As previously indicated, it will do nothing because illegal immigrants will work illegally for illegal businesses. Total waste of time, energy and money. Biggest problem is that you can’t deport people without a passport or proof of ID which, they hide or destroy so change British law.

Just a slight correction, you can deport a non British citizen without a passport.

I think all criminals and people who are to rich to need to work should have them as well. Also pensioner who needs to identify themselves and have no passport or driving licences or paper bills.

Not sure that’s true Morty. There’s a documentary on TV series that follows this kind of stuff and they arrest these people but without papers they have to release them back into the community. Maybe someone can check it out?

You can deport without documents after winning half a dozen legal challenges paid for by legal aid and by charities supported by the taxpayer. You can also win the lottery and use unicorn droppings to fertilise your allotment.

A little naive if you don’t mind me saying Pointless. There are thousands of illegals working for families, friends of families, unscrupulous employers etc. paying well below minimum wage. They take their papers and house 20 to a bedroom and then charge half their income for the pleasure. When C&E raid these places, they arrest them and then let them go because they have no documentation. Watch a documentary series called border control; it will really open your eyes.

They are everywhere. Every dodgy builder has a team of them doing some dodgy work to someone's house.

Rest assured you can deport someone who doesn’t have a passport. I was only responding to your comment which is incorrect. Paddy is correct in saying that you have to go to a lot of effort but it is doable. The Government can use anyone of the following documents:- an Emergency Travel Document, a United Kingdom Letter, a Chicago Convention Letter. Where the problem lies I suspect is establishing the individual’s nationality and reaching agreement with their embassy. If a person is in the country illegally they can be arrested and forcibly removed. Failure to cooperate will result in additional charges and other deportation procedures. So it can be done, the question is do our Government follow their own procedures? One thing to consider is that identity cards whilst not resulting in the loss of rights for a British citizen do impact on an immigrant and their ability to work. If all legal immigrants awaiting approval for the right to stay could legitimately work in the meantime, they technically would no longer be a drain on the exchequer by being housed or paid benefits. If applied correctly that would save the country billions. They would of course need to be issued with a special type of time restricted card.In summary therefore, yes they can be deported, identity cards will not be some additional tool to spy on British citizens , all the information is already in the public domain and yes , the authorities need to adopt their own procedures. That and get out of the EHNCR and ENCR and prevent Starmer and his mates from raising spurious rights to stay.

Really meant work shy youngsters as opposed to boat people, they can lose cards and so cant work in real world as employers cant sign them on..
