Shea Charles scored a sensational winner for Northern Ireland in the ninth minute of added time to secure a 1-0 victory over Georgia.
The Nations League tie had been goalless, with Georgia’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia seeing his second-half penalty saved by Shea’s brother, Pierce.
That was until the Fulham midfielder stepped up to smash home the only goal of the game, sealing Northern Ireland’s first-ever Nations League B victory.
Speaking post-match, Shea said: “I thought we fought really hard. To just come away with that winner is just incredible.
“We're still a really young group and just to be able to keep our temper and defend like that towards the end of the game and come away with the winner - it's just really good.”
Elsewhere, Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi both completed 90 minutes for Nigeria in their 2-1 win over Madagascar.
The Super Eagles had fallen behind in the AFCON Qualifier before Iwobi threaded a beautiful ball through to George Ilenikhena, who equalised.
In the second half, Moses Usor scored the winner to secure victory for Nigeria. They will next face Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday.
Back in the Nations League, Timothy Castagne also played the full match as Belgium beat Italy 2-0 away from home, while Hugo Larsson was an unused substitute as Sweden beat Romania 2-1.
In the Under-21 European Championship Qualifiers, Josh King starred as England ran out 4-2 winners over Kazakhstan, while Gonzalo García was handed the captain’s armband in Spain’s narrow 2-1 defeat to Finland.
David Affengruber scored his first international goal as Austria secured a Nations League victory over Kosovo.
The defender played the full 90 minutes in Vienna and opened the scoring after 20 minutes, rising highest in the box to loop a header into the net.
Junior Adamu and Carney Chukwuemeka added further goals for Ralf Rangnick’s side, while Edon Zhegrova’s late penalty proved to be only a consolation for Kosovo.
