Watch SP interview where he stated the obvious that we need a striker but it is difficult with a short transfer window.
Fulham and all that follow know that we needed a striker as soon as we were promoted so the scouts and owner have had plenty of time ti identify any striker and start talks.
The other thing that I am confused about is why we have NOT produced any young talent since SP arrived.
Almost every club in the Premier League seem to be fielding at least 1 player in a match whereas Fulham could not even find one to make up a 9th substitute against Chelsea -- WHY?
FFC have a great record in the past for producing young talent Sessingson, Elliot, Roberts, Dembele, Smalling to name a few but now not even good enough as a SUB.
The owner needs to realise that not losing another game this season will see us relegated - We needto score goals and win.

Agree with you FB, I think a lot of fans knew that we needed a striker before the play offs. Our defence was the priority in the last window and we achieved that. We should not of got Kongolo, we should of got a striker.

If any club had Mitro in their squad, we would be falling over ourselves to buy him, well we already have him, and he will score goals providing that he is fit are raring to go, which I think he is. I hope that he plays tonight and bangs in a couple of goals, which might lead to a few of those ungrateful fans that are getting on his back to give him some slack. Without him we would still be in the Championship, and let's remember that.

I have to agree with Alan to some extent but I think Mitro has been struggling with fitness this season and the way Scott has set up his teams also but he is right in what he is saying and I believe that Mitro will play a big part for us in some of the upcoming fixtures and the rest of the season he is a natural goal scorer and has done it at international legal and will do it again for.us this season.

I can't agree that without Mitro we would still be in the Championship. Yes he scored a lot of goals, I agree but in his absence there is nothing to say someone else would not have.
I also don't agree that I should be thankful to any footballer - it is the other way around that they should be thankful for our support.
Maybe I'm wrong?

MST, what type of comment is that in an e-mail address, why don't you tell us what this is all about ?

MST, I can't believe your comment, yes he scored a lot of goals, just think about what you said. Without those goals we would still be in the Championship, would we not ? ?

e-mail address?? Not sure what you mean to be honest however, if you are referring to the post further up then it is not an e-mail address it is a weblink and all you have to do is copy it and paste it into the search bar in your browser.
I have pasted whole articles on here previously and people get quite tetchy about it taking up space so now, like most, I only paste weblinks. If you do as I explain, you can read it for yourself....or don't - your call ;0)))

AC - possibly but not definitely as someone else might also have scored those goals in his absence - are you forgetting the games towards the end of the season where Fulham scored for fun? Games in which Mitro did not play?
Are you forgetting Kebano who, once he had a run in the team, came into his own as a goal scorer. Who's to say he couldn't have scored the goals that Mitro did if Mitro was not there.
Unless you are suggesting that if Mitro was not there then we would have played with 10 men of course but I doubt that.
I'm just thinking laterally but nobody knows if we would still be in the Championship if Mitro didn't score those goals because someone else might have; so it's a moot point as far as I can see - not a fact as so many people like to write these days when it is just an opinion.

Mitro thrives on crosse. If he plays tonight and we have Joe Bryan on the left, and Tete on the right. Mitro will get more crosses put into him than he has had this season.

Who is the someone else that would have scored the goals of Mitro had not been around. Cav, knock, Bobby Reid. Oh yes, forgot Kanata. No one at the club can replace Mitro. Let's buy someone then. We are supposedly trying for how long. Easy, another Fonte maybe, or Mitroglue.
He is tried and trusted our Mitro. You don't owe him anything other than your support. Get behind him.

Mitrovic is a good striker although not to many clubs are chasing him.
The facts are we DO NEED ANOTHER STRIKER even SP has said that. You can not rely on one striker you have to be able to vary the attack and cover for suspensions and injury.

Agree to a certain point but the way Scott sets up the team now does not suit his strengths. the team is set up now to try & control the game & rely on breakaways as our main strength. One needs pace for this & this is something Mitrovic lacks?
He has been carrying a niggle since the world championships when he played a lot of games for Serbia. Yes I hope he comes back stronger but not for 90mins, he just gets marked out of the game by better defenders that are in the Premiership.

Cmon. MST take away mitros. Goals we would have been 30 goals light last season put us mid table. Who else in our squad would have scored 30 goals we know one man does not make a team But facts are this mans. Goals got us promotion

Gaz' maybe some Fulham fans knew deep down that Mitro wouldn't be that great in the prem, but as far as Khan see's business, Mitrovic was purchased for 22 million and Mitro is our main man like it or lump it. I don't think that Khan looks at Kamara as a failure? As far as he is concerned, Kamara who was a 5 million investment, is exactly that, an investment who he expects will give us a return in the future. The only reason i think why Khan will loosen up the purse strings is that we are in danger of exiting the premiership which won't do for business. I also think that Scott Parker would have gone cap in hand to Khan in various meetings to ask for another striker. If there was no danger of relegation, i doubt Khan would care so much. Saying all this, i wouldn't be surprised if Mitrovic finds some good old fashion flash in the box form. It's just that his style is not always workable in the prem, but on special occasions???
