Craig Pawson has been a referee since 1993, working his way up the Football League ladder since the 2008/09 campaign.
The Sheffield & Hallamshire FA referee was placed in the Select Group of Premier League officials from the 2013/14 season. In 2015 Pawson was put on the FIFA International Referees List. Pawson became the seventh referee from England on the list.
Mr Pawson last refed Fulham a month ago on December 2nd in the dramatic 5-4 loss to Manchester City. Just one player was booked and that was a Man City player for time wasting. Fulham's goal scorers were Emile Smith Rowe, Alex Iwobi and then two from Samuel Chukwueze.
September 2025, so just over a month ago, when we beat Leeds Unite 1-0 at The Cottage. He booked one player from the Fulham squad, Sander Berge for a foul, and two Leeds players. The only goal of the game was an own goal by Gudmundssson.
Earlier in the year in January 2025 Mr Pawson refed us when we lost 3-2 away at West Ham . He booked three players from each team, Timothy Castagne, Sasa Lukic and Raul Jimenez were the Fulham players booked. Alex Iwobi scored both Fulham goals.
Nearly a year earlier in April 2024 Ref Pawson was in charge when we lost 1-3 at home to Liverpool. He booked three players all from the Fulham squad, Andreas Palhinha (32,f), Tosin Adarabioyo (39,dis) and Timothy Castagne (78,dis). Timothy also scored Fulham's goal.
Earlier in the above season, in September 2023, Mr Pawson also refed our game when we beat Norwich 2-1 in the League Cup at The Cottage. He booked four players just one from Fulham, Rodrigo Muniz for a foul. Carlos Vinicius and Alex Iwobi scored Fulham's goals.
It was some two seasons previous when Mr Pawson refed a Fulham game. The get together was in May 2021 when we lost 3-1 away at Southampton with Fabio Carvalho being Fulham's goal scorer. One player was booked and that was Joachim Andersen of Fulham, for a foul.
Earlier in the season in April 2021 Mr Pawson refed Fulham when we drew 1-1 away at Arsenal, he booked three players all from Fulham, Joachim Andersen for a foul in the 50th minute, Bobby Decordova-Reid for a foul in the 61st minute and Alphonse Areola for time wasting in the 89th minute. Josh Maja scored Fulham's goal with a penalty in the 59th minute.
Mr Pawson first refed a Fulham game in the 2-1 Premier League home defeat by Cardiff in September 2013, Bryan Ruiz scored Fulham's goal. He booked one player from each team the Fulham player was Dimitar Berbatov
The last occasion Mr Pawson refed Liverpool was a couple of weeks ago when they won 2-0 at home to Brighton.
Last season, 2024/2025, he refed 31 games and dished out 118 yellows and 5 reds, so
an average of 3.8 yellows per game.
His busiest game recently was the League Cup game between Liverpool and Crystal Palace when he sent off Liverpool's Amara Nallo in the 9th minute and yellow carded two other players from each team.
