It’s quite funny how some posters are up beat and others are certain we will get relegated. They are all entitled to have an opinion and some of them will prove right. As fans I think quite a lot of us were slightly concerned after the euphoria of Wembley that we need players to have a chance in the premier league. I was not convinced about our defence and we sorted that out well. Now it’s a striker we need. This is more difficult than defensive purchases in my opinion. We could do without some injured, inexperienced, talentless end of window panic buy. How many players has our “scouting team” identified to date? Have we got any youngsters coming through? We are really poor in the recruitment department and it has been the same since Khan took over. Would not knock the man but surely he knows that our scouting and recruitment teams are completely out of their depth. I feel that we will stay up this season if TK gets a decent forward in, if not I still think we could survive albeit with difficulty. At the moment I would start Kebano up top with Mitro. Cav has had more chances than anyone to prove himself and again in my opinion he has failed. We are short of strikers and fans are saying we need to pull our socks up, all I can say to that is, if we have no socks on we can’t pull them up. Get us a striker TK as a matter of urgency.

Really do hope we sign a striker who can deliver in the Prem or who can create an effective partnership with Mitro. However, I think a lot of pruning is needed in the squad. I'd be happy to see half-a-dozen leave (hopefully to clubs where they will be at the right level and get game time) and just sign 2 or 3 quality replacements. Without wishing to be nasty, of those still getting game time Cavaleiro, Kamara and Hector have really go to go. Seri, Le Marchand and, say, Johansen would take that to 6...though I can't see much of an FFC future for McDonald, Cairney or Ream either though looking across the squad I'd reckon they are worth keeping in the meantime for cover/stability.

Cavaleiro will stay because we paid too much for him, 10 million. Kamara in my opinion will still be here after the clearout because Parker uses him every week and it shows he likes him. I think Hector might survive the cull because of lack of cover? Seri, Le Marchand and Johansen will probably go. Shame about Johansen, he is not a speed merchant, but he still can bring something to the table, good player...

in many areas, Anguisssa is better Wijnadum. Zambo is stronger, he can tackle and with his strength able to dribble through the centre of the field. But Zambo doesn't match Wijnaldum on his final pass and an eye for goal. Until Zambo improves in these areas, he'd struggled to attract the BIG clubs. Anguissa is better than Sissoko. Sissoko is just strong. He offers few options but strength. In 3 years time, out of all the players in the current Fulham team, Anguissa will be the most successful. Lookman is close but he's got ridiculous competitions like Son, Mane, Sterling, etc.

If Mitro was playing for another club in lower league of the premier and like he’s today, not in top form, we would probably consider buying him, and if we did, we would be excited and happy! But we’ve got him and we don’t know how to use or get him to perform. Why!!
Replies
For a start you would look at his stats for club and country and work out why he’s dried up and play to his strengths and if my team were incapable of scoring providing price was right get him in ASAP

Look at Mitro’s stats for the PL, that’s why Newcastle let him go. Last time in the PL I remember watching his gameplay closely and invariably every centre back blotted him completely out the game.

I think we should play the first team players who do not normally start to give them an outing. If we get to the later stages of the cup we need to play a stronger team, assuming we are out of the bottom three by then.

"When you're seventy, you don't have bowel movements any more. You take laxatives, eat bran, sit on the toilet all day and nothin' comes out!” "Actually," said the 80-year -old, "Eighty is the worst age of all.” "Do you have trouble peeing, too?" asked the 60-year old. "No, I pee every morning at 6:00. I pee like a racehorse on a flat rock -- no problem at all.” "So, do you have a problem with your bowel movement?” "No, I have one every morning at 6:30.” Exasperated, the 60-year-old said, "You pee every morning at 6:00 and crap every morning at 6:30. With MAF as our owner he would always surprise us with the quality of a signing. With TK as our owner we would be surprised if we get a quality if any signing. He spent a lot of money two years ago on what he called quality signings some of which we cant even give away. Perhaps he will surprise us and sign Messy and Costa
Replies
I think that this summer's intake was mostly fine and we have options on most of the loanees.

I think that Anguissa and Mitro count as quality from previous signings don't they?.

Maff got it wrong on occasion too and big time with the likes of Marlet for example!

The new signings for this season have been incredibly good. During the MAF era we had some awful signings, some players hardly played and then left, especially the Coleman/Sanchez reigns. Generally though for every good signing you are going to get an iffy one. The problem for us this season lay in lack of recruitment rather than quality, ie striker. We also went into the season unprepared and that could prove to be fatal.

A big gap is developing between the bottom 3 and the rest. I know we played well but as Cardiff owners said, it’s a results business. The positives could quickly turn to negatives. The half glass full could turn into half empty. The decent performance could also be we haven’t won a premier league game since November, and longest unwinning run. I am very concerned! Our next two games in the premier league will very decide our fate. If we lose both we are down. If we win both we have a chance. We also need a bit of luck. I am very concerned.
Replies
I agree John' and what is even more worrying is our lack of finishing in front of goals. Can you believe it' we are creating more than enough chances to get draws or even win, but our lack of clinical discipline is becoming a problem and could be more psychological? Maybe Mitrovic can find some form in the next 2 league games and before our new striker gets up to speed. I am assuming that we will get a striker?

John, we are not down if we lose two games with 18 still to play at that point. Seriously, get a grip; we are not relegated until it is mathematically impossible to stay up.

Newcastle are in free fall, Wolves are by no means safe and we have a game in hand on both. Burnley smashed and grabbed last night and I truly believe that Fulham's first choice defence is better than that Liverpool fielded last night. Burnley v Fulham will be a different game all together and I am expecting a 0-0 and a bit of a blood bath. West Brom v Fulham will be a very nervy affair but I still expect us to come out on top by the odd goal. Brighton play similar to Fulham and I expect us to narrowly lose that game unfortunately. I am expecting 4 points from those three games but I am not expecting Newcastle to get more than one point from their next three but who knows!

It's a weird season and there are many more twists and turns to happen and I wouldn't put us past winning games we had no right to win. Keep the faith ;0)
posted by MST (Moderator) - Friday 22nd January 2021, 6:57 AM

Agree MST, but we must start picking up wins quickly or we will be cut adrift and then it becomes an impossible situation. Games against Brighton and WBA are really must wins and are likely to define our season. Those games will be a real test to see how good Parker is.

I am just going by the points we are accumulating. Not enough and we’ve been playing well. I 100% hope we will not lose our next two/three games. And if we do, pressure will be immense but agree we still have a chance. But we need an amazing 2nd half of the season.
posted by John (Guest) - Friday 22nd January 2021, 10:37 AM

We have played well enough to win quite a few games, but we shoot ourselves in the foot every time. Our inability to convert good chances, plus throw in the odd individual error and we loose the game. The Premier League is unforgiving and all teams make their own luck. Look at Burnley last night. Dean awarded a penalty after Barnes had already taken his shot and missed and he was not going to score. Well if your luck is in , so be it. I'm afraid Parker does not recognize that you can't keep playing against 11 men with 10 and until he does, nothing will change.

It’s only natural to watch other teams around us and hope they lose, that’s the sport of the league. The Burnley match last night reinforces the belief that every game is winnable. Every game we must put in a performance that is the base level for being a professional at our wonderful football club.

Dear Sir, or Madam, or' er' Loftus, sorry to bang on at you and blame you in general for not scoring goals and for missing easy chances that my mother in law would put away. I know you are playing well because the media and some Fulham fans say that you are.? Sorry again to harp on about the minutes Chelsea, 'er' Parker gives you on the pitch which adds up to a lot? A lot more than Kamara features. Maybe all the media attention and critism will stop when we eventually aquire a striker soon? As things stands, and taking circumstances into consideration, anyone in a Fulham shirt and say, 5 yards or so from goal, will cop the flack if he misses the target. I understand that in the grand scheme of things, the more minutes you feature on the pitch, is the more chances you have to score goals? A clever mathematition told me that one at school many years ago. I think they call it stats or odds or something like that? Somehow, i can't work out the equation and minutes per plan with Kamara, excuse my maths i only made it to 'cse' leval Apparently' Kamara featured again for his costomary 5-10 minutes to everyones horror. The keeping on with Kamara is starting to rankle and cause much pain to 99 per cent of Fulham fans. Excuse my poor maths and stats, but i believe that Scott Parker will continue to call on Kamara in some form or capacity for most games. Last thing to say Mr Cheek' is, you should count yourself lucky, because 'Chelski' need to get your fitness up to speed to enable you to 'er' feature for 'Chelski' again and to 'er' make the England squad. It is not all about me 'Loftus Cheek' my striking partner Cavaleiro is also getting it in the neck because of the situation. To sum up this sorry episode mr Cheek' things could be worse and your name could have been 'Kamara' who only gets a measly 5-10 minutes because Parker say's so. I try to work out the stats, but excuse my maths...

So we play Burnley in the FA Cup on Sunday, but does anyone who subscribes to this site really care a jot about it, as we all know that the winner will probably come from one of the top six clubs if they can be bothered. If we survive the drop this season and become an established Premier League club, then by all means give it a go, but not this season. It will however, be interesting to see what strength of side we put out. The one good thing is that It will be the second of Robinson suspension, and he will be back for the WBA game, but sadly he will miss the Brighton game although Joe did alright last night, and Brighton aren't exactly Manchester United.
Replies
I'd swap the FA cup win for 3 premier league points. Nothing more to say on that. Burnley playing tonight so they will field their second team on Saturday, expect us to do the same apart from the few players who need game time like Mitro. Regarding Joe Bryan, he didn't do bad but not sure he did well. Our left side did not look dangerous at all last night and we gave Pogba too much space to shoot. Shows how good Robinson has been playing.

Our position and future prospects are not going to attract top liners. We seem not only to attract overpriced has beens or injury prone payers, but we should look at young players, either in lower divisions or reserve players from top clubs, and double, no treble check their medical history before putting pen to paper, you cannot survive at any higher level with half your team as loaned players.

We now look like a solid competitive team and you cannot fault the effort and the nice football we play but certain players lack that little bit of composure in the final third of the pitch and this is the final piece for this team to get right.hopefully we can find the right solution to this problem and then we will become a very good team

Good players are not going to sign in January for a team in the relegation places. Also the club are not going to offer long contracts either. We need to become an established prcmier league team first. In our position loan players are better,so we can assess them, and are not relegated with a huge wage bill. In our current team, we have players originally signed on loan, which decided to stay.

Let's face it, even if we were an established Premier League team, fixtures against Spurs, Chelsea and Manchester United, both home and away would be difficult matches to win, and that applies to most teams outside the top 6, and we did get one point, that was well deserved, and we could have, and maybe should have had two points, as we were so unlucky to lose to Chelsea with ten men. Now we have got over those three fixtures we can now get on with the second half of the season, and start to climb the table. After the hard games, we are now entering a period of easier games that will either make or break our season, and nether Brighton or WBA are not exactly scary, and Brighton have not won a game at home all season, and WBA are very poor, so we have a big chance of at least 4 points from these games, and hopefully 6. COYW

I don’t get your point about playing top 6 teams ...... we didn’t get more than a single point from the last three games because of woeful finishing .....it doesn’t matter if your playing Man Unt or Brighton .....if we can’t finish one on ones and hit the net from 10 yards out we won’t beat anyone ......no matter who they are.

A very sensible post by LTS, and he is right, our right to be in this league starts here, but frankly if we can't beat both Brighton and WBA, the season it is going to become more and more difficult to survive, but we are a far better team than both of these teams plus Burnley, Newcastle and even Wolves at present, so let's get on with the job, and start putting that ball in the net, which so far is our only failure.

We have no choice but to play Mitro in the upcoming games. He will surely contribute more than Cav.

I think it is a weak analysis. To say they are the top 6 what can you expect is feeble. Do it the other way around and look at all the points dropped by the top 6. Liverpool have drawn with us and Newcastle and Brighton. Chelsea 3 down at WBA and we beat Liecster. All teams drop points all over the place. We are a very competitive team but we don't have a good starting 11. Our goalkeeper looks pure class but he has cost us the last 2 games. I know he made terrific saves in both games but hey, we dropped an excellent Rodak to accommodate him. Cav should never play again. There is more to football than running around like a headless chicken. He runs, miscontrols and kicks it out, he fluffs simple passes. He runs into groups of their players, he miskicks his shots. And Kebano sits and watches. His form at the end of last season got us promoted. So he sits and waits and watches Kamara rise from the bench to get sent off or give a soft penalty away. And now Mitro is being pushed out the door. Too slow for us now, we have to have a pointless Cav that's not good enough for Aldershot. The image of Tete jumping up and down when Cav sliced his shot instead of scoring was pure Haynes. So we take the attitude that top 6 will beat us but we will beat Brighton, WBA, etc but we don't because the mistakes against Utd n Chelsea still happen against Sheffield and Newcastle. We were lucky to get a point against Brighton and Southampton. Where do we go next. A comedy film called Carry on Cav.

Well put Chris, you summery of the present situation is definitely how I see it. I don't know what Cav has on Parker to keep getting selecting or what he thinks Cavaleiro adds to the team above the likes of Kabano . Parker will have a selection problem next match when Bobby Reid is available to play. Who will he leave out? probably Tete and leave our mutual friend in the 11.

Just to prove my point about the top 6 dropping points Burnley win at Anfield. They also won at Arsenal. How? At best the Anfield game was 0-0 with Burnley incapable of scoring until they get a soft pen. At Arsenal the Swiss guy gets himself sent off. Game still going to 0-0 until Abangiyan scores a fantastic OG. Burnley now have 6 points from 2 games instead of 2. How? Is it just good fortune and when is it our turn.

Thought we have been really good over past three games, always trying to play our football, working hard, sure we have some weaknesses, we are not going to have 60 % possession, but we move the ball well. At this level we must convert our chances including penalties. We have lost by the odd goal in the last two matches Chelsea with 10 men second half. Tonight Robinson shows what a miss he is when not playing, he takes the whole team forward. Bryan for me, the only player with no bottle tonight. Was surprised that Kamara was sent on before Mitro. Mitro always give you a target to get around at the end of the game. Really pleased with the way we play, we are now able to compete in this division, we are tough opposistion. Mitrovic needs to play against Brighton and WBA, but maybe as a false 9 in the Kane role, so he can receive ball to feet.

But because we only got 1 point from the first 18 we will have to play like a top 10 team for the rest of the season.

We are playing very well and it is just fine margins and a bit of inexperience that is costing us games. What Parker has done with the team is fantastic and that is high praise from Joka’s Revenge. You can see we are a team that is coached very well now. Yes we need improvements and yes we need a striker. And, let’s get one thing very clear to all those that don’t really understand the nuances of the game, Mitro can not play a ‘false nine’ role he is just not that type of player, not even close. When we go to a back four we can then play Mitro as an up top striker. If Mitro starts when we are in a back three he will have to work twice as hard. And, btw RLC had an excellent game for us last night, yes those misses but his overall gameplay was first class and he kept a very talented Manchester United defence busy all game, especially the second half. But those improvements will mean nothing if we don’t start picking up wins immediately. We have a great deal to be positive about at the moment.

I agree with your reasoning about Mitro but the other problem he has rarely been fit this seen. TC has just admitted he has a recurring injury that he got at the end of last season he cannot shake off it could be Mitro has the same problem but he is a proud man and would be reluctant to admit weakness. A fully fit Mitro would work as he can play as a late in the box striker who could take of advantage of our wing backs crosses and could take advantage of RLC's penetrating run. He is an intelligent man who can change his role if Parker can convince him of its efficacy.

Disagree Joka, Mitrovic could be very effective playing withdrawn slightly, playing centrally, with his ability to hold the ball and supply runners. Especially against teams like Brighton WBA and the likes.

Think we have to accept the likes of Burnley and West Brom and sheffutd play a certain brand of football win lose or draw. Basically physical and confrontational don’t always work against better sides. Now and again they get lucky but very intimidating against the bottom half of table teams always in with a chance need to get early goal to control passage of play. As for our point of view. Got Burnley twice wba Brighton next week 12 points up for grabs will need 9 for a start that should get us back in the mix

I seriously don't know what game some were watching? Scott Parker subbed on Kamara who put in a peach of a pass to Loftus who should be scoring that all day every day. Loftus will probably get motm from sky pundits but in my opinion, he is proving rather frustrating. We have got to stop blaming Kamara for all our failings, because our other so-called forwards are missing sitters for fun! Scott Parker made the correct call by playing Kamara and Mitrovic. Kamara assist was what was required, we failed that one. Mitrovic got his header in which luckily ricocheted wide, and so it goes on every single week. Cavani at age 99 shows what separates intelligent forwards with his goal and awareness in a game. Pogba we gave him too much room to do his thing. Guys like Pogba are world cup winners and the idiots who call him don't have a clue about football. We missed Robinson down that left side in my opinion, Bryan needs to do more. Reid is working his socks off in midfield but we were simply over-run and out classed against utd. They are only one of a few sides that make us look silly so far in the prem but nevertheless, we had enough chances to take a point from that game without deserving to win it...

Our keeper made a terrible mistake and if we had a player who could lash in shorts from 35 yards on a very wet evening we could of won. We had a few shots from distance they all missed by miles.

Jim' i have a long memory. Mitrovic give him his due, scored a hatful of goals to get us up from the Championship. Before he was dropped, Mitro was awful, missing penalties left right and centre and poor finishing with no pace etc. Scott Parker doesn't know when to stick or bust at this time because of poor form by Mitrovic and fitting him into suitable games to suit his style. What about the games Mitrovic cost us? He is on late with a few half-decent headers. One was closer to scoring because of a ricochet. This is not good enough for the prem. We have 2 winnable games now, Brighton and West Brom. Mitrovic and Joe Bryan will get their chances to redeem themselves with Robinson out. Mitrovic should be closer to peak fitness and these 2 games should tell us more before we get the new striker up to speed. Joe Byan can now show us he should be in he team by giving us a stellar performance before Robinson's forced hooliday is over. Again, Bryan cost Fulham a load of points at left-back with Reamy and co...

If we had been able to play Mitro even if he had sat on the last defender it would have 3 less Man U defenders attacking us. Second game our keeper has made a mistake that has cost us a goal, shame as he also makes many brilliant saves. We are two or three players short of a very good team.

Your take on misplaced headers coming on late I tend to look on the theory that at least he’s getting into positions and making defenders nervous presume if he started he’d score more and as stated defenders would have more on their minds than going forward

Looking at their first goal again have some sympathy with keeper think he expected defender to put ball out good reaction unfortunately ball went to Man U player one things for sure he’s as good a keeper as any one in prem if we don’t sign him surely someone else will by the way second goal good pity one of the four defenders standing around was not more intent on making it easy for him to get a shot off

I think Aereloa has been really good but in the last 2 games he has lost us 2 or 3 points. I noticed earlier in the season, he has a tendency to punch and put the ball back into the danger area. I think it's a trait of European football. I was a big fan of Schwartzer because of his communication and aerial ability, which I would argue is more valuable than good reflexes as he was limiting the number of shots on goal through managing the defence and catching crosses.

10 minutes on and Mitro won more headers in the penalty area than we had done all game. Another valiant effort but I'm afraid that with Cavaleiro, Kamara, and Loftus Cheek in Parker's top drawer we cannot survive at this level. These 4 out, 2 strikers in. And I can't wait to read about Parker's pride tomorrow.

Willie2B' the 3 players mentioned are just not in the same league as Cavani who has vast experience. Cavaliero is both hero and villain, and sadly that will continue each week. Loftus Cheek will always catch the eye of the pundits and it is due time that he steps up with his finishing which is really poor. Kamara does not have the luxury of playing in that striker's role long enough. That pass through to Cheek was good enough. If anyone else comes up with a pass like that, he is a genius! Utd show us why they are top because they have fernandez, Cavani, Rashford, Pogba etc. And they were just too good for us tonight. Reidy in midfield is was not enough tonight. We gave them far too much room to kill us, and they did just that...

This game shows the difference to winning and losing in the prem. 2 gilt edged chances in my opinion. The first one was a great pass from our local park player Kamara into Loftus Cheek and he really should be scoring that.

My forecast for tonight, is that United will get a dodgy penalty, and we will probably have a goal disallowed, and Mitro will be sent off. Crickey I sound like BuzziB, but that's how it usually goes against the top teams when we play them ! !

I must admit that the thought of walking through Bishops Park tonight in the dark, the mud and the rain, even to watch us play Manchester United does not sound very inviting, especially walking back to Putney Bridge after the game, if they shut the Park gates would be a nightmare, unless of course if we won then I wouldn't notice any inconveniences.

Buzzi you said the same thing before Spurs and that you’d come back on after the game because we’d get thrashed unlike your valiant 2 nil loss, but you never came back. I guess if you say it before every game eventually you’ll be able to come back here and give it large. Just remember the summit of achievement in Brentfords history is losing to us in the playoff final. You’ve never played Utd in the premier league let alone beaten them at old Trafford like we have.

I hear rumours that FFP is constraining us from buying in this window. Surely FFP should have been suspended during the pandemic. Most clubs will have zero revenues coming in from no spectators etc.

Surely it doesn't apply in the PL otherwise clubs spending trillions would have been deducted points for the last umpteen seasons?!

PL make up their own financial rules, which aren’t transparent or in tandem with UEFA or EFL which obviously causes confusion.

How can it be financial fair play when we have won a £250m promotion twice in 3 years...
posted by O David (Guest) - Wednesday 20th January 2021, 12:36 PM

That includes parachute payments which we only get one payment from the last relegation since we went straight back up and also future parachute payments if we go straight down now and don’t come back up.
posted by Guy (Guest) - Wednesday 20th January 2021, 5:17 PM

Basically David you have counted half to two thirds of the money twice. It’s 250 over four years i think, the big one year one then three parachute payments if you go down and stay down.
posted by Guy (Guest) - Wednesday 20th January 2021, 5:20 PM

I see. So 300 approx available for parachute payments should they be needed, which we took advantage of last season as well as roughly 200 received for first seasons back up. That spending spree last time is looking even sillier now.
posted by O David (Guest) - Wednesday 20th January 2021, 5:29 PM

I think the big one in a normal season is more 100-120 and then parachute payments are less and full amount is nearer 200 then 250 as it decreases each parachute payment. Also, when buying a player you can spread the combined total fee and the full contract for the length of the contract to bring down your annual total for ffp but does mean now we are still paying players like seri transfer fee and contract as far ffp is concerned which limits how much more you can spend this year. Finally this years accounts will be much smaller due to covid like match day ticket sales and the payout to the lower leagues etc... So I think it makes sense we may need to sale before we are able to buy without breaking the ffp

Watch SP interview where he stated the obvious that we need a striker but it is difficult with a short transfer window. Fulham and all that follow know that we needed a striker as soon as we were promoted so the scouts and owner have had plenty of time ti identify any striker and start talks. The other thing that I am confused about is why we have NOT produced any young talent since SP arrived. Almost every club in the Premier League seem to be fielding at least 1 player in a match whereas Fulham could not even find one to make up a 9th substitute against Chelsea -- WHY? FFC have a great record in the past for producing young talent Sessingson, Elliot, Roberts, Dembele, Smalling to name a few but now not even good enough as a SUB. The owner needs to realise that not losing another game this season will see us relegated - We needto score goals and win.
Replies
Agree with you FB, I think a lot of fans knew that we needed a striker before the play offs. Our defence was the priority in the last window and we achieved that. We should not of got Kongolo, we should of got a striker.

If any club had Mitro in their squad, we would be falling over ourselves to buy him, well we already have him, and he will score goals providing that he is fit are raring to go, which I think he is. I hope that he plays tonight and bangs in a couple of goals, which might lead to a few of those ungrateful fans that are getting on his back to give him some slack. Without him we would still be in the Championship, and let's remember that.

I have to agree with Alan to some extent but I think Mitro has been struggling with fitness this season and the way Scott has set up his teams also but he is right in what he is saying and I believe that Mitro will play a big part for us in some of the upcoming fixtures and the rest of the season he is a natural goal scorer and has done it at international legal and will do it again for.us this season.

I can't agree that without Mitro we would still be in the Championship. Yes he scored a lot of goals, I agree but in his absence there is nothing to say someone else would not have.

I also don't agree that I should be thankful to any footballer - it is the other way around that they should be thankful for our support.

Maybe I'm wrong?

AC - possibly but not definitely as someone else might also have scored those goals in his absence - are you forgetting the games towards the end of the season where Fulham scored for fun? Games in which Mitro did not play?

Are you forgetting Kebano who, once he had a run in the team, came into his own as a goal scorer. Who's to say he couldn't have scored the goals that Mitro did if Mitro was not there.

Unless you are suggesting that if Mitro was not there then we would have played with 10 men of course but I doubt that.

I'm just thinking laterally but nobody knows if we would still be in the Championship if Mitro didn't score those goals because someone else might have; so it's a moot point as far as I can see - not a fact as so many people like to write these days when it is just an opinion.

Mitro thrives on crosse. If he plays tonight and we have Joe Bryan on the left, and Tete on the right. Mitro will get more crosses put into him than he has had this season.

Who is the someone else that would have scored the goals of Mitro had not been around. Cav, knock, Bobby Reid. Oh yes, forgot Kanata. No one at the club can replace Mitro. Let's buy someone then. We are supposedly trying for how long. Easy, another Fonte maybe, or Mitroglue. He is tried and trusted our Mitro. You don't owe him anything other than your support. Get behind him.

Mitrovic is a good striker although not to many clubs are chasing him. The facts are we DO NEED ANOTHER STRIKER even SP has said that. You can not rely on one striker you have to be able to vary the attack and cover for suspensions and injury.

Agree to a certain point but the way Scott sets up the team now does not suit his strengths. the team is set up now to try & control the game & rely on breakaways as our main strength. One needs pace for this & this is something Mitrovic lacks? He has been carrying a niggle since the world championships when he played a lot of games for Serbia. Yes I hope he comes back stronger but not for 90mins, he just gets marked out of the game by better defenders that are in the Premiership.

Gaz' maybe some Fulham fans knew deep down that Mitro wouldn't be that great in the prem, but as far as Khan see's business, Mitrovic was purchased for 22 million and Mitro is our main man like it or lump it. I don't think that Khan looks at Kamara as a failure? As far as he is concerned, Kamara who was a 5 million investment, is exactly that, an investment who he expects will give us a return in the future. The only reason i think why Khan will loosen up the purse strings is that we are in danger of exiting the premiership which won't do for business. I also think that Scott Parker would have gone cap in hand to Khan in various meetings to ask for another striker. If there was no danger of relegation, i doubt Khan would care so much. Saying all this, i wouldn't be surprised if Mitrovic finds some good old fashion flash in the box form. It's just that his style is not always workable in the prem, but on special occasions???

Already one down at Leicester, and they are playing against 11 men, so they will find it hard against a team that we beat of course. Pleased to see that WBA lost to West Ham, but they did score a goal, and this is where we are lacking. Watching Scott's interview on the Fulham website, I got the impression, reading between the lines, that there are not going to be any new signings, but I hope that I am wrong. Has anyone else seen that interview, and if so do you agree with me ?

Chelsea are being put in their place tonight by a far superior Leicester, and yet we made them look a very good side at the weekend, so maybe we are thinking that we are better than we really are. Yes we are getting praise all round for our performances, but the bottom line is that we are still losing, or at best drawing, that is not good enough in the Premier League, and we will see after the next two games, if we have any chance of survival, and I am beginning to have my doubts.

We can play football now and we are just as inventive and capable of opening any team up. At this level, we must take our chances, and we must put more percentage of chances away. It is just so frustrating week after week and so many wasted chances that always come back to hurt us looking at results. I am not bothered if a new striker can get 8-10 goals because that would gee me up no end. I don't know why Fulham would embarrass the club by going after that mercenary Dembele? I would rather we go in for Sessegnon because he is a nice kid who loves Fulham and he somehow has the ability to make something happen. We have too many hit and miss players like Reid and Cavaliero. Get the right link-up striker in, and maybe these guys will be more penetrative?

Until the sending off I had a feeling we would beat Chelsea and probably would have so in no way did we make them look good, quite the opposite with a value of talent we can only dream of they struggled against our 10 men. Do not forget we beat Leicester before we got our good defence.
