Manuel Angel and Hugo Larsson are both in London having medicals with Fulham. Agreements are now in place with Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt, respectively. Angel would be the third Real Madrid youth graduate to be signed by Alvaro Arbeloa if the deal goes through.

It continues to amaze me, how clubs like Manchester City and Chelsea, who have been held to account for their overspending, and could possibly have points deductions, are still spending millions on players, with no reprimand. If we did the same thing, we would be pulled over the coals for it, plus we would have a points deductions. Why are City and Chelsea, still getting away with it ?

Do you think he will ever recover he’s form? frankly, he’s been a bit of a liability for the team for some time now. This is largely due to his lack of pace. But I think it’s a little bit more than that. He doesn’t strike me as someone giving 120%, like Bassey, at the moment. He seems like his cruising along. Anderson never really had pace but he was a very smart defender and able to bypass the mid with his pin point long passes. He’s going neither of that. So I am concerned he’s peaked. Having paid £30m for him, I like to think we can get more than 2 seasons from him. Anyone share my concerns? I would love nothing more than Anderson proofing me wrong at the next match!!
Replies
We overpaid on Anderson... plus he's on a silly long term contract.

From reading collective posts on site, most point to specific areas where we, the supporters identify as requiring attention? By now, 'AA', from friendlies, training and 3 matches must have worked out for himself 'problem' areas; One would assume that from this a complete overview regarding the squad strength would be made of an option to either 'transfers and U21 players available? 'Angel' from RM, a good option, captain of 'Castllas' team, no-stop runner and fast. Apart from that I have not seen any intent or statement from the 'board' to support re-enforcing areas which have been required since pre-season, yet here we are on deadline day? Does FFC's board members think that they are not accountable to the people who actually support the club by purchases of season and match tickets annually .. TALK TO US PLEASE, EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE IN THE USA?

Eintracht Frankfurt midfield prospect Hugo Larsson is on the verge of joining Fulham on a permanent deal in a deadline-day move. According to an update from reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Fulham and Eintracht Frankfurt have reached a verbal agreement over a €25 million deal for Hugo Larsson. The Cottager have been eager to bolster their first-team squad by signing a versatile midfielder in the final days of the ongoing transfer window. Anyone seen him or know about him other than usual you tube cr@p?

Sadly another two cast off signings to follow. . Why does Khan continually buy real injury prone, second team players and who are both inexperienced and NO PREMIER EXPERIENCE. Hugo Larsen who? Not a regular at Frankfurt , injured and no form last season. The other youngster from Madrid again same story either Ariobala.

So apparently another young Madrid player youth team to join. Already many of us don’t see they are ready for this tough league. Also Frankfurt midfielder, again not main player bad injuries and we are looking to buy him. Sorry guys with this shows no clue in recruitment time and time again spent players, not first team selection and injury prone. Proven quality players are needed for us not gambling with an apprentice under 16s manager and third rate signings. With Tony Khan this will always be the same. A father that gives his son this role who’s way out of his depth.

Been a fan for over 60 years and it never ceases to amaze me how pessimistic our so called fans are. We have a new manager and some new players. They don't have magic wands, it'll take time to bed in. Snap judgements on the new boys aren't very supportive, real fans will support and encourage them. I wholeheartedly agree we need a right sided centre back but I'm not giving up on the rest of the squad. COYW
Replies
We'll keep this simple NRL' we beat Palace Saturday and apologies will come like confetti. Sunderland were way open and presented us with enough chances to score goals but we didn't. If Palacious gets 90 minutes he must deliver more than he has been doing it's very simple maths really. Gonzalo we can excuse because he doesn't get service which is the norm in a long while now at Fulham, join the club. We are used to Muniz missing easy chances so why not give him 45 minutes if Gonzalo is not in the game? Give Smith Rowe more game time if Palacious is struggling but it won't happen. Arbeola will stick to Palacious, King, and Gonzalo and thats my prediction because Arbeola is all so predictable after only two games. Don't wait until the game is lost before we react. Up to 68 minutes is enough suffering for us fans, Arbeola must ring the changes sooner. Game plan? I don't see it, but hey' i am no expert.

I want to make it clear from me, I was happy with players , in new system worked hard v CHELSEA unlucky not to get point . With ten changes and some youngsters in v Wimbledon saw promise really injoyed game. Sunderland first half scrappy, hard place to go kept our shape 0-0 happy getting on top second half. Castagne has done as good as anyone in new system, to take him off and play SESSEGNON at right back was a poor error by manager from there the defence looked poor game wasn’t great but could of been good point . Then the way the manager took none of blame and had go at players in public, anything he had to say should be behind closed doors. As you said there learning new system. Yes they made mistakes, but to say they were not working hard is out of order and a worry. You lose more than 1-0 if you don’t work hard at SUNDERLAND

Very long time fan longer than 60; years it’s not so much the way we are playing basically same sguad as last year 3 big outgoings two of which I would have kept dioppe and lucik and the lad who went back to Spain would have let Wilson go. Not so sure of our incoming players yet cant say I’m to impressed but it’s early days would have expected at least one point by now we have a few tough fixtures coming up we could find ourselves pointless before first break think we have a better group of players than the promoted sides so if we are not adrift to far should be ok ( 3 points Saturday would be great Every body seems to be spending fortunes on average players meanwhile our new manager played Bassey out of position first game could be argued he had no choice think he had a choice Bassey need to be on left brings sess on as right back he’s not a right back back think he could have made a different choice presume he replaced an injured player don’t like bobb and king starting together at the moment should be brought on later Think ffc should have given more thought to new manager appointment should have brought in frank add insult to injury little bees splashing the cash hate to say it looking pretty good playing in there particular. Style need three in today doubt that will happen over the years I’ve seen this club do everything ( apart from winning a cup final and a prem title so I’m not panicking just yet but I’m concerned about our attitude although we played with more purpose. When behind as we normally do need to start on front foot

This theory that going to Sunderland was a very tough fixture. I agree that last season it was, although we did win there. However, this season both home and away, they are looking a very poor outfit, and will struggle at the bottom, like us. I fully expected us to have come away with at least a point, and we would have done without AA's poor subs. My faith, even at this early stage, is beginning to slip on AA, and without a vast improvement, he will be gone after 10 games, as the Khan's, and us, just don't want Championship football next season.

So Mr Khan has no clue who to sign as quality premier proven signings. Look as the Madrid two and Charles! Ridiculous gamble also with a manager who has never experienced managing a team for a full season. He’s been under 16 manager at Madrid. You could not make this up. We will face strong relegation battle without doubt. Come on guys we need 5 players of quality to compete now and we won’t get that. Palacious not up to pace, Gonzalo no way premier calibre and Charles sorry don’t sense quality to create and compete. We are really weak every where and so sad. Best signings we can make is sign the Brighton and Bournemouth scouts and wow then guaranteed quality players to come to FFC. If only!

Beat Crystal Palace or holding up the league at international break. Not an expert but players can't seem to win the physical tackles. Always shy away from shooting but prefer to dribble balls into the net. Watch Pickford..most times he hoofs the ball upfield for players to run onto and at least get the ball into opponents half....Leno likes to play short passes to the backs who can't wait to get rid of it. Not enough balls go into the opponents box. Looks like a hard season..what a disappointment ??

Anderson needs to be replaced. Tete, half season player at best - good luck Everton. Charles a Rolls Royce that needs to start. Awobi needs to play further forward, Palacios needs to spend time in the U21s and only play first team football in cup games to bring him up to speed. King needs to get on the weights and carbs to bulk up. Gonzalo needs better service and may get it with Charles as playmaker - if he does he will score goals. Bobb needs to shoot more. Kevin needs to out on loan. We need - right wing, two centre backs, right wing back, and goal keeper to put Leno under pressure. There are worse teams than Fulham in the league so expect us to escape relegation……just!

Just over a day to go, and TK, and big daddy, look like letting us down once again. It's an ever repeating story. I am really jealous of clubs like Brighton and Brentford, and among the lower clubs, who get things done well ahead of the game, as they have owners and board members, who are football people. It's no good saying that a season in the Championship would do us good. Ask West Ham fans what they think of being in that league, as it's not proving so easy.

unlike many I still have faith in Arbeloa. Your summary is spot on and i am concerned we are trying to squeeze a square peg in a round hole at the moment! I mentioned before, i am not sure we have a squad of energised and physical players. I like our new additions. I really like both players from RM. But they are not adding muscles and stamina to our team. But it is easy to say we send so and so out on loan and play some in U21 - there would be no squad. We have to stick with AA's plan. The worse thing is for the team to get confused with how Marco played and how AA wants to play. That's exactly what happened on Saturday. Anyway, I am still excited by the prospect and let's wait another couple of months to judge AA. We can't throw the plan out after 2 games!! We are not Forest or Watford!

So it seems quite obvious that we will struggle with relegation this season. Obvious signs, totally inexperienced manager, no full time managing in any league . Under 16s at Madrid and thinks his recruitment from Madrid will work. So far no way good enough for this premier league. Palacious way off speed quality and keeps giving ball away. Gonzalo not even present yesterday. And can’t see him adjusting to premier pressure. Shaun Charleswhy? Team got relegated and he again looks out of place. We make permanent signing of another forward yet to play. Tete goes when better than Castagne and if there’s an injury to him, who slots in? Sesignon is left footed not viable as shown at Sunderland. Theses appointments massive gamble and won’t work. No more signings? Tony Khan has no clue. So it’s sad. That cannot see things improving with all of this.

Of course it could also be them local property owners wanting the demise of the club so they can keep their jogging routes open through the park and along the river on match days not to mention the local traffic. They hate us and would love to cause discord and unrest from within. BBC etc hate coming to the cottage because they cant get away early because of local traffic. Or a putrid mix of all of them. True fans don't turn each time a result or performance does not go their way. Look at Wimbledon support. We are winning the battle because the ground is still full. They would love to create unrest and have us booing the team off. No.

Last season we had wingers and over lapping full backs that were taking on defenders and crossing the ball for a striker who could head the ball . Now we have Bobb constantly passing the ball back inside and a striker who doesn’t win headers . For the last 15 minutes yesterday we should have put on Muniz who would at least unsettled their defenders

I was ok with our first to games made mistakes v CHELSEA but played well properly deserved a point . In cup v Wimbledon good result with squad players and youngsters doing well. Sunderland was scrappy game hard place to go, but got in half time 0-0 with not many problems not great football but kept our shape. Start of second half seemed to have more control. Then the subs were such poor management.as soon as he put SESSEGNON right back (no fault of his) I expected the worse, arguably CASTAGNE has suited he’s system more than anyone both players looked shocked. from then it went down hill. To then dress the players down in public was poor management when he was as much to blame getting a draw would not of been a bad result we’ve lots to sort out behind closed doors. Never has a manager so quickly and changed my opinion over night hope I’m wrong

I am willing to give anybody a chance, and I don't normally make rash decisions early, but despite an early excitement when AA was appointed, I am beginning to feel quite worried, as to his attitude and playing style, and fear that what he wants, is just not going to work, here at Fulham. We must admit, that Sunderland were pitiful yesterday, but we ended up far worse than them. Of course it's all conjecture at this time of the season, but we will do extremely well to avoid the drop. If we don't improve considerably by the International break, TK, will have to consider a replacement Manager, as this guy will take us down. Don't go for McKenna, as he always ends up relegating his teams. The trouble is that after tomorrow we will be stuck with the squad that we have been left with. We have the basis of a good team, but we are not playing like it.

That includes Tete to Everton . So 3 good players sold to rival prem sides - and based on what is happening elsewhere for a pittance . Our squad is weak in experience and numbers - i think we have 23 in our first team squad , most others have 28/29 . We need a dominant central defender and a creative midfielder at least . Too early to get negative but signs not great .

If it is true that Tete is off to Everton, it will be a bit of a disappointment, but he hasn't exactly been a regular, and he is prone to injury. As Diop, Wilson, and Rual, who left us, how are they doing. Diop, was part of 5 goals conceded by Ipswich yesterday. Harry was on the bench, and was hardly mentioned in the highlights, when he did come on. Rual is still scoring his penalties for Wolves, but none so far from open play, so was losing these four, if Tete does go, such a disaster, if as expected we haven't yet finished buying new players.

I have no idea if it's the players who don't know how to play how the manager wants or if it's the manager's fault but at this rate AA will be gone by Christmas and I am reconsidering my forecast of a 16th finish way lower.

Who is he? Arbeola must not make that talking to the press mistake again! Stand up man' and take some of the slack, say it was your mistake too, it was my fault, i put that team out, anything but shove all the blame on players. What he is saying about the Chelsea game is not a lot of sense because we still lost the game. Arbeola is to reliant on Palacious and Gonzalo who are clearly not up to prem quality or i can be gracious and say they need no more than a 15 minutes run out if we are 2-0 up, they are simply not good enough! If i am wrong, i will be the first to apologise and we will know more about Arbeola and how he is setting up for this season at home against Palace. I just hope we have not signed a Walter Mitty of a manager who believes in his own hype and let's see if he can do subs when the obvious time to do so and that is when we have our backs to the wall. Please make me wrong and make my post look like nonsense going forward, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Early days but today was poor. We don't have any one that can tackle. Iwobi is not a centre mid. Charles looks decent and needs to start. Palacios will come good but at the moment miles off. Kevin is a confidence player sitting on the bench won't help. Sess has to start he's better than Robinson but prefer him further forward. No width today easy to defend against. Still rate Muniz at 1 nill down surely you stick 2 up front. Was confident after the chelsea performance. Didn't turn up today. Back the boys and fingers crossed

We have a squad full of decent wingers but we are short of decent central midfielders. You also need attacking full backs who keep crossing. We have an active striker try and getting the ball to him as often as possible.

As Owen said, set up like a Marco team. playing across the back, progress painfully slow. Their goal Anderson yards away. Another mistake by Leno, who stands with the ball for minutes at a time before we try to work around the press, long balls by him cut out by defenders. Tactically clueless at corners. Palacious should have been subbed at half time. Absolutely shocking performance, Sunderland were really poor, the match a terrible advert of the league we are in. From what I saw the players do not want or like the effort involved in the managers ideas. Can we beat Palace next week, on this showing. No. This was a big risk appointment, more so now with continual removal of players with experience being replaced with players who have been playing in Spanish football. This is called REAL MAD RID

Today we played the worst team in the Premier League by a country mile, but we lost to them 1-0, so we have now taken over the the title of the worst team in the Premier League, by a country mile. Lose to Palace, as we usually do, and we will be in big trouble.

Sunderland are not the worst team in the league as they finished 7th last season four places above us and are in Europe. We hardly won any games away lasts season, we will win a lot more than that when they fully realise what the manager wants. I am sure he did not tell them to keep running down the wing but never make a cross. Constantly passing sideways in front of the penalty are will not create chances.

Really can't believe what I have just watched on Sky The Fulham game against Sunderland what a disappointing display We had no idea and definitely the players looked light weight Passing was awful When we did look like getting into their box lost the ball easily or guess what passed it back then buggered about passing it sideways We don't seem to have any team tactics regarding the attacking side of the game and certainly none at all in defence a total embarrassment At this rate unless 3or4 players are signed before Monday night who are big and strong the team will definitely be relegated Complete shambles

My response below is hopefully to point out how stupid it is to announce that Fulham are favourites for relegation we always are anyway every year. It means nothing. I would rather see our worst now, and edge forward positively and see what we are learning going into our coming games. Now the manager needs to earn his money. And yes we need a strong calming influential mid fielder, which i believe most of us recognise.

John you can only comment on what you see. Today’s performance was pure unadulterated C**p. If you want to delude yourself fine but don’t criticise others for stating both the obvious and the truth. They have to earn plaudits otherwise it’s criticism. Which today is totally justified. Put in a good performance and the critique will be different.

Chelsea changed goalkeeper this week because Sanchez was poor so bring in Martinez. Sanchez should have covered that shot from King last week. Arbeola thinks King is a genius along with Palacious, and Gonzalo and thats the problem. Play these 3 every game and we will be rock bottom at Xmas.

Arbeola and system has not solved our problems going back to Marco Silva. Infact, we look like a Marco Silva team set-up. Palacious and Gonzalo are too lightweight and they bring very little to the table. Palacious looks seriously underweight and sadly not strong enough to cope with bigger players in prem which is a worry. We can excuse Josh King but the two Spaniards don't look ready for battle in this league sorry to say. It is a nonsense bringing Smith Rowe and Kevin on when nobody know what system or how we should play going forward. I hate to say it but i think Arbeola is a touch amateurish and a bit green to management. I could be wrong and he makes the needed adjustments quickly before we sink further. A high press is okay if we can drop back into shape and cover the gaps teams are attacking and thats the problem with the high press. The maths will only work out better if we take our chances when we create them but we don't and thats the problem. We have problems taking our opportunities season after season and no solutions with any manager for a long while now. Chelsea and Alonso address problems immediately, as you noticed after their win against us starting with their goalkeeper. These little details are massive in the grand scheme of things.

Bring Sessegnon on as right back sub was the worst example as a commentator said as a defender you are moved the side you do not play it is alien to you and it is difficult to adjust. That was correct and proved so, their goal game from a missing right back.

I think there will be a cameo role for both Palacious and Smith Rowe tomorrow afternoon. The gaffer was most pleased with the shift Smith Rowe put in against Wimbledon and a rare 90 minutes for Rowe i should say. Maybe 90 minutes will be a stretch for Rowe tomorrow and i can see Palacious playing a part also. We need the combination of these two operating in between the lines and i think they both can play an important part in our game tomorrow. I suspect that Andersen will be back for this one and Cuenca will step aside for the time being. If Muniz gets the nod he must take his chances because Brobbey will be dangerous. This away game is a good test for our footballers to show how much they want regular first team appearances and Arbeola's high-pressing game will require maximum effort from start to finish.

Do we need a Harvey Elliot or a Loftus Cheek? Yes' both useful attacking mid's, Loftus is powerful and Elliot good industrious and can score the spectacular but let's see what we already have in Palacious and co. We have plenty enough players in midfield now and a lot of finding out to do. I say no more in this transfer moment and wait and work with what we have. Transfer windows come around often enough and if we are lacking, we can always look again at these two. Last thing to say, hating on players gone by is a pointless waste of anybody's precious time.

We are as usual quite slow, in making new signings, but looking at our squad in general, over the last two games, I am asking myself, if we really do need any new signings, as this present squad seems strong enough to be a good middle of the table side, and with what looks like a talented of youngsters coming through, further progress is looking good. I will probably be blasted for this, but we shouldn't be buying for buyings sake.

I want Kevin to do well, but that run on goal in the second half one on one with the keeper, was this a classic example of a totally one footed player?
