What’s this Harris done to be called a superstar ? Nothing , that’s why he’s at Exeter, below average according to the Exeter message board.

If you read the interviews Gary Caldwell did speaking about Luke Harris he wants him back on loan for the season as he feels league one is his level and would not be ready for championship football

Scotland were awful yes but the people saying they are going home are a bit premature. 3 points could be enough to secure qualification. a victory against the Swiss which is very possible could send them through. and lets not forget that makeshift England defence is yet to play! our old boy and current boy could cause some serious damage tomo... will we all be saying England are going home if they lose tomorrow???

Silva demanding his transfer targets are met to rebuild squad after Palhinha, Robinson, Tosin, Willian, Parreira, D-Reid all set to leave. Silva will be given a war chest of £100m to do so and expect players to come in from the Portuguese league and also Menghi from Luton. The squad does need to freshen and we can only trust Silva's judgement as we have no other scouting network.

It may have taken us a little while to reach the top division, but promotion to Division One was finally secured for the 1949/50 season as Fulham went up as Division Two champions. THE 50S & 60S After struggling to adjust to the step up, Fulham finished bottom of the First Division at the end of the 1951/52 campaign. We had to wait seven seasons for a return, although the Semi-Finals of the FA Cup were reached for a third time in 1958. With that momentum, the Club pushed on and made it back to the top for the 1959/60 season to usher in what is largely considered as one of the most exciting eras in Fulham’s history. The Club would spend nine seasons in the top flight (our longest spell outside of the Premier League years), thanks largely to a wonderfully talented group that included the great Johnny Haynes, Tony Macedo, George Cohen, Jim Langley, Alan Mullery, Bobby Robson, Graham Leggat, Fred Callaghan and Rodney Marsh.

If Fulham are prepared to sell, we can probably get a combined sale of 100-120m for Palhinha, Robinson and Perriera. If the club prepared to spend that plus any surplus we got after FFP from the 50m we got for Mitro last season, we have a decent war chest to rebuild the squad. It could be a disaster if we get it wrong (but we have a decent record) but equally, it will be exciting and could be a game changer if we get it right! Sell all 3?

You have to factor in wage costs for FFP it isn't just about transfer costs. So, actually the war chest will be much lighter than most fans think it should be.

FULHAM ST ANDREW'S The Club was born when a school teacher and churchwarden formed a team for local boys at Fulham St Andrew’s Church in 1879. Although cricket initially took the priority, seven years later, the team won their first silverware, the West London Amateur Cup, beating St Matthew's 2-1 in the Final. NEW NAME, NEW HOME The Club's title was shortened to Fulham Football Club in January 1889, meaning the original nickname of the Saints had to be dropped. As results improved and progress was made, we also found ourselves a new home – moving from park pitches, pub changing rooms and a groundshare with Wasps Rugby Club to a seven-acre site located on the north bank of the Thames. CRAVEN COTTAGE In 1896, after two years of development, the Club finally took residence in their new home – one that would not only match our ambitions but also offer a more secure foundation to move forward. Fulham won their first home game, too, beating Minerva 4-0 in the Middlesex Senior Cup, and very quickly the symbolic relationship between Club and ground was forged. To this day, few clubs can claim to be more synonymous with its home.

Hear is a poem I wrote on the history of Fulham My Family’s Obsession My family’s obsession, Is Fulham Football Club, Who I first went to see 65 years ago. They play at Craven Cottage, On the banks of the river Thames. In 1879 the vicar of St Andrews Church, Spotted boys kicking a ball in the church yard, And he decided to form Fulham St Andrews FC. When the club became bigger St Andrews was dropped. Just before Craven Cottage was built a man called Mears, Offered a stadium called Stamford Bridge for Fulham use, But the owner of Fulham said they preferred a riverside stadium. Mears founded a club called Chelsea to use his stadium. The ground was being built at the same time as surrounding housing, The builder asked if they wanted to turn the stadium plans 90%, To allow them to build a much bigger ground, But the club felt they could not afford or utilise such a facility. Most of the time I have supported Fulham they have been poor, And consequently, occupied the lower football League divisions, We were in the relegation places of the bottom division, When a manager called Micky Adams took over. He got us off the bottom and got us promoted. Then a rich man called Mohamad El Fayed purchased us, And we have not looked back. How did I get my love for Fulham, My grandfather moved from Norfolk 1902. Where he was a farm labourer and moved To Fulham where he became a postman, He started supporting Fulham, a 5-minute walk, My Father & Mother followed his support. I was born in Raynes Park, in Merton Park Hospital. And my father took me to matches as a child, We took our Children to the ground, And they are keen supporters as well, My family have continuously supported Fulham FC for 120 years.

If Fulham FC accept anything less tha 50 million Euros (£45 million) from Bayer Munchen we will have been robbed. Our player says he only wants to sign for Bayer Muchen, then let him fund any difference because other clubs should be allowed to bid. We need to get market value for our best player and be more commercial in our transfer dealings.

Fulham forward Jay Stansfield is limbering up for the new season with a personal fitness camp in Dubai, according to the Lancashire Evening Post. The England under-21 international is set to be a key part of Marco Silva’s first-team squad during the forthcoming campaign after two successful loan spells at Exeter City and Birmingham City. The young striker scored thirteen goals in 47 games despite Blues’ relegation from the Championship last term and Silva, under whom Stansfield scored his first Fulham goal, has confirmed that he will part of his plans for the 2024/25 season.

We all know these are rumours, we all know it is speculation until it is announced, we all know so many factors to getting a deal through, we all know sources can be wide and varied, we all know part of the fun in the close season is the speculation. So, to people like Ted, enjoy and stop being so miserable, it is puzzling why you bother to read the posts on this forum and even more puzzling why you post your banal comments.

Nonsense, Fulham do not need to sell nor will they be bullied into selling. Joao will go yes based on agreement he had with the club but the club has already sounded out potential replacements and have a decent amount of cash to spend this summer.

Yea. A decent amount of money to spend, but we would have had a lot more, had Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi, two selfish players not gone off to the African Nations Cup and disrputed our team half way through our season. Sign European players not those from the Dark Continent because the Europeans in play the same interanationals as we do. Beside half of the African continegent are suspect when it comes to fitness and routine.

Bayern Munich believe they can complete the signing of Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha before the start of the European Championships, according to reports from Germany. The 28 year-old Portugal international saw a proposed £60m switch from Craven Cottage to the German giants collapse last September, but Sky Germany reported on Friday that Bayern were ready to resurrect their interest as they look to bolster their engine room options having finished third in the Bundesliga last summer. Reporter Florian Plettenburg says that Bayern, who have already verbally agreed terms with the player, are in advanced negotiations with Fulham and are confident that they can clinch a £38.28m deal before the Euro 2024 tournament gets underway on Friday. Reports from AZ Munchen also claim that Palhinha has had a positive discussion with new Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany and that a deal with Fulham is very close.

Sad to see him leave and i think we might have held on to him. It is most likely we can't accommodate 3 good left-backs and it was purely a financial decision at a guess. Our main man at left-back is Robinson and followed by the excellent Bassey. Bassey is well committed to his country when the African nations come around and unfortunately, we are left short of cover when he departs. Other than that i think in the case of Toure, he will most likely need more game time and that is understandable.

You heard it here first from the Real Scout that Tosin would sign for Chelsea, the same Real Scout that told you all Mitrovic was leaving to Saudi before it made media, the same Real Scout who told you Palhinha wanted to leave for Bayern last season a deal only thwarted by Fulham not getting their replacement player signed. That deal will happen late in this window and will leave us weaker.

Sess will return on a free transfer to fill in at left back as Robinson is leaving to Arsenal. Sess is injury prone and far inferior to Robinson. Our squad is getting weaker and weaker these past few seasons.
Replies
Inferior is the wrong word to compare Robinson against Sessegnon here because they both have their plusses and minus or weaknesses and strengths. Robinson is blessed with pure blinding pace and is not always the perfect defender but he has the speed and recovery to rectify a mistake. What lets him down and us to a large extent is his inaccuracy in his final ball into the money area and i think you will agree that misplaced passes = not many goals which is one of a few reasons why we finished where we were last season and a few. Sessegnon if signed will have to get rid of some of that body fat and he will be perfectly fine. Speed is not his biggest asset but he is quick enough and he has a little bit more finesse and trickery about him and his final ball will be a lot more accurate. If Sess is signed i even think that we can play about and rotate him a bit further up and not necessarily at left-back. We will need a few more squad players and playmakers that can make an impact. I like Pereira and on his day he is brilliant but sometimes we need a change. Pereira and a few need more competition to wake them up in my opinion...

Reminder back in 2022. Who is the new Wales and Fulham wonder Luke Harris, the Fulham youngster people are all talking about. The 17 year old has been named in Rob Page's latest Wales squad ahead of the upcoming UEFA Nations League double-header."I want to see him play for Fulham’s first team. Then, if we can get him there, the world is his oyster." Fulham youngster Luke Harris hasn't yet seen a single minute of Premier League action, but it's fair to say he's still making a big impression at Craven Cottage. Now, with just 45 minutes of senior football to his name, he looks poised to be given a chance at international level, having been named by Rob Page in the latest Wales squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League games with Belgium and Poland later this month. For more Wales football news, sign up to our newsletter here. His inclusion is clearly the big headline, but even the most avid members of the Red Wall might might well find his name to be an unfamiliar one. There's clearly a level of excitement within the Wales camp around the teenager, while Fulham's under-23s boss Steve Wigley similarly believes the teenager is destined for the top, having watched him come through the age grades in west London with apparent ease. At just 16, Harris was one the first names on Wigley's team sheet last season. "The only time he’s missed out on playing is when a member of the first team, who’s come back from injury, comes down to us to play," explained the former England under-21s coach when discussing the youngster last November. The midfielder, who was born in Jersey, has similarly impressed while making his way through the age groups for Wales, and Wigley believes his progress at international level has perhaps slowed down what he feels is an inevitable rise to the senior set-up under Marco Silva. "One of the things we’ve not been able to do, because of him being on international duty, is send him up to train with the first team when their players are away on international duty," Wigley explained. "He’s been away with Wales U19s, the U18s and now the U17s. "The next step for him is to train with the first team and we’ve very fortunate to have a manager [Silva] who likes to have a look at young players. He watches all of the reserve games and when he’s got seven or eight away on international duty he takes four or five from my group." It should be noted that Harris perhaps isn't quite the finished article just yet. Indeed, he struggled to really get going during his first senior outing for the Cottagers as they slumped to defeat to Crawley Town in the EFL Cup earlier in the season, and was substituted at half-time. He wasn't the only one to struggled that day, mind, and that difficult night shouldn't dampen the excitement around his future. "He has been in the system now for a few years. He’s a talent and an exciting prospect. He’s doing really well at his club and he scores goals," Page said of Harris. "When you have someone with that talent - albeit that he’s just turned 17 years old - then I am not bothered about his age. "I have shown that in the past with Rabbi (Matondo) and Joe Rodon and DJ (Dan James) and others I have worked with at under-21 level and the younger age groups. If I think they are good enough, they will come in and be part of the environment. "For these two games, I think it’s a great opportunity for him to come in and get a taste of it, to experience it, and for us to have a look at him. We can see what we have seen at club level. "I like that he’s an attack-minded player, but he also has an eye for goal. When you have someone scoring goals - including regular hat-tricks - then it makes him an exciting prospect and one I can’t wait to get involved with the other boys." Two years later he is still Fulham’s wonderkid on loan at Exeter

Pete is this why Steve Wigley got moved away from coaching the U21s as like yourself reading that article he also obsessed with Luke Harris all very strange. Wigley predicted he would light up the premier league what was Fulham doing sending him on loan to division one Exeter if he was supposed to be Fulham’s next superstar

If the powers and 'er' brains that be can see a cunning plan and a snifter and smell of a good deal, we could and should go after Anthony Martial who is surplus to requirements at Man Utd. Martial has a high opinion of himself and in his mind he is the main man and a striker who can get you or anyone 20 goals and he is aching to prove it. The only obstacle and problem i can envisage is the enormously big and stonking wages he is on at Utd. The sort of pay packets even the likes of King Charles would be embarrassed to pick up past the treasury. Martial would have to doff his cap and swear allegiance to Fulham Fc and take a pay cut and the equivalent of a knee in the privates where it hurts. Martial can compliment and be a big part in the striking role alongside our improving Muniz who will need a willing partner. We also need another cunning plan and another partner in crime and why not our boy wonder Sessegnon? Willian is not getting any younger and we will need another play-maker who is capable of unlocking defences with stealth and trickery. Sessegnon can do this job and score goals as he has proven with us before his departure. Before we all go off in a hissy fit and much protest, we should look at our current midfield and see that not enough creativity or impact is coming through from the likes of Pereira who has been here long enough now. Sessegnon at age 24 and on a free is bargain of the transfer summer window and we could and should welcome him back...

Sissigone is injury prone and let’s face it, his best years are behind him, he’s grown fat and lazy and would expect top wages. If we were going to take a punt I’d sign Calum O’Hare, who I said we should sign a year ago. United have been trying to sell Martial for years but his agent has been running rings round them. Imagine what he’d with the naive negotiators at Fulham over the years.

12 Months on from his celebrity pose on the Man City victory bus Jack Grealish who was the star of the show after his 24-hour bender is dropped from the England squad. When you hear telltale comments such as 'It was entertaining to see Kalvin Phillips pour liquid from a bottle straight into his mouth, Gazza-style, as the party began' it is blatantly clear to any half-witted idiots who think they know something about football that Grealish is still trying to sober up and not quite on his game for a while now. If any footballers still don't know it, Alcohol and any sort of minuscule units or unit just doesn't work in a small or large fitness regime. Sorry' i should correct that statement. Alcohol is okay maybe at pub-level football where a mistimed tackle from a burly thug imposter pretending to be like a John Terry can hack the legs off a donkey and see you in hospital. It didn't work for George Best or for Paul Mearson and lots of others from past to modern so how will it work out for Jack Grealish? We might not like an absolute professional in Ronaldo who eats lives and breaths football or the perfect Gareth Bale who did after a game of football go back home to mother and most likely an early night before the next game which seems ever so boring but hey' it works and maybe your longevity and career is so much better. Better than being dropped and wondering why or how it happened and the same ole' same ole' question. 'Why always me'???

Non drinkers don’t live longer but it f@cking feels the hat way. In 20 years time there’ll be no pubs or alcohol allowed in the UK caliphate.

I have no problems with the odd Makkies or even one or two of the gravy stuff or Guinness Paddy sitting in my armchair but when it comes to the football and points, i don't want to see and here that some of my Fulham are worse for wear or even a tipple. The bar is set so high now and players are razor-sharp and fitness is a make or brake. Grealish is fortunate in that he can have a few benders and jolly nights out and still get paid even when a few weeks later he starts to click again. Unfortunately, alcohol does not make an athlete better but the opposite...

England demonstrated once again that there is no chance of them ever emulating the hero’s of 66. Southgate has had plenty of chances to establish his Euro squad but appears to have no more idea of his best eleven. He has been in charge for eight years and managed to reach the European Final in 2020 only to lose in the penalty shoot out. Strangely, it was rumoured of laying on an open top bus for the team to celebrate their achievement. Iceland played sensibly and packed their penalty area to frustrate Southgate’s typical Parker ball approach when it screamed out for a direct approach. The Euro teams managers will have been watching and I am afraid they have not seen anything to worry them. We have not made any real advance over Southgate stewardship although, in all fairness, tonight the players let the manager down. Yes, I know the players are tired at the end of a long season which has seen some of the players being forced to play two games in a week when they needed more time to rest and count their money. The expectations of England winning the Euros is just a sick joke.

I have lived in London all my working life and have followed the young academy prospects for the last decade. There is no doubt in my mind Luke Harris is the most exciting player to come out of our academy way ahead of Harvey Elliott, Fabio Carvalho and Matt O’Reilly in technical ability. All those three are gone Fulham tied down Luke to a very long contract which was the first player they have done this with so that tells you something about how highly he is rated at Fulham

So we now have our squad, mmmm, looks very weak to me , a striker who aint scored in eight games a striker who got 27 but cant score for england so is that the coaching ??? and a striker who scores but has back problems and this is several games after each other.A mid/f who cant score unless its walked in nothing from 15 yards or 20 yards nope walk it in one more silly pass , oh dear we just gave it away, a keeper who play all by him self in his area tip tapping to any one who is near him , clear it is not in his hand book , untried player who look good at club level soe of the time but this level , we can only hope .listening to those guys yesterday stepping of a landing craft into 10 feet of water and just going under, wow, and back to reality watching 100 grand a week players screaming that they broke a nail and playing two games a week ,oh my god how do they expect us to do that ??thank you to them all.

The Club is pleased to announce that Josh King has been selected as our 2023/24 Scholar of the Year. It’s been a fantastic year on the pitch for Josh, who began the season with the Under-18s before quickly making the step up to Under-21s football, making 10 appearances for Hayden Mullins’ side in PL2. Josh scored on his U21s debut back in October in a 4-0 win against Leicester City in the Premier League Cup; a competition that our Young Whites went on to win. He signed his first professional contract in January and was on the bench for the First Team in Premier League fixtures against Burnley and AFC Bournemouth a month later. Josh King poses with the Premier League Cup trophy Off the field, Josh has worked just as hard as he has on it. His dedication and tenacity has seen him enjoy success in his three A-levels; French, Maths and Psychology. Studying three A-levels is impressive in itself, but when you consider the intensity of Josh’s football commitments, his achievements are even more applaudable. Josh’s dedication to the entire scholarship programme means he also contributes hugely to the ethos and culture of the PDP. He has demonstrated his maturity and leadership skills by being active in supporting his peers. After winning the award, which was presented to him at the Premier League Youth Development Conference, Josh said: “I’m buzzing to win the award. It was a great season and I’m grateful to the people who chose me for the award. “It was a successful and enjoyable season for me personally. The U18s programme with Ali (Melloul) and Jos (Andrew Joslin) really helped me improve and then I managed to quite smoothly progress into U21s football. “I’ve managed to get my head down and I’m always looking to keep my standards high on the pitch and in education as well.” Congratulations, Josh!
