If you are like me, I am sort of dreading Saturday in one way, then on the other hand we have got to face it, but already my nerves are beginning to get the better of me. Although I fully expect us to beat Aston Villa, I don't know how I will be able to take losing this match, as it will be the end of our team as we know it, and just who will be left with us next season for another go at winning the Championship ? We will have no Sessignon, Cairney, McDonald, Mitrovic, Targett, Johansen, and maybe others, plus the awful possibility that we lose Slavia as well. Yes a losing result does not bear thinking about. Is there anybody else feeling the same way.
Replies
My three tickets arrived in the post today so I have an excitement resurgence ;0).

Of course I am nervous that we might lose but have no such concerns as you over players who are under contract and have already pledged their allegiance to the club. Of course I am not naïve enough to think that no one will renege on their promise but I am certainly not going to worry about it unless it happens as it is all complete speculation.

Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Brighton and Wolves all made it up without parachute payments from the PL so there is no reason why Fulham can't do the same if we lose on Saturday.

Chill out and enjoy the experience - surprised you haven't mentioned claret and blue and losing 2-0 43 years ago ;0)))

I can't say I honestly looking forward to it but very nervous and excited. full of hope and don't want to hear about past results or our unbeaten runs. That wont matter. This will be a real tight game. Everyone will be on edge players , fans, managers. I would like to hide somewhere while the games on but I have tickets for the game as if we do win it I want to be able to say I was there. I just hope we get the right result but will defiantly not enjoy the game.

...,.or is anyone else sick to death of all the nonsense posts about how many tickets have been sold for Saturday’s game and how season ticket holders seem to be the lowest of the low?? I’ve been to 31 games this season and have had two season tickets for the last 25 years and many of those years with an away season ticket too. Prior to that a have attended most home and away games for the previous 20 years. I feel completely entitled to the three Wembley tickets I’ve purchased and don't feel in the slightest bit guilty about taking priority over those who happen to make three games per season and can’t get a ticket!!!! Rant over.

Don’t often agree with you MST but this time I do. We are 3 generations of supporters going to Wembley and proud that we’ve continued the tradition from my dad to my 7yr old grandson. We only bought the tickets we needed.

In addition how many new names are we seeing on this board now who never contributed until they wanted tickets for Wembley. Of course all are welcome but contribute for the rest of the season not just to moan about season ticket holders who have been given priority over ticket purchases which, by the way, has been the case since time in memorial.

Don’t often post on forums but it seems like people are more concerned about ticket sales than the match, I was at a barbecue Saturday and listened to a guy moaning about the ticket sales, when I asked him who he would start as centre half he replied “ don’t know, I haven’t been to a game since Hamburg”. I said “maybe we should play Freddie Callaghan” he said maybe. Typical idiot, but funny.

One can only hope the all the STH now trying to offload their spare tickets get stuck with them. They should have simply purchased the actual number of tickets they required. Us members and booking history had to make do with the crap seats left.

If you have a problem with the allocation YOU SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A SEASON TICKET!!!! Sick to death of the moaning. Us season ticket holders have supported FFC throughout this and countless other seasons with hard cash why shouldnt we tale prioroty?

Season ticket holders should get priority but members should also get good ticket options. 5 per person was a little unecessary and consigned many to the roof.

In truth there is a bit of a difference between forking out on average £500 and pitching up every home game to support the team than paying 20 quid and watching the results. Support the team weekinand week out, not just when they go to Wembley. Nobody owes you anything. Pay up or shut up,for fu*k sake.

Think you've missed the point ROWLYFFC but posting your comments above as you did you became part of it unfortunately.

We are commenting on those who come on this board moaning about season ticket holders being given priority when they a) don't go to games but expect to be given the same or more priority as season ticket holders and b) are coming on this board for the first time to make their complaint.

Those that have a problem should contact the club, not come on an unofficial website forum in order to denigrate season ticket holders who have, quite rightly, purchasing priority over those who don't go to games (for whatever reason). After all we did not set the five tickets per person rule, the club did. All we have done is take advantage of our entitlement which, in my opinion is fair enough.

When football fans find the royal wedding more interesting than the FA cup final something is seriously wrong with some of the teams! Never seen two big teams with so much negativity! Wembley deserve much more exciting football than that - and they will get that next weekend! Just hope Villa don’t do a Chelsea! Wembley - show time!

I am quite sure there isn’t one TRUE football fan that found the royal wedding more interesting than the Cup Final no matter how dire it turned out to be. Admitted the game was deadly dull as was fully expected but surely not a patch on the sheer boredom of the event taking place a few miles away in Windsor. The FA Cup is now damaged goods and we are probably receiving the finals we deserve.

The other although I elected to avoid it seems to be have gone on forever and is still dragging on. Roll on Saturday for the main event.

Story in the times today about the knobs running the game. Platini saying about the hay diddie diddies going on in the world cups .Especially in 1998. When picking the numbered balls to stop FRANCE and BRAZIL playing each other to early their balls were put in the fridge to chill them so when the hands were put in the glass they we left there till they were needed to be pulled out. fifa THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS CATTLE TRUCKED. Away fans consistently buy tickets in the neutral zone. We allow them to. Of course that means they are likely a member or at least someone with booking history. Now Aston Villa fans can purchase tickets in our end. Do you think this we'll be a problem? Maybe but we’ll done ffc for getting approval for the new riverside stand.
Replies
How does that work then? Doesn’t make sense. Are there non Fulham supporters who watch all our home games from the Neutral Zone? Regular non season ticket holding Fulham members are apparently not getting tickets, so how can these people you refer to get tickets? Are you Russian, mischievously spreading False News?

There were enough fulham fans at the derby game, dont think it is as easy to get tickets with a booking history, you will still have to provide your details with club registration number. Anyway if you do happen to be sitting with villa fans, report them and they will be moved.

Everything seems to have gone quiet on this site. Season Ticket holders days were weds & thurs and today appeared blank, but phoned ticketmaster and appears today its still working for STH. Hope there will be tickets tomorrow for members and for those with loyalty points who really deserve a seat . Any one got news on current availability ?
Replies
I am a season ticket holder so I am happy I have my tickets but I feel bad for the members who many are even more entitled to be there as the friends of the season ticket holders who only want to be for a it of fun and glory! I would be a hypocrite if I criticise those who bought tickets for friends! But for some reason Fulham can’t get this allocation right! I am still mad at Fulham for allowing season ticket holders buying 4 tickets for the Europa final meaning even as a season ticket holder then, I was denied a probably once in my lifetime to watch a fulham European final!! It would be so much fairer if they reduce the allocation to an extra or even 2 tickets. But it’s becoming a bit ole Wimbledon and Twickenham - it’s who you know and not your loyalty!

The Premier League have revealed the eye-watering prize money for the season which has just ended.

The two Manchester sides topped the charts with United earning slightly more than their title-winning neighbours (£149,767,145 vs £149,438,654) owing to them being shown on TV more.

Even bottom of the pile West Brom managed to secure an almighty payday, banking almost £95million ahead of their return to the Championship next season.

But the cash-rich top flight don't just hand out money to the 20 teams fortunate enough to be strutting their stuff in the league that year, as they also handed out parachute payments to recently relegated sides.

The logic behind this is to try and stem the financial bleeding that dropping out of the Premier League brings, with sides being handed payments for the three seasons following relegation. Relegated clubs will then therefore be able to continue to pay wages and crash and burn like a certain West Yorkshire side did when they dropped out of the big time 14 years ago.

A total of £243million has been allocated to a total of eight eligible clubs.

Clubs receive diminishing amounts each year for four years after relegation, so the amounts awarded is as follows:

Relegated between 2013-15

QPR - £16,595,917

Fulham - £16,595,917

Cardiff - £16,595,917

Relegated in 2015-16

Aston Villa - £34,012,650

Norwich City - £34,012,650

Relegated in 2016-17

Hull City - £41,571,016

Middlesbrough - £41,571,016

Sunderland - £41,571,016

Who will be receiving parachute payments next season?

Owing to clubs receiving payments for four seasons after relegation, the sides who dropped out of the Premier League in 2013-14 have now received their last payments.

Cardiff, Fulham and Norwich all went down that year, but with Cardiff winning promotion and Norwich have been back up and down since then, this will - as things stand - only affect Fulham.

But with the Cottagers in the play-off final, this will not impact them should they go up.

If they lose to Aston Villa in the final, then expect serious cost-cutting at Craven Cottage. If Villa do not go up, they will continue to receive a payment, as will the three relegated sides from this season.

West Brom will get parachute payments next season

Here is the list in full:
•Aston Villa (unless they win the play-off final)
•Norwich
•Hull City
•Middlesbrough
•Stoke City
•Swansea City
•West Brom

Replies
Eye-watering indeed and makes a mockery of Financial Fair Play, under whose arcane rules Khan cannot make up for the loss of parachute payments to any meaningful extent...

Yes thing's are tight out there all that dosh and you still shafted to sit in a seat at Wembley.. Now that £19 spent on monday night was well worth it Wembley or not it is a rip off . It's a good job we only play there every forty something year's it is a shame I know some friend's that would gladly pop along as although they don't go anymore and have drifted away from football Fulham is still their club.
posted by Hartopp (Guest) - Thursday 17th May 2018, 8:39 PM

I understand the losing team in the play-offs is entitled to all of the gate receipts (possibly less stadium expenses?) amounting to several million to soften the financial miss-out. Whether that would apply to Villa who are receiving parachute payments... who knows.

So Aston Villa " Star" Conor Hourithane thinks our crowds celebrations were over the top saying " We were celebrating as if we had won the league" Wrong,we were celebrating the fact (As were your fans when you overcame Middlesbrough) that we had got to Wembley and win or lose( though I have no doubts our next game will be in the Premiership) we are going to have a hell of a day!
Replies
To be fair to him, he was talking specifically about the players celebrations in the dressing room, of which there were videos online, not the fans. He said in the interview that Villa Fans also ran on the pitch and celebrated. Either way, he was implying villa players can use that as extra motivation and Fulham might ot be focussed enough which I agree is nonsense. I don't think either team will be short of motivation but hopefully the better team in Black and White will prevail.
posted by Jimmy Jazz (Guest) - Thursday 17th May 2018, 12:17 PM

The self important Hourihane is obviously using our understandable reaction to a semi final victory in a desperate attempt to give extra motivation to his team which is quite pathetic really. What is more annoying is the spin that the media have put on it. Anybody who knows our play off history will know that our celebrations were a sign of great relief for breaking our duck and also giving us our day at Wembley and a second chance of automatic promotion. The odious hacks at the press in conjunction with Hourihane are portraying us as a cocky bunch that believes it’s job done. I am sure nothing could be further from the truth but why let the facts spoil a good story. Nothing new here as we all know Villa are the team that the media would love to see back in the Premier League. This fact should be used for our extra motivation

If we win next week we should consider the following 2 players to immediely strengthen our team - bring Dembele back from Spurs and have a cheeky bid for Johnny Evans. I’d also consider Moreno from Liverpool for left back. With these three players we can spend the rest of the budget (which to be realistic won’t be more than 50-60m) strengthening the squad. I don’t think we’d need to radically change our first team so for me improving the squad is a priority. Let’s win next saturdays match first!!
Replies
Firstly, ridiculously premature discussion; secondly: wouldn’t touch Dembele with a barge pole
posted by Rm (Guest) - Thursday 17th May 2018, 7:25 AM

Evans will go to an Everton or a Newcastle, I reckon. Dembele, no chance. We should be looking at players like Alfie Mawson as a replacement for the out-of-favour Kalas. I always really liked the look of Tom Carroll at Swansea too. Nacer Chadli from WBA wouldn't be a bad shout either, as Ayite certainly isn't good enough for the Premier League. Possibly Joe Allen from Stoke too? These players should be slightly easier to grab, now that they're in the Championship. Obviously, all of this depends on what has happened after the Final!

Moussa has all the talent in the world. But not a burning desire, and if you watch Tottenham you’ve seen this. Beautiful passer, still has pace. But really just shuttles the ball around without posing a threat. Not a winner.

Fulham have a better record against A Villa than M'Boro, but we will have to watch out Lewis doesn't grab them at Wembley. He's the one to watch. Glad too that Mr R Seesgon is not on Gareth's list for Russia. He's only 18 (Happt Birthday Sess!) and will after our play off final at Wembley need time away from FFC and everthing to relax and spend some time with his family. He's been great this season, but now its time for the other players to stand up and be counted.

It was a long time ago since Cairney or even Johansen pinged a special in from a dead-ball situation. What better time to unleash a belter than at Wembley, and light up the fans here and worldwide. Tom at the moment has not found his shooting boots, and i think something special from him is long overdue. Those curling shots are not quite there, and hopefully, he can find his feet. Johansen is better than he as shown. I think he should concentrate on his movement and his passing game, rather than pulling shirts and taking one for the team as some say. Another players foal is deemed idiotic and Johansen is a hero for getting booked these days. Johansen is a gifted player, and when he is on it, he is well capable of dinking one over the wall into the net. I hope our guys are practising free kicks, because 'Grealish' is well capable of pinging one over too. We will need to watch him also. Wembley is built for a moving Tom Cairney who will most likely boss the middle of the park. I can't wait for the big show now, and along with our fans and people worlwide, our boys will go out on the hallowed turf and enjoy the occasion... BRING IT ON!!!!!!

After watching last night's match between Villa and Boro', I can't say that I was impressed, and quite frankly if that's the best that Villa can do, I don't think that we will have too much to worry about at Wembley. Of course John Terry was spouting off about how they are going to return to the Premier League in the Final, but quite honestly they struggled to hold out against a very average Boro' side, and if we play to our potential, we should come out as winners.
