I have just been reading our match report in the Sun. There were three quite long columns about the game, but apart from giving our line up at the bottom of the third column, we are not mentioned. What is it the press don't like about us

Eleven successful penalties in the prem is exceptional and we have to say congratulations to Jimenez for those perfect stats. Honestly though it should have been out of sight and goodnight irene if Jimenez could and should have wrapped up the game point-blank. For many weeks now i ask the question why does Marco have him out there for too long to suffer and make us watch Jimenez make a fool of himself but i am not the manager and through gritted teeth, i admit that i am wrong about Jimenez and Marco is so right to keep him on and going for all this time. There is a flicker of hope for someone else in our camp and i like the little cameo role of a measly five minutes when Jonah came on in the 85th minute or thereabouts and he looks more than okay to me. I note that Calvert-Lewin has started to find his scoring touch with Leeds and I considered him a talented player. Two of our posters suggested that he was worth taking him from Everton on a free transfer although most considered at 28 he was past his best and too old. When I recall some players of a bygone era playing and scoring goals well into their thirties. He would have been a good acquisition on a freebie and Leeds are reputedly paying him £100,000 a week. The question I am asking myself, is going into January, after these quite horrendous fixtures, could we find ourselves 3rd from the bottom, with a real fight on our hands to stay up ? So far, Kevin has failed to live up to expectations and needs to show we have not wasted money on a player unable to adapt to Premier type of football. Our game against Forest is very important as we are both struggling and we are missing some of our African contingent Forest have recently started playing more like they did last season and we may well .come to regret failing to sign Hudson-Odol.

A win Monday night will be the perfect Xmas present for Fulham fans and it will shut down all the doubts and the snidey remarks from all the doubting Thomas fans shooting arrows in Marco's direction lately (including me). We could and should have signed Hudson Odoi before the start of the season but for one reason or another we didn't! Odoi is one from a long chain of players from a rich Chelsea academy with more money than sense. He has an impact in games scores goals and he is a match winner and just another player in a long line that we missed out on. We have what we have now and no doubt some such as the likes of Adama Traore will be moved on in January. Traore was never the most accurate or much of a finisher but he has his uses, the dilemma is how to play him and what combination of players to play him around. Pheew, we chose him so we need to crack the puzzle, over to Marco. Kevin is our latest dilemma and yes he is another player in a long line of talented Brazilians we signed and again it is Marco Silva's project and problem to sort out. I would hate for Kevin to get stick and fans booing him because i think he is a fantastic talent who needs nurturing to bring out the best in him. The problem is we don't have the time to molly-cuddle these players, we need answers and results asap. Hi all. I am busy writing a book on Fulham's Greatest Ever Match. I think few would disagree that it was against the Italian giants nearly 16 years ago on what became a highly memorable evening at the Cottage. If anyone would like to share their memories/recollections/thoughts on the match, the atmosphere, the goals, etc, etc, then I would be delighted to publish them in my book. Average team, top team, or park team, the manager is the boss who decides to make changes for the good or bad, effective or ineffective and the ability to make changes that can turn around a match from a losing position to a winning position is a fine art and that's why they get the big bucks. A year ago Marco was compared to Oliver Glasner of Crystal Palace and there was not much in it on an ability level, apparently, until we lost to Palace in that semi-final and we know the rest, they go on to make history and win a trophy. Glasner and stock is now up and his cv is updated and he is wanted by some bigger clubs. Marco Silva has demonstrated good ability to ring the changes and players brought on make an impact 6 times out of ten or however you want to gauge it. Glasner has gotten one over us every time i can remember and Palace have beaten bigger clubs time and again. I am just not convinced lately that Marco makes the right decisions and i still think his subs and timing is awful and leaves a lot to be desired. Glasner apparently is stalling on his new contract just like Marco Silva is. I can't blame Glasner for holding out and he wants assurances on Marc Guehi staying rather than leaving etc. Palace have lost some major players in eZE , etc yet they still maintain form and beat top teams. We Fulham have gone backwards especially in defence lately after looking good for 20 odd minutes against Newcastle etc and Marco has not managed to change it for the better. Marco is stalling on his contract but i don't see the benefit or gain because i think his stock has lowered. Maybe there is a case for giving Marco the funds of 100 million to tighten up the team but no guarantees it will work. The debut at Newcastle for Kevin was massive and that didn't go to plan and Kevin is not a so called gamble, he is our record signing which say's a lot. Marco Silva is playing it coy and i am not sure if he is being smart? Here we have two managers of great talent in Marco and Glasner who each haven't signed their contracts. The result was largely due to the fact that Fulham have the smallest squad (about to get smaller, with players going to the African Nations Cup) and also the oldest. We did not recruit enough new blood and this is the result. I know it's not football. but I'm sure that a lot of us are cricket fans as well, so what on earth has happened to our cricket team in Australia. They left here full of hope, against a predicted weakened OZ side, but we keep collapsing in a heap, time after time, and once again we are going to lose another test in less than 5 days. It's just not working out for Palinha at Tottenham and maybe it is a good time to go in for him considering that Tottenham are in a mess and Thomas Frank will most likely get the bullet. This is a good time to go in for Palinha and i think Tottenham would consider a 25 million offer. Lukic scored a nice goal but everyone's gran would have scored that from a poor Newcastle. We lose a good percentage of creativity out there with the combination of Berg and Lukic sadly and we are at sixes and sevens in defence and our spare goalie is not great.

His first two subs was stupid.Yes take off Kevin who looks lost out there but to take off Smith Rowe for Josh King blighted us even more. Jos King just doesn't have the physical stature to slip his opponent and run on in those positions he takes up. Rowe was on it and sooner or later his combination passes might have payed off if stayed on. Two players Marco should have subbed firstly was Jimenez and Kevin and it was so obvious! Jimenez just doesn't have it out there for a long while now and his lack of pace is a problem. To continue with Jimenez out there every week is a gamble not worth the time if you don't score a few goals and Marco Silva's limp excuse that Jonah isn't ready and worth a risk is complete nonsense. Jonah on very late is complete desperation from Marco Silva who looks perplexed and devoid of ideas, Boa Morte is missed for sure.

One of the big news today is Starmer decided UK will rejoin the EU Erasmus programme. My first reaction was that’s great news and great for the young people. My reaction changed a little bit when I found out it means Uk will have to pay £570m a year for the privilege. Where’s this money going to!? My excitement further dampened by the fact prior to our exit and while we were in EU, only cost about £200m per year. Finally, i questioned the value of money when I found out that previously, we only had 10-15,000 students entered the programme and I guess unlikely the number will go higher any time soon. This means we are paying around £50k a year for each of the students that will benefit from the programme. You also have to remember most of these students are unlikely be studying any of the STEM subjects, instead largely history, language and arts. So I’ve gone from absolute exciting to what the heck?! £50k a year for the benefit of a few?!! Maybe the money better spent on apprenticeships ?!

Anyone ever met a Doctor in his mid thirties or higher who is not comfortable or very well off?? Doctors earning curve spiral once they finish their Houseman and Registrar training (about 5-8years). This is no different to most high paid professional industries where good earnings only really kick in once you reached certain seniority. However, Doctors have the protection of job for life and a fantastic pension. Where's in a corporate world, it could be a dog eat dog environment. I have just had a call from a friend of mine, who is also a Fulham supporter, to tell me that there is a rumour going the rounds, that Marco is about to sign a new contract. I said that I had heard to same rumour on our other site. I think that this isn't the case, as Marco has previously stated, that he is waiting to see if the club backs his ambitions in the January window. With West Ham losing at home to Villa, and I know that it is still not halfway through the season, and a lot can happen, but already being 7 points behind us in the table, and we have a better goal difference, it means even at this stage, every time we win one game, the Hammers would have to win three to pass us. On this Form tonight we will get battered by Newcastle on Wednesday unless we tighten up our defence which was shocking to say the least and i was relieved that Andersen didn't get sent off, i had that negative feeling all the way through this game. Sorry we are going to lose Bassey which is a worry and Chuka who we should have signed ahead of Kevin. Yon know how things work in football. Chuka plays fantastic football all season for one of the rich hob-nobs to come along and steal him from under our noses, thats football and more fool us for not signing him properly.

My first thoughts are it was really a poor performance with probably no more than three or four Fulham players putting in a decent shift. In my opinion, our defence was awful with Robinson totally out of his depth due to his long period out of the game due to his knee injury. However, others have no excuse and as I have said many times before I consider Andersen is a liability who has neither the speed or intelligence to justify his place in the team. I will provide my proper report and thoughts, for Paddy’s benefit in due course.

Why are the back four playing so bad and give hope to Burnley when at 3-1 should be game over. Anderson Tete and Robinson so poor in distribution. They look like giving another goal away if continues like this. Please anyone agree that Imminez must come off no contribution at all, no touches shots hold up play and looks so unfit.

Fulham look good but as usual Anderson and at times giving Burnley easy balks. Please get Immanez off absolutely awful not looking for the ball no touches and looks lost. We must win hopefully.

Like other posters, I believe the game was lost off the pitch rather than on the pitch. We were, in general dominating possession only to find ourselves a goal down after twenty minutes following excellent work y Mitchell down the left flank. He proved to be a thorn in our side throughout the game and in my opinion was given far too much room in which to operate. However, we equalised 18 minutes later with a sublime goal from Wilson and at half-time I felt confident we would get at least a point if not all three. We continue looking the better side when, for no apparent reason Marco substituted our best player, Smith Rowe with25 minutes remaining. Who in his right mine would take off a player who was having an outstanding game in mid-field is beyond me. To replace him with Kevin, a winger, made no sense and suddenly the balance of the team began to falter. Four more substitutions took place including two with two minutes of normal time remaining. In my opinion this led to the catastrophic events leading to palace’s late goal with virtually the last kick of the game. To me Marco was completely at fault and his judgement appears seriously flawed. What does today hold I really don’t know and from what I have seen on the touch line Marco’s assistant is of little help. However, despite my misgivings I am prepared to stick my neck out and believe we will win by two clear goals unless Marco has learnt anything from the Palace game. With Leeds begging to improve we cannot afford any more mistakes or we will all be joining with the Archbishop iin spreading gloom, me included.
