Chris Coleman has asked for emergency contract talks with Fulham
MD, Michael Fiddy when he returns from France.
The 30-year-old has been unsettled by reports that City and Sunderland
are both willing to double his wages and offer him a return to
the Premiership while Blackburn are also rumoured to be keen to
take him back to Ewood Park.
Now he wants Fulham to respond by at least offering him a new
deal, and there is a distinct possibility he could ask to leave
if the talks do not go well.
Fulham do not want to lose their captain but new boss Jean Tigana
is determined to only field players who are happy to stay at the
club.
The news is certain to alert Man City, who remain the favourites
to snap up the defender if he is allowed to leave.
