Fulham manager Marco Silva was able to deliver some positive team news ahead of Fulham’s meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The treatment room at Motspur Park has been heavily populated of late, but Joachim Andersen will definitely be back at Craven Cottage on Saturday, while a number of others could also return to the squad.
“After the Carabao Cup game, things started to look a little bit better, I have to say,” Silva said. “Of course, I like to have the younger players around ourselves, but it’s much better to see the senior players around in good numbers in our sessions.
“It’s been completely different the last two days – some of them, after a long absence, started to train with the team.
“About players that we are sure can be out or in: Joachim Andersen is going to be in, definitely. [Antonee] Robinson still out.
“Emile Smith Rowe is going to be in contention for the game as well, Harry Wilson, too. The other players we have to analyse, like Rodrigo [Muniz], like [Samuel] Chukwueze as well, but it looks like they could be in contention for the game, too.”
Raúl Jiménez was withdrawn from Tuesday’s tie in Wycombe after picking up a knock, and will require a late test ahead of Wolves.
“Still in doubt,” Silva replied when asked about the striker’s chances. “We are going to decide with him tomorrow morning.
“He has the same problem that he got against Villa. There was a knock there that he felt again.
“Not as painful as the Villa game, it’s getting better, [and] we are going to take a decision if he’s going to start the game or not.”
