Jack Grealish!!! After that magic play-off final, we should have had him. 30 mill offer might have tempted Villa. Great player with flair and determination. A midfield marauding Grealish is miles better than any of our 100 mill recruits and would have linked up with Tom Cairney and a great asset scoring goals. 2 = Lewis Grabban!!! 17 Goals folks!!! 17goals!!! Are we thick or what!!! I know 17 goals in the Championships will not be the same i prem. I will be a bit conservative and say he will have gotten 8 goals ahead of Mitrovic in the prem. Play Grabban ahead of Mitrovic might have put us up nearer to 25 points+... Last but not least, wait for it'''' Mario Balotelli!!! Hated and not one to put your trust in, but certainly worth a shout. Mario no doubt has a touch of class and no doubt was worth the gamble. Release from Nice to Marseille. Check him out if in doubt? check him out! 5 Goals in 8 games leaving Marseille 4th in the table on 47 points. A far cry from our pitiful fall from grace and a miserly 17 points leading us back to the Championships!!! Yes Balotelli is boastful, and a Poser, but he is quality when he puts his mind to it. Check out his goals which he uploads to his instagram, who cares!!! Jack Grealish, Lewis Grabban, and the ever so boastful Mario Balotelli might have saved our season. Considering the load of rubbish we recruited, these 3 might have kept us up. Balotelli was looking for a way back into the prem by the way, and we could have got him on the cheap. And certainly disposable and gotten rid of after this season...
Just like to add that defensive players and duties is a waste of energy in my opinion. Our defence has always been leaky, what's new? There is no bite in our attack going forward whatsoever. Maybe we are piling unnecessary pressure on our back 4 far too long. Get back to what we do best back in the Championships, and that is our surge forward. Our defence will then settle down and not be so nervous! If we manage to hold on to Sess Mitro, and Cairney, we will be lucky. I doubt we will be able to keep these guys...

Will Scotty get beamed up before the Wrath of Khan? Having witnessed beauty turned into the beast in no time at all, I just wonder what our future is? Clueless, hopeless owners! EVEN!! If they are lovely people, they know absolutely nothing about football. It appears, take advice from people who know nothing about football! The only common ground is, the owners and advisers know how to make money. We, the supporters, pay and hope to watch good football and if that brings success, then great. BUT, good football is played by good footballers.
I CONTINUE! They in turn, need good management and that management need support from the owners. How can our owners rejoice and benefit from such a great season and we narrowly missed out, the previous season, from the efforts of SJ then after 12 games sack him? He was dealt £100M of you know what, did not have a defence or proper team available due to injuries. We are doomed!! Scotty needs beaming up and the Khans should keep out of football!

Must be going a bit dopey in my old age, felt gutted that Millwall were knocked out by Brighton !
Brighton came back from the dead to beat Brighton, and thank goodness for that, as at least when Brighton play Man City it will be two Premier League sides battling it out to go through. Although like everybody else I can't see beyond a Man City win at Wembley, and the result might be reasonably close, but can you imagine what the score would have been if City had played Millwall. It could have become an embarrassing score line, like when they played Burton, and nobody wants to see that kind of game in a semi-final. It looks like a City v Wolves final is now on the cards.

Oooops, Brighton did not beat themselves, although they almost did ! !

Maybe Millwall would have struggled but nothing in football is quite that definite. Hopefully we haven’t come to the point where the smaller clubs need to apologise for occupying the same pitch as these global franchises. An elite bunch of untouchables that are both running and ruining our game. City were very fortunate to get past Swansea who are also a Championship side. Unfortunately dubious refereeing and a blatant act of cheating saw them through. Sorry using the term cheating is not very P C Gamesmanship is the latest acceptable word for a dive that would have struggled to dupe my 4 year old granddaughter. Personally I am hoping for a Brighton v Wolves or Watford final. Anything to break up the dreadful stranglehold these clubs have over our once competitive game.

Didn't the lads do well against the Top of the Division Liverpool team. What has happened to Mitrovic, he has not scored for a while now? Sergio Rico says he wants to play in the Premiership next season, well I certainly hope he does, as I believe his handling has cost us three games - 9 points this season. Joe Bryan certainly had a good game against Mo Salah and we seemed more disiplined. But sadly same old story not seeing games out, how many games have we lost in the last 10 minutes this season? I think that Scott Parker is a better choice over Mr Ranieri, but who has heard of him outside England, but after this season maybe it would be better to have a team of players from the home countries.
Mitro could do with more service up front living on scraps at the moment ( think he’s still scored 10 not bad all things considered !!!
posted by Len (Guest) - Monday 18th March 2019, 5:41 PM
Rico will need to learn how to catch the ball and keep it if he wants to stay playing in the Premier league. He was getting stick for punching the ball away (often ineffectively), so now it seems he has been told to catch it - but no-one has taught him how to do it!

So assuming we are going down !!! we will have dosh to buy,as i expect mitro and sess, poss cairney to go, so we can start building from the back,a keeper Pope from burnley anyone?, with betts so 2 good keepers young keepers as well, a class hard man to go with mawson , must persevere with him for another season I think. Send loans back , take stock on players left, get in new manager fast, if required!!!! then get some new blood in hopefully before the first week of open window ends in july so time to gel, please no more buying last day of august plain daft ,that's what has done us up or helped If serri don't want to fight in championship dump him also, bit more dosh.
Joe Hart, Che Evans, Charlie Austin, Jarrod Bowen, Benrahmi, sell Sess to Spurs, get him back on loan for a season with Walker Peters coming the other way as well.

OK chaps, could you give one reason why any of those mentioned would want to come to Fulham and what style of play they would fit in? What would be their motivation?
posted by The Arizonan - Monday 18th March 2019, 2:16 PM
5 games ago when our fate was sealed i would have like us to drop all loan players and those whose contracts stipulates they will not play in the championship , and then bring in the kids to give them big time experience . Problem with that would be hefty fine or maybe worse from FA for fielding " weak " team and the wreath of the clubs we had to play who are either fighting for top places or to avoid possible relegation .
posted by davidk (Guest) - Monday 18th March 2019, 2:19 PM
Joe Hart cant get a game anywhere, Che Evans is mid table with Birmingham, Charlie Austin not in Southampton plans and championship now his level, jarrod bowen and benrahmi ripping up the championship at teams never gonna get promoted and Walker Peters needs 1st team football and has trippier and aurier in front of him. Plus add to all of that fulham are an attractive club to play for, London based, will pay good wages and great training facilities.
posted by Adam (Guest) - Monday 18th March 2019, 2:36 PM
Well, we probably couldn't field a team weaker than the current lot. Playing the kiddos in the current set-up risks causing them to fail, with detrimental effects going forward. By all means throw them in on seventy minutes but don't, in consquence, throw them under the bus. They're youngsters learning their trade, not miracle workers or cannon fodder.

Cairney threw the towel in a long time back. He's not comfortable in the team and, it seems, in his own ability at this level. He has a confidence issue and has carried that all season. His captaincy is another burden for him to bear, a role for which he's not well suited given what he has to work with.

I wonder if we have ever had a goalkeeper as bad as Rico for catching the ball. Yes I thought that yesterday's penalty was very harsh, but what was he doing giving the referee even a slight chance of awarding Liverpool their life saver. He should have caught the damn ball in the first place. As we are now 100% certain to be relegated, I would not play this idiot of a keeper again this season. He is even worse than Button, and that's saying something. Oh how we miss Betts. Rico has cost us at least 5 points against both West Ham and now the Pool, and it's time to go now.
To be fair AC, it was a soft penalty? I didn't think Richo blatantly bring down Mane. Mane felt contact and went down too easily. Richo saved excellently from Van Dyke. There is a lot going on in our penalty box and upfront, not so much going on. It all balances out if we can score goals which we don't in my opinion...

RICO fault at Southampton as well should of been beaten and near post v Man U can’t catch the ball and punching is a joke no clue where it’s going made some good saves but error always near as he’s on loan and gone end of season even if as bad better to play Fabri to find what he’s like could be stuck with him and if he plays well could get some of our money back

There couldn't have been a single person either at the match or aTV viewer who when we equalised thought that we would earn a point. The better sides always seem to conjure up a late goal to get out of trouble whilst we do just the opposite and as sure as night follows day will offer them a gift - know we area friendly club but !!!!!!!

Not sure why we haven't been able to trust British keepers when we've been in the premier league, mark crossley, is one of them but for some reason rather than Maik Taylor (van der sar fair enough), David Stockdale (steklenberg), betts we seem to want to play a spanish kid that is still learning rather than choose from a pool or British keepers. Rico has done well but has made mistakes. not sure we would have picked up any less points with an inexperienced british goalkeeper (i know betts has had injury issues this season). btw what a keeper neil etheridge has turned into!
posted by Pez (Guest) - Monday 18th March 2019, 2:08 PM
I must agree. Rico cannot catch the ball. When the ball is coming over from the wing he is on his heels. Call up the kid Rodak ASAP. Also, the midfielders must get back and defend. The opposition know that they can flood the Fulham penalty area with players. Additionally, oppostion players on the wing have WAY TOO MUCH time to cross the ball. Again, why use four midfielders if they will not retreat and defend?

I have been saying this in previous posts. Our over rated centre firward has been carried all season. Fulham have been playing with 10 med n. O in most of their games. He does not press or chase for the ball. He is clearly too lazy for modern day football. Yes he has scored a few times this season, but he has failed his team mates. McDonald could have done a better job at centre forward and worked harder. Anyway well done to all the others who have tried their best.
Not been at his best last few games lack of pace a worry but carrying him all season very harsh works hard up front on own
posted by Badger (Guest) - Monday 18th March 2019, 8:32 AM
So last season Mitro was the greatest thing since sliced bread, and now according to you, the breads gone stale. What absolute rubbish. Even Sane wouldn't be able to score goals with little or no support up front. Mitro has scored 10 goals y=-this season, and that is remarkable in this set up, and whatever we do next season, we must not let him go, as he will be a real handful, for any Championship defence, and without him we could be in real trouble up front.
posted by Brain Jarvis (Guest) - Monday 18th March 2019, 9:48 AM
I have argued these points about Mitro all season. Fair enough, he is the hold-up man,he is up-front on his own, no pace, etc, etc. The cheap option was to keep hold of Kamara? Parker doesn't like Kamara, and most fans don't like him. Jan window has come and gone. We should have solved that problem and get a pace-man in, but we messed up yet again! We take in another player Markovic with an injury. Every week we are trying to get the ball up to Mitrovic and Mitrovic is trying his best to turn and shoot. We've tried Sessegnon on left and right to service balls in. Christie, a waste of time. Vietto miss-a-lot. Babel is our bestest buy, but at age 34, is sometimes on it and other times not so on it, age taken into account. I would love Mitro to stay in Championships but i doubt he will. Ours i a sad state of affairs. Even old man Defoe would have been good for 4 or 5 goals but we didn't even inquire or show interest. We get what we deserve and we are where we are because we have Numpty's running our club...
posted by OWEN (Guest) - Monday 18th March 2019, 10:22 AM
His dip in form has been since Jokanovic moved on. I imagine having a manager that spoke your language, was probably a bit of a father figure means a lot, then he gets lumbered with Ranieri who didnt know how to get anything out of him probably didnt make him feel as important as he was and the lack of service has to be a major factor!! I think he will leave in the summer, we should get at least £30m for him but will probably let him go on loan or something stupid like that. Let him go an bring in Che Evans from Birmingham and Charlie Austin from Southampton.
posted by Adam (Guest) - Monday 18th March 2019, 10:26 AM
Mitro and Babel would do well in tandem if they only got some, any, service. They don't. Anguissa, Seri, McDonald, Vietto all missing in action every game and that's one of the main problems and a heavy burden Mitrovic has to bear. As Adam pointed out, losing his friend and mentor under dubious circumstances definitely hasn't helped.
posted by The Arizonan - Monday 18th March 2019, 3:30 PM
The worry over Charlie Austin is his fitness? We don't need any more propping up the injury list. Even though i have some doubts about the pace of Mitrovic, he does play week in and week out. Will Charlie Austin give us that???
posted by OWEN (Guest) - Monday 18th March 2019, 4:29 PM
Saha played lone striker in championship and premier league probably a bit unfair but no comparison to Mitro Saha went on to win the World Cup and banked around 10million for Fulham before picking up premier league titles and champions league doubt Mitro could touch him
posted by Mike (Guest) - Monday 18th March 2019, 7:11 PM
Saha was an excellent player, so was Pele, but we don't have either. We do have Mitrovic and I really hope we can keep him. Who else? Rico, despite his catching ability. We need three keepers; Betts, Rico and Rodak. Mawson and Chambers if we can hold on to him. Bryan, Odoi, McDonald, Cairney, Babel and Sess (if we can). Christie probably and we've not seen enough of Marcovic (has he played at all?) or Nordheit but both come recommended by Mitro and Brede Hangeland respectively so must be worth a go. The rest are either too weak, too slow or too lazy. Sadly, I think Tim Ream has come to the end of the road after his back injury. Bring StefJo home and that gives thirteen starters plus a couple of the youngsters to make the fifteen man squad. I'm working from memory so maybe I've missed some obvious talent out but with some judicious signings (we can only hope) and a manageer who's got more clout we should be able to stabilize and start to rebuild. The main problems remain off the pitch however and could easily nullify all and any good work from the above.
posted by The Arizonan - Monday 18th March 2019, 11:37 PM
Why slag off Mitrovic, from what I see, he is not getting the service when the midfield is bogged down in helping the defence and when there is a breakaway Mitrovic is on his own. Not easy with the the team very low on confidence.

I’m going to go back and look at our matches and see how many times we were leading or tied between 46 and 75 minutes, and how many points we dropped. It has to be about 10 points, probably more. That’s what has made it so painful — a lot of these matches could have gone differently, if not for individual errors (Rico today). We didn’t have the stamina or mental strength to dig in and see matches out. We got timid, rather than looking to add to a lead. Same old, same old. Like a season from the Twilight Zone.
Its so true and obvious what you write but what is it at motspur park that causes this odd behaviour?

I didn't think we played that bad but saying that it wasn't brilliant. Most teams get opportunities and give opportunities in the prem. We are famous for conceding goals at an alarming rate, but we know our Achilles heel is our defence. We have never changed that weakness. Nobody says much on what is happening up front? Apart from a Liverpool mistake which saw Babel score our goal, we don't penetrate or create much. Mitrovic is always tied up and rarely loses his marker, and he rarely gets criticized. That is why i don't lay into Richo or our defence every week, no point! We don't create and score enough goals to take the heat off our guys at the back. Our whole team is disjointed...

I seem to be in isolation, but I thought that we played pretty well today, against the team that could probably be this season's title winners, and the result was a little unfair, but we always find a way to lose. Today's result was down to that useless object between the sticks Rico, and to think that we have to put up with him for the rest of the season. He is worth a goal start to the opposition. Poor old Mitro is struggling, although he hardly finds a ball to run on to, and he lacks speed for the Premier League, but he will be our shining light again next season, with bags of goals again. I'm not sure about Scotty, but are last two home defeats have been close against top class teams, and today was another case in point. He has instilled some fighting spirit into the side, and the delightful football that we came up with, is starting to appear again, so we will have to see what the rest of the season will bring. It's all doom and gloom results wise at the moment, but a year hence could see us back in the Premier League again, with a far better team.

Malden Mick we both wrote our views at the same time and i agree about our leaky defence, but it is nothing new. Mitrovic i don't think he will stay? If he does? it will be the same in the Championships. Mitro has no pace which we lack and for all the wrongs at the back, we don't create enough chances up front and the few opportunities we squander. Back in the Championships, i don't think we will dominate it. Fulham need to rebuild this team and i don't think we will do that successfully under the Khans...

Liverpool coasted the first half, but we certainly pressured them more in the 2nd. But class wins out in the end. The huge gulf was in attack, we had to make do with a freak goal, and rarely troubled the Liverpool defence around their goal. Mitro cut a lonely and exasperated figure for much of the game.

Not sure how we lost that game, we have not been able to turn these defeats into draws. I spend every game hoping it’s 0-0 until the last minutes so we can nick a winner and not concede. If we score first we lose, if we concede first we lose, play well we lose, opposition play badly they win
We lose because we make the inevitable mistakes. Saying this, we are not creating enough chances up at the other end. We could have bought Sessegnon into play sooner. It wasn't our worst game and at times we didn't look a million miles from Liverpool. We need more danger beyond Mitrovic and that is so obvious. Maybe it was time to introduce a youngster from our reserve squad? After Man City, we might as well bring in a few youngsters, our time in this prem is nearly up now. Bye' Bye Parker, it was nice but not too nice while it lasted. Bring in Marcelo Belisia if Leeds blow it. Or someone like him with a football 'Brain'...

Look i am so sorry to shatter everyone's illusions but Sessengnon apart from a few odds and ends at important moments is no game changer. A good player though and Fulham through and through yes.

I remember when Raheen Sterling was basically crap. A change of team worked wonders as it probably will for Sessegnon. We're runing his prospects to develop further and he's going backwards.

Irrespective of who the manager is they would struggle with this squad and the current board. How can any club expect to get someone experienced in when they don’t allow him to pick what players he wants and who refuse to let him play some of our youngsters. The job is a poison chalice. Khan junior must resign from the recruitment department. A new person doing this job is just as important as new players. Bielsa would last five minutes with this mob in charge. A new manager would have his own preferred head of recruitment, someone who knows his style of play and what type of players he needs. Simple solution is Staring us in the face. Please resign TK and sit back and learn.

Some good points Gaz, and we won't know yet who stays and who goes? We will be starting all over and i am guessing that Mitro, Sess, Cairney, will be gone, so a new manager will be starting and building from scratch. We are in a mess to go down next season, and it will be a struggle to get that same team spirit and football again that got us up. With the Khans still there picking the team, we are stuffed!!!

It makes no difference what Fulham do relegated anyway but really we are set to drop another division. Another mistake Rico patting the ball and then a foul. It is humiliating and I said six games back we will not get another point. Moreover until the Khans dissspear get used to so much more implosion at the club.

I really can't believe we are putting out this team. We are sacrificial lambs to the all conquering Liverpool team, and we will probably be at least 3 down by half time. I agree that we should be fielding some younger members of our squad, so have our coaches and Manager learnt nothing. Come on Scott, you must be more adventurous than this shocking squad.

I am not a big Scott Parker fan, and i think he has his views on who is Fulham and not for Fulham. That is all i am saying about that one. We need to back him now while he is at the helm and in charge. It looks like Rico,Mensah, Chambers, Ream, Bryan, Seri, Cairney, Anguissa, Ayite, Mitrovic, Babel. Would like to have seen Sessegnon from the start. Apart from that, Ream looks like he is finding his feet. Chambers is a starter because of improvement. I remember him giving away games with many mistakes and we all wanted him gone? We persevered with Chambers. Seri has something if he puts his mind to it, we all know that. Anguissa really needs to man up and step up, arguably should have been left out. I like Aite in and maybe Kabano could have been included for pace, but we will see. Maybe youngsters will put in a show when we are mathematically relegated??? We need to support Parker until!!! COME ON FULHAM!!!!

Sadly but surely this game will end in another disaster. No longer have the stomach to watch, good times or bad a true fan and all that nonsense. Parker is really not the man, his heart’s in the right place but like Symons we really DO NEED a decent manager, coach or whatever he is going to be known as. We are just going through the motions now that will totally destroy us next season but then we have been there before and back!! but no, this time the hole will be a lot deeper.

It would not be very diplomatic to ask the people again if they wanted the Brexit now they have more details but it is diplomatic to ask the MPs again if they wants her deal having been rejected twice? The argument against people’s vote was if there was a narrow remain win, should we try for third time. So if Mays deal is passed next week - should someone put forward another motion to vote again?! My point is politicians are using democracy as a convenience for their agenda! Let’s ask people what they want!!! P.s. sorry I can’t bring myself to write anything positive or interesting about today’s match!! I will watch and cheer Fulham but the current situation is as depressing as the Brexit saga!

It just shows you how stupid our season as become, when I was cheering on a West Ham win, just so that we wouldn't be bottom of the table tonight. It is much more exiting following the results of the Championship, as that is a league that is far more competitive. Hopefully this time next season, we will be either in the top two, or at least challenging in a play off place. I hoping that Leeds get promoted, as they could be our hardest opponents next season, if they don't go up.

It’s been a really poor season some really disappointing signings really poor reactions from our so called premier league class players and we haven’t delivered as a team, watched wolves tonight who like most thought we were on a par with,we’re now years apart so stop complaining let’s get our ground sorted get a promotion push together and get behind the owners, could be worse could be Bolton!

I agree with Mike, we are now so far behind Wolves that it really hurts. I thought that they would struggle to stay up, and that we would be in a comfortable position in the table, but a complete reversal has transpired, and we have been faced with a really terrible and completely embarrassing season and what is more humiliating is that we will be officially relegated in early April, or maybe even before, and we have not even given ourselves a chance to be involved in a relegation fight. Heads must roll, are you listening Tony ?

To break it down to the juicy bits, Parker is saying, 'If we play the way we want to play, we can cause an upset and we get points''' Parker does stress that Liverpool are deadly and top class'' This is normal stuff from a interim stand in manager, and i wouldn't expect him to be downbeat and defeatist about our chances. There is a need to get behind our guys even though we look busted. Until it is mathematically impossible, i say we gee them up. He played the whole of Newcastle game with it..they had 4 (I cant see the 5th) first teamers and he was immense..and btw so was Opuko...our squad was 17-20 years old.Gutted we lost but v proud of the football Class Game: LUFC in peace..just watched a classic game tonite..We won but have to say you guys were abest team we have played..and we had 4 first teamers.. Could have nicked it in the 90th minute if keeper hadnt stopped your 8..BTW we were saying he's the best midfielder we've seen here all season from away teams..a class act..I would take O'Reilly if he wants possible premier football next season..Real class was when your guy missed last penalty he ran over to console him..Our crowd were massive..Shame one had to lose but prefer it was you not us! -- Bielsa Bob, Friday, March 15

Everyone has an opinion but cant understand this one..as we follow him we have pretty good view of every match and I personally rate him better than any youngster produced in this academey) FYI in 22 PL2 and Cup games he has 7 goals 9 assists which for a team at the bottom is exceptional. And the reason FFC are at the bottom is they have a small and actually not very good squad which maes the figures all the more impressive. He also has over 60 chances created and averages 3-4 key passes a game..that's the best of any midfielder in PL2 and if FFC could convert at the right rate his assists would be nearer 15-18.We have covered every game and as an 18 year old I would not expect him to be the best on the pitch all the time and also would expect a few bad ones. This season we've seen one bad game (Villa where both teams were diabolical). However in at least 7 games he's been our clear MOTM (Yesterday Man U away Norwich away Colchester x 2 Wolves x 2 ) and in top 23 in 80%. His own coaches think he is by far the most consistent and effective we have. Common knowledge from the academy say he's ready for first team and most think he suits higher level than lower:hence no loans. So while you have an opinion most others I know would disagree. BTW Last night FFC played a Leeds team who were much older and had 5 first teamers drafted in. He made Izzy Brown (remember him?) look average and at the end of the match had 2 players man marking. To see him being applauded by their coaches says enough about a guy who also I believe has been out injured for 2 weeks and was only back in training the day before..

From what I’ve seen of him and what I read on here is a lot of your average punters don’t know what to think of him He doesn’t play like any other midfielders and I’m not sure he fits into England’s set up If you look at all the teams we don’t have a truly creative player in the middle and now we play another safe player in Rice Sherwood made a great comment about him in he said he knows his own limitations and knows when to give the ball to players who can do stuff with it!! O’Riley is more like a Busqets or Pirlo with a bit more of a forward attacking style I heard that Our academy head coach sees him as a champions league level player which means he’s lost on half of our supporters as the players next to him aren’t that good Re England Cody call up is good for the lad and he has potential but is woeful in regard to vision and deliverance Excellent defending and fast I can think of 10 other wing backs better than steve sessegnon born in 2000 and I know O’ Is better than at least 3 of the ones called up in midfield (and rich is right that Oli Skipp isn’t there either) Look at Leeds wing back and also Norwich both regulars and classy so nothing to do with talent but more preference U21 is when it starts to matter imo

Dear David Help needed: Sunday from 1.15pm for approx half an hour Thank you to all members who have completed the 2019 Fans' Survey - we have had close to 1500 replies in the first two days, but we want to make sure as many Fulham fans take part as possible. If you haven't yet done so, it will only take around 10 minutes of your time, and the survey can be accessed here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/FSTWEBSURVEY While we have been promoting the survey via social media, we also want to make sure Fulham fans who will be at Craven Cottage for Sunday's game against Liverpool are also aware of the survey and get the chance to take part, before it closes next week (Wednesday 20 March). So we need your help on Sunday. Firstly, talk to your friends, families and others you go to the game with and persuade them to go to our website and take part in the survey. Second, if you are able to be around ahead of kick off - from around 1.15pm - to help give flyers out in Stevenage Road as the crowd arrives, advertising the survey and encouraging fans to take part - it should only take about twenty minutes to half an hour, and all we need to do is give the flyers out. If you might be able to help, please email us at fulhamtrust@gmai.com so we can send you details of where to meet. Thank you for your continued support of the Trust's work, Regards Tom Tom Greatrex Chair, Fulham Supporters' Trust Thank you for your continued support of the Fulham Supporters' Trust

I see Scholes has left Oldham after thirty one days. Oldham have the same problem as Fulham. The spoilt son of the owner who thinks he knows it all.
Good for Scholes - the situation was unworkable and he did the honorable thing and quit. Blackpool took four years to get the Oystens out; how long will it take Oldham and Fulham to do the same? If the FA, the PL and the PFA weret't all self-centered cretins-in-blazers the problems surrounding foreign owners would have been addressed a long time ago and the good sorted from the bad.
posted by The Arizonan - Thursday 14th March 2019, 7:17 PM
Not really sure what the relevance of the nationality of an owner is? A bad owner is a bad owner irrespective. For what it's worth, Oysten is British although he is a terrible & horrible person!

You have a point but lack of prior involvement in UK football by foreign owners, particularly those of the "investment" type, can have a serious detrimental effect on long established clubs and thus on the sport in general.

Spot on Arizonan. The only plus point about our owners is that unlike Oldham at least they pay the bills. Maybe Tony Kahn has learnt from his mistakes but I doubt it.

Although we feel that things are dire currently, without MAF who comes under the category of “lack of prior involvement in UK football by foreign owners”. We would be in a much worse situation or possibly not even exist now. So I don't think all foreign owners are bad, I don’t hear many Man City fans complaining too much. Hopefully the Khans have learnt an expensive lesson this season and will change. He has run a multi-billion dollar company very successfully so I would find it hard to believe that he is resistance to change. Having worked for a blue chip company for 30+ years, change is inevitable and is a must! I am also sure that his intentions for Fulham are good in the long term and that this season is just a bump in the road along the journey we are sharing!

After their excellent win tonight in Germany, I have a feeling that Liverpool will be knackered when they play us at the weekend, and with a bit of luck we might keep the score down to 3 or 4 goals against us, instead of the expected 6 ! !
Yeah, if only. The bloke I feel sorry for is Rico. He must have a sore back from picking the ball out of the net but he's an excellent stopper other than on crosses. Reminds me of Peter Bonetti but PB had decent center backs in front of him. I hope he stays alongside Betts and Rodak (never seen him but Kunye is a big fan so that's good enough for me).

Munich seemed to be more interested in trying to get a liverpool player sent off rather than trying to win the tie. Bayern have the same problem as real madrid they need to rebuild again. I thought Lyon might have given barca a bit of a game last night aswell but that messi seems to walk through defenders.

Maybe we will turn up against one of these big teams before the season ends? We just seem to be a bag of nerves when the ball starts pinging back into our defensive area. Take errors out of our game, and we have some restbite to create something. 10 points adrift, and no more expectations, we might just show some fight? Win or lose? Most likely lose to Liverpool. I hope our lads show some spirit and passion on Sunday. Let's end the season with a bang. Come on Fulham!!!

"Dear David"? All I got Dave was a dear "blank" which I suppose could be appropriate. Anyhow, as your long lost cousin I'll back your recommendation. In the long run it might be the only way to stick it to baby khan. At least these folks are sitting around the table with club management, which we're not and will never be. When you first posted this "Dave" (someone else brought it up a few weeks back, for which thanks) I mooched around the other FFC fan sites to see if it was a common theme. Blimey, how bad are they? I thought we were all a bit out there at times but seriously, there is absolutely no comparison. This is the most lively, informed and passionate FFC fansite by a country mile. So, if we ever want to harness that enthusiasm and focus it one major issue, the FST is the only conduit and it would behove all of us to make it work, in our interest and that of the club. C'mon lads, it's only a tenner and we can form a united bloc with one voice. Can't take that role as I'm too far away but there are many level headed and eloquent locals here who could fit the bill. As Kitchener said, "Your Club Needs You". He'd fought a few Khans in his time as well ...

Jose Mourhino is still available after losing out on a return to Real Madrid. Bad call for WBA to sack Darren Moore, when they are in the play off places and the season's not over. SJ in the frame I hear, but will WBA keep him if he gets them promoted?
That's their problem not ours

Rich' that is hopeful thinking that we will breeze back into the prem. Trust me' we are not even as good as Leeds right now. Look at Leeds? They know how to get the best out of average players like Bamford, and when they lose a game, they consistently bounce back in the next game. Fulham had a golden unbeaten run in one season which put us up there, but we are too inconsistent to maintain a challenge like them. We have some good average squad players but we don't know how to utilize them etc. We won't just walk it back into the Championships because we don't graft hard enough and we have that defensive Achilles heel which always creeps back into our game. Fulham have never addressed those defensive errors whichever league. Norwood has scored a penalty for Sheff utd by the way. He is an average steady headed penalty taker who would be useful to us but we never got the best out of him. I think some Fulham fans will hate me for saying this, but we could well learn and take a blueprint from Leeds in how to control a game and how to bounce back quickly from a defeat. Long gone are the days when you could refer to Leeds as the 'Dirty Leeds' Bite yer legs' Norman Hunter is no more, and they can play football. If anyone thinks that i am turning into a Leeds fan? I am a massive fan of their manager ' Marcelo Bielsa' This guy is a genius for me, and his attention to detail is sublime. As i keep saying, if we are to bounce back into the prem? Colonel Parker needs to improve at a rapid rate which is doubtful, or we go in for someone who is at least up to the intelligence of Marcelo Bielsa. Fulham owners need to seriously up their recruitment in every area's period!!!

The club is in turmoil on and off the pitch and in my opinion back to back relegations are more likely than another promotion push. There are a lot of good clubs in the Championship now and next season there will likely be 20+ that have at one time played in the Prem. Just competing will be a big ask :0(.

Totally agree with Badger we need a period of stability and time to sort out this current mess. If the right decisions are not made in the summer we could indeed end up in the Championship relegation mix. This means leaving the running of the football side of the club to football people. Enthusiastic amateurs can be a disaster in any business no matter how well meaning.

Wish I could disagree with you MST, but considering that somebody will have to put together a brand new squad, that the owners know F...A... about football ,that the atmosphere at home games may be affected by a missing stand, the perspectives are not too optimistic. If the Khans are forever in charge of player recruitment, we have no chance! we need a strong-minded man at the helm who can stand up to them. We don't need a yes-man who will pander to them to keep a job because the circus will keep turning round and round again. (3 ringed circus' by Barry Biggs) Just come to me that one...

Taking into account what he went through, celebrating with his own fans is probably an understandable reaction. Not saying it is the right thing to do but a booking would be the right outcome to ensure consistency. What bugs me more than anything is when an opposing team player goads the opposing fans such as Glenn Murray did when he scored against us at home by mouthing off to the Hammy End. Lampard used to kiss the badge in front of the Hammy End when he scored against us. Those types of behaviours in my opinion are deserving of a red card as it can insight trouble either during or after the game. I am not excusing trouble, but we all know that there are idiots who react in that way and there always will be I am afraid.

Do we play Mitro, TC, Sess, Ayite, KMac, StefJo, Odoi, Ream, and Betts in the Championship next year? As far as I’m concerned, the answer is yes. Anguissa, Seri, Le Marchand, etc.— these are bench players based on performance this year. The side that won promotion can do so again IF we sign a viable LB and RB and revert to a possession style. It’s going to be tough to find anyone better than Slavisa.
Much as l love them players don’t think it will work second time round maybe a couple but need fresh blood

Not sure I'm looking forward to watching us perform against Liverpool. Logic tells us that they should stroll to a three goal victory almost like a training session. Maybe we can give it a real go - it's the least all our long suffering supporters deserve! Or am I being a tad pessimistic?
posted by Other john (Guest) - Tuesday 12th March 2019, 12:05 PM
I think Mitro will leave, replace him with Che Evans from Birmingham. I think Cairney will stay so team is built around him with Johanson and Mcdonald no brainers as the midfield 3, Betts if fit in goal, Mawson, Ream, Odoi, Bryan, Christie are all capable champonship defenders, Sess might stay but it also might be time to cash in if we can, so two wide players required but Ayite, Kebano are both solid championship players as well. It wont be the fire sale like last relegation and we also have a manager with some common sense rather than the mad german who relegated us a while back. i reckon 3 or 4 out and 3 or 4 in and we will be just fine. Biggest question for me is DO WE WANT TO BE PROMOTED AGAIN?? Premier League is miserable!
posted by Adam (Guest) - Tuesday 12th March 2019, 12:12 PM
I feel tht TC , SESS, MITRO, will all be gone at the seasons end, plus the dross. A seasons rebuilding under a stong capable manager then a bid for promotion.
posted by KUNYE (Guest) - Tuesday 12th March 2019, 12:16 PM
Promotion is the goal. Look at Wolves. There’s a blueprint for us, and even Cardiff could still survive. Our possession style masked our defensive frailties, but it all went wrong before a minute was played. With Targett and Freddo, it would’ve been a much different year. Fewer mental mistakes, more service for Mitro. Threw it away in the summer, then by firing Slavisa.

To get him before WBA seal the deal, we have got to show we want him! Slavisa is having talks with them now, and i would hijack WBA interest. Knowing Slavisa this time around, he will demand and want full control of transfers and i would insist on that one. A spit and sign in blood with Tony Khan to relinquish control? The problem in having Slavisa back is, will Parker and Gray accept this? I am not so sure about that...

Joka is a proud man, can't imagine for a minute he'd want to be associated with FFC again. There is no comparison with the Zidane situation. He got out of Real last year because he saw the writing on the wall. Clever move, he allowed others to take the rap for the club's demise, and now, ten months on, he sidles back in. Mourinho meanwhile, an absolute busted flush - he should be hanging his head in shame looking at what Solskjaer has achieved at United. Tragedy is that he's still regarded as a managerial A-lister among Europe's elite clubs.

If Slavisa is interviewed for the WBA job, he will probably ask for some control on player recruitment, he has not had that luxury at Fulham. Question out of interest is Slavisa capable of managing successfully a team in the prem on his own terms? Did he have a chance at Watford? not Quite. If this is Khans team for Fulham, it was always doomed to failure no matter who was in charge. The jury is out on Slavisa and he will want to succeed at WBA if he gets the job. WBA won a good 3-0 tonight against Swansea, so there is a monumental push in the playoff direction which could further tempt Slav into jumping on board. He is young in management and i think that he will think hard and carefully iron out his contract and make sure fully that control is more in his favour. The price for failure associated with Watford, Fulham, and maybe WBA, will not look good on his CV.

The statue of the Michael Jackson which was exhibited Craven Cottage by former Fulham owner Mohamed al-Fayed has been removed from the National Football Museum in Manchester following the broadcast of the documentary Leaving Neverland, which accused the star of child abuse.

Al-Fayed was a personal friend of Jackson and commissioned the statue in 2009, shortly after the singer's death. After being displayed in pride of place outside of the Al-Fayed owned Harrods, the memorial was moved to Craven Cottage in 2011 after he sold the store.

However, after Al-Fayed also sold Fulham in 2013, new owner Shahid Khan decided it was best to remove the 7ft 6in memorial and return it to his predecessor.

At the time Fulham Chairman Shahid Khan said: "Our supporters' views on the statue have been made clear. I respect Mr Al Fayed and know he had good intentions in paying an individual tribute. However, the removal of the statue is the right thing for Fulham Football Club."

The museum had displayed the statue since 2014 but had it taken down this week in the wake of the accusations against Jackson.

Leaving Neverland, shown over two nights on Channel 4, details the allegations of Wade Robson and James Safechuck that Jackson sexually abused as children Neverland Ranch in California.

A spokesman said the decision was part of "ongoing plans to better represent the stories we want to tell" and the sculpture will be put into storage.
There's another half dozen statues in our squad that should be put into storage.

From the loanees I'd try and get Chambers and Rico (we need three keepers and Kunye wold say Rodak should be in the three). Nordveit I haven't seen of yet to make a comment, other than Hangeland recommended him highly. Markovic is an unknown, Babal has potential and personally I'd keep all the end of contracts this summer. Later seasons are a different problem, but we have to get htere first. Thanks for posting this. Thought you'd buggered off with Fliss. 2019 End of loans Calum Chambers Luciano Vietto Sergio Rico Timothy Fosu-Mensah Havard Nordtveit 2019 End of contracts Ryan Babel Lazar Markovic Neeskens Kebano (club option of a further year) Floyd Ayite (club option of a further year) Denis Odoi (club option of a further year) Stefan Johansen (with club option of a further year)

I suspect Ryan won’t sign an extension so he will end up leaving on a free at the end of next season. We should really be giving him a longer contract so whoever wants him has to pay. Tottenham are tight, he will probably end up there.

What I would like to see in the real world Is mr khan coming in to heathrow whizzing down to motspur pk storming into the training area !!!!,and saying you six , (that's about all I could muster)you stay , then stand there and rip up there contracts there is the door good by.Never happen but would make hilarious reading next day In the sun, also I noticed parker has inherited C/R charismatic style of enthusiasm for after match interviews!!!!!!!,can any squad ever in the prem be so bad as this lot?, why keep playing them,? bring back all loan players, use a few under 23s and a few of the present and just go for it, get ready for a firestorm sale, we must get over 100 mill back in , mitro china !!!sess, serri anguish !!!!,there is a 100 mill , keep mawson bryan betts cairney, babal rest are loans I think ,so wages go down and we start again ,with out parker as boss .
If you think you can get 100 million for those players you're sadly mistaken. Sessegnon's value has plummeted, Seri on current performance is of no significant value and we need to keep Mitrovic if we possibly can. Bring in the youngsters by all means and ruin their careers by leaving them exposed to gross errors from the hacks still on the pitch. If the current squad can't play as a team how do you expect the youngsters to fit in?

Be very supprised if mitro went to china for less than 50 mill, may be more if bidding game starts, sess will make 20 mill easy even with this seasons bad start,he is young and needs a class team to nurture him ffc let him down bad. Sarri even at a loss a French mob would take him for 15 mill ,add cairney le marchand, and anguish, huge wage scale lifted of ffc must make 100 mill, football is mental some will want these guys and blame us for making them play so bad.

Should be the same this year so 80k to 90k for next season. Someone can refine this as I'm strapped for time today. RGDS.

Many years ago, before most of our supporters today were born, we played Leicester City at Craven Cottage, and we were both challenging for promotion from Division two at the time. We had a very good centre forward in those days called Dean Coney. The game was goal less and there was a cross from the left, I can't remember who from, and there was Dean in front of an open goal and just a nod would have put us ahead, but typical Fulham he completely missed the ball. We went on to lose the match 1-0, and missed out on promotion. Many years later we are both in the same League again, and they beat us again, to put the last nail in our coffin for the drop. I wonder how long it will be before we meet again in a league match ? Many years, me thinks ! !

Surely he should be charged with GBH? If I walk down the street and someone punched me in the face unprovoked, I’d expect him to be locked up at least for 3-6months! So why it appears he will get away without police prosecution? Ban someone from a stadium is a useless - until we have face recognition technology, you can never stop someone coming into the stadium. Charge him and lock him up for 12months to make a clear point to anyone who wants to attack another player or another fan!
Being a sensible and appropriate suggesting John it there for follows that it hasn't the slightest chance of it being implemented!

The charge refers to the injury not the act. GBH requires some serious or permanent harm which as grealish went on to the winning goal would not apply. Police also don't decide on the charge thats downs to the CPS.

There’s a line crossing onto the pitch. There’s even a bigger red line attacking a player. Neither are tolerated and should be punished. The former one could argue is just over excitement. The latter attacking a player is thuggery, coward and violent! Yes, Grealish was not hurt but equally you can really hitt someone and why did he attack him!

Seems to be a stabbing in the country at least once a day on average lately. it could only be a matter of time before a footballer gets attacked with a weapon on the pitch. (its happened in tennis). Something needs to change not just at football grounds but off the pitch aswell. Grealish would be a likeable player if he cut down on his rolling around and diving but fair play to the way he dealt with the situation. That stupid fan is going to struggle to get employment behaving like that. three times this weekend a fan ran on, lets see what happens next weekend.

When the bubble didn’t last long? Burst in 6 days in fact! Some of us are desperate for a heroic manager to come in and save the club and thought we found that manager in Parker! Didn’t take long for us to be despair again! Didn’t someone yesterday in this forum want to bring someone with more experience in now!?
C'mon John. This collection of misfits is unmanageable, too late to change now and who in their right mind would want to step into this mess? Parker's there till seasons end, although whether he or the club want to continue with that is debateable. Unless management changes, nothing changes and that's a recipe for freefall.
posted by The Arizonan - Sunday 10th March 2019, 5:24 PM
The thing is John our players aren’t just good enough. And we all know whose fault that is Tony Kahn. No manager can get anything out of this team. The players who worked hard to get us up have lost their confidence under Ranieri. The rest of them just don’t care.

Scotty is on a hiding to nothing, and with this assembled rabble winning is almost an impossible task. He probably took this job through gritted teeth, as he knew, like we know, that we will probably not win another game this season, and we will be relegated by the first week in April. I feel rather sorry for the lad, but we should still get behind him against Liverpool, although we all know that the result will be our usual customary loss.

Guy's, it can't be just Khan's fault? After all said and done, we were all crying out for Ranieri to play Sessegnon, Cairney, and Big Mac from the start which he wouldn't do half the time. These 3 are Fulhams nucleus of influential players along with Mitro that got us up from the Championships. I was shell-shocked looking at the contrast on form from the Chelsea game leading into the Leicester game. If i go on form? It just does not make sense that they played appallingly. I just feel that we suffer from a lack of confidence for a long time now, and when things start to go wrong in a game, we just fall apart. I really believe that the way how we played against Chelsea is somehow our proper form including our familiar mistakes at the back. We never addressed those defensive weaknesses from even back in the Championships. It wasn't a Pizza or a Yoga session we needed, it is more therapy because i am telling you guy's that we have a psychological problem in our players heads that keep coming back like a rash. As soon as that ball comes back to us, we panic and fall apart and the mistakes come back again. It might sound strange me saying what i will say now? I think we need to pray if that makes sense, just my take on things at Fulham. Honestly, we are not even the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd worst team in this prem, there is something holding us back and we need to overcome it. We will get things right one day soon and hopefully, we all can smile and enjoy our football again. I know that the likes of Tom Cairney will be hurting about what the lads are dishing up and i genuinely think they feel really bad and want to correct things, but they don't know how. Sad state of affairs at Fulham right now...

looking back at last season, when we were both in the Championship, both us and Wolves were on a par, in fact at times we were the better outfit, playing more attractive football. Now look at the same teams this season, and Wolves have done themselves proud, and we have become the league's laughing stock(Huddersfield apart)as we have spent millions on a losing outfit, and Wolves have spent hardly anything of new players. Where the hell did it all go wrong. I could feel tears in my eyes watching Wolves play Chelsea today. Chelsea made mince meat of us last week, and then against Wolves, they were so lucky to get a point, so I ask again, where did it all go wrong. The answer is Tony Khan and his stats programme, that's what. If he is still in the same position next season, why bother getting another season ticket, as you will be wasting your money.
Wolves had a plan.

Can’t agree that Chelsea made mincemeat of us as we performed well and deserved at least a draw. I do however take your point about Wolves. Unfortunately we made the massive mistake from day one of pretty much dismantling a very successful and confident promotion winning squad. We needed some minor tweaks here and there and we would have at least been in a position to compete We did not requre the wholesale changes that totally destroyed our team spirit and squad morale. The whole thing has been a mess from start to finish and an insult to last seasons magnificent achievement

There is no presence when things are bad, the only thing i read is that he had a brief conversation with Scott Parker. That seems worrying to me, i'd of thought he be around most of the time when we are in this position. Planning for next season now, not waiting until the last minuet. Also why is his dad doing the firing and statements that follow in both Ranieri and Jokanovic's case, surely that undermines his son. Perhaps the Khans need to admit that Tony needs to work under an experienced director of football?

Did you see the post match interview with SP on Sky last night? He looked really shattered and down, poor fellow. Never mind, Liverpool next week should seal our fate. Glad to see the affable Caldio Ranieri bounce back at Roma, where he had managed before and wish him all the best. What we have to face as fans is that FFC came up to the Premiership with "quite a good team", but made up of 'loan players' and vgood Championship players. We'll need them next season. This team was signed on deadline day, were strangers to each other, leaving SJ no time to mould them into an efficient side to ensure we at least stayed up. I am praying that we can do a Burnley, but they had a team of players that would die for their club and a manager I admire. Lee Johnson? Untested at the highest level. Think again lads.
Was at the game yesterday and apart from a 20 minute spell in the 2nd half we were so poor, will have to face up to it Jokanovic,Ranieri or Parker we are so definitely not good enough all over the pitch, seen so many games where we are second everywhere. OK - we've 15 minutes plus stoppage time to play at Leicester - the score is 1-1. Our players are tiring & they have Jamie Vardy - very quick ,difficult to play against. Did it not occur to anybody to bring on some defenders - 'park the bus' effectively - and win a point ???? No - 'some individual mistakes' gave Vardy 2 goals - and although I appreciate 1 point will make virtually no difference in the end - it would have been nice to have something ........just a minor point.
