Fulham manager Marco Silva felt that Fulham’s victory over Tottenham Hotspur should have been by a greater margin on Sunday afternoon.

An early Harry Wilson volley and a stunning Alex Iwobi finish had us two up at the break, but a number of additional chances to extend the lead came and went, before Richarlison scored off the bench to ensure a nervier finale than was necessary.

“I believe the three points clearly we deserved,” Silva said. “In terms of the score, it should be different with the amount of chances that we created.

“Of course, first half, the beginning of the game, we were clinical, ruthless. We created and we punished them.

“But the number of moments that we had second half to score, clear chances to score the third goal and kill completely the game, and we didn't. That is the reality.

“And you know, anytime at the level that we are playing, with the individual quality on the other side, they can punish you, which is what Richarlison did in that moment.

“But great performance from us. I really believe that the way we were able to control the game, creating chances, the dynamic we put in our offensive organisation, was top.

“I think we controlled very well the physicality from them, the two strikers, always the channel balls and the runners in behind. They tried, and I think we did control very, very well.

“The only thing is the score doesn't reflect our superiority on the pitch, but we are very pleased with the performance, with another three points, and we move on.”
