A brave soldier from the Boer war, one of our greatest writers and a fantastic orator whose speeches will be remember forever unless the woke mob decide to attempt to erase his memory by destroying everything Churchillian. The flame that kept the country going during our darkest period between 1939 to 1942 may have died but , no doubt, his name will live for a thousand years or more.

The Jensen came later in a Saint reboot, in the 70s I think. Although the Volvo Moore used was built in the Jensen factory. I was trying to be clever as usual. The Interceptor was a great looking car though.

We are good in patches, we have all these great midfielders but they have trouble getting a ball through a defence. They are frightened about using the long ball. Our two forwards kept making good runs but the ball is hardly ever given to them. The defence is woeful, If Finland could finish they could have beaten us. The only positive was the win but against a decent team we would be slaughtered. We need a proper new manager and time for him to understand what he is expected to do.

We should try a few long balls to who ever is playing up front for us and when we pass from the back try to move the ball forward quickly. Avoid sideways and back passes unless you have no choice. I remember Jean Tigana said do not worry about passing to a man who is marked as he should be clever enough to break away from him.

The word here is money and lots of it and what was happening was lets say for instance most governments would put the NHS as a priority for the biggest funding and trust me you could take your pick for who gets funding next down the list which would be varied and controversial. There are a lot of clued up people who will tell you that even before privatisation things were not perfect or rosy-posey as people might think today. There are probably more cons than pros with privatisation because people at the top get greedy and businesses fall apart and are neglected ect ect but the Government cannot take on and bail out every business. We can see what happens to Government and the economy when they take on or try to take on small businesses and dept and we only have to look at what happened in the Covid years when the Conservatives tried to bail every business out. Very noble of them to try to do this gesture but the truth is some of those businesses would have gone bust anyway and this is part reason why we have so much more dept now. The Ukraine war Covid and lockdowns came along like a bullet train and we can say they are extraordinary times and whoever was in power then would have made mistakes and you can judge that on what was happening elsewhere in the world.

You only need to look what is happening in the Premier League to see the difference, the Clubs are all looking for ways to get around the FIFA financial and they arguing amongst themselves about what is legitimate and what is not. This is the worst aspect of capitalism, trying to find dodgy ways to increase your profits so you can pay your shareholders.

Start slowly by washing the pots will be a great help to your other half and build up confidence by trying a few recipes for baking cakes, Jurgen Klopp is trying that one and then you get the big boot out of the kitchen for making a mess and being in the way so you hog the sofa and watch episodes of Hart to Hart and re-runs of Kojak and when you get bored of all that jazz, you may try Golf? I once saw a fellow walking with two dogs, a Collie and a Lab and ten minutes later he walked past me with 2 different dogs and i stupidly asked him what happened to the Collie and the labrador? I have plenty to keep body and mind active and in fact, I really don’t know how I ever found time to work. I’ve been lucky enough to save for my retirement over the years so holidays and weekends away have been in abundance and although golf is not on my radar and likely never will be, I get lots of exercise from other means and with eight grandchildren I’m not short of company lol. When it morphed into Omicron it gave people bronchitis, much easier to treat and fewer people died although it was much easier to spread by coughing etc. My neighbour's family all got Delta and were very sick, the wife nearly died in hospital. I've had Omicron twice and it was a bad cold.

Agree. People said Liz Truss damaged this country. That’s true but fortunately, she quit and the damages she did was limited and quickly resolved. Her idea is not such a bad one but her execution was terrible. However, Boris is the biggest joke PM in the history of UK. He’s selfish, absolutely not interested in the details and he’s a proven liar. He only wanted Brexit because he saw an opportunity and a path to become the PM. The damage he’s done, with his and Farage’s lies on the rose tinted opportunities if we exited EU have proven to be false - that’s 5 years now after the exit. I don’t think Boris is evil but the damage he’s done to this country will take 50 years to recover.

The Boris post just coincided with the outing of his book and was never meant to be taken seriously. It is still interesting how the character of Boris gets any attention and i scratch my head about any amount of book sales and revenue he accumulates. No one has picked up the resemblance and character of Boris to a Dickens /Enid Blyton or someone out of a wind in the Willows or an old Etonian back in the day cad/spiv/rotter/ you get my drift. Rolled into one a person like Boris with all these traits was never able to solve any problems from the Brexit turnover and i very much doubt many would have gotten any change from our European brothers either. The Covid years is the next big one and again you just couldn't predict it and Boris aside, i doubt anyone else would have made life decisions correctly. Boris and opinion to the Covid is one of those. Did it come from a lab in China or is it simply another flu virus? Flu and cold bugs killed millions a few hundred years ago and we could debate if there was any proper enquiry back then a lot of people from this Country would be libel and most likely prosecuted for the spread of the virus etc. Instead of keeping up the blame game i really think we in this country should draw a line under Covid and the Brexit fiasco. Just make the best of Brexit now because with Boris or no Boris, we did want change and i think a lot of countries would like to break away from Europe also. The lying and cheating from Boris something deep into his character and i guess people still love the old Etonian rogue of a fellow like Boris and his book sells which ask the question, how does he do it?

When a company supplies flatbread to Indian restaurants do they have to sign ma’am disclosure agreements.

Or defence is good most time but it seems to have a blind spot about long shorts which are as important to block as much as shots in the box. We lost the semi-final to Liverpool for the same fault. You cannot leave those to the keeper as they frequently get deflected away from him. I am sure they are working on this in training, when they are not all off representing their country.

The sad truth whatever happens, even if the owners throw money at the club, it would probably the highest we can achieve. The reason for that is we finish top 6, we will lose our manager and our key players. Look at Brighton. They reached dizzy heights but sadly for them, they will probably never finish in the top 4. Even if they do, it would only be for one single season. So enjoy what we have today!!

If i may add, i think the subbing of Castgne may have tipped the balance to City on the right side in particular. We could see Castgne backing off Doku and they had more space etc. Castgne is not the quickest anyway and i might have persevered with Tete but again they are Man City so all this might be irrelevant. Their first goal was a deflection and maybe a few bodies flung on the ground to stop the Alamo and someone taking one for the team was all we can do in desperate circumstances. It was a galavant effort and we were not disgraced so on to the next game. Are there concerns about Traore and should there be? Honestly we knew what we were getting by signing him and everyone and his uncle will say that Traore cannot finish and that is a problem all teams connected with him have had. To be honest, i didn't think Traore would have 90 minutes so many times Marco has played him but i think we can justify that. Barring the City game Traore has contributed a lot of assists that has created goals and he has scored a few more than Pereira, i think i am right saying? Somebody will no doubt correct me. Yes' i also think if Marco is still insisting on Traore 90 minutes, i have no doubt that they will be working on his finishing. I am glad you mentioned the Jimenez back-heel and this is the sort of thing kids talk about in the playground. Maybe we should start a talk about genius past players such as Rodney Marsh, George Best, Berbatov, etc? One of my favourites was Charlie George and i remembered him signing for Derby. I have no affiliation to Derby i just remembered going to the Baseball Ground to see the great man. Something clicked with me and George when i saw the clip of him scoring that goal for Arsenal on the news, great stuff. It was a big thing hearing he signed for Derby back then. The funny thing was Charlie George was more absent because of injuries and sadly he only made so many appearances for Derby but great memories. I still bump into Henry Newton now and again but my allegiance is wholeheartedly to Fulham no worries...

Rather late realising the problem The Man C manager put on Walker who Traoré ran past as if he were not there. We have one of the faster players in the League, and if he can be trained to finish consistently, one of the best.

Traore, ??? the funniest thing i read this week end was traore missing 3 total sitters ,again!! and Marco wanting to give him an extended contract, cant think what was most amazing. HE has very little idea what to do with the ball in front of goal , fast , scary but one on one one forget it,so are we not jumping the gun a bit singing his praises?, we should have well won that game ,and its not the firs time he as missed sitters , hence wolves parting company , please coach him to think a bit in front of goal.

So try to look at the positives. Name another player who created two one on one situations. No one! It was a fantastic performance by Traore. Not a 10 as he didn’t score but a good 8 for me!

We dominated for 10 to 15 minutes, the city support were silent and we sung ‘are we in a library. As we passed the ball around just outside their pen area they couldn’t get it from us, it was a great period but we did not have a shot in that period, we couldn’t get through, what I am saying is why not try our luck and shoot, we may have got a deflection and/or a corner instead of no shot. If you at the game you would know that unless you were one of those who spent more time at the bar than watching the game.

Fulham had control just outside city penalty area without a shot as they failed to cross with no ‘one touch. Fulham did the same to city but they always tried to bulldoze it through getting deflected corners. BBC say they had 8 blocked shots. This is why the big teams win these games, they see an attack without a shot as a waste. I also think being rude to posters is childless, it makes the rude poster look thick. Owen for one should know better.

Traore is never or will never be the finished article and we either accept his shortcomings or we ship him out. Pep has complimented us Fulham and Traore who roasted Walker in the running stakes. Walker had half a yard on Traore yet the big man flew past him and no he didn't score but it was enjoyable and sometimes even when we lose, we can hold our hands up and say' it is what it is. Hands up how many fans or neutrals thought we were in for an 8 nil thumping? We accepted that we would probably lose the game even before kick-off and our record showed just that. It was 3-2 in the end and all parties come away with good things and i say we have many more admirers. Just stop and think for a moment on how many assists and some goals Traore has contributed to Fulham and trust me by season end, the stats will back up the right reasons why Marco signed him. I still say that the subbing of Castgne for Tete was one of the reasons why we lost to City. Castgne is not the strongest of defenders on fast operators like Doku...

Under Roy we played a much more defensive system where did not create many chances but finished most of we did create. Playing under Marco we need to follow the same finishing pattern. All three of Traore chances were we hit towards the keeper rather than away or over him. With extensive practice and help from the club phycologist his finishing may improve. The alternative is at least when he makes his break other must follow to receive a pass in a scoring position.

The performance just shows our improvement this season. Perhaps to be fair to Ted we just have to have more belief we can win these games, we are a decent team with an experienced coach, we shouldn't fear anyone now.

No-one including myself expected anything other than a defeat today, and as plenty of us mentioned on this site earlier, this was a game to prove ourselves, and that we did in spades. At present, we are a really good Premier League side, who can hold our own against any team now, especially at CC. Under Marco, we have come on in leaps and bounds, and let's aim for a finish in the top 10, and as high as we can in that top 10.

You have to subscribe now to watch most of the Fulham TV things, like the 90 minute rerun for example. If it is not shown on the news section you have to pay for it. It is not a lot unless you are very poor or very mean. I do not believe it is Fulham's fault it is the Premier League telling them they must charge.

Owen, your hyperbole of Fulham’s achievements never cease to amaze me and I suspect you have black and white blood coursing through your body. It is a delight to read your articles and even if your imagination sometimes goes awry. Fundamentally, I almost agree with you but it is too early to embark on a lunar trip when there remain various faults that need to be addressed. As I said in a previous post, today’s match will provide a yardstick of how far we have come and if we can just take a few of our chances we may just snatch a point. Fulham have improved, which is shown by our wonderful start to the season but numerous bear traps await us with Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City all displaying aspirations of league title contenders. If we suffer a defeat today the moaners will return and your well oiled cogs of the Industrial Revolution will grind to a halt. However friend, let not this curb your enthusiasm and imagination as our board need people like you to light the flame in the hearts of all true Fulham supporters.

Marco Silva i think will go for broke because he will not get another 100 million. If we sell Robbo the top up money will bolster our attack if Jimenez and Muniz fluff their lines. Our strong point is timing and we have it because in the now our strikers have ample time to prove they cut the mustard well before the transfer window. None are prolific yet we find ourselves in the lofty position of 6th place and Man City is next up. I really believe there is no pressure on us because we are not expected to win so we can play without fear and enjoy the game firstly and you never know...

I can't believe that Kew tip, has the audacity to come on to our site, and talk about us not having to wait long for relegation. With only two miserly victories themselves this season, against lowly Palace, and we all know that Palace were robbed of a perfect goal that day, and Southampton who couldn't beat a carpet, so if we do return to the Championship, it will be many years after the Bees are down to their comfortable Division 1 home. You never know, they might even take point from Wolves on Saturday at the leggo ground, as after all, Wolves are rock bottom, but Kew tip, I wouldn't count on it, and relegation for the mighty bees, isn't out of the question this season.

Palinha isn't Kompany's choice of a defender and in these sort of games a Palinha style lunge in and a yellow is not good in the long run. Marco Silva is a top man at man management and footballers such as Palinha and our Adama Traore are better managed under these types of managers like our Marco. I sincerely believe this and from the information i get from Bigboy' Palinha and wife are separated and that is very sad for him and maybe disruptive. Palinha's move maybe was ill advised and the wrong move for him and family. Unfortunately, ex-Fulham players don't always do well away from our great club...

Raul scored 8 goals in his last 9 premier league games. That's fantastic form by any standard (any top 6 clubs would take that..). I think he has the ability to keep going and score even more. He's a quality player! I agree he's not the long term solution (neither is Muniz in my opinion) but he's young and fit enough to give us a good season.

We have two great full backs as well with Lukic doing a great job of protecting them. We have one of the best defences in the League and must build our from that.
