Fulham's Carlos Bocanegra is enjoying life in midfield, although he has never played in that position before as a professional.
The US international's regular role is at left back but he has been forced to make the switch because Fulham have six midfielders on the sidelines with injuries.
The 27-year-old, who featured in Saturday's 1-0 home win over Everton, has no complaints about his new position and wants to add to the goal he scored in the 2-1 victory at Newcastle in September.
"I'm here for the team. I've played left back, centre back and most recently as a defensive midfielder, and that's fine with me, so long as I am on the pitch playing," he told the Daily Mirror.
"I played in midfield when I was younger but never at a high level like The Premiership.
"It's okay though. I am enjoying it. I have Ian Pearce and Zat Knight behind me doing a great job and speaking to me a lot, which helps."
