Not football connected, but I have been knocked sideways by Ann's dreadful death, Whatever political party floats your boat, you must have been shattered like me, that this colourful women, who spoke her mind, whether right or wrong, did not deserve to die this way.
That's about the third politician that has been murdered, just doing their job. As much as I dislike Starmer, I would hate to see him perish to thugs. It's a wonder that Nigel Farage, has had to pay for his own security. That 5k will luckily have helped, from a kind doner.

I agree nobody should be murdered by a burglar or by anyone else. Such people like the burglar used to be kept in a prison or a mental home. We cannot now afford such protection and it is considered cruel.

Agree it’s very sad anyone should be murdered this way what ever you’re status . The country is to soft with criminals, let them be put in overcrowded prisons. There in there for punishment. But no they want there human rights. So let them out to murder again. What above normal people’s human rights

Was that the police that said it was a burglar?

I regret that it’s the world we live in now LTS! Lives mean nothing to some and people are treated like a video game where killing earns brownie points. I saw someone driving in the fast lane less than a bicycles length from a motorbike at 80mph the other day. I’m sure the car driver just saw a chunk of metal rather than a human life! Longer prison terms without parole would help but we don’t have room in our jails. I don’t agree with capital punishment but maybe that’s the only solution for heinous crimes - it would certainly free up some prison space. I read recently that someone got six years for lying on a CV yet manslaughter gets 18 months. Rant over!!

I just believe that two wrongs don’t make a right and taking a life for any reason is wrong in my opinion. Just my opinion.

A woman of strong religious beliefs and high morals. The death is made all the more horrific by the open gloating of left wing commentators online. Just confirms the need for the likes of Farage to have security details. The Mayor of London travels in an armed convoy of 3 armoured vehicles all paid for the taxpayer. Remember that the next time he is on tv declaring how safe London is.

Very eloquent counter argument Paul! And they allow educated people like you to vote; nice!

This is a government that wants to ‘assist’ the mentally ill and the old to die. They have passed legislation to have babies who’ve gone through full term pregnancy to be sucked out of their mothers bodies into a sluice but release murderers and rapists onto the streets early and won’t consider‘assisting’’ killers to die. Something is very wrong.

for each murder victim. Two members of the killers family should be hung and the murderer himself put in for life

Each to there own, just find it odd how we now have youngsters who have a mind set of look at me mate and your dead!! dont seem to worry them that 25 years of there lives are over ,so if there make up is such would the death penalty alter there thinking??? before crime comitted. Dont think any knows why so many kill and it dont bother them ,jezus can u emagine 25 years same routine day after day for no end result. Can u emagine love of your life dead but the perpetrator still living

Sad death! Very sad. She left politics 10-15 years ago so unlikely be politically driven. She doesn’t strike me as someone with an enemy bad enough to kill. I would hate to hear but would not be surprised the death is down to some stupid robbery or burglary! But that is the state of affair in this country. Someone said above we are too soft on criminals, including petty crime like burglary. That’s 100% true and it’s a slippery slope! Poor Ann. A terrible dancer, some dodgy political view but she was harmless and nice and honest person at heart! RIP

Sad to hear the news about Ann who was very decent nice polite and gracious. God rest her soul. We need punishment and the bad guy's should be locked up because wicked is wicked and no soft touch or analysis or the woke thing of working out if the bad person grew up without a father and all the other nonsense will do anything or solve anything. England has gone too soft, too woke and it will get much much worse and sadly it won't get any better.

I know that I am a bit late, adding my condolences to Ann's family, whoever they may be, but I'm extremely sorry about her tragic death, by some inhumane monster, who should have a public hanging, if he is ever caught. What is this world, or particularly this country, coming too in this day and age. The trouble is, whatever clowns we have in our government, at present, have no ideas, as to how to stop these young idiots running wild, with knives, machetes, and even guns, in most parts of our country now, especially in London. To be honest, I'm always so pleased after visiting CC, to see the green fields of Surrey and Sussex again.
