Reform UK’s deputy leader has admitted the party cannot deliver the £90bn in tax cuts promised in its manifesto, saying it would concentrate on public spending cuts once in government. Unfortunately there will still be some people who believe that Farage is the saviour of the UK. In my opinion, the only way out of this mess is to cut taxes (obviously not £90b) which will create wealth and encourage spending which, in turn, will create growth but what do I know?? Public spending cuts never solved anything.

Farage is a vengeful Messiah, be careful MST, you’ll get your digital ID blocked and lose access to that gold plated pension. All hail the Messiah.

MST, you and I could run this country, better than Starmer and his bunch of clowns, at least between us, we have a lot of business experience, which is more than Rachel from accounts. I am not a great fan of Farage, by a long chalk, but him and his business experienced team, I feel would do a pretty good job, if his REFORM party, are given the job, after the next election. Come what may, the horrible thought of the stunt crazy Davey and the Greens running the country in coalition, would be our biggest nightmare ever ! !

There’s never been more lies (to win election) in politics in my lifetime! This is driven by social media where very gullible people are being fooled by false promises (Brexit, labour growth claim, etc etc) with very little education and even intelligence to critique. The next election will be won by the one who lies the most!

LTS, like you, I'm not a great supporter of Nigel Farage, in fact he irritates me at times, but I do feel that he is Britain for the British, and he will control our borders far better, than this mob. LTS, I noticed that you didn't mention the Conservatives in your posting. It's a shame but at present they are falling by the wayside, and in four more of this dreadful ruinus government, maybe they might make a comeback, and be the only party to challenge Nigels Reform Party.

What is there to lose by voting reform
Cons and labour are both taking us all for a ride, Green Party says woman can gave penis , liberals are not worth it. We have to stop illegal immigration and reform seem to be the only ones willing to take it on which should bring a lot more money into the system

As previously indicated, in order to stop illegal immigration, you have to change the law and Reform will not be able to do that without representation in the House of Lords. The rules on asylum are that you take refuge in the first safe country in which you arrive but these people are travelling through several “safe” countries in order to get here because those countries have passed laws that prevent asylum seekers from receiving any kind of aid. Take away the aid and you have a real deterrent but that will never happen in this country because we are an empathetic nation.

John, you’re absolutely right. Social media is the scourge of modern society. Borne out by Covid conspiracies, Brexit claims, internet scams, etc. My post although genuine, is slightly ironic as this is a social media site lol.

Thatcher was the beginning of the end as far as de industrialisation of the country. Shutting the mines led to the situation we’re in now, basically a vassal state to every country that actually manufactures anything. Was begun under Wilson but accelerated under her and every subsequent government. We need to get drilling and digging, then start making things or we’re lost. In fact I already think we probably are doomed but what’s the alternative? It’s either Rodney the Plonker making himself look like a prat or Bad Enoch, daughter of the NHS tourist. Reform aren’t perfect by any means but what else is there?

MST there’s a big difference between this forum and social media. Having opinions and prepared to be challenged and debated is healthy and this is how humanity have evolved in the last 100 years since the birth of democracy. The issue now if we have people deliberately making false claims and lie through their teeth, with enough audience through social media, knowing more people will believe than not, they say what they want. While I applaud the peace in Israel and Gaza, you heard how lies were made and propaganda were made. But knowing the coverage, there will be more people believe in everything said than not. Until social media is regulated (like banking), which will never happen because it would take US to hammer their own companies, it will only get worse and worse. Humans will turn into robots while robots will take over.

Paddy you are so wrong. I agree with MST that Margaret Thatcher was probably our best PM in modern times and stood up to and curbed the dominance of Union power which had been destroying democracy. If you believe it was it was sensible to mine coal five miles under the North Sea at three or four times of cost of coal from Poland then you are mistaken. Led by the despicable Scarsgill, funded by Moscow and drawing his full Union salary, whist the miners got a pittance strike money. In addition, his accumulated wealth was unexplained. If you do not believe that Moscow did had its claws into Labour MP’s,Union leaders and even MI5 then you are being very naive.

Russia, China, every Arab nation with a few quid for bribes. Every politician from every party is on the take and most of them aren’t even aware. Why would they want us to be producing our own energy? Get the drills out, get Taff off his benefits and out of his motability car and down a hole digging up all that lovely clean coal.

Paddy, for your information, Labour was responsible for closing more mines than the Conservatives and had been at long prior to Mrs Thatcher. In addition, when William Penny was developing the atom bomb for Britain, Clem Attlee, probably Labour’s greatest Post WW2 PM, only kept only a few of his colleagues informed as he later said if he had informed the Cabinet then Moscow would have known within the hour. Churchill and Attlee had great respect for each other and Attlee gave Churchill his unwavering support in the War Cabinet. After the War Labour won an overwhelming victory in the General Election and set about implementing considerable changes to improve then prospects or the working class. The introduction of the wonderful NHS system which treated everyone and become the envy of the World and for all its faults today is still providing help for the majority. The move towards state ownership of essential industries which was an excellent moved but subsequently ruined by the rise of Marxist led unions. As an aside, Churchill wandered in to the Gentleman’s toilet and saw Attlee standing at the first urinal and quickly moved to the far end. When Attlee queered why he was standing so far away, Churchill replied “ well Clem if you see anything big you nationalise it”.

All countries deserve strong and centre right leadership.
Margaret Thatcher gave Britain that.
Contrast that with the weak and gutless Starmer.
Ditto Anthony Albonese in Australia.
He is known as "each way Albo" in Australia.
We are watching society crumble in both countries under the weak and woke leadership in place now.
Better study Islam and teach it to your grandchildren as it will be the future language of the Western world.
