Fulham's French star Alain Goma remains unconcerned
about the club's inactivity in the transfer market this summer and believes
the squad is good enough to do well in the Premiership.
Goma, who moved from Newcastle for £4million in March, believes Fulham
have every reason to be confident about life in the top flight, and has
said that the lack of a big summer buy to date will not affect the future.
"I'm not really surprised because it's a low profile club," Goma
said. "I like the way they don't buy. "The fact that we don't
have any more big names is maybe better. It doesn't make a big difference,
for us it's more about team spirit. "We're more collective as a team
than being a bunch of individuals, each player participates in the game."
Fulham cantered to the Nationwide Division One title last season, and will
play their first season amongst the elite since 1968.
"I think we're good enough to perform," said Goma. "I know
the Premiership and I think we'll do quite well. "We don't really have
specific targets, and we know it won't be easy, but we're confident.
