The Football Association have rejected an appeal by West Ham United to have the red card shown to Paul Konchesky in the goalless draw with Fulham rescinded.
Konchesky was dismissed by referee Chris Foy for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity, although TV replays showed that he had made contact with the ball before bringing down Cottagers winger Wayne Routledge.
Hammers boss Alan Curbishley had said at the time: "I think Paul has got the ball.
"Paul came across and got his tackle in, but while Wayne Routledge rode it and tried to nick the ball, he then lost control.
"In my opinion, it definitely wasn't a goalscoring opportunity and I'll to ask the referee to have another look at it."
Konchesky will now have to serve a one-match suspension.
