Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic says all is peace in the Fulham camp despite the last two difficult weeks

He even had a straight face when he said it - but Slavisa Jokanovic looked genuinely perplexed that everybody keeps asking about Chris Martin.

The Fulham coach even reckoned the furore over the will-he, won't he stay for the Derby loanee had nothing to do with a refusal to down tools - although there are previous few connected with Fulham who refuse to believe otherwise.

Martin came back after a three-game absence to bag the all-important first goal against Barnsley with a penalty.

Scott Malone's second-half strike secured the double over Fulham's play-off rivals.

But Joka did admit Martin had been a little 'confused' over the last two weeks.

“Today he had a good performance and we are happy that he is back," the head coach said.

"I don’t know why people ask me about Chris Martin so much this is not his first game for Fulham.

“He did not refuse to play for us, he is a professional football player. He was a little bit confused with the situation and now he has a clear mind.

“I expect he will play for us in the future as well. In general we have to forget about this situation and carry on with preparing for the next game.

“This is the best situation for the club and player. I have made it clear he will be with us until the end of the season and that is it.”
