Fulham manger Jean Tigana was satisfied with the point although Steed Malbranque missed two clear chances.

Fulham boss Jean Tigana has set his side a survival target of 17 more points.

The Frenchman believes that will be enough to avoid a return to the Nationwide after seeing his side stretch their winless Premiership streak to six matches.

The Reebok stalemate left Tigana's men just two places above the drop zone, but he believes his side's home form can keep them in the top flight.

"We need five wins and two draws. That's what we're looking for and we have eight games at home," he said.

"We had a few chances to win but we need a bit more confidence inside the box," he said.

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce was furious tonight after seeing his side fail to find the net against Fulham.

Henrik Pedersen missed a hat-trick of chances and Ricardo Gardner also squandered a golden opportunity as Wanderers were held 0-0 at the Reebok Stadium.

It was the sixth time this season Bolton have shared the points at home and they remain in trouble, lying fourth from bottom in the Premiership.

Allardyce said: "We failed miserably in front of goal and it's two points dropped.

"Having created so many chances, we should have won the game.

"It's very frustrating and very disappointing but we have to take it on the chin.

"Looking at the other results, we could have put a bit of distance between ourselves and Sunderland, West Ham and West Brom. That would have been very nice.

"We created easier chances than we did against Newcastle. We won that game but couldn't do so today."
