’ve signed exciting talent this first window and looks like two very good midfielders coming in after the 10th. We are far from finished and looking forward to the next coach who our DOF said will continue on TFs work and take the club to the next level. Keep enjoying your fantasy. Looking forward to playing you guys next season a great Derby game and top banter with my Fulham buddies.

Looks like another grim window and smaller squad than last year. Only news is about who is leaving or who is wanted by other clubs. Always hope there is action behind the scenes and away from the media. Live in hope…..perhaps Willian will be a hero again at end of window. Not sure what you’re meaning about. The “mini” window, which closed at 7pm yesterday was meant for clubs in the world club championship. Why not wait until the window opens proper in July and see what business we do before you start with the usual rhetoric!! Last three seasons or so, we have done great business and we have produced some great results with a record points total last season so not sure what there is to be unhappy about!

Not really a moan, just an observation. Agree window open early to help with club World Cup and assist the constant rule breakers ( man city, Chelsea, Liverpool). I really hope we get the people we want/ need before season starts and we don’t get caught dragging our heels. Have had some good buys in previous windows, but also some not so good, Vinicious being one. Hopefully a striker will be top priority, along with a competent back up keeper and a proactive attacking midfielder. Really hope that Tete extends contract, otherwise a new right back will be needed.

What are your thoughts on the club World Cup? As I understand it, it is FIFA’s way of not losing out to EUFA champions league. So they created a 4 week competition in the summer and put in a billion pounds as prize money to attract the teams. Who is going to watch Real Madrid playing some unknown club teams in Asia or Africa. Some of these big teams will regret participating as they are not resting their players while teams like Liverpool and Barcelona giving their players 4weeks extra rest in a 6 weeks holiday window for the players.

Most clubs will have arranged their friendly programme by now and the players will be disappointed if some nice venue with their families is replaced by a competition in some remote part of the World. The counter to that is the summer is deadly dull without a football competition. Just sitting around doing nothing until the middle of August.

So now it really is odds on, that Thomas Frank will, if he hasn't already been appointed as Spurs next manager, and it is reported that he will be taking 7 of his staff with him, although I haven't seen any reports, that this will include players. At this stage, I am actually feeling quite sorry for the bees supporters, even those that come on here with their mickey taking, as to lose both your manager and some top players after finishing in the top half of the table, must be quite devastating. I know how I would feel if Marco left, and then took some of our players with him. It's the small club against the big club menace again, and until, we really establish ourselves in the Premier League, we along with Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth, and Palace, are still painted as small clubs, whereas, Spurs, as poor as they are, are considered a big club, like Manure United. it's all so unfair.
Replies
If our form didn't collapse in the last few games, and Brentford peaked, the new Spurs manager would have been Marco and not Thomas!! That's how fickle the manager selection is. Somehow club owners have a very short sighted when selecting managers. And the problem with Spurs is the timing! If Mourinho cannot sort out the club culture, do you think Thomas can?! Brentford will be alright - they have Fabio who will come good and be their new hero!

Labour are stupid to create a mountain out of a molehill on the winter fuel. It's relatively small amount of money and frankly makes little difference to the state and majority of the pensioners. They could have cut it by stealth if they really don't want to pay this but instead they wanted all the attention making this cut on day 1 of their administration. Secondly, I thought the winter fuel was once only paid when the average temperature in the winter fall below certain temperature? when did this become a universal payment. Anyway - The point is the fact Labour making a mess of this simple thing, is clear evident they are not very smart people!

Not very smart people, that is surely the understatement of the year. Starmer and his bunch of clowns, including head clown Reeves from accounts, are quite the worst government in my lifetime, and that's a very longtime believe me. By the time, we come to the end of their tenure in government in about 4 years, this country will be completely ruined, that even REFORM, might find it beyond them to fix.

Bodger Boris is a lot more intelligent along with Jeremy Hunt all day long and a combination of those two would do better than Reeves and Starmer. Even Sunak as Chancellor would be a better bet. Yes these guys mess up but i never doubt that a top class educated Tory is a better bet to run the country by a country mile. I didn't go to Eton or Oxford but i have no doubt that a higher education is better than a state school education full stop. Raynor has a phobia and a dislike for higher education and richer people and this is a growing trend now in this country. Starmer is a chameleon who will change his mind and tactics where the wind blows and he isn't leader material. The problem we have in this country for a long time now is infrastructure everywhere is crumbling and needs repairs. You name it from the London underground sewers built in the Victorian era which is a huge repair job. No Government will take that on because it will blow the budget and thats the problem. Every party will prioritise projects and the NHS and the usual projects will always come first. The Nuclear project Labour are taking on will not come to fruition for a decade and they will not be in power to see it. Our water system is bad but so is the water in France. Buildings are crumbling in disrepair everywhere and you can buy an old Chateau in France for pennies if you are brave enough to take one on. In Covid we saw the best and worst of human nature and the good was that Bodger and co doled out the most money to bail everyone out in history and Putin decided to try to replicate Alexander the Great starting with the Ukraine and we decided to chip in as you do. Hitler invaded Poland many years ago and Putin is trying the same thing so it is only natural to help out. What would i do smarter? What would you do better than Boris in very unusal and exception circumstances in this period of history?

Spot on OWEN. Now more than ever, we need intelligent and well educated leaders. The world has become so much more complex with technology moving at lightning speed and the working of an economy and the banking system, you will make a mess if you don’t have the intellect to understanding it. I am not suggesting those who went to Oxbridge are necessarily any more intelligent but they have learned how to cope with chaos and how to manage communication better. Look at Trump. He’s smart but he hasn’t got a clue of economics and see what he is doing to the world and also USA economy. In principle I don’t have a problem with Robinhood policies but there’s a balance that you’d need a very good intellect to identify. Sadly we have two leaders neither have the intellect or the smartness to run the country. I like Starmer as a person but I am sure his heart is in the right place but he nor his team are good enough. We had the same issue with Boris, which was a result of Brexit halving the pool of talents for him. The sad truth is like USA, we have Raynor and Vance (US) ready to take over. That would be 100% worse in my view.

Appears another Matt O’Reilly situation. Callum Osmand was offered a new contract but with Marco’s reluctance to give youth a chance you can’t blame him with first team football on offer. Celtic are closing in on a deal to sign promising Fulham striker Callum Osmand as Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season, Celtsarehere understands. The 19-year-old Jersey born striker has been on the radar of the Parkhead scouting team for over a year, with the youngster catching the eye during multiple scouting missions. Celtsarehere understands a medical was scheduled for Osmand last week, signalling significant progress towards completing the move. Osmand enjoyed a strong campaign with Fulham’s Premier League 2 side last season, netting 10 goals and providing four assists across 17 appearances. He also featured in the EFL Trophy, scoring once in three outings, including a goal against Shrewsbury. With his contract at Craven Cottage set to expire, Celtic would only need to pay a training compensation fee for the striker, making the move a low-risk investment in a player with clear potential. Osmand has is now poised to compete for a spot in the senior Celtic side. Our sources indicate Osmand is being lined up as a first-team signing, Brendan Rodgers is believed to be a firm admirer of the player’s attributes and sees him as someone who can immediately compete for minutes. His arrival would add more depth to the forward line. Adam Idah is Celtic’s only recognised first-team out-and-out striker. Daizen Maeda played as a striker with some distinction during periods of last season, but the Celtic manager does prefer him on the wing. A potential loan exit could be back on the cards for Johnny Kenny, with Osmand’s addition likely to push him further down the pecking order. Celtic’s recruitment team have been active early in the window and Osmand represents a move in line with Rodgers’ desire to bring in young talent with room to grow. The striker will be keen to make his mark if the deal is finalised, and it’s a clear signal of Celtic planning ahead.

I went to the Oratory in 1947, when Dr. Summerbell was a headmaster and believe me he would scare anyone misbehaving. Unfortunately, I failed to live up to expectations as every master went out of their way to ensure I paid regular visits to headmaster’s study. However, after the minimum sentence was served I managed to escape. Five years later, I had the greatest of pleasure returning to inform my old form master that his assessment that I would never make a success of life was perfectly correct. Our P.E. master was Jackie O’Neil who played for Brentford in his prime. I subsequently returned to the fold and was on the Old Boy’s Association and used to write a regular news sheet for many years. In addition, I played for the football team from 1957-68 and then took up refereeing. I don’t suppose anyone out there played in the team during my time but if you did please let me know. When ,the school moved to West Brompton I never had the inclination to return as it became removed from my era.

Exactly my thinking John C. Would rather retain Marco but if he does go, then Ange will be a very welcomed replacement. Some may say I'm biased but it's more than that. Our board would give him the freedom he needs unlike the interfering levy. Having said that,Marco is smart enough not to be the next Spurs managerial victim,as whoever takes over from Ange at Spurs surely6 would be.

All i know in my heart is if we had gotten pass Crystal Palace and beaten Man City our fans 100% would have been forever satisfied and grateful to Marco for presenting a trophy after so many years in our history and i am sure our people higher up would be over the moon too. The problem with Spurs is their 'we are better than that syndrome, which is an ongoing epidemic with the usual suspect clubs like Newcastle, etc. Eddie Howe will be gone soon in the quest for more titles and he knows that...

Not everyone who has an opinion on this subject is a reform voter, i would like to address that first! We love you lots Paddy but sometimes a comment can take a perfectly legit and needed post dragged in an unnecessary direction. We are nice people on here and no need i think to bring words like animals into the subject. That said i do agree that the boat immigrant situation needs sorting out. The rules are if a country needs you, they will call you and those guys especially a load of young men paying money to come over are floating the rules. France doesn't help in any way by standing by waiting and watching a load of people cramming into unsafe boats and coming across to England as they like. 400 Hundred million was given to the French to stop this happening and yes i will brake protocol and say the French are taking the pi.s! The French say that the migrants don't want to stop in France, they want to come to England which is a lame excuse. Firstly they landed in France and they should do more to stop them at their end full stop! That war-time excuse for emptying out of these countries they are coming from is just an excuse and little England cannot accommodate half the world full stop! If Angela Raynor gets her way, she will rip up half of Englands greenbelt to build more houses which will require more infrastructure, towns ,shops, schools ,doctors which we can't afford to do and it will prove impossible, futile and pointless. If mad Putin brings the nuclear out and half the population is fried mince-meat, there might be a case for recruitment from other countries maybe like the windrush back in the fifties. The windrush people came to England knowing the situations vacant jobs were cleaners hospital workers doing hard night shifts ect and by ek'they took those jobs. We now have a situation where there are jobs galore vacant and not enough takers which say's a lot. They have this data from 2 decades coming forward now and what is the point of more migrants than a country needs? If a country needs migrants, they will call migrants and that is the hard rules we should stick with. Austraila was labled as racist for having these rules but now everyone can see the sense in their hard rules. Austrailia has never had a recession and the reason is they recruit in all areas of job skills they need and that includes hairdressers to do the posh old biddies blue rince ect. Farage has tapped into the migrant problem and he will win a lot of votes but to run a country that needs potholeing and multiple of other problems will take a good team and a lot of experience and Reform do not have those skill sets. The best race horse wins the Derby and no doubt paddy will tell us if he backed the best? The best form for government in this country are the Conservatives by a country mile and they have proven it for a hundred years now. I should say the Conservatives without Badenoch as leader because they will lose the nexy election with that one for sure. Bring back the King' Boris' and he is my idea of a winner and he will win back voters and an election. Forget the crap about 14 years this and that. No party had Covid and the Ukraine war to deal with. Boris and co gave out too much money which they had to give out so the maths Racheal from accounts is still crying about wiil not work out obviously. Jeremy Hunt has more brains than we gave him credit for and if he had another two years as chancellor some of this mess Labour got their sticky hands on would have been sorted. Anyone who says the Conservatives are a racist bunch should take a hard look at facts and the facts are the Conservatives have allowed more migrants into this country more than most. But now calls for a time of capping and a more hardent approach like the Rwanda plan which would have worked saved the Euro bureaucracy which we don't need or want.

Fundamentally there's a conflict of interest in the French government stopping the boat. If the French want to stop the boat, they can stop it by enforcing some licensing to sell dingy's above certain size. It is not like a pair of trainers - there can't be many sellers selling these dingys that can sit 20-30 people. Make the sellers accountable. A bit like selling a gun!

It doesn't look like we will realise much funds from outgoing transfers (maybe £15m for Parreira should he leaves), nor we are massively reducing our salaries from the exits. So I just wonder how much transfer budget that will be made available for Marco? We spent big last summer and probably all the money we had from Mitro and Palhinha. If we want to progress, I think we need another summer of big recruitment and also to bring the average age down in the squad. This means another £50-60m spend. We need to keep Tete. We need a couple of wingers and a striker as a minimum. If not, I am very concerned we will not improve and probably regress.
Replies
It always amazes me, that other clubs, especially the so called smaller clubs, are spending money like it's going out of fashion, but with us at Fulham it is all hesitation. Annoyingly clubs like Chelsea, Man City, and Notts Forest are spending money like water, but how can they getaway with it, as they are already threatened with points deductions, from last season. Answers on a postcard please.

If clubs won't pay our asking price for Andreas then we need to drop the asking price I think. He needs to go,hasn't scored a goal in ages and not so sure we should persist with him. Josh King needs to play more regularly . And some younger cheaper players could be plucked from somewhere Am I dreaming?

If Spurs willing to pay £50m for Muniz. Why not? Like Sess, we might get him back for free in 4 years time when he’d still be only 26 or 27. I’d take that to strengthen the squad.

Last summer the owner got a £100m loan to pay for transfers. Loans are not permanent so are not treated like a debt. He will probably do this again as most other Clubs in the PL do it and it gets around the FIFA rules perfectly legitimately.

Redundancies and outsourcing to save costs is required. The club should get rid of the stewards and get tenders in from outside companies. Redevelop Motspur Park like Norwich have done with their facilities to generate income. Pay the minimum wage where possible, they’re probably all on Universal Credit anyway so the taxpayers can cover any shortfall. If daddy Khan is reading, I’m available.
