I know that I am biased, but when England win anything I am always delighted, so I'm really really pleased that the woman's team won again. From what I saw of the game, it was quite ordinary, although both goals were taken well. The biggest surprise to me though is the improved showings of the woman's goalkeepers, who used to be a joke, and our young keeper, did exceptionally well throughout the tournament.

Yes, well done, huffing and puffing to a penalties win over the semi final conquerors of Switzerland. Take a look on YouTube and watch Switzerland get thumped 7-1 by the FC Lucern U15 boys team in June this year. A bit of perspective might be in order.

Muniz to Leeds for 26 million and the we buy Kiernan Dewsbury is stupid because we are swopping a powerful target man for a midfielder Apparently Leeds are more than keen for Muniz and this move could spell disaster if Leeds go above us before jan window and we find ourselves in the bottom three. Muniz hasn't been prolific as a goalscorer but he does have the potential to develop into one. It is well documented that Muniz is a nightmare to play against and we need his robustness and his powerful presence upfield. Targetmen strikers may be hard to come by and i say better the devil you know in Muniz, at least he knows the lay of the land and what we should be doing is buying another striker. A better balance if Muniz is going is replace him with someone like Joao Felix who is an attacking midfielder who can slot into a striker role if needs be. Please' no more mistakes giving away strikers please! If Muniz is gone, we will need a target-man and there is no guarantee for Fulham at this level that we will find what we are looking for.

As I say every season, the newspapers look at each club see what players they need and can afford and choose players who fit these criteria. This is all invented but the Clubs think that some of the made up transfers may be feasible and happen making the journalist seemingly very well informed when in reality they are just lucky tellers of untruths.

Comfortable win but second half showed our weakness by losing/giving away possession far too often. Similar to many games last season. Need more cohesion/control in midfield. Harry looking good. Another 2 quality goals.

Congratulations to us Fulham to win 3-1 and a nice confidence booster. I would say that on percentage we beat Forest more times than they beat us and a better form guide is Fulham to beat the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, City and the usual suspects who consistently break the top 6. I should not be too pessimistic, good start though...

A back up keeper from a just relegated French side . Possibility of Sterling - " any London club will do , just as long as someone gtees my £250K plus weekly salary " . We need extra speed in defence , more creativity in midfield , striker option - and that is minimum . Plus we will lose two players ( Iwobi and Bassey ) and maybe Gado to Africa Cup in January . Se are slow in signings traditionally but now seem even slower than usual . Shows a lack of ambition from those higher up than the dugout !

Hi Guys. Realistically do we really sense any lessons learnt or changes in our recruitment strategy? I don't think so such a shame. Always positive as love FFC forever but as one of the richest clubs in the premier league I feel Mr Khan is not ambitious enough to provide Marco with much needed quality players. Smithers Rowe real disaster and Nelson looked best potential but injury stalled progress. Now as ever looking at ex rejects and old players, Kingsley Daniel's come on we are better than this. So let's hope we get a quality striker which we have never replaced Mitrovuc quality and 2/3 midfield options. No go Palinha as can't get in Bayerns team and Perira also not good enough. Just my opinion as if we don't strengthen, I sense we will struggle. Excuse typos.

My new book 'When George Best played for Fulham' is now out and available to buy on Amazon, in hardback, priced at 14.99. It's a celebration and commemoration of this footballing icon's time at SW6 and is packed full of exclusive intervews with FFC legends Rodney Marsh, Les Strong and John Mitchell, opposition players Kenny Hibbitt (Wolves) Jim Eadie (Bristol City) and Steve Finnieston (Chelsea) not forgetting the fans still young enough to remember watching George play in a Fulham shirt together with more than 150 match action photos of George playing for the Whites. There are memories/thoughts/recollections and opinions about the great man himself from all the contributors. It was at Fulham where it is widely regarded by many that George Best fell in love with football again. The book covers all the ups and downs of Best's 47 appearances at FFC, including his debut almost 50 years ago v Bristol Rovers at the Cottage where he scored the game's only goal in just 71 seconds!

Look at the teams around us Brentford lost 2 possibly 3 of their best players,Bournemouth lost the same have Brighton. With our current squad we’ve only lost Willian(barely played last year) why the urgency to go out and sign over priced average players? Josh King could be our star next year

No complaints re the young guys getting new contracts. Especially after losing Osmand to Celtic and the many more in preceding years. My guess is Marco wasn’t happy about this either and finally got some action for our academy which has very successful. But we need players at the cutting edge now, Marco needs players at the cutting edge now and to leave it so late doesn’t do us any favours against our strengthened competitors.
posted by Dellers (Guest) - Thursday 24th July 2025, 8:24 PM

Buying players is not a race it is getting the best players you can when you can at a price you can afford. A lot of bargaining goes on, when they ask for £25m and we offer £20m if no other offers come in we get him at that price but if others come in and bid we may end up paying more if we really want him. If you have ever been to an auction it is very much like that, you get it cheap, you pay the expected price, you pay over the odds or you do not buy.

We have a lot of money to spend but if nobody in the squad leaves all we really need is a decent striker(one who consistently score goals) and perhaps a replacement for Pereira who despite all his running about produces very little. If we want people a cut above our usual player the budget could easily be spent of those two with perhaps another clever free transfer. The real money is not spent on transfer fees but on players wages. That is why even Chelsea have had to get shot of some of the surplus players, they cannot afford them as even when they go on loan they still pay a portion of their wages and the cost of any injuries. The transfer part of a footballer clubs cost is reality small in term of cost and activity, but fans see is as important as they nearly all feel we need better players at the expense of the ones we all ready have. We also seem at last to have some talented youngsters who want to play for us not one of the so called bigger team.

Still a month to go! Marco is a quality rather than a quantity man. Some gems will come out of the woodwork in due course. Cast your minds back to a few years ago when gaining promotion under Slavisa. We bought at will. And look where it got us. Instant relegation! ( sounding a bit like Leeds are up to now?)

Securing the signatures of Kenny Tete, Tom Cairney, Seth Ridgeon, Josh King and Luc de Fougerolles is fantastic business pre-season and we could easily have lost these kind of players in previous seasons. We will likely also have Nelson back on loan or permanent as well as Dewsbury Hall from Chelsea if rumours are to be believed and I have no doubt, that in true Fulham style, there will be a player or two signed that comes completely out of the blue before mid-August. Just because we haven’t rushed out to spend big money on players like some other clubs, does not make it wrong and I for one, am staying confident that the Khans will ensure our squad is strengthened for the coming season and that our progress under Marco will continue. Stay positive and have faith and I’m sure that all questions will be answered in the coming days and weeks. We have six weeks left to do our business so what’s the rush?

I think that it’s significant that Fulham have retained Tete, Cairney etc basically because the club is a happy ship. Imagine how Man U fans must feel as several top players there can’t wait to leave, and instead the club is forced to spend yet more big money. Having a happy ship means Marco can find missing pieces in the Fulham jigsaw, rather than rushing around under pressure telling players not to report for training because their mere presence is too disruptive!

The transfer game isn't over yet so we can't judge too early. Yes we can put a half-full glass lens on and say we've done well so far securing these contracts. We can even look more positively sneaking over the fence and look at our neighbour Brentford. However, there's a price in bringing new players in late - they will miss large part of the pre-season and unless the player is super fit, it will be late Sept/Oct before they are fully integrated into the team. So I'd score us 6 out of 10 so far!

And it is 34 year old Benjamin Laconte a former French International goalkeeper as back up for Leno. What? Is the average age of our team not already old enough. Why not a very good young prospect? After all we have let some very good goal keepers leave in the past .... Edwin v d Saar (to Manchester United), Alphonse Areala (now at West Ham), David Stockdale no good at Fulham went to Brighton and was excellent. Maarten Stekleneberg who went to Everton and then back to Ajax Amsterdam and Mark Crossley who went to Notts Forest. (and not to forget Tony Marceldo)

At £718 a ticket they will. These tourists aren’t at the Cottage to watch Fulham. The tickets are sold as a package to watch premier league football in opulent surroundings in central london amongst a smattering of ‘celebrities’ with your Prosecco and selfie stick. Who’s playing is almost an afterthought.

If a lot of wealthy people buy these tickets we become a more wealthy club who can afford better players not half a dozen cheap o players what we have usually done. The most we have ever paid for a player is £35m which would seem a pittance to the Cubs who regularly play in the Championship league and have nearly three times the players budget to us. If we could start paying £50m and above for players our fortune will eventually change. Once you have squad full of very good players all you have to buy is replacements if you do not have a young player, Man City became a top team by improving their squad steadily and attracting better young players to their academy.

I don’t normally comment on the women football as I don’t have much insight into them or nor have enough time to take an interest. However, congratulations to the England Lionesses. I think one of the reasons why they have been so successful is the manager able to stop any one player being bigger than the team, which I think is a clear and evident recipe for winning. This is also the key reason why the England men could not match the success in the last 40 years!! We always have players not only arrogant but think they are bigger than the team. We had the guys like Bellingham, Lampard, Terry, Gerrard, etc etc. Until England can build a team like the lionesses, who are never found in the front pages of the newspaper, the men will continue to watch the ladies lifting cups! Well done to the lionesses and the manager weigmen!

My point being that the wimmin’s game will always be slower and less exciting than the mens. I’d put it on a level with dwarf throwing but I think I’d actually tune into that. I used to work with a little bloke years ago who made a few quid at weekends dressing in a Velcro suit and get himself thrown at a giant felt dartboard at corporate events. Words likely to make our scouts/ management spring into action - OK spring is probably exaggeration . We had a reasonably good season but results in the last 6 weeks showed the squad weakness and where we need improvements . Do we really need to sell a couple of our better players to suddenly see some incoming action . Not blaming the coaching staff , they can only work with what they have - and at the moment the squad doesnt look strong enough to achieve more than survival . But irrespective , rain or shine , i will be there .

All I hear is about who we are willing to sell. Antoniee Robinson, Harrison Reed, Andreas Pereira, Harry Wilson, Rodrigo Muniz and now I hear Luke Harris is going out to Oxford FC on loan for the season. Liverpool FC are after our prize gem Seth Ridgeon and he's the best since a certain Johnny Haynes, so we have absolutely got to keep hold of that young man. What's these about the fair play rules when Liverpool have already spent £200 million, with the Manchester clubs likely to spend even more. I don't get it. We had the oldest team in the Premiership and the smallest squad last season. How is Fulham meant to compete against the BIG boys if we are willing to sell all our best player? What about getting Nico Williams back from Notts Forest, where he hardly gets a look in thesedays? He's been playing very well for the Welsh national side!

He is being sold, but oh no he's not being sold, and this applies to both Muniz and now Wilson. Who, in their right mind would even contemplate losing either of these well established Premier League players, unless of course, they have two sensational top class players coming in. So what the hell is really going on at our club, wouldn't it be nice to know.

Nothing wrong in picking up a few cheap and cheerful bargain basement players here and there, and no doubt the odd free transfer but i still think we need to sign a big signing, a statement of intent and to send a message to teams around us. We are a talented team and on a good day we can beat the best but we have so-so days when we can't string a move and a finish on goal together. We have Sessegnon back and he is past his injury woes, thank goodness and Sess is a key component in our team. The two ex Arsenal boys Smith Rowe and Reise Nelson can be big players but we still need somebody in the middle in between these two guys. Pereira and Cairney have their uses but at this level we need more just a touch more. It will cost us 30-35 million but i say it will be worth it. GO-GET 'João Félix' from Chelsea. Felix is the clever one that can finally seal and glue this team together. We need an attacking winger player who is offensive-minded and João Félix is the right type and a good age of 25 for us. Felix is the lost boy Chelsea didn't want and he has been tossed to and through from one team to another. We have the right manager in Marco who can get the best from Felix. It sounds crazy but if we can get someone like Felix i would stress about another striker on top of Jimenez and Muniz because Felix can slot into a forward role. None of this is going to happen, unfortunately but sometimes now and again players on fans thought radar come up for sale. João Félix apparently is one of half a dozen players Chelsea are keen to move on. Give a talented player a home and a warm welcome and friends, he might just return the favour and enjoy playing football for a smaller family-oriented club such as Fulham. Happy days everyone!!!!!!

If we had a really proficient striker that would make a big difference. Somebody who can win games we do not deserve to win. That would turn us from a good team to a very good team. The other factor is it is 5 weeks from the closure of the window, so even if we only sign one player a week from now on we will look as if we have done well. We are the only team that has not made signings so what. We cannot afford the player the top teams get and we would not want the players the lower team buy and we are in big competition with the other teams for the rest of the players. The advantage we have is a manager who can turn £25m players into £50m one and that is a big advantage. It is also the way most of the big team became big using the same method

And they will spend it wisely not lash out and pay what is asked like other teams do but try to get a reasonable price. They ask try to look our for the type of players others would not notice but who our excellent manager can improve greatly. If Muniz is really worth £55m, if he is that is down to clever considered buying and training and motivation from Marco. Some people when buying anything go to a shop and buy the best looking thing they see, others study what's available and what suits them best and where they can get it from then buy it. We are in the latter category when buying players. We will buy the best players that are available we can afford and we will not rush over it as the window does not close until September. So we might as well wait until September.

Season after season they seem to find gems , get 4 good years out of the players and then sell them on for at least 8 times what they paid . Our coaching team is good , and multi lingual including Spanish , Portuguese , French , Greek as well as English . But they can only work with the players we have . Our scouting , esp if you exclude youth team graduates , is woeful . And the acceptance of it says much about the ambitions of owners / management .

Stansfield and Carvalho are two more from whom we profited that come immediately to mind but there are definitely others since returning to the Prem. I’m sure someone will tell us….or not ;0). The point is, that a small family club like Fulham are punching well above our weight and losing money season after season yet we still spend well on decent players ensuring our anchor in Europe’s top division. If you click on the link I posted above, it gives a pretty good explanation of our finances and also shows why clubs like Bournemouth and Brentford have had fire sales this window.

Sunderland are taking a bet as Forest did. If Forest got relegated two seasons ago, which they very nearly did, they’d be in a completely different situation now, probably stuck in the championship with a transfer embargo. But their bet paid off. Sunderland are doing the same. Yes, it’d be exciting for us to do the same but the owners always maintained they’d manage the club properly. So while disappointing we haven’t bought even one player yet, the transfer window still got 4-5 weeks to go!

It is very strange that a player like Muniz who once was the ridiculed regularly by some of our supporters, now seems to be attracting big bids from clubs like Leeds, and possibly Spurs, if the rumours are to be true, and yes, he is a reasonably good striker, but to suddenly being worth 50 million plus, is a complete mystery. However, I would be really amazed if Marco let him go at this stage, without an adequate replacement. On the other hand if Muniz insists on leaving, then let him go, as I seem to remember him saying how happy that he was with us, so if that was a lie, which I don't think it was, then I will be disappointed, and wave him on his way.

To think a couple of seasons ago we would have given Muniz away! Let's take the money and run while it's still on offer.Leeds Spurs whatever. I have faith that Marco had some plans up hid sleeve. Let's leave it to expect Marco.

Just goes to show, you have to perform to earn the loyalty of the fans. He has improved, so it isn’t rocket science.

Whether you see it or not, he’s built a reputation that he’s difficult to handle by the defenders. Sometimes the bulldozer approach can work. Some of our fans still have doubts about his technical skills. What he has is an eye for goal. As he’s only 24, he has the potential to be the next Mitrovic. In his prime, Mitrovic would be worth £80m in today’s market. Hence, a 40m gamble will give you a 100% return and worse case you’d use 20m. So the math does add up. Personally, I’d take £45-50m for him.

I have been a great admirer of Muniz and two years ago I stated that with his latent talent he would be valued at £50 mln. He is 24 years old, has scored some spectacular goals for us last season, is improving all the time so, why sell him. His happiness and rapport with the fans is infectious and I fully expect him to score 15 goals next season if he plays regularly. He is too be cherished and will repay us with goals a rare commodity at the Cottage.
posted by bigboy4650 (Guest) - Saturday 19th July 2025, 10:59 AM

Surely £55m will buy us a striker who regularly scores goals. Muniz has always looked promising but does not scores goals regularly enough and has had enough chances to prove himself without success. Players rarely have loyalty to us so we should not keep players just because they are personable.
posted by The Time Is Now - Saturday 19th July 2025, 11:10 AM

So Muniz isn't a goal scorer, well lads he scored this afternoon, in a 4-1 win against Aberdeen, with our boy Josh on the score sheet as well, and oh, Harry got a couple as well.
posted by THE CRAVEN (Guest) - Saturday 19th July 2025, 5:31 PM

Muniz can score beautiful goals that please the eye. If he is staying, he needs to score a lot more goals, for starters, and also ugly goals, tap-ins, flicks of the chin - any goal will do. I am sure any striker worth their salt will know the 20 goal ratio is the marker for the season and any above 20 is big news and big bucks on your CV. The right frame of mind and getting into a rhythm is important and Muniz has the confidence just like a lot of Brazilians which is part of his game. Why the surprise a team such as Leeds can come in for Muniz? A lot of us can see the potential in Muniz but the question is do we have the patience and the time to let him grow and develop into the player we know he can? The club is always going to be more important than the player and a bad start to a season and no goals is pressure and the main pressure falls on the striker if he doesn't connect and hit the ground running nine times out of ten unless goals come from somewhere else in the team. Scruteny will also fall on the likes of Smith Rowe who we expect to step up on what he has shown so far...
posted by OWEN - Saturday 19th July 2025, 8:43 PM

Muniz is a top class striker young and improving. He would have performed even better if he had started. Jiminez has his moments but Muniz is much better. His injury near the end of the season was a big factor in our form dipping off. We have to do everything to keep Muniz as unlike the majority he's only going to improve and he's quality now.
posted by Brian (Guest) - Saturday 19th July 2025, 10:14 PM

Brian, thank goodness I am not alone in my assessment of Muniz with Craven also chipping in with disguised plaudits. Owen, hang your head in shame as you used to be an admirer of him last season and provided he starts regularly he will score goals.
posted by bigboy4650 (Guest) - Sunday 20th July 2025, 8:17 AM

I don't think for a minute, that it's going to happen, as it would be really stupid if we let Muniz go, at this stage of his career. From what we hear from the past, it was Marco who wanted him to join us in the first place, and he has had him under his wing ever since, although the loan to Boro' didn't work out too well, Muniz has grabbed the bull by the horns and by sheer determination, is proving that what Marco saw early on, is now coming to fruition, and you don't for one minute think that Marco would agree to let him go, as we now have a possibly top striker on our hands. If by any silly chance that he did leave, there will be, including myself, some very furious supporters at our club, but not to worry he is going nowhere.

Good strkers are rare and have to be in a team that has the talent to supply them pay 55 mill for a player that presumably will score 20 plus could cost a club 200 grand a week think we’ve got a 20plus goal man in muniz of he plays 90 minutes regularly personally think one of the reasons for our disatrous end of season came with the demise of muniz by the way think little bees will find out now if you spend 40 mill on a player he will want 80 grand a week on 17000 gates you need to sell on a regular basis and if your incoming players are not up to it there’s only one way to go for all our moaners out there might not be ideal policy but it’s worked for a couple of seasons now and last seasons short fall was entirely our undoing amateurish last minute defending

England did very well but have the penalty takers not noticed how the men take them They do everything they can to get the keeper to move before they kick so they can slip the ball the opposite him the opposite way. The Swedish was diving early every time but in the main the English ladies kicked it the same way. Equally why did the Ref not pull up the keeper for diving, over the line, before the ball is kicked each time.

I am well aware that our Chairman Sadiq Kahn has invested a lot of money in our club and he invested a great deal in the new Riverside Stand, but would it now be wise to look for other investors to come on Board to finance a team that is both younger (we had the oldest team last season in the Premiership and also the smallest) and more tallented (as we have had no outstanding players for the past two season, i.e. best goalkeeper, best defender or best striker. Let alone any full English internationals. We ought to avoid African players as this coming year again it is the African Nations Cup and that is disprutive.

The moaners are complaining that we have not rushed out and bought a load of rubbish players. We nearly always buy our players at the last minute so in the friendlies we can try out all our promising youngsters, if we have any, rather than filling the team with the new players, which makes the existing players and the youngsters think they are not wanted. This is the way we normally do it for the reason I have given, It is not a race, it is getting the best players we can afford at the most suitable time.

May I remind you pessimists what happened when we beat Villa at Wembley for our return to the premier league? We went out and spent millions, dismantled the squad that got us promoted by buying mercenaries who took us straight back down and then jumped ship. Marco has steadied the ship and built what seems to be a wonderful dressing room. That is our strength and new signings must fit in. Why panic?

Only club not to have a single player , despite the obvious weakness in squad . We need more pace in defence , more creativity and legs in midfield as both Smith -Rowe and Periara knackered after 60 minutes , and at least one more forward . We have couple of good young kids coming through but they are still squad impact players . The Club world cup , what ever its merits , gave our scouts armchair opportunity to see if any players might relish premiership challenge . There are real pluses in getting players involved in preseason training . But please dont just chase a player who has lost his way in the last 3 seasons or is injury prone or even worse wants to sign because he doesnt need to move house !

Fulham FC try to sign Reiss Nelson from Arsenal! ……On loan, as they add to their impressive acquisitions.

Bad enough that sometimes we feel like the football hospital when we come to sign players. Taking on Sterling, we'd turn our hospital into an expensive graveyard! He's on 300k per week. so definitely a No! I'd consider Sancho if we can get him for 15m and he drops he salary from 300k to 70-80k!

Fulham must hold on to Seth Ridgeon, despite the larger clubs circling as I believe he could be our next Johnny Haynes. What would FFC been had Johnny Haynes departed to Tottenham Hotspur as Alan Mullery did? To resign Tom Cairney for another year has to be a stop gap action. Fulham is the only Premiership club NOT to have signed a single new player. We have another five weeks to go, until 1 September, 2025 when the transfer windown closes, but again if we leave it to the very last minute, this will give extra no time for any new, preferrably younger players to gel into a successful team. What the hell was Chelsea FC doing allowing President Donald Trump to barge into their celebrations? What an idiot that man is.

The climate has been changing for billions of years, ask the dinosaurs or the people who lived where the Solent is now. Telling people that loads of windmills and solar panels imported from china will help stop it is a scam. Adding green levies to energy bills is a scam, taking tax money from poor people who can’t afford a car and giving it in subsidies so wealthier people who can afford a car will buy an EV is a scam. Yes, I’m serious.

The primary and most definitively proven cause of global warming is the increased concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, primarily due to human activities. These gases, such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide, trap heat and warm the planet. Burning fossil fuels for energy, deforestation, and industrial processes are major contributors to this increase. These are indisputable facts proven by numerous measurement.

Whoever thought that Chelsea, would become World club Champions, but through gritted teeth, I must admit that they thoroughly deserved to win, and they look a pretty decent side for the new season. PSG, turned out to be quite nasty after the game. The trouble is, they can't take a defeat on the chin, after constantly winning. Very bad sportsmanship I'm afraid.

While we are waiting with bated breath for a striker to replace a never-on-the-pitch Vinicius, my mind is in a conundrum after some very tame feedback about the possible return of Mitrovic. Only two people objected to the return of Mitro and their response wasn't too convincing or inflammatory which was encouraging. Ipitombi and TTin, your response and feedback to my cheeky (survey) is dead in the water, lol'. The return of Aleksandar Mitrovic to Fulham for a fee of let's say 30 million, we have to be sensible he is a few years older guy's, is a good option for Fulham. I just don't get that feeling that if we were 2-1 down to Everton in the second half and a surprise sub in Mitro coming on would be unpopular. We folded like a deck of cards and not much reaction from us fans apart from one fan who reacted by throwing his arms about and shouting, but no steward intervened. The captaincy position is swapped around because Cairney isn't full time and i say there should be a lot more passion in whoever is captain, i just don't see it enough. I just hope that in our quest for another striker we consider the Mitro option and try to get him at a lower price because Mitrovic has a good few years of punch and passion left in him yet. We have a good nucleus of a squad and i look forward to the return of fast-guy Reise Nelson who at the age of 25 still has the best to come and i still think that Smith Rowe will come good...

Just thought mentioning that we have a squad of 21 players if Cairney is given another year, in my view it is not easy to improve this without spending an awful lot of money. Installing a top quality set-piece coach is a absolute must, could have been worth up to 10 points last season. Firstly an adequate goalkeeper as a deputy is another must, understand Ryan could possibly be available. Sess has really added to our flexibility, increasing options in all 3 areas left side of the pitch. We need to get more from Smith-Rowe, Traore, and find an answer to Anderson's inability to deal with pace, Perrera hopefully will go, King will become a regular. Top quality mid-feilder required, but will have to break our transfer record for the right guy. Wilfred Ndidy for 9mill would be good to replace Perrera. We are a good team.
Replies
Agree denny. I have long advocated that Andersen is a liability, too slow, readily fouls regardless of the consequences and often seeks out trouble.

Cairney is a marmite kind of player. Love him in certain games to suit and other games the pace is too much and these days he can only play 45 minutes. Sessegnon came on a free and i think it was only for that reason why he didn't feature as much as our money-signed players. Sessegnon is a way better player than we gave him credit for when he signed on a free and the majority were worried about his injuries. One of the first names on the team sheet for me and what an adaptable and versatile player he is. I agree we ne to get more from Smith Rowe and i wonder if Smith Rowe is still in Arsenal mode and the way how Arsenal would play him? The saying goes, it is our way or the highway and Smith Rowe will play our system no probs. I think the return of Reise Nelson will give him added confidence along with a few more additions, Smith Rowe will find his way. If i see Pereira taking corners and free kicks out there, we will have the lowest conversions and goal assist again. Apparently we have a new free kick and set piece coach.

Chuck out the Spice Girl for a minute and you have these four egos and let's add into this mix and fire big Josh Verstappen the 'er' Boss of Red Bull? To cut this very long saga of a soap opera short and sweet, we harken back to Verstappen's controversial first world championship in 2021 when Red Bull and Horner cheated their way to their first title and robbed Lewis Hamilton out of his 8th and record-breaking title past the great Schumacher These things happen, we are all grown ups and adults, we move on. Except Christian Horner who thinks he is 20 again and starts to re-enact his teen years, say no more. Yes' Horner is an arrogant so and so but you gotta give him the respect he deserves for welding tin cans of that awful Red-Bull together and let's not forget in the house, genius Adrian Newey. Lewis Hamilton now at Ferrari cannot break into a top 3 spot half way into a season and it says a lot about the rubbish ferrari and team when Nico Hulkenberg and the lowly Sauber beats you to 3rd spot in a race. Personally i would sack most of the Ferrari set-up and team who cannot organise or win a egg and spoon race. I have some sympathy for Horner and the rumours are that he is in touch with Lewis Hamilton and i think there is a home for him at Ferrari if they can see the big picture. Let's be perfectly honest here' Ferrari should be winning races into this season so far now but combined with the idiotic radio incompetence and stupid tactical mistakes, they have been a joke and personally i would sack the idiots and install Christian Horner and it would make good sense to call on old pal Adrian Newey and these two would lick the old Scuderia into shape and maybe Lewis Hamilton can finally get that 8th title he craves. Shame about the quiet man Toto Wolf who is a great boss and a very nice chap but he will most likely have the arrogant and slightly mad Max Verstappen to deal with. While back at Red Bull no doubt big boss man Josh Verstappen will get bored and walk off and find somebody else to bully and bash around. Why this about F1 where nobody gives a hoot about? I shrug my shoulders!!!!!!!!

Owen, who on earth watches, or is interested in motor racing, the most boring sport ever thought of. I would get more enjoyment standing on a bridge over a motorway than watching a lot of so called fast cars going round and round in circles, 52 times. You would have to tie me down in a chair to watch that expensive rubbish. Owen, please talk football and Fulham not silly racing cars, which are just rich mans playthings.

Agree totally AC , add as well cycling eg Tour de France watching people on bikes following each other with the most exciting thing being when they change gear ! Both so called sports zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz !

Owen, although not a motor racing fan, I admire your post for its creativity and agree with the skullduggery which robbed Hamilton of his eighth title. You certainly earn marks for your imagination if not for your grammar. However, at the end of the day I agree with AC. If you are going to post a comment, so removed from football, preamble it with the fact that you digress from the Board’s main subject in a particularly quiet period, especially as far as Fulham is concerned. From a personal point of view I always enjoy your posts so, never stop.

Cycling is the ultimate test of character, fitness, tactics and endurance. Add to that the races within races, crashes, fisticuffs and the odd recipe of the regions being cycled through thrown in, currently the commentary team are savouring the delights of a cooked Camembert with honey and chilli. If only the pampered professionals of the Premier League had half the grit and willingness to put such stress on their bodies.

I've just been looking at the Premier signings signed by clubs, published on the internet sports column this morning, and every club, and I mean every club, bar none, have made new signings to strengthen their clubs squads, but guess what, the only club not mentioned is of course Fulham. I don't know whether I feel absolutely frustrated, our just bloody angry. What the hell is going on at our club, we always seem to fall behind them eight ball, season after season, and it's happening again before this season starts. I know, some of you will say that new signings will be coming along, cut by the time that we get around from sleepy hollow, all of the decent players will have been signed by other clubs, and we will be left by the has beens that nobody else wants, like Sterling. Heaven forbid.

Seems if player signings were goals brighton would be 7/0 up by now followed by sunderland, about 5/0 and forrest then then wolves, ffc minus about 10 as we chucked about that many out

Admit our window so far is frustrating, but Sunderland have just come up need premiership players and have lost players. Brentford have lost star players and had to replace them so have Brighton same forest , know West Ham losing a star and fans angry who have they signed. Yes l like us to move quickly, but we’ve lost no stars so far , to say we’re worst is rubbish

6/6 defender picked up by forrest along with a striker who cost 10 mill ,both under 24 ,i do recall forrest finished higher than us so no need to smirk at these buys. And again no one on there radar unlike us who when we look at a player the world and his dog know and get there first .

Could it be the reason we have not purchased a player so far is that we are only after one, a top striker as the sort price we have never come anywhere near paying before.

This is getting worrying, no incomings as yet. Thought all targets had been discussed and agreed. It is obvious what we need, back up keeper, attacking midfielder and striker and possibly another wide player. If we can keep our defenders should be ok there. When are we ever going to be proactive, but maybe targets wanted don’t want come to Fulham…..
