Cottagers boss Jean Tigana, whose side hold a 3-0 away leg lead in the second round tie, will be making team changes as he concentrates on the weekend Premiership game away at Birmingham.
Lee Clark will be handed the chance to win back his Fulham place by starting the game.
The Geordie midfielder said recently that he would be prepared to leave the club in January if he is not a regular starter in Jean Tigana's side. But he now has a chance to impress the boss after been told he will definitely start against the Croats on Thursday night.
Bjarne Goldbaek is also tipped to make the side.
Striker Steve Marlet is likely to be rested, leaving Facundo Sava, Luis Boa Morte and Andrejs Stolcers fighting for the places up front.
Barry Hayles is unavailable as he has developed pain around his neck vertebrae and faces a week's rest before discovering if he then must have a further month-long lay-off.
Sean Davis is still out and will not start ball work until next week after suffering a fractured toe.
Striker Louis Saha has a hamstring injury that has just been operated on keeping the striker in the stand until mid-January.
