Fulham midfielder Harrison Reed claimed nearly half of the vote on his way to winning the Royal Carribean Legend of the Match against Liverpool.
Introduced as a late substitute, Reed only played around ten minutes in the 2-2 draw, but his impact was huge, rifling an unstoppable strike into the top corner deep into stoppage-time to send the Cottage crowd into a frenzy.
Reed’s rocket was just the fourth goal of his Fulham career – and he won’t score one better.
The midfielder told Sky Sports: “I knew we’d get a chance, but I thought it’d be a bit more clearcut than that! It came to me nicely, Kev (Kevin) has given me the ball, and I’ve had no other option than to just hit one.
“What a feeling. I’m not sure on the celebration, I was a bit everywhere, but a deserved point for us, definitely.”
49.04% of voters picked Reed as their star performer. Fellow goalscorer Harry Wilson took 11.34% of the vote, ahead of Tom Cairney with 9.43%.
