I dont think anyone would deny we've not been playing well recently and whilst the important thing against Pompey was to win no matter what I think we really need to produce a convincing performance against Burnley. 3 points will take us to 34 points and will let the squad focus on pushing up the table but if we lose or just hand in another disjointed performance i think we'll spend the rest of the season worrying about getting the points required to keep us from being dragged into a relegation slog. There are reasons why we've not played well recently but Burnley offers us a chance to show we can still produce. Hoping Shorey shows why he was a good capture and O'kaka and Zamora start and get a couple of goal. This might yet be a memorable season, would anyone really have turned down 10th and still in the FA cup and Europe at the start of the season?

as long as we get the 3 points ill be happy, burnley have only won once away from home so im staying positive. Hoping Duff plays well and tries to add a bit more variety to his play which i think has been lacking. COYW

it looked like Burnley put in a decent performance on the weekend but i think Hodgson will be expecting more from the team than we've seen recently, i think what he said recently in the press and what he's been saying behind closed doors might be a little different. Either way i think if we start with o'kaka and zamora up front and our wide men put some decent balls in we'll bag a couple of goals. My main worry will be how we'll battle Burnley in the centre, need Murphy to play well, he's looked tired recently but we still need him to turn up for this one. I'd say 3-1 to Fulham but when do the whites ever let us have a relaxed final ten minutes?

cheer up there mate, your right that Burnley will be looking to build on their last result so its important we start off strong and try and keep them quite for the first twenty minutes. If its 0-0 half an hour in we'll go on to win, the most important thing is not to let them start fast out of the blocks and get some confidence.

you aint got a clue have you. were rubbish at the moment and hodgson should have bought some cover in january and now hes whining about injuries burnly will probly win whys kamara gone when jonsons injured??? weve been stupid and itll get shown this month and all this chat bout cups is trash an all cos even if we beat county well probly get knocked out in the next round and we defntly wont beat shakter and will probly get hammerd at theres place weather we have any decent players or not fit not that we have many decent players anyway

Aside from your terrible grammar and punctuation i think your point is incorrect. No we havent been playing well recently but there are certainly reasons for that. One of which is injuries but to suggest we should have bought more players int he window is foolish. We dont know what moves were made behind closed doors and it is clear Hodgson did attempt to aquire cover upfront for zamora and at right back. There arent many good players available in the transfer window just fat donkeys like beattie who will try and hold clubs to ransom. Who would you have bought supposing we had six million to spend? Secondly our run of form is not due to injuries alone but also a result of the games weve played, defeats away against good opposistion and a home defeat to a side pushing for fourth place dont equal disaster, though i agree it was disappointing. Having got the points against portsmouth and kept a clean sheet against bolton i think it is important for us to play well against burnley hence my thread. We happen to have an excellent chance of getting to a quarterfinal int he FA cup and a good draw might well see us progress further. Europe does look difficult but anything can happen in a cup. With injuries coming back into the team and shorey and o'kaka i think we'll pick up soon but even if we finish thirteenth and get to a quarterfinal those of us who remember the days pre-AF will consider this a good year.
Oh and as for Kamara im sure he'll look good in scotland were he gets more time and space but in the premieship, despite some outstanding moments, he never looked capable of being consistently good enough. Also hodgson didnt know johnson would be out for the season till after the window had closed.

Who's this O'Kaka bloke you are all talking about? Is he a new Irish striker I haven't heard about us signing or is it Stefano Okaka the striker from Roma?

sorry eccles, must have picked it up from somewhere. Okaka it is.
Winning 2-0, gutted im not there but keeping track on bbc updates. I'm glad Elm got one even if was a tap in. Still plenty of time for things to change but 'touch wood' we can keep Burnley out in the second half and maybe even add to our lead.

Get in 3-0, glad Zamora got a goal but i hear Okaka missed another decent chance. Anyone able to say what whether he shuld have bagged it? Sounds like we played alright, results were good for us today as well.

Wheres the faith, what do expect us to do, win the league or something?! We have half the wage bill of portsmouth whose lets face it, are as good as gone not just from the premier league. Our wage bill is nothing compared to most of the league and we don't have money to throw around like the top clubs. We have done extraordinarily well with the resources we have in this league.
Our squad is much small with much less depth then that of Man City and Tottenham, teams we finished above last season, so injuries like we have now practically cripples us, so a win like this despite the opposition should be praised.
We don't realistically think we're gonna win Europa and FA cup but is it so bad to dream? We've had a shit run of games in a period of horrendous injuries which has lead to bad performances and losses, so now that we're finally getting players back and getting a good run of games and winning, we should be happy not negative.
We're 9th BE HAPPY! :)

Hamend=legend; I've changed my mind about you. It's not anger management you need. It's some degree of education.

he's probably about 12 and only used to Fulham being in the premiership so has nothing to compare these supposed 'bad times' too and realise these are actually 'bloody good times'

been watchin fulham since the 70s its just obvius that we shuld have bought in more depth, any idiot could have told you we didnt ave the reserve players if anyone got injured and were playin in europe so it were obvius wed get some yet we still let kamara go on loan and are left with zamora who aint anythin okaka who cant speak english nevland whos not any good and elm but just cos we got some points we shuld of everyones acting like their aint no problems you lot are a joke

You were not watching Fulham in the 1970s. Watching Fulham in the '70s means you were probably born in the '60s...making you well into your forties by now.
You grammar, spelling and punctuation suggests otherwise.

I totally agree Tommo. This bloke is clearly one of those people that just moans constantly about the team and the players.
How can you say Zamora "aint anythin" when he's our top scorer this year and I think you'll find he scored on tuesday.....yes he did! He is not the most talented player at the club but he works his arse off and has got his rewards this season. Why have a dig at Okaka just because he doesnt speak English? Did you act like this towards Beckham when he went to Real Madrid? Or Capello when he first started managing England? You must just be one of those "supporters" that just ruin everything for everyone else. Do us all a favour and start "supporting" Brentford. You should fit in nicely with their scum in the stands.
