Why do we have to bother with the dying fa cup, those days are over.
Replies
FA cup is still worth winning and a nice trophy for the cabinet. The only snag is that the teams just below Liverpool will target and most probably win it more so than smaller teams now. If you can't win the prem or Champions league, you want a trophy to satisfy those money men upstairs. Besides, its a nice day out at Wembley and the fans still love the euphoria of the cup. It's a shame that the smaller clubs will have less chance of winning it now. Jose Mourinho would love it for Spurs and his ego, but even he will struggle to get his greasy palms on it...

I think we had already paid the majority of the fee as a loan I heard 6m so we just paid the last 4m to complete it. They said when we got him there was an obligation to buy him cos if we sent him back we’d have lost the 6m. I guess we’ve done this so we can bring in another player on loan like how we paid for Cav now so we could bring In kongolo as a loan.

O'Riley will be off. Too many new boys ahead of him for selection. As for Parker I think he's doing an excellent job as reflected in our league position. He also suffers from the malign influence of Khan junior and his idiotic approach to contracts. Missed Hector for half a season for no reason (never mind the ridiculous FFP excuse), Onomah with a "must play if available" contract, enough walking wounded to qualify for Harry's support( were he still around). The PARKER MUST GO train left the station weeks ago. As the Brexit slogan goes, "you lost, get over it".
posted by The Arizonan - Friday 24th January 2020, 11:39 PM

I'm not saying it ain't so for for a minute, but do we really know the details of players contracts? For example Onomah "must play if available" Is there somewhere in the Fulham website or financial workings that we can check that or is it, like Seri before him, conjecture? Be nice to know one way or another.
posted by Hints - Saturday 25th January 2020, 1:30 AM

It is conjecture but there's no other logical explanation as to why Seri and Onomah were picked after repeated dismal performances, when more accomplished players were left languishing on the bench. Similarly the machinations with O'Riley. He's brought on as a sub, played to MOTM standard according to most and taken off after 88 minutes. He hasn't been seen since either on the pitch or on the bench. He might be injured, who knows? Or the powers that be might have polished his credentials prior to the window opening. No doubt he's being crowded out by incoming journeymen but this, again, is just observation and conjecture. If the club weren't so enamoured with acting all "secret squirel" for no apparent reason we'd all be better informed.

He is without doubt one of the most gifted players in the Championship , and we are lucky to have him . But he does seem to be carrying an injury and looks about 75% up to speed . My main concern is the extra responsibility of captaincy seems to weigh heavily on his shoulders and i think this can affect his game . He is not a natural motivator and tends to lead by a good pass rather than pumping of the fist or a crunching tackle . We have seen over the years , and not just in football , it is not always the most skilled player that makes the best captain . I think a change with us could benefit the team and Cairney himself . But i have a feeling he has it written into his contract , as part of the sweetener , that if he plays he has to be captain , so any change would need to mutually agreed .
Replies
Agree; Hector should be captain now in my opinion and even in our promotion year I thought the capataincy would have been better suited to Kmac....

Agree on Hector being captain, but it cannot happen this time now. It wouldn't do a lot for morale if Hector was appointed captain after being here 5 minutes. Let's see him work himself up to a few more MOTM titles firstly and assert more authority in general. A definite future captain for next season for sure and a more acceptable and smoother transition will be pleasing to the eye...

what a load of nonsense where do you dig this up from the river , if TC plays its written in his contract he is captain ,delusion set in, his contribution is so poor now , big mistake putting him on long contract ,he holds our play slows it down goes side ways back wards he needs a reality check he is not the player he used to be he would not be missed at all

FFS! Hector only played 3 games and you want to make him the captain!! surely that’s an insult to the likes of Cairney, Mitro, SJ, Odoi etc! Get real!
posted by John (Guest) - Friday 24th January 2020, 10:06 PM

Totally agree Owen. I don’t want him to be MOTM every week though, this means we are under cosh a lot. I want strikers to be MOTM. I think the captaincy was part of his deal with the club. He is loved by the Khans so maybe Parker can’t give the armband to someone else. Seriously though, he is not fit enough to play at pace, and Parker May have to play a low tempo game to accommodate Tom. When fit he can control a game, When not fit and plays the team suffer. Put O’Rielly in and get Tom fit.
posted by Gaz - Friday 24th January 2020, 10:08 PM

The.number of games Hector has played is irrelevant. He is obviously a natural leader and organises the back four and defensive midfield really well. None of the players you mention have those qualities. Time served, is not a reason to allocate a captain or Stephen Sessignon would be prime candidate.
posted by MST (Moderator) - Saturday 25th January 2020, 6:58 AM

I do think TC has it in his contract that if he plays he is captain . This was part of the new deal when his previous contract ended and we were anxious to keep him . ( Just as Seri and Zambo A had it in theirs they would only play in top league , hence their loan transfers this season ) . In my view TC would be an even better player without the responsibility of being captain .

We didn't lose to Charlton and a point is useful in the grand scheme of things. I have not watched the game back on Fulham TV yet, but i am more than satisfied that we created more than enough chances to nick that game no probs. Joe Bryan and Hector in particular and Reidy, they all had enough chances if taken to sow up that game. Charlton were the happiest to salvage a point at the final whistle and that says a lot. Their manager say's we play a lot of pretty football and they were comfortable to let us do that. You can get any expert you chose to analyze that game against Charlton, and i am confident that they will tell a different story! Fulham are easily one of the best sides in this league, and most teams like Charlton turn up to stop us playing. Tom Cairney lazy? Some people need to stop swigging that cheap Russian vodka, it sends the brain wobbly. Cairney clearly is one of the best past master in this league by a mile. Even on a bad night like against Charlton he made enough intelligent passes for us to win the game. What do you expect from wing-backs, wingers, etc, they are not out and out goalscorers. Bobby Reid needs to be in or around the goal area to even get a sniff at goal, his shooting outside the area is pants! The same goes for Knockheart. I am not the biggest Parker fan but give him some credit, he has plugged the leak curtasy of Hector. We no longer buckle under pressure. Tim Ream was just laxy daisy and it was not one of his best games. The problem with ticky tacky is, that it requires players around him to move all the time. Reamy stood still and made that pass which was stupid, and around him everyone was static. We will make mistakes playing this way but this is the way to success. Bournemouth are have problems like we did in the prem by playing out from the back, teams are coming on to them quickly. Their win against Brighton was probably a welcome relief for Howe. Confidence is a wonderful thing and i would bck Bournemouth to get out of jail. We are not going to do a Wolves because our Chairman is too conservative with his spending and besides, spending big money like Wolves did back in this league is a big gamble and not guaranteed success. Scott Parker is getting more quality ingredients like Hector to finally perfect our tikki takki football. If he fluffs his lines, then so be it, we go get someone like a Nuno to finish what he started. I should say finish what Slavisa started? Parker is trying to replicate and improve from Slavisa's ideas. I hope the best for Scott Parker, but if we don't go up? I suggest we bring in a charismatic character by the name of Carlos Carvalhal who is 'er' Portuguese. They do have some success in England, ask Mourhinho or Nuno about that one. Carvallhal was up on sky the other day, he would like to introduce Lobsters to those prawn sarnie brigade who follow Fulham. MST might elaborate about that one? That posh lot along with Nigel Havers and Hugh Grant will see us chomping on cucumber sandwiches washed down with Dom Periom. Bums like me will have to stick to a cheap six-pack of lager, but Lobsters will be an acquired taste and worth a try...

Owen, you bang on about Tom Cairney who I think is a half decent championship player proved he’s not up to the premier league(proved last season)and can’t even get into a dreadful Scotland team. As for Slavissa he did a great job getting us up but like Cairney and this time last year proved he struggled at the next level and if he was that great a manager why hasn’t he been offered any premier league jobs? West Ham,Everton several other premier clubs wouldn’t touch him. I’m not Parker’s biggest fan but credit to him for getting us up and around the top end of the league it’s he’s first managerial job and I’d rather put faith and money in him than some foreign money grabber like Rainieri. Wolves got lucky with Nuno watched them go toe to toe with probably the best team in the world at the moment and that’s never gonna happen to us.

Knockheart, Kamara.Kebano and Mitro all possibly returning from injury against Huddersfield according to Parker. Without these players and I suspect others with injuries we only got a point. However Charlton did not look like scoring and we should have. Hectors was a clear miss with his header. Hopefully with these players returning we can make a run. I hope we rest any players who need it on Saturday and give all the fringe players their chance.

I have just watched the 1st half of Wolves v Liverpool, and after watching our game against Charlton last night, it seems like football on a different planet. To think that Wolves came up with us a couple of seasons ago, and to see where they are now, makes me have feelings of pangs of jealousy, and why did we fail so badly, and Wolves succeed and they are now a very polished outfit. Bah ! !
Replies
They invested in the right players when they were taken over while in the Championship. Then they got promoted and invested in the right players again. They had a plan all the way. We got promoted by playing tiki-taka possession football under Jokanovic, then thought we could do the same in the Premier League with our Championship guys plus a bunch of last min random additions. Well good luck with that and so it went. Clubs need to have a solid plan and unfortunately we did not. We seem to have a decent team this time around in the Championship, put together somewhat resembling a plan - except for a few positions and with the question mark on out manager. But yeah, Wolverhampton aka the B team of Portugal have been a refreshing addition to the PL since last season!

Wolves kept the nucleus’s of their team and built on it. We jettisoned our team. That’s the main difference. Add to that our one dimensional play from the back never going long despite having best hold up forward. Wolves also have much higher fitness levels - the stats show that.

Lots of comments on here following last nights disappointing display . Some of the fans commenting seem to be supporting Parker , I find this rather surprising , do people really think that our inexperienced manager has produced displays and results that show he has exceeded expectations from our highly rated squad ? Surely we should be capable of better .

Totally agree....there are a lot of managers getting far better and consistent performances out of squads that are not half as good as ours. So why can't Parker get consistent performances out of the talent pool everyone says we have?

It seems to me that second best will do, we had many injuries to forwards I agree, but setting up the team against a lower performing Championship team like Charlton suggested that Parker was looking for a 1-0. I assumed that Cairney would be pushed up behind Decorva-Reed and Johannson would take up his midfeild place, which would have given us more mobility, as Cairney appears off the pace, with Cairney maybe able to score from a more forward posistion. Why wait till 88 minutes to bring a young quick striker on the field. If we were leading the division, instead of being in catch-up mode these tactics could be excused. We cannot be happy not applying more pressure to Leeds and WBA, their loss of form will not last forever. In my opinion not enough to gain 1 point. As a footnote Looks like O'Reilly can now start talking with other clubs, so suspect another run of the mill midfeilder will arrive shortly.

First of all , I want Scott to be successful as our manager . I like most of what he is trying to do . But to say last night we played with passion and desire is stretching it a bit . We were flat throughout , so slow - why make one pass when 10 will do . We ambled forward , saw nothing was happening like players running into space so passed back to start all over again . Even allowing for the injuries , we had no pace at all . In the last 20 minutes so many sloppy passes , esp from Ream who up until this had probably been one of better players . Passes went to opposition , or behind our players or straight out of touch . We dont seem to be able to break from defence to attack in three or four passes , and by the time we get anywhere near opposition box they have 10 players back . In my mind two points lost .

Agree...it's all down to coaching. We do have some physically very quick players. And, to add on the Cairney issue, he clearly isn't fit at the moment. Watched him a few times in the game yesterday and after making any type of run he had to take a breather, sometimes with hands on his knees.

He doesn't look fit and was our worst performer v Middlesborough. However, I watched the 2 min highlights on the Sky Sports website this morning and he was playing every key pass for the attacks that were deemed highlights. So feel we might be a little harsh on him, still a quality ball player and if pace and dynamism isn't our strength right now, passing needs to be. Best days are definitely behind him but don't forget the screamers he was scoring earlier in the season too.

Not sure if its his fitness or how he's been told to play. Cariney is never go to be fast or able to play with his right foot! that's no secret and everyone know that. What he was really good at is keeping the ball and spreading the ball across the pitch and playing long passes - generally in the attacking direction. For whatever reason, this season he's stopped doing any long passes and everytime he gets the ball, he plays it back. He's almost too scared to take a pass. Hence, slowing the play down. Do you remember Jazzy Richards. No comparison but Cairney is like Jaz stopping the play a lot at the moment. He will only get better! give him a break!

We keep dropping points after points on account the rest of our squad aint that clever, they get close play pretty but goals !!!! nah ! not very good at them . Cannot see us going on a 23 game run with our goal shy mob,we now rely on the defence who have improved since hector arrived , one good buy.

It is amazing that for ages we have been banging on about getting defenders, we got wingers. We get defenders and now it’s strikers. We have not had the best of luck with injuries. No one mentioned strikers when we got Knockaert and Cav, everyone saying the best front three in the division. We can go out and get Sergio Aquero but he would not get the service if we continue to play like last night. Don’t forget we have AK and Stansfield on the bench,Mbenza is on the radar. We should have started with Cairney on the bench, why would an unfit player start in a game that is so important? Look what’s happened to Rashford. We look different class when we play at pace, why play so slow? Is it because Cairney can’t play fast?. Drop him, get him fit and bring him back for the run in.

It's getting very tight in the top 10!! who would have thought Millwall can come within a few points of us! Who would have thought both West Brom and Leeds dropping 10 points in a space of 2-3 weeks! The most important thing is we are keeping clean sheets and we look the more likely team to win. We just have to keep going, stay within 5-6 points from top 2 and stay in the top 6. Our strong squad, albeit quite a few injuries at the moment, will put us in a great position for March and April! COYW

You ask the question " who would have thought that Millwall could get close to us" as if somehow it's forbidden for them to be within touching distance of mighty Fulham.if they win their game in hand ithey will be just two points behind us. And I would suggest a few more lacklustre performances like the one last night and who knows they could easily overtake us !

Admittedly looked a bit light up top,but second clean sheet in a week looking so much more organised apart from a few shaky moments I’ll consider that a decent result,Man City will be a distraction from the league and clearly miss Mitro more importantly he’s goals so decent result home to Huddersfield and another clean sheet we’re back in the game!

Let's put last night into perspective - No Mitro, No Knock, No AK (as has been posted earlier). Charlton are fighting to avoid being being sucked into relegation drop zone. Notts Forest dropped points last night, WBA and Leeds have both been dropping points. We are still up there and in a great position to reach play offs, if not auto spot. Man City in (Crapo Cup) at weekend who cares = more recovery time for our injured lads. Plus the key point of....not conceding. Hector is now looking supreme and doing great marshalling at the back. So well said Chief and ffs lets have a tad more optimism perleeease.

Another gutless performance by our “captain “ who is soft as baby sh*t. No Mitro, AK, Knockaert.....any proper captain who can shoot like TC can should’ve had the stones to be shooting from all over the pitch. He’s looking so lazy and poor the last 6 weeks.
Replies
Agreed, looking slugish but then most of the team were heavy legged apart from Odoi and our new centre back Hector. Also noticed they were all waving there arms and pointing who and where the players should pass the ball to. What is that all about.. They are pros they don't need their team mates to point the next pass for them. Yes we missed a big centre forward last night but can't believe there's no one coming through the youth to have been given a chance last night. Anyway clean sheet and so encouraged by Hector's performance.. Our new captain me thinks!

I agree Dave. From the highlights, TC was in one of his creative moods. The problem seems to be a lack of composure, or confidence, from our front men, who should have converted at least one of the chances. Generally, though, TC is always better when we are on top in a game and doesn't look up to it when we are not. he's still worth his place, but opponents have worked out how to contain him and as long as they have good enough defenders they are beginning to do so more and more often.

David' you hit the nail on the head. Watch the highlights, or better still, watch the game again on Fulham TV. Cairney, not his best game, but he still made some killer passes into Joe Bryan, etc who didn't have the composure and skill to convert chances. A proper striker is missed by the name of Mitrovic. If anything, Knockheart who didn't play deserves more stick for missing a bucketload of chances week in and week out. One main detail Cairney needs to attempt in his game, and that is to load off some more shots at goal. We need to unleash more shots when gaps appear. I think we tend to over-pass too often. I wouldn't make this into a big crisis, Arsenal has the biggest reputation for passing the ball into the net. It's not the biggest deal in our game, we just need to take more shots and basically be on target. We are not conceding many now so there really aren't too many problems we cannot address...

It wasn't our best game, but we did create a few chances against Charlton. Bobby reid found himself in a few positions and he had a few chances, Reidy hasn't got the best foot for shooting a football. His left foot is a touch weak. I don't usually stick up for Parker, but apart from trying out O'Reilly or bringing Kabano on, he set Fulham up okay-ish. We hit one off the bar, courtesy of Hector etc, we had chances folks! Clear the brain-fog from our eyes and you can see we had enough chances to knick that game. We are waiting for Mitrovic to come back along with Kamara. I wouldn't count Knockheart as a striker, Knockheart is useful but he misses chances on goal for fun. Charlton are no slackers when they turn up, and they have beaten Leeds and WBA this season. It is a puzzle why they are in the position they are in, nut they still are a good side. No point beating ourselves up about this result, a draw will do us okay for now. Roll on to the FA Cup and bring the kids out...

I thought that tonight's performance was really awful. So slow with so much side ways passing, and some of our passing was shocking, against a very moderate side. No quacking in their boots from Leeds, only laughing their little heads off watching our tame efforts. Here we were with a great chance of closing the gap on the top two, and we blow it once again, mind you Notts Forest also blew their chance of overtaking us as well tonight, so it's a case of no change but they still have a game in hand of us, so appalling as we were tonight, we are still in there with a great chance of a play off spot.

It is possible we could be 6th after Saturday’s games. To much passing backward, no speed, we could hold up a sign to tell the opposition what we will do and let them get ready. When we took unexpected pot shots v Villa it worked, why not keep doing that.

One of the worst games I have seen for long time . Charlton delighted with point but for us two dropped . Parker says the team played with passion - not from where I stood . We had no pace or desire to hurt Charlton , so slow and even our usually good passing was off especially in second half . Plus was clean sheet and Hector . Based on what we have seen this season whoever goes up will be relegated by Xmas !
posted by Davidk (Guest) - Thursday 23rd January 2020, 8:32 AM

Davidk, I thoroughly agree with you, as this must be one of the poorest set of teams ever to form the Championship, and whoever goes up, whether it is us or another three hopefuls, they will face a swift return, unless they change their teams completely with big spends, although we proved last season that even that didn't work. Look at both Norwich and Villa this season, they looked like they had strong sides when being promoted last season, and a quick return for them is on the cards, and they will no doubt lose some of their best players. Providing that we retain the majority of our squad in the summer, and add a couple of strong Championship players, we should have a good chance of winning the league in 20/21.

With the disaster that is this season in the league with Parker in charge, our only hope is to push in the FA Cup. We must win on Sunday if we want anything from this season.

Seems like we are serious about getting Mbenza from the Terriers and Gibson from Burnley. Don’t know much about both of them but a few clubs are interested. Are we getting ready for the big run in?. Another striker and another defender. That’s seems to make sense to me. Quite an impressive squad.

Pep and other, managers are complaining that there is not enough time between matches for their players to fully recover. Must admit I felt that even before we kicked off again Boro we had an advantage as they had been involved in a a tough cup game just three days before. Are tv companies such as Sky, BT etc putting viewing figures above all else. Long gone are the days when footie meant a Saturday afternoon 3 o'clock KO! Sure you will have thoughts about this !
Replies
Could not agree more, the weekly chores rota always involved leaving Saturday afternoon free on match days, scarf your mum knitted around neck, rattle in hand clutching your programs and listening to the roar as the players came out of the tunnel, watching the half time scores manually put up on hoardings either end of the ground, often back to front or upside down, happy days

I posted the following a while ago but it is still relevant so will paraphrase my original post:

The EPL and EFL need a winter break to a) help prevent preventable injuries and b) give players time with their families at a precious time of year and c) reinstate the FA Cup as a flagship tournament with kudos to all that play in it.

If the last league game of the year was played on the last weekend before Christmas and the next game was the 3rd round of the FA cup, played on the second weekend in January then, I believe teams would not play second string or injury plagued teams in the FA Cup.

Lower league teams need the FA Cup and the League cup as revenue generators so scrapping replays would not work for me but playing the semis at a neutral ground like they used to be, returning the kick off to 3pm on a Saturday and banning all league games on the same day would also help.

Players are not machines and I don't hold with this train of thought that they are fit so should not get tired. They are human, the same as you and me; a little younger and fitter maybe but they have the same body parts and putting their bodies under undue stress will inevitably lead to injuries and sickness that could be preveted by a winter braek. Four games in a 10 day period is just madness in my opinion.

The likelihood is that we will lose to City on Saturday but a replay at the cottage would be fantastic for those fans that cannot make it to the council house and the game would almost certainly be televised so would be finacially acceptable to FFC. If that puts our next oponents at an unfair advantage so be it but I want FFC to be in as many competitions as is possible and at the end of the day it's the same for all clubs.....

David, you really need to see someone about you superiority complex, Your inferiority complex, your lack of a sense of humour and your inability to mix sensibly with your peers.

The most ironic thing though, is that you call people out for "so called" bullying (which it isn't by the way) yet the vast majority of your posts consist of made up nonsense about me and you very rarely (if ever) post about football matters or FFC.

I was always taught that if you don't like what you see then don't look at it then it is impossible to be offended by what is, let's face it, harmless high jinx to every single person who contributes to this board except you. When you point your index finger at someone David, your other three fingers are pointed back at yourself so maybe it's about timne you realised that it's you with the problem....

Badger, you’re right and you’re wrong. Parker has worked with team for YEARS, and it shouldn’t have taken him so many matches to realize the kind of impact KMac would have. The guy may run slow, but he reads the game fast, positioning and passing far better than a highly touted player like Seri. Plus, it’s a team game and TC and KMac complement each other really well, always have. Parker ought to have seen that. And our form has been much better with Odoi at RB or LB — which Parker was forced to do with Steven Sessegnon out injured. That said, the players are playing for him, Reed and recently Knockaert putting in shifts. Still not sure Onomah has won his spot over Arter or StefJo, but the kid is improving. So it’s really a mixed bag, can’t blame fans for pointing out the shortcomings.

Unless we completely lose our form, over the final games, we look destined for at least a place in the top 6, and therefore a play off spot, so who do wer reckon will be our main challengers. I see that Notts Forest won again today against Luton, and they are only a point behind us now, but have a home game against Reading in hand. Brentford can't be ruled out. Swansea are hanging on in there as well, and Millwall are coming with a strong run, so it looks like being a fight till the end to get to Wembley, that is of course if we don't get into an automatic place, which is doubtful, as we do tend to throw away some easy and unexpected points, as we all know. The game at Charlton can't come soon enough, now we are clicking into gears at a rapid pace. I like our rapid start to the first half against Boro, it was good to watch. Yes, our intensity slackened off more so in the 2nd half and that is quite normal considering the circumstances. Our players are only human folks and even 10 Usain Bolt replicants would not be able to keep that pace and intensity up. Our only failings were that we didn't score more goals with those host of chances we had. We have to be happy to see the volume of chances created without Mitrovic and Kamara as target men. Who needs Kamara, one might say? Or Josh Onomah, or Tom Cairney? etc. Guy's' we have bodies, surplus to requirements you might say? There are a host of teams from the prem to the Championships that are desperate and crying out for players because of injuries. We have ammo, we are blessed! Now it looks like we have finally found a missing piece of jigsaw in our defence by the name of Hector, we can all breathe a sigh of relief at long last. Too soon i might hear? Didn't you feel a little more secure with our extra insurance policy doing his guard duty around the Cottage? If and when i buy a mutt, i am calling him Hector-Churchill-Van-Dyke. If you see a guy around the Cottage in a AK-47 Fulham shirt, and straining a bulldog at the leash, you will know it's me!!! They should let me in Craven Cottage free of charge for my intelligence. Anyway, back to the football. I want to give Tom Cairney a shout up again because he wasn't quite fit. At age 28 this kid has still got his best years in front of him. I know he is too quiet for captain material but who care's? A properly fit Cairney on Weds night will be chomping at the bit to get in on a piece of the action. We can't have Hector hogging all the limelite, i feel others along with Cairney will want a slice of the goodstuff too. Hey' we can cake-walk this division, and i think our players know this now. COME ON YE FULHAM!!!! (Er' still eating humble pie)...

Try not to get over excited. We have clicked into gear and looked like Real Madrid on many occasions this season, then flopped in the following game. Fully expecting a lack lustre 1-0 loss

Did you see the volume of chances we created d? And that was without a proper target man, no Mitrovic! I am expecting big things will happen now Fulham have at last found that missing jigsaw, i will let you work that one out on your lonesome. Last point is, this is a 'eat humble pie' gig! That means if things go belly-up, 'er' we just eat some more humble pie, so i can't lose really in the grand scheme. I can take it on the chin mate! Anyway, first or 2nd spot is now warming for Fulham and i am whistling dixie!!!!!!!

There is a sense of if you have an opinion different to the bullies, you’re not a Fulham fan and most likely a Brentford fan. Unfortunately the moderators (one in particular) are divisive figures themselves and have allowed for this community to be split in 2 by failing to moderate effectively. I regularly have my posts deleted by one moderator in particular and he treats this like his private message board and will not allow anyone to be critical of him.

Hi Baz. Agreed. I like and respect wht you write on here so apologies for the ambuguity. Didn’t want to single MST out as I get deleted every time I do.. fact is that he is a homophobe and allowed it to take place on this website as well as joining in. I cannot sit by and let that slide. As strongly as you and I feel about racism, I feel about homophobia.if I have to step on a few toes to make sure he doesn’t get away with it, so be it. There is no place for homophobia anywhere so this message board is no different - the clubs offical stance is in line with my thoughts. You’d get a lifetime ban on the stands. Anyway, again apologies not aimed at you - poorly phrased in fear of the lord and saviour hitting that delete button.
posted by David (Guest) - Monday 20th January 2020, 11:39 AM

But ever so slightly aimed at me David. BTW ffs stop the homophobic slant to each and every one of your posts- it's really now getting very tedious.
posted by Marbella White 1 - Monday 20th January 2020, 11:47 AM

It actually wasn’t aimed at you MW, didn’t remember you being a culprit but thanks for outing yourself. You guys seem to see it as a badge of honour apparently so Ffs stop with the homophobia Instead. You guys only have ypuprselves to blame. Not a single apology from anyone for any of the homophobic comments on this site.instead you all bully the people who got offended. Can someone explain why racism is a no go but homophobia is literally okay.

Agree 100% mw , he keeps banging on about homophobia it’s gone beyond tedious , let’s hope his posts keep getting deleted , or he has the sense to stop .

The more I get deleted the more I will post. MST cannot treat this as his personal message board. He has no right to moderate with his outdated attitudes and backward.

Oh Dear, here we go again. Can we all calm down, I am sure one really dislikes anyone 'just because' at FFC. I am sorry I replied. Can we just move on...please.

David, you treat this board as your own , why don’t you take your homophobic views somewhere else , no one on here is bothered by your comments, you just make yourself look ignorant,
posted by Pete (Guest) - Monday 20th January 2020, 1:13 PM

And what have i said thats homophobic? I'm ignorant? The very fact that none of you will condemn homophobia smacks of ignorance.
posted by David (Guest) - Monday 20th January 2020, 1:20 PM

David , the fact we don’t post on a football message board condemning homophobia doesn’t mean we are homophobic. Again , this is a football board , let’s keep it at that ffs.

Raymond of Croydon, you are just digging up an old, tired, almost deceased fake news item. everyone knows mitro is injured, and spurs need a striker now. if he was fit, they couldn't afford him anyway, and are in no position to bargain. you shouldn't believe everything you see on the Croydon advertiser website

A nun is undressing for a bath and while she's standing naked there's a knock at the door. The nun calls: "Who is it?" a voice answers: "A blind man". The nun decides to get a thrill by having the blind man in the room while she's naked so she lets him in. The man walks in, looks straight at the nun and says: "Corrrrrrrrrrrr, and can I sell you a blind dearie...?"
