Player description
Diomansy Kamara signed for Fulham during the summer of 2007 from West Bromwich Albion, but after a scintillating end to the 2007-08 season, when his goals away at Manchester City turned the tide and began the Club's 'Great Escape', the dynamic striker was dealt the cruelest of blows during the summer of 2008 when he suffered a cruciate knee injury whilst on international duty with Senegal.

The 28-year-old made a remarkable recovery at the end of 2008 and returned to First Team action during the 2-0 win over West Brom in February 2009.

In mid-March he put the seal on Fulham's first away Premier League win of the season, a 3-1 victory against Bolton Wanderers, and in his first start of the season, against Aston Villa at Craven Cottage, the Senegalese striker netted two second-half goals that earned Fulham another crucial three points in their pursuit of a record breaking league placing.

He then scored his final goal of the season at St James' Park, when the only goal of the game secured the Whites another three points on the road. The scorer of exquisite goals, Kamara's electric pace, direct attacking play and skill on the ball provide a unique attacking threat.

Kamara got off the mark in 2009-2010 season against CSKA Sofia in the Europa League. With Fulham trailing by a goal to nil in the hostile Vasil Levski National Stadium, Kamara earned a point for Fulham in Bulgaria with a goal that highlighted the striker's blistering turn of pace and a cool head in front of goal.

In January 2010, Kamara moved to Celtic on loan until the end of the season but returned to Fulham for the 2010/11 campaign.

Dio returned from a summer injury (foot) on the 25th September to make his Fulham comeback as a second half substitute during Fulham's 0-0 draw with Everton at the Cottage. Kamara scored his first goal of the season against Spurs on Saturday 16th October.

He went on to score 5 times in 11 games with three coming in the FA Cup game against Peterborough. However one game later he was out on loan at Leicester where he remained for the rest of the season.

In June 2011 he was released by Fulham.
