Player description
A creative midfield player who can operate in numerous positions on the pitch, Matt O’Riley joined Fulham at Under-9 level.
He enjoyed a fine 2016/17 season, playing for the Under-18s and featuring for Peter Grant’s PL2 side. He became the youngest scorer for Fulham at Under-23 level in the 4-2 win against Charlton Athletic at home in PL Cup.
The following season he was included in the First Team pre-season tour to both Poland and Germany where he made six appearances, and claimed an assist in a 2-2 draw against Darmstadt.
He made his senior debut in the Carabao Cup, as a young Whites side claimed a 2-0 victory over Wycombe Wanderers.
Matt is an England Youth international and would also be eligible to represent both Denmark and Norway.

“He has excellent creativity, is a terrific passer and makes intelligent decisions. It was excellent to see him make his debut in the Carabao Cup game against Wycombe.
“He showed maturity beyond his years and will have benefited greatly from the experience.”
In the 2017/18 season O'Riley started twice for the first team in ELF games against Wycombe Wanderers and Bristol Rovers while playing three times for the Under 21's in the Football League Trophy
In the midst of the Covid virus emergency, September 2020, O’Riley refused a new contract and left the club.
