We clearly have problems when trying to gell new players to Fulham like Chambers, Mawson, Seri, etc. I now, and a steady stream of fans, can see how difficult it is to get a group of 11 players to work in cohesion and form a bond with each other and most importantly to click and to know each others game. I honestly said to myself, that if there was an obvious improvement when playing Liverpool at Anfield, i would be happy to accept any good improvement within our team. I set myself up for a 1 goal defeat to Liverpool, and it was 2.0. I honestly think that this was an honest and wholehearted improvement within our squad. This is Liverpool we are talking about guys's, and our lads were hard done by with some dubious decisions. Time i think to give our guys a break now the dust has settled i think. To me, Liverpool are overhyped! If this is the best they can do? and just bare in mind that all the bookies and pundits were fearing the worst for Fulham. I was reading reports of 5-6 nils and everyone feared the worst for us. I hope local boy Mawson can carry on improving and feel his way into our squad along with Chambers etc. Mawson in particular because i think that he may have some leadership qualities that we desperately need at Fulham. Tom Cairney is not vocal enough, and i could see this back in the Championships. I think Tom would be the first to admit that he isn't gobby and lippy enough to bark orders. He didn't have a good game particularly at Liverpool, and unfortunately, at the moment, every Fulham players game is under scrutiny with the fans. Because of our horrendous start, just like the song says, 'Every Step you Take, i will be Watching You' A new league new everything, and we get the Heebie Jeebies! Well' now i can see a break, a small chink, in our fortunes, we are slowly turning a corner. Let's give our boys this international break and a rest. A time to reflect, recharge batteries and access. Remember Tim Ream? He went through hell back in the Championships before we even saw anything in him. Reamy slinked off back to the states riding high and with our player of the year. He will be mortified i how he as performed so far, but guys, don't give up on Reamy just yet. He has re-invented himself once before and he was our best performer. Tim Ream can take time to reflect and he can do so again. Rise from the ashes like a phoenix is the words i am looking for. Tom Cairney, i am confident that he has the making of a great midfielder, he just needs that little bit more time. Taken from a famous quote; 'WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE, BUT KNOW NOT WHAT WE MAY BE' WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE. We may become a team yet! Give it time folks!!!!

How many promoted teams have survived in the Premiership without buying a new squad. I refrain from using the word team as it doesn't follow. I know each week some of us share the frustration of why it was felt we had to have so so many additions to the squad this year losing all the momentum we had built since Xmas in the championship.
In that second half we were the best team by a mile even better than Wolves who have not gone mad in the transfer market. I could understand Cardiff trying to strengthen all over but not us
Could we not offload most of those hopeless signings in the upcoming January window get Targett back and if we cannot find a good one maybe someone out the youth at RB then play with most of last seasons team for at least 1 match, what could we lose ?
I am sure it would at least look like a team playing together

Like you I’m not happy but think saw some signs on Sunday that he’s beginning to get to grip with defence we have Southampton next think we owe him that and take it from there but whoever’s in charge need to stay in touch

Wouldn’t it be good if someone at the club admitted who is responsible for the signings? It took a few transfer windows before we got what was needed last time. Everyone (supporters) were crying out for a centre back a left back and a decent forward yet those running the transfers failed to get what was required time and time again. Remember the summer window in 2017. The club signed more wingers than they knew what to do with and players in position we didn’t need and still left us without a left back and centre back. They also signed Kamara and Fonte!!! Enough said. Every seems to forget that Mitro was signed in the last seconds and was waiting to go to Belgium but he’s visa did not come through. It was a last minute call from Slav that got him signed. He wasn’t being followed by Khan & co. So are the latest flops the doing of Slav or Khan? Whoever signed them (and I’m sure it’s Khan) they clearly have no idea about Football.
If you're so sure its the Khans why ask the question!!

Really encouraged by the first half yesterday but actually quite disappointed with my first ever trip to Anfield. We get criticised for the lack of passion and atmosphere but Anfield yesterday made the Cottage seem like a bear pit. Almost 55,000 there and you could hear the players shouting to each other. It's almost as though they didn't hear the ref's whistle to end the two minute's silence. I know Fergie used to say the first task was to silence the Kop but even he never got them this quiet. Maybe we should take it as a compliment!
A club and its supporters going through the motions as they collect a guaranteed and unchallenged three points. Not a compliment but rather total boredom.

The hype about how good the support is at Anfield is just that HYPE, they are actually one of the quietest supporters in the country due to the number of tourists that attend their matches!

Huddersfield’s goal against us last week would have been prevented if we had had a man on the post and possibly we would have come away with a point and more importantly 2 less points for them. On Saturday with the score at 1 1 West Ham had a corner cleared off the line by a Huddersfield defender on the post and that gained them another point. I know lots of teams don,t defend the posts at corners but by such fine margins our Premiership safety could depend.
Would of been prevented. If Fosu Mensah challenged for ball instead of pulling away last minute and the ball hitting him and going in

Like everyone else I thought we played well in the first half and were desperately unlucky with decisions. However that gutless load of crap in the second half was inexcusable.
I’m still upset with what we put in at Cardiff and Huddersfield . But the Liverpool game we were Robbed by officials in first halve and fought till the end always gonna be hard after refs blunder anyone not proud of them after giving there all v a top side does not live in real world. The good news is that the team showed fight for most of the match. Mawson looked comfortable, Chambers added some spine to central midfield. But the bad news (perhaps) is that this wasn't really Slavisa football. Liverpool were always going to be a challenge, and the team was set up to defend and take what might be there on the counter. And, on a luckier day, a draw might have been in the offing. Yes, Mitro's goal should have counted, and the Liverpool keeper should not have been allowed to kick a moving ball. But any "euphoria" over the improved effort after the Huddersfield debacle should be tempered by the realization that the way Fulham played today is not conducive to long-term success unless the lack of offensive cohesion in the midfield is also addressed. Fulham had only 27 percent possession, significantly fewer passes than Liverpool, and attacking passes were a feeble 29.5 percent. At times, it looked as though Fulham should have charged Liverpool rent for becoming tenants in the Fulham box. Yes, Fulham were unlucky, but so were Liverpool, as only a fine game from Rico made the final score respectable. Lack of midfield cohesion, and ineffective fullback play going forward have put the Fulham defense under enormous pressure all season. Ramping up the defense helps, but the engine that drives Slavisa football is possession and offensive cohesion, neither of which were on display today.
2-0 at Lpool so much better than when Jol was around. I think we lost 5 then. Had our goal stood who knows. A big improvement.

Was at the game today was really surprised how positively we started notice all the doom and gloomers on already. If we continue to play the way we played today not saying we’ll stay up but like most genuine supporters will be happy if we make a battle of staying up. Beats playing Rotherham !! Not sure sacking Slavisa before the transfer window will solve anything although there’s no excuses for that abysmal display on Monday night think the players need to take some stick for that. As for Aggisa and Tom Cairney they don’t look good enough to play at this level
I’m so pleased! Now, remind me, where are we in the table?

Assume I’m addressing Mike, not Big improvement :)) Don’t diss everyone who opines that despite an improvement, how could it not be, this team really is not good enough. That doesn’t make them all “gloomers and dormers” just people with that opinion. You really should try to restrict yourself to stating your view and not giving others negative labels. Think I can say we all want them to improve, some live in hope others do not, after all, even you appear to think we will have difficulty staying up. I for one just want them to make a fist of it and play with some pride and commitment and not to make the club a laughing stock. Hopefully staying up, but not if we’re going to scratch around in the bottom 3 for the next few season, before we finally drop. I’d rather compete or find another level where we can.

better performance for the most part. More commitment & effort. However Anguissa & Seri are the two worst buys I've seen at FFC, they can't pass, they can't tackle & they have no fight. At 40 -50 million they are a disaster. I'd like to know who actually bought them. Vettio & Fosu Mensah need returning to sender as well, in my opinion.

Not overrated st all. Other than some French, don’t know too many that rate the league anywhere near the top 4 leagues in Europe. Good points John. I wrote before the season we needed premier league experience. No one but the best of the best stroll into the prem and take it over. Seems that adjustment periods coming to England are longer than other leagues. On top of that, we signed 4-5 that speak little or no English. What happened to Seri is most puzzling. Was great until the first intl. break. Came back from Africa a mess. Have a feeling a couple in the dressing room haven’t been very welcoming to the new guys either. Stef Jo and Kmac come to mind. Anyhow, watched every minute until halftime at Cardiff. Couldnt continue on. I rely on the Fulham faithful for their accurate reporting. Enjoy everyone’s posts, even the first 1/3 of Owen’s, my attention deficit disorder doesn’t allow for much more than that. Hopefully we prepare for the drop better than the last time. Learn some lessons and come back next time better than ever.

Think you guys are clutching at straws, still don’t think this team can take points from many, if any. Albeit it was an improvement over recents weeks but that ain’t difficult is it?Read below Chambers, who was yet again absolute rubbish and didn’t deserve to stay on the pitch after that tackle, and Anguissa were the right selection. What? Liverpool hardly broke into a sweat, possibly the easiest 3 points they’ll get all season. Everyone is lacking confidence now, can’t really see where goals are going to come from. Midfield not at home, no service to front men, who probably aren’t in the right mind set to score anyway. No tackling back to help out, dreadful in fact. Even TC and Mitro have had the fight knocked out of them. Brightest spot for me was Rico, he gets better each match, fortunately. This really is not a group of players capable of playing as a team. Major surgery needed and cartloads of Black felt tip and Whiteboards.
Mostly agree with the aforementioned, many are saying an improvement totally disillusioned all todays result did was to give a stay of execution for SJ which should end after the southampton game
posted by KUNYE (Guest) - Sunday 11th November 2018, 3:47 PM
You have got to be kidding! If today gives a stay of execution to Jokanovic then we are truly doomed to relegation. If anything, it should give a ray of hope to a new manager who could glean a bit of confidence that our problem is not entirely the players but poor tactics. If Khan doesn’t take action now, then I give up and would have been happier with a 6-0 drubbing

TC hasn’t ever had a fight in him, terrible skipper does not lead by example and was walking away from play for the second goal..in this situation you require bottle and leadership, TC is not blessed with either. So maybe your black felt tip can be used to scratch his name off the starting eleven and get Johansen on the park

Joka does to pick the team according to what CRK1006 has been saying. Also reporting that players are injured and therefore not selected, Sess not being played in his best position according to his posts. We all want ORielly but he apparently is not with USM. If you can prove otherwise then he should be playing but it sees to be the only reason he is not.

Realistic' i think you are being a bit harsh on the lads today. Surely if we played like we did today against Cardiff etc, i think we would be further up the table. Liverpool are good, but not a great side, they won't win the premiership on this form. A lot of ifs and but, but if Sess had put away that goal on 20 minutes? it might have been a different game. Admittedly, we are still showing some naivety when Shaquri scored his goal, nobody picked him up. Don't forget that Mawson, Marchand, Chambers, and Odoi, have not had enough game-time together. If we stick with this back 4 after the break? They will grow and understand each other. Still not sure about Christie? He had a reasonable game coming forward, but we still need to connect with Mitrovic and co. Fredericks is supposedly not prem class, yet still, i think we miss him. Sess on the left needs somebody behind him to release him. Still need more pace and accuracy from the flanks. Not enough firepower in that area. We taketh it away, and now we suffer. Christie for all his coming forward needs to bring more to the table if he is to stay in this Fulham side, that is what i am talking about.

Ok ok before I get totally shot down, I thing there were actually some positives to today's performance. 1. Rico is number 1. I love Betts, but this guy is different quality. 2. The formation. The 2nd best attack in the country had to make do with 2 goals - 1 of which was very contentious. We looked much better at the back and it allowed Sess to get forward. I even think Anguissa and Chambers was the right selection. Love McDonald, but he's too slow. 3. Mawson - I think Mawson played extremely well and showed that he should be in the team.
I really don’t go with the theory that our players aren’t good enough. For me is Jokanovic, who neither has the experience or guile at this level

I am happy with that performance. Mawson, Odoi,Marchand, and Rico the goalkeeper did well. I hope that we can keep the same shape after the break. Chambers also. Mitrovivs goal was not offside, very unlucky. Sessegnon should have buried that chance on 20 minutes. If he had done? It might have been a different game. Liverpool are not that great for me. If we had played like like this against Cardiff and others, we certainly would not be in this situation. I just think that we have turned a corner now, and all Fulham fans should be much happier. That is all we can ask for folks! Anguissa needs to use his brain and a lot more. Scuurle is a shadow of his old self, we could do with Kabano, or Aite, or even dare i say his name? Kamara!!! NO PACE! NO PACE!!! 100 MILLION SPENT AND NO PACE! SIGH!!!!!
Schurrle was out on his feet early in the 2nd half and should've been subbed then.

I don’t think SJ plays the pace game to be honest, we seem to pass the ball slowly until we see an opening, last season that opening was Sess, this season Sess is a full back. With the aggressive and speedy pressing that premier league teams do our game does not work due to the fact that we can’t keep the ball. If Bryan comes back then we have Sess in the preferred position, we also need a Macdonald type player who will hold the ball long enough for our offensive players to make themselves available to receive the ball in forward positions. Kamara will never be able to play in the system SJ is using now because he would be asked to run everything down up front and if the move broke down to sprint back to help our defence. He is also a liability at the back. Let’s get the right type of players in midfield to use Sess and AK just behind Mitro. I would give Johansen that task.

Sadly he says our Manager and his tactics are a little awry but also the main factor being recruitment of players. Every post on this site I have always said players with Premiership experience and Fulham at this time have not one single player with Premiership experience, with the exception of this season and that has I think you all agree not been a very good exopeince.
He’s not far wrong, but our additional problem is that we have a Board and a Manager who also lacks Premiership experience. The combination is lethal

We moan and groan about these players but today I feel sorry for them. We knew we were Not going to get much out of today’s game but how bad was the officials decisions for the first goal. Micheal Owen says the linesman guessed, the Ref didn’t see the moving ball. Gomes wrestling Mitro, a bookable offence according to commentators, Shaqiri diving a bookable offence. These decisions must have demoralised morale in the team. Rico superb, Cairney not right, Zambo gives ball away too much, good effort at times, not saying we would have one but the officials did not help.

I thought Anguissa played pretty well to be fair. Broke up the play as was required. Same for Chambers. I think the issue is not having an outball. I think Seri should have started instead of Cairney. He had more influence on the play in 15 minutes that Cairney had in the previous 75.

Anguissa breaks the play up, but he needs to do much much more. Passing the ball out is vital to starting our attack, we need players to think quicker...

Kicked in the teeth again, if our disallowed goal was offside (debatable) it doesnt allow Liverpool to take the freekick 10 yds from the incident and with a moving ball..makes you sick when the technology to get things right is available
Agree! Only criticism is our team stopped while Liverpool played ok, and score! Again that completely ruin the dynamic of the team, which was doing very well ... and now we are two down! I just hope we can keep it at two!

Let’s all be perfectly honest on here there is no way anyone expects us to get a result here . If at best Liverpool off day minimum 4-0 . However I hear he is now bringing back the clowns Chambers. Le Marchard oh my god SJ is totally gone. All of us surely know at least Ream and Odoi are far better yet still liable to make mistakes in this continual team change. Play the same back 4 for Christ’s sake we are crying out for sanity. To be honest no point anymore no one listens to us you can see that over past years. Bring in Steve Bruce
For better or worse ream and mowbray should be the central defenders.odoi is a better left back than marchand .today i think he might play as sweeper. Chambers should not be allowed an ffc shirt and guess serri has been sent for 6 of the best.

I said it before the biggest problem is confidence and how we can snapped out of that! Today's an opportunity. If we can pull off a miracle result and beat Liverpool, while most people would put that down to Liverpool's mid-week defeat, it will put our players on cloud 9. that's where we need to be for Slavisa's style of football to excel. Unless we make an immediate change of manager, we are unlikely to get any more than 10 points between now and May, and that’s being generous I’m not even sure that we haven’t already left it too late to survive. I reckon that there are only 2 managers that can save us, and one of them won’t leave Palace

The M6 Toll today revealed the horror that my wallet containing tomorrow’s tickets was not onboard our Liverpool bound vehicle. Several panic based calls to a closed Fulham box office, Ticket Master and Liverpool FC left me when with no option but to about turn and head back home to sunny Berkshire. Pillion wife was not best pleased as her only motivation for attending was shopping/dining and a twenty four hour break from young, demanding kids. Five hours later we limped back into Ascot. I have no idea why I’d expect you to feel my pain. Maybe it’s the Pinotage and horrndouly overcooked t-bone at the local eatery. Anyway, we are up and out at 0645 to join the faithful tomorrow for what will surely be the greatest Prem upset this season. I know, logic says a seven nil reversal. But I just got funny feelin’. C’mon Slav, I believe in you. Come on FFC players, this is YOUR moment.

What we are missing at the moment, is a bit of luck. Watching the Cardiff against Brighton game lunch time, I witnessed a terrible exhibition of Premier League football, and a winning goal by Cardiff that should have been ruled out for offside. From day one when we played Palace and had an obvious penalty turned down things seem to have turned against us match after match. What with that and injury upon injury, no wonder we are struggling for points at the moment. As yet we are not cut adrift, and if we can stay in touch at least until January, maybe, just maybe, will can pull of a great escape again. Don't forget we have to play Cardiff, Newcastle, Southampton, Huddersfield and Brighton at home as yet, so there are a likely 15 points there alone. COYW

Most likely we will get Mullard tomorrow, but still, i think we have a chink of a chance! Most top teams lose 1 or 2 games in a season to a team outside of the top 6. Yes i am probably talking, .alls yet there are basic reasons why teams like Liverpool lose 1 or 2 games to lesser sides, and probably won't win the premiership. In my mind, they should have wrapped up the game against Belgrade after beating them 4.0 in the first leg. The 2.0 lost was a shock, where did that come from? They scraped a workmanlike 1.0 win against Huddersfield before the loss against Belgrade. Liverpool are not in Blinding form at the moment. Hopefully, with an international break coming up, they play more or less the same team they lost to at Belgrade? Our Chances are still slim, but if we go with the theory that a team that plays in Europe on a Thursday, sometimes don't play on top form a few days later, very rare but sometimes happen that way. Yes' i know that i am clutching at straws a bit here, but we do have a slim chance on that theory. Fulham will need to defend stoutly to increase our chances, and we also could do with a bit of luck to pull this off. I am hoping that Sessegnon will play a lot further up the pitch and the likes of Mawson will take his chance. Goodness knows who Slavisa will slot in that jinxed left-back role? Whoever is in? ,and it is most likely Marchand, most of our squad owe it to Fulham a 110% effort! Seriously, there is an international break coming up after Liverpool, and this time now, is as good as any to come up with a first-class performance. If we play well and go down 1.0? I think we will accept a 1.0 loss, so long as we play better, and going on from Brighton, Watford, and Burnley, where we performed up to a really good level, we can take the fight to Liverpool. After all, we have nothing to lose now, no dignity, no pride, no fight? We lost all this up to now. It is about time that we go out into somebody's backyard, and take the fight to them. Fulham have not won away to Liverpool in years, but lets put those stats to one side tomorrow. Let us go to Anfield with a winning mentality, and shock the bookies and the World. WE CAN DO THIS! COME ON FULHAM!!!
Owen, did you stop taking the pills today? I think you're hallucinating.

Well in the end today's results were not the disaster that they were looking to be earlier in the afternoon, so all is not lost at the moment, but just how big is that game against Southampton going to be in our next home game. Obviously we will lose tomorrow, but we must try very hard to let in as few goals as possible. We don't want a 6 or 7 goals drubbing.

Do you know if Slavisa goes back to odoi and Ream at the back tomorrow, we’d have 11 nationalities in the starting 11 against Liverpool tomorrow!! I also make that some 8 different languages! That’s where our problem is! To bed a team in they need to have good communication and to create a good team spirit you need a few banters between players! I suspect we don’t have any of that. If we have any statisticians out there - when was the last time we had a team with 11 differ players nationalities starting and how did they do? We should be renamed to Fulham UN FC.
As none of us can make head nor tail of anything SJ says, all this is purely accademic

I remember watching a quirky film some years ago, by the name of 'Midnight Cowboy' A great actor by the name of Dustin Hoffman played a down and out character called 'Ratso' 'Don't call me Ratso'! he would say. Ratso was a liability sadly, but 'Rico' is not a liability. I take back some of what i said about our 'Duffers, Rico is the exception so far. If we get a surprising result against Liverpool who should trounce us 7.0? I might just pick out a few more of our lot for 'George cross medals. if we beat Liverpool. Rico gives a nice interview on Fulham TV, does anybody subscribe to that? 'Come on MST' lead the way! £4.49p, you can't even buy water for that in London now can you? Rico is a sound Goalkeeper and i think he is better than Bettonelli. He has fantastic reflexes and he rolls the ball out decently. Yes my heart is in my mouth but we always play like that. What Rico needs in front of him is a familiar back 4, and against Liverpool it will be like 'The Battle of Britain' With one small detail. Our troops will probably have post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I hope Slavisa grows some brains and puts Sessegnon upfront, because we need more in attack. It is about time Mawson especially comes back into the battle. It is his turn to get Mullard this time around. You never know folks, kick a dog enough times, and one day he might bite back! 'COME ON RICO~RITZO' COME ON FULHAM!!!!!

Been having a bit of banter with Geezer below so thought we could continue the debate further up the board as we seem to have done "woe is Fulham" to death ;0).

Geezer, you are quite right that there are a lot of impatient car drivers on the road however, I think you are in the minority of lorry drivers if, as you write, you drive with your brain not your foot and you are courteous to other road users.

I too drive around 40,000 miles per annum for my job (albeit in a much smaller vehicle than yours) but in my experience there are few major accidents on our motorways that do not involve commercial vehicle (Lorries, vans, etc.). I believe that this is the "job and finish" mentality that makes a lot of these people drive without a care for other road users and just try to get from A to B as quickly as possible so they can "clock off" 10 minutes early.

How many times have we seen lorry drivers indicate and go for it forcing another vehicle into another lane nearly causing an accident? How many times do we see one vehicle governed at 60mph trying to overtake another vehicle governed at 60mph and taking three weeks to do it? How many lorry drivers keep to tachograph rules and take breaks when the should for the length of time that they should - I know about this as I hold a CPC (certificate of professional competence) in road haulage.

Bringing it back to agriculture, I have lived in the Forest of Dean for 21 years. Before that I lived in South Gloucestershire for 18 months and before that Hampshire for 13 years so forgive me but I think I know and understand rural life a just little more than you might ;0).

I think you completely missed my point that THREE PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES thanks to a tractor driving at low speed with no lights on a dual carriageway (A417/419 at Blunsdon - Google it). In my opinion all slow moving vehicles should be under the same rules on dual carriageways as they are on motorways and the minimum speed should be 40MPH. That would remove agricultural vehicles, diggers, moped riders and cyclists, etc. from very fast roads and make them much safer for everyone.

Just for fun; if I had my way I'd make it illegal for lorry drivers to overtake on dual carriageways as well ;0).

Soap box put away until next debate ;0).

You forgot about speeding cars with a caravan! I am sure they are governed by some speed but you either see one doing 50mph or one doing 80 - neither are acceptable. I don’t have any statistics on accidents involving caravan, relative to the number on the road but I suspect quite high. I tend to stay away from them like I’d stay away from a big lorry!

Rules for caravans (and any trailer come to that) are 50mph on dual carriageways and 60mph on motorways and they are not allowed in the outside lane.

Cheers for MST. Could go on about it. Lorry drivers are govern by driving hours. No more than ninety hours a fortnight. You can do fifty the first week but down to forty the second week. There are not so many lorries on the road now with tacho cards. Its all digi cards now. And that the ministry can back down load the cards for quite a long way. Also they can down load the card by just driving past the lorry. [ blue tooth] And if you have a bad crash they can check everything. How you have been braking/ pulling away speed/ over speeding especially down hills if you do it to often the can revoke you brief. They can also go to your job and check your hours to what wages you earn. to see if they tally up. The speed limit for lorries from seven and half ton to forty four tonners is eighty five clicks even down hills Thats why you see lorries brakes coming on down hills. And the speed for towing is sixty and thats towing any thing and because you can only do sixty you can not tow in the outside lane.

PS if hgv / coach drivers get caught driving there cars wrong and when they check you brief and find it out. we get done a lot more than others drivers do. They now class us as the same as police drivers. Professional drivers

MST written by the typical non lorry driving person you are. yes not all truckers are courteous, but car drivers are far from angels when it comes to causing crashes. Many you will find are often caused by car drivers leaving it till the 200 yard marker before departing lane 3 for the slip road. I once had in 1 90 mile motorway journey 5 incidents of cars carving across the front of me while standing on the brakes trying to get off.

Now I think most in the know would say he certainly culd do a btter job than those who have already plaued in midfield this season but it looks like he will not be given the opportunity..

I don't suppose it ever entered Stirlings mind to say to the ref " no penalty I tripped over my feet" - so that makes him as much of a cheat as all those. Divers !
Sorry John but don't be daft; the referee is not going to change his mind anyway. Think of all the people that had bets on a penalty, a goals scored at that time, goal scorer, etc., etc.

No player admits liability and have you ever seen a defender go up to the ref and say I fouled Stirling on that occasion ref and you should give a penalty after Stirling had been booked for diving for example.

It made zero difference to the result and I certainly wouldn't want one of Fulham's players to start those kind of antics. Stirling got straight up, he didn't call for a pen so it all down to the ref and the linesman in my opinion....

Apart from the Fulham ball boys the most useless people on or around the pitch are the officials standing behind the goal!! What do they do? Just admiring the goalies bottom or want the best view on the pitch! Hopeless!! I can see more players doing exactly what sterling did - I can’t score let’s kick the ground and tumble over for a penalty! Its not a dive!

The betting industry not Stirling’s concern at that moment in time but think common sense should prevail and someone get the refs attention for this one so obvious !! Even the players were laughing in disbelief
posted by Len (Guest) - Friday 09th November 2018, 6:55 AM
You're right Len but it IS the referees if he gives a penalty and then rescinds it based upon the word of a player - can you imagine the furor and the accusations that would fly around? The ref's career would be over.

The ref made a mistake, Sterling didn't deliberately cheat, it didn't affect the outcome of the game or the result so put it down to experience in my opinion.

If we have an accident in our cars and admit liability, our insurance wouldn't pay out so silence is the best policy :0).

What role does he play? Anguissa’s main role in the OM team was to provide a screen in midfield for the defence alongside the more experienced Luis Gustavo. The pair would occupy the central midfield in a 4-2-3-1 formation, and link up with more advanced creative types like Dimitri Payet and Florian Thauvin. Where Gustavo provides experience, Anguissa provides energy. He isn’t afraid to get stuck in and tackle players, and his intelligent positioning allows him to cut out opposition passes with ease. With his impressive size and power, his defensive output is high – and he wins a high proportion of the duels he goes into.

SJ had to have known about the illegal dealings as he was the recipient of the end result. Do the rumors Cairney wouldn't play, reported on here, now make more sense? Or why O'Reilly isn't selected as part of the squad despite his demonstrated ability in junior competitions? Why is Ryan Sessegnon played at left back despite the watching world calling this a gross waste of talent? To keep his internal value down to the eighteen million cap mentioned by Kline if Fulham hadn't been promoted last season? He was realistically valued at thirty-eight million so what was the destination for the twenty mill difference? SJ is now just a time-server, waiting for the axe to fall. He's carrying the can for poor decisions and malfesance by others, particularly McIntosh and Khan junior. What experienced manager credentialled at the PL level would want to be associated with such a murky and fraudulent shambles?

I believe what ever we did this season Jokanovic was unsure about signing a new contract because at some stag he wants to go back to Spain with his family And Scot Parker was brought back to learn and become our next Manager
My son and I had the pleasure of chatting to Scott Parker at Fulham function a couple of years ago. He came across as a very pleasant, approachable and likeable man. He also appeared to have a fair amount of calm common sense. That said I really feel his contribution to FFC is seriously over estimated by some. If he has been responsible for our defence this season then I really don’t think that marks him out as a manager. Maybe in the future, but surely not now.
posted by Mortlake (Guest) - Thursday 08th November 2018, 9:42 AM
This is not the Time for Scott Parker. When Tigana and Hodgson left they were handing over a established team in the Premiership to less experienced mananagers. Coleman and Hughes had time just keep doing what they had been doing at the club , picking the same players in the past and grow into the job. But if we change Manager we need someone with experience and a plan of how to fix this problem. Someone who is defiantly better than SJ. Instead of spending money on more players players spend it on a top , top manager and pay him what ever to sort out this problem. Someone like Conte, Bosz or Montella

There are some good British managers working in the lower leagues who don't have to rely on millions to motivate their teams. Our scouts would be better employed looking at them, than going for foreign managers who don't know English football, or come for the money, not a pride in their club.

Seriously worried at the moment can’t see through this problem we have defensively and in midfield don’t see a change of personal the answer until we get a defence formation sorted we’ve had it think it’s time to get Mawson in and get a partner for him in the middle get sess away from left back as much as I like him at the moment and in that position his value is worse than the pound !!! Let’s hope we are still in touch next market and we need four players in our defensive ranks preferably prem or better class championship to steer us through and hopefully survive and take it from there if nothing else they will put us in good stead for next year because if we go down it’s going to be hard

The following tweets are directly relevant to accusations made on a twitter account by Craig Kline against Fulham Football Club and are posted here for information only. I make no claim as to their accuracy or veracity..................Dramatis Personae..... Mrpringle = Shahid Khan, Mrteflon + Alistair McIntosh, Mrpepperboat = Bill Salthouse from agents USM................................... The fraud I witnessed was extensive. MrTeflon used fraud to move money to help MrPringle deals. Small fraud was at the academy level, agents not allowed to receive standard agent fees on deals for minors, so disguised as consulting fee. Cash, jobs, fake jobs, housing, etc.............1st team fraud much bigger. Agents, whether technically repping player or not, would use cash payments to players' families to gain control of deal. Tapping up essential for this scheme. Agents or non-agent Barry Hughes types would say 'don't go to club, go through me.'..............Agents would then push deals w buying club spending more than selling club receives- all crooks involved split surplus. Ross deal was fraud. Chrissy, Ryan, Tom, Tayo, Fredo, Emo and more- all fraud. Pepperboat usually, Hughes too. Blocked fraud deals like Glenn Murray and Gyan............Pepperboat also demanded 2m to get Ryan resigned, threatened Tom would sit out if not agreed. Teflon got Pepperboat the 2m thru Tom deal, Pepperboat involved Toms dad. Deal done March 17, fraudulently dated July 1 '17' both players w other agents until June 30: then to Pepperboat.............Fraud included deals for Ryan Sessegnon, Tom Cairney, Ryan Fredericks, Oliver Norwood, Tayo Edun, Dennis Adeniran, Chris Martin, Ross McCormack, Stephen Humphries, Emerson Hyndman, Michael Madl, Zakaria Labyad, more. Glenn Murray and Asamoah Gyan deals blocked due to fraud...............There's lots more on te overall situation but the above details accusations levied against FFC.
Interesting and we all know that this kind of thing is going on at every professional club and exactly the reason most of us don't want Allerdyce at the helm of our club. It does not surprise me at all to be honest.

Personally, I believe that most (if not all) of this is pretty much factual and if so we could face fines of millions!! Didn't Manchester City have to pay a fine of £49m for something very similar to this that also involved sponsors and now UEFA are looking for more?

If this gets investigated thoroughly, I would be very surprised if there was smoke without fire and as you write, it is very unusual for an lawyer to be so specific in such a public forum.

Seems like footballs now rotten to the core, perhaps it'll be good for teams like us if the European Super League forms and all the excessively greedy beggars clear off so that we might get our national game back in a form we can enjoy again. Personally the changes that have been made to the former European knock out tournaments leave me bored rigid, I watched the snooker last night rather than Man Utd or City in the champions league. And as for bringing Rooney back for a pat on the back from England... won't watch that either, he's been more than rewarded for his career. I suppose some people will blame us for crushing the maximum wage and giving the Great Johnny Haynes £100 per week, I think that was something like 8 times the national wage then. What are they paid now? That's the biggest disgrace, the government have preached about inflation for years yet have let football run amok.Lets be fair it's not as important as it's become by any means...Should be fun, unfortunately it's not anymore.

In a nutshell, he's saying the Khans are bent on a global scale; Cairney, Sessegnon and others are knowingly colluding with and benefitting from illegal schemes; that McIntosh and agents USM are in cahoots to launder money for financing backhanders, that USM have a big say in team selection and the SJ is aware of all this and is complicit. Make sense now?

I think you've nailed it Arizonian.Everyone knows that the top youth player signed for another agency (not ours) insteand of USM and all in the business confirmed what you say..plus there appear to be people high in the academy as well as those named who are complicit in these dealings..Hence why I think the young player will have to leave so he can get first team football..I've heard some of the senior coaches in first team and academey expected him to be in squad and cant understand the logic of others ahead of him..v sad as he's Fulham since a small kid.

Yes he was acked but spent 7 years in the 'Firm'I think most people in the industry know there is a lot of substance and while the guy is slightly mad..he's a qualified lawyer who knows the risks of what he is doing..and if you read the timelines and detail most of that is known to be true...

I don't know the ins and outs about this kind of thing going on, but Everton are caught up in something like this documented on Sky TV. I caught the back end of it all, so i can't comment further. Apparently, in the old brian Clouth days, the Mums and Dads were given gifts in the form of washing machines etc. The young lad would then sign on the dotted line knowing his parents were taken care of. Some people might say, there is a huge difference between receiving gifts like washing machines compared to huge sums of money? Depends how you look at it? Biblically, a small crime involving 2 pence, is the same as a big one involving big bucks. A lot of clubs do this kind of stuff to get the best young players in their eyes to sign on the dotted line. Derby will probably end up signing half the Chelsea youths because of Frank Lampard. The truth of the matter is, with all these foreign managers over here now, they tend to buy mostly from the continent
