Although I'll be having one eye on Fulham's progress the other eye will be monitoring Newcastle, Brighton and Burnley's results because if we gain a low points result from next 3 games it's not bad as long those three lose.If they win and we lose I think that's it. I think we should have a go at Tottenham on Thursday. It's no use stacking the defence and hoping for a breakaway..Bale, Kane and Son will probably run rampant but if Tottenham have a weakness it's their defence..Let's put Mitrovich up front with Cav on the right and Lookman on the left. Leave Mata out.. he's not firing at the moment..use him as a late sub if Mitro gets tired or is not performing. March is make or break period I believe.
Replies
I admire your optimism re Mitro but at this point in time and this level I think he is a spent force. irrespective of which league we are playing in next season it would be best for both parties to part company, although there may be clubs who would match our required transfer figure his wages would probably be a problem. A swop with Armstrong of Blackburn + 8/10m would I feel be a good bit of business, but that would depend on what div: we are in, as he has stated he would like to ply his trade at a higher level.

On Sunday's showing, Mitrovic's lack of pace was so evident, even Benteke could give him ten yard start and beat him over thirty. Only at set plays can Mitro contribute in a positive way.
posted by mwk (Guest) - Monday 01st March 2021, 5:56 PM

I don’t think Mitro is a spent force. He severely lacking confidence at the moment. I blame the Scotland game. Yes, Mitro is not the fastest strikers out there but if that is the only issue, how is he the highest scorer for Serbia. He looked much leaner on Saturday and to be honest, he didn’t get club of the ball and when he did, he kept it well. We are not playing to his strength. Playing a short pass to him is not how he wants the ball. We either cross or play a high ball to him to bring players into play. I have the confidence he can still boss defenders, even at the premier league level. Let’s give him a run of games. He could be our season saviour like Kebano was last season!
posted by John (Guest) - Monday 01st March 2021, 6:13 PM

Lots of football managers on this site, let’s face it nobody knows who’s going to beat who but 1 thing is certain lots of unpredictable results coming. Strange thing about Fulham winning at Leicester and Everton were both a shock and our current form even though we’re not scoring we’re certainly hard to score against and play better against better sides. Brighton extremely unfortunate against West Brom and Palace so hopefully 1 team will drop like a stone pretty sure Mitro won’t be our saviour.

That’s probably the minimum to avoid relegation. Some say 40points maybe required this season but I don’t think so. Brighton/Burnley/Newcastle all got to play each other - so some points will guaranteed to be lost and also gained. Our 15 points also need to come from Burnley and Newcastle. I am also concerned Big Sam’s trick with Long ball and disruptive football starting to pay dividends. So without sounding a broken record, we have to start scoring and go in another winning run quickly. 5 points from the next 3 games would set us up very nicely!!
Replies
Thing is we aint going to get any thing from next 4 games so only need newc to get one win or couple of draws and we are fighting for breath, we have no chance with collecting many more points, include brighton in that equation and we need a massive miracle.

Real Arch Bishop, haven't you been following our last few results, and if you have, --didn't you notice that in one of the hardest leagues in the world, we have been unbeaten in our last 7 games, away from home, and we have only lost to Manchester City in our last 9 away, so how can you casually write off our next 4 games, with no points at all. Let's face it, you might well be right, but I think that we will pick up a few unexpected points. Manchester City can't go on winning, so let's put a spike in their tyre this time.

What planet are some of you guys on? We did not play side to side crab football and nothing, we pressed and probed Palace from the get-go to the end. Anguissa taken off was not a mistake and we created at least 2 or 3 good enough chances to win that game. It has nothing to do with how Parker sets the team up why we cannot score, especially against Palace. Their keeper played a blinder, Cahill had a good game and their defense was solid in the main. What can we expect against a wily old fox in Roy Hodgeson? Yes' we need to give the guy the respect he deserves and he set Palace up not to lose. Scott Parker did his home-work totally and we snuffed out the dangerous big men such as Benteke and we controlled the midfield. Bigboy thinks Roy is a genius, i didn't see anything to justify that accolade. Someone say's that Roy has less talent to work with which i disagree about. If Zaha had played, i admit we would have more problems to deal with but he didn't play. Scott Parkers tactics and pressing was by far the better tactical display in my opinion and even the football brains will tell you that. Scott Parker is improving his tactical awareness and even an idiot would suss that looking at our first encounter with Palace. Maja and goal record is 1 in 4 games and we got him in the final hours. What planet are you guys on if you think Parker picked this guy? Mitrovic is Slavisa's boy and also nothing to do with Parker. Scott Parker can only do the best with these guys but they don't score enough goals at the moment. Normally the team pressing in the first half gets tired ,but we still press them to the end. Our boys put in a shift against Palace but some still rate them Championship level, how insultive is that?. Lookman worked his socks off to close down dangers off the ball. Loftus Cheek worked hard and he is a good player, we just need the breaks. Maja might have headed that ball either side of goal to score, but it wasn't to be. If Maja had scored that one, we would have won the game and congratulated Parker on a genius substitution and so on. Football is full of fine margins and right now, we are not getting any of the breaks. The idiot Jose Mourhiho has discovered that Bale and Ali are actually good players so no chance they will be benched from now on then? We have half a decent record against top teams so take a crumb from that stats. COME ON FULHAM!!!

Football is about luck as well as skill, endeavour and tactics. Maja had three good chances created for him which with a bit of luck some would have gone in the goal. WE created enough chances to win three games. One of these games it will all come together and we will hammer somebody.

I agree with most of that Owen, well said. Mind you the first half was rubbish. Thought Parker’s substitutions we’re spot on and we so nearly capitalised. You didn’t mention Cav and Robinson, thought they in particular posed a far greater threat.

Owen, please get your facts correct before someone sues you for libel. I did not state Roy Hodgson was a genius so do not invent stories to support Your case. I said it might be sensible to employ him, if Crystal Palace do not extend his contract, as a Director of Football to harness his experience in assisting Scott Parker. However, as anyone in the newspaper trade will tell you, "Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story".

I see he is available on a freebie and looking to restart his career. Once a prolific goal scorer and cost Blackburn £10 mln in 2012, a record sum outside the top tier, at the time. Fulham were interested him before he went to Blackburn and he might be worth a punt on a short term contract.

0-0 was a disappointing ending as we played well enough for the 3 points. At least we're creating chances...if we can get better at converting then we give ourselves a realistic chance. Only 3 points behind B&HA and Newcastle + Burnley struggling. At least we are not soft touches any more. Having previously criticised Cav I felt he did well when he came on and I'll happily acknowledge that RLC had a good match - some lovely touches. I'll be delighted if that continues. COYW

Yes not bad at all. Winning 3 out of 4 games is probably never going to happen. I don’t understand the criticism below of Parker on the sub. We weren’t going to score anyway. So changing the formation is the right thing to do. The fact we went aggressive with the formation but still managed to keep a clean sheet, I think it’s not a bad decision. So unfair to criticise Parker for the sub.

I've been a big critic of Cavaleiro but he has been better over recent matches, especially when coming on as sub. However who is going to stick the ball into the back of the net? Is it time to consider a young , quick striker from the 18s or 23s squads to come on for 15 minutes or so to stretch the game and maybe score a goal.

I disagree with you Putney Pete, that point today could keep us up at the end of the season, so every draw we get adds another point to our total, and it puts us a point nearer our relegation rivals. Would you sneer at 3 draws from our next three games. No, I thought not.

It is not like Scott to panic, he did it to win it but nearly lost it. It did not look live Maja and Mitro have not trained together. If you play two up front they must be a few metres apart not trying to occupy the same sport as they did a lot. Did Scott not notice we had complete control of midfield and were making chances. We should have left out midfield intact. We were creating decent chances until Parker took of anguissa for mitro. After that we lost control of the game. Silly mistake from him. Never take off a cm for a striker as most of our opportunites always come from midfield. The gap between our attackers and our supporting players was too big after mitro game in.

All is not lost! We tend to play better against top teams and the stats tell us that. What risk will you take on 35 points? Roy is experienced as they come, but his methods are not mind-blowing. Remember that Palace tend to play games with the opposition on top and they have pick-pocketed games late on by throwing big guys in the box. How technical is that? We have made progress but albeit, not enough points to show for it. I can see and understand the worry, but we can still do it...

If some anti-Parker fans think that we are playing to Championship level, you guys know nothing about football. Maja for all my criticism of him might have won us the game. We upped and kept up the tempo through that game no problem. Palace are difficult to break down and they have the experience of Roy Hodgeson but we still took it to them and i would say 100% that we dominated the game. Cahill played a blinder in defense for them and he is as experienced as they come. A point suits them than it suits us and maybe we might have to take the shackles off and play 2 strikers in our hunt to get goals? Loftus Cheek is a very good player and i don't understand the criticism that he gets, especially in this game. We were magnificent in the midfield and controlled the game from there with Harrison Reed and Cheek in there. That was the reason Roy Hodgeson took off Eze, because Eze was none existent and Hodgeson decided to put in a more defensive midfielder and settle for a point. In what universe is Scott Parker out of his depth in this game especially and against one of the most experienced managers ever? What game are some of you guys watching? Crystal Palace and Roy rely on the old fashion hoof ball into the penalty box and yes' near the end of games, they sometimes pick-pocket games, which makes Roy a 'er' Genius??? In my opinion todays game was 9/10 in Scott Parkers corner and 6/10 to Roy and Palace. If anyone disagrees with that equasion, they don't have a clue about football, nuff said!!!!!

Nonsence. The bottom line is we DID NOT WIN.ROY did because he is a much better manager with an inferior team

I must have watched a different match because I thought FFC payed well against a very defensive Palace and we were unlucky not to score second half also can’t p blame SP taking off Anguissa trying to get the winner showed his positivity well done

Maga wont score us goals. Mitro should play from the start of every game. His goal scoring record trounces Maja’s all day long

Unfortunately Mitro is not fit. When he comes out wide with the ball, and makes a pass, there is no movement from him to quickly get back to a goal scoring position. Maja has movement and the ability to get into those positions. He almost won us the game!

Keep repeating myself same problem with maja. As mitro dont play to his Strengths allied to the fact mitro more effective in box for either of these two to be effective got to give them service. Which is the problem !!!

At the time of the substitution we had control of the game especially in the midfield area, we didn’t need to change anything other than just move the ball quicker

Parker understood that we would never score without a goal scorer. Building from the back is fine but we needed to move the ball quicker and support Lookman better. More than 50% of our shots from Anderson. Ridiculous.

Joka, we were just unlucky and Cahill who is a great player played a blinder. I remember we didn't want him because people thought he was too slow and injury-prone.

Owen....we were unlucky and at the time we were creating chances for Maja ....the Cavaleiro substitution worked well. But then Parker spoilt it by taking off Anguissa and not going like for like. Maja was withdrawn to a different role and the initiative was lost in midfield. If a substitution was needed it should have been like for like. And of course we needtomove the ball quicker. Parker will learn from this

Maja and Mitro were taking up the same space in the box so that end of the sub did not work either. Scott's subs are usually are good but this was a bad mistake as we were close to breaking through with the players already on the pitch.

Mitro I'm afraid was the slowest player on the pitch. It's time to blood a younger ,quicker player from the 18s or 23 teams and use them with 15 or 10 minutes to go. Could they do any worse than Mitrovic? No. Saying that Maja should have buried his header from such close range.

Moving the ball quicker was a fault for three quarters of the game I felt thought we was more liable to score as game went on but left us more exposed at back against a side which nick late results

Lookman is doing extra well to close down Palace defenders quickly and unsettling their rhythm. Andersen is getting chances in his new-found centre forward position? Commendable to Andersen, but have we got any centre forwards in the game today? Mitrovic was a wondering rover all over the field but we knew he was on it! Josh Maja' come forth and showeth yourself man! We also need Reid up-front to come into this game more. We have controlled this game more than Palace now, so there are not many excuses for Maja being shackled because he isn't dangerous. Saying that, we needed a cautious approach because Palace have done us over countless times. Onwards and upwards to the 2nd half. Will Mitrovic feature???

I have s horrible feeling Newcastle are going to win tonight. Bruce will have them powered up for this. They haven't been playing too badly in defeat. Wolves are fairly safe and doubt they will engage in full blooded tackles or gung ho charges forward. I see the final score 3.1 which will put them 6 points ahead and massive pressure on Fulham tomorrow

Bielsa at Leeds is disappointed and sorry that Grealish can't play for Villa today. Bielsa would have liked a sterner test for Leeds and players and he would have relished a proper contest with young maverick Grealish testing and probing his defense. I can see where he is coming from here' and the same like-wise we should relish and rise to every challenge in the greatest league in the world. A part of me is still relieved that Zaha won't make the game today and we have dodged a bullet etc. Zaha is a thorn to Fulham and he always gets one over on us by scoring goals. Our defense is much better organized this time around and i think that we are in much better shape to deal with Zaha and his types now. Besides, there is a need to test 'Parker ball' to the max. Every challenge needs to be met and this is football. We enjoy it more when we win which is not often enough, but starting from now on hopefully, we are in the groove and we are smooth! See what i did there? COME ON FULHAM' WE CAN DO IT TODAY!!!!!!!!!

Because of the interest in a couple of our players on loan to Nottingham Forest,I decided to watch the game with Derby tonight. Christie and Knockhaert did alright but AK is still wild with shooting, and will never improve. All I ask, is that we stay up this season as I can't bear the thought of having to play in a sub standard league again, even if it was only for one season, and the Premier League is now light years ahead of the Championship, and I would rather be near the bottom of the top division, than at or near the top of the Championship. A big surprise was seeing Patrick Roberts coming on as sub for Derby. I wouldn't have recognised him to be honest. How the mighty fallen as they say.

I totally agree, the gap between the two divisions becomes greater each year. We must stay up as we are a very good PL team having to play catch up because of this compressed season caused by covid.

There is a fantastic team spirit down at the Cottage, and i am more than happy with our team. They will do their very best and we will be okay. I just like all the vibes coming out of Fulham lately, especially Andersen complimenting his fellow defender Tosin, that is pure class! It would be fantastic for Mitrovic if he can come back with a bang and thump in some goals against Palace. For all, he has been through, a brace of goals would do his confidence a boost and see us in a good place with games at City and Liverpool to come. COME ON FULHAM!!!!!!!

I can’t remember where I saw the stats but goals conceded per match with tosin and Anderson starting compared to not starting was insane. Something like 3 without and less than 1 with. Statically one of the best defences in the epl since the new year.
posted by Guy (Guest) - Saturday 27th February 2021, 12:47 PM

It was in the athletics fulhamish the stat is without tosin and Anderson we’ve played 6 conceded 14 and with them both playing we’ve played 19 and conceded 18. So less than a goal a game with them. For context over the season only Man City have conceded less than a goal a game. Also our defences oldest player is tete at 25 (not including gk).So if we can keep the loan players we’ve got a great foundation to build a long term team on.

Anyone notice our recent run of decent results seems to have coincided with the exit of the one with initials AK. No idea the positive effect of removing a cancer like that from the dressing room. Be it coincidence or not, good riddance. Despite the lads belonging to clubs all over the continent, they really appear to fight for each other each match now. Credit to SP, for bringing them together, and to the players for buying in. Really enjoying my football right now. 17th by Sunday afternoon!

I think that is what is called coincidence. Our good run is mostly because we have a group of players all doing the right thing.

Scott Parker has never looked at Kamara as a liability in my opinion. I also think that there is a 95% chance that Kamara will return to Fulham. A perfect example of a player not in Parkers plans ie Stefan Johansen who i think is a good player and we should keep him. Johansen was never used in Parker's plans, not even 10-minute cameos like Kamara. They both are on loan and are still Fulham Players. What are the odds on a Kamara return? I wouldn't bet any money on a no return for Kamara because Parker practically used him to see out games. Our recent run of good results without Kamara? None of that theory adds up and Scott Parker doesn't see Kamara as a liability, just my opinion...

Thankfully fit and well thanks just busy at work - I can't fly to Scotland so have to drive seven hours up and seven hours back and stay up there longer. Back today but away again with work from tomorrow for 10 days.

On the herbalist guy, I didn't see the posts and to be quite frank and honest, it has been about two years since I bothered deleting a post that wasn't by accident with fat fingers on my phone. I just can't be bothered with the moderator stuff anymore - too much hassle - especially from you know wh(o). Trouble is, no matter how many times I send the admin guys messages to remove "moderator" rights, they just ignore me. I think Baz is the only moderator now so perhaps it was him?

In terms of Parker I am still a bit sceptical to be honest. Not for any other reason than I am still not convinced it is all his own work. He said as much with the Bryan free kick at Wembley and I'm not sure much has changed on that score.

Of course every great leader has a team they can rely on behind them and takes advice and I do exactly the same (although great would be a stretch lol) but I tend to bathe in the reflected glory of my team rather than taking the limelight myself.

Never like to see any Managers (or Head Coaches) fired so I have my fingers crossed for him and will support him until I don't;0))

Take care all....

We could reveal yourselves at an arranged time at an agreed place at the bar area all wearing a red tie or something to identify ourselves, maybe some of you know each other already, and have already shared a quick passing hello and a smile. Firstly, it is quite possible Fulham or Newcastle are at risk of relegation on the final day of the season. So why bar fans. Secondly, rather than stop any fans altogether given the reduced capacity anyway, allow the same number of fans for the home and away team. With our limit at 4000, why not allow 2000 fans from each team to watch the match. They need to think outside the box.
Replies
We have only had fans for one game so it would be unfair to the away fans if the last game had the advantage of a home crowd. If our last game decided if we or Newcastle go down it would be a very unfair if our fans drove Newcastle down. As we all know normally the home crowd give their team a huge advantage which has been almost completely negated.

I always judge the quality of a team by asking how many of the players would get into a top 4 team team and squad. I think Fulham have at least 3 or 4 players capable of being selected by one of the top 4 teams. I am sure our Keeper, Andersen and Anguissa. Lookman is good but the positions he plays are too competitive with players like mane, salah, son, Rashford etc so he might get into a squad but definitely not the team. I wonder how many players from Brighton, Newcastle and Burnley can get into a top 4 teams squad?? Doubt they have 4 players!

The Fonz is a world class keeper, light years ahead of the other two. Andersen a must keep at all costs if we stay up. Enjoyed him and Tosin partnership. Could be one of the better CB pairings in a couple years

The keeper is the most important player in the team. No matter how good you defence is skilful play will get round it at times so you need your keeper to save you. We would have a lot less points now if Rodak had played. Man City are top of the League because they have the best keeper.

Who would of thought the almost invincible Liverpool would become so fragile this season. Who expected Aston Villa, nearly relegated last season, to become so good this season. Who would have thought we, who looked relegated after the first six games, would make such a fight of it. ___________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________ Football is a most unpredictable game even more so this season with a lack of crowds. I hope we manage to stay up this season, but is is still only a hope that is far from realisation.

Tide turning down at Cottage!... 3 games and 7 points gained last week should Newcastle lose to Wolves next and Fulham win against Palace... we move out of relegation zone at last yiipppiieee! Our opportunity to stay in Prem then becomes achievable reality and in our own hands (and legs!) Finally our chance has come due to improved hard work by our defence and playing better as a team. Believe Scotty’s determination previously shown on the field as player has transferred into management and is now beginning to ruboff on our team. The tides turning at Cottage and gathering ascendancy... meaning upwards! COYW!

We just need to win as many games as we possibly can and see if that gives enough points to stay up. We and the players must not worry about anything other us winning games. If we keep getting 7 points out of every nine available that should be more enough.

Brighton play Palace tonight, and I can't make up my mind which result I would like to see. A draw will push both teams further away from us, and a win for Brighton will push them 7 points clear of us, while an away win for Palace would probably mean that another season in the Premier League is as good as guaranteed for them, as they will be in the 30 points tally area which with 13 games to go should make them as safe as houses.

That couldn't have been a better result than Palace winning from Fulham's point of view. Brighton still in a relegation scrap, and Palace were so bad it was embarrassing. If we can't beat a team far worse than Sheffield United next Saturday then we won't deserve to stay up, as they are absolute rubbish.

Palace win is a decent result for Fulham. I still can't believe Bookies offered 25/1 for Brighton to be relegated only a week ago. and 3/1 ON for Fulham. I Only wish i put in £20. Brighton is doing what Fulham were doing, solid but don't know how to win. With only 4 points gap, we have every chance of catching them. Palace have too many points so i think they will be fine. Likewise, i think Burnley are too experienced to be dragged back in. So it is one from Newcastle, Brighton and Fulham.

It just shows how opinions differ, as personally I am of the opinion, that Burnley are in the biggest trouble of all, as you can't kick your way to safety. At the end of the season the last 6 teams will look like this:- Fulham Brighton Newcastle Burnley WBA Sheffield United

Palace did a job on Brighton similar to the one they did on us. We need to be very careful as no matter how useless they look the have dangerous match winners in the side. They have done us a favour as Brighton are in reach as well.

The result went in our favour last night, Palace were always going to pick up enough points to be clear. They dealt Brighton a hammer blow. We can beat Palace but it will be a game of attrition, and a test of Parker’s strength as a coach.

Following the announcement in the Commons this afternoon, it looks as though we will be able to have a 4,000 crowd for the last match of the season, against Newcastle. Considering the excellent vocal support from 2,000 fans against Liverpool, that will be a real boost to our chances if that does turn out to be a crunch match. Hopefully we will be safe long before then, but it will certainly be a great end to this blighted season.

I have always supported parker in his management and training, thinking that he would be able to promote us onwards and upwards, but giving it some considered thought in the long term he is not a top league manager, so whatever happens this season Khan should be looking towards a quality replacement who can take us where all Fulham fans want us to be.

I watched Newcastle play United hoping Newcastle would be torn to pieces. It was unsettling watching Newcastle play well and United struggled but a moment of inspiration from Rashford and some poor keeping and United were on there way. Great shot to go level from Max someone. Probably their version of Lookman. With their tails up for the second half I had seen enough after deciding it could go either way. Next time I looked it was Utd about to go 3-1 up. Newcastle totally demoralised. Don't see anything to frighten our boys. Overall quality is way down probably because the players are playing too much.7 points from 3 games in 7 days is excellent. COYWs

Newcastle's defense is poor! Lookman will walk through theirs dribbling last game. Maximan is a good player but that ball drop to him from a head-out. Newcastle don't do passing moves well. They rely on percentage balls hoofed in and oddson it will drop to one of theirs. Wilson is sort of okay when he is fit, and he will buy a penalty going down in the box. Wilson will slip on a nats head in the box...

Are we getting a little bit ahead of ourselves, as we are still 3 points behind Newcastle, and if we lose to Palace on Saturday, and Newcastle beat WBA at home, as surely they will be expected to do, then we will once again be 6 points behind the field. Mind you both Newcastle and Burnley, who are still in freefall, have some extremely tough looking fixtures coming up, at least on paper, especially Burnley who have Spurs(a) Arsenal(h)Leicester(h)Southampton(a) in their next four fixtures, quite a daunting set of games, plus the fact that they do have to play Newcastle at home, which they both can't win. All this of course is of little use to us, if we don't keep on winning ourselves. Sweaty palms weekends are on the horizon. COYW

What’s happened to the regular updates? The Stand is supposed to be ready for the start of next season but it looks like it’s at least another 18 months off. Anybody know?
Replies
The stand was delayed due to problems with the river wall. It was expected to start fit out at the beginning of April 2021,but due to the virus this has been put back by some time. New proposed opening date Feb/ March 2022 as reported by building contractor.

is that completely true old un? isn't the outer part of the stand (like Brentfords and Spurs before it) going to be all but done/complete by this summer. But the fittings of seats and interior that is delayed. Doesnt the club have a plan to fit of the interior in line with seats. example if the new stand has 1000 new seats fitted by next season, then there will be interior space inside also ready (toilets, bar space) , then when 2000 seats ready more toliets and bar space ready... continue until all seats installed...sometime 2022???

the main question to me, is when will the general public have access to the river walkway and access to the proposed bar on none matchdays? as I said the outer will be done by mid/late 2021... but will cranes still be causing a hazard/risk outside preventing opening of this ..it would benefit everyone if it could be opened. if only for a small bar/cafe from the club to make money and of course for me and you to enjoy on days when there is no games. doesnt matter if builders/plumlers/elecricans continue inside...i would like my riverside drink :D

Seem to be cracking on with stand top half might take a bit of time reckon it could be done near as dam it by the end of summer ( or open for football matches not that it matters much crowd restrictions for rest of season at very least ,!!!!

The problem is that builders plumbers &Electricians require storage areas for tools and equipment so there will be no access for plebs until it is all complete sorry

But Andy S isn't that why they seem to be trying to complete the Hammersmith End before the Putney End of the new Stand... If they do that they;d still have the Putney end blocked with all the lets call them 'bits and pieces' to be able to be stored in the Bishops Park Construction site and Road Deliveries at that end. So assuming when the Heavy lifting via the River is finished the River operation can be totally shut down or halved .. Allowing the New Pier/Stand to be partially opened via the Hammersmith End???? Some income for the Club with this plan during late 2020 would be welcomed and surely a plan someone should have thought about.

Credit where it's due. Great week for you Whites. If only we could get over our usual jitters we could have been playing you next season. Your new stand looks the cat"s testicles too. Far better than our prefab warehouse stuck in an industrial estate in Hounslow.

If we can get as many points from the next 13 games, as our last, we will stay up with around 40points. Given the team are improving and learning to win games that we didn’t know how to, that’s an achievable target. If we can win against Palace, we can afford to lose a couple in April without being stranded again in the bottom 3. If we were playing Spurs and Liverpool today, we can even win both. All looking good at the moment. I am happy. Well done Parker! Coyw!

Whatever happens between now and the end of the season, I must admit that we have done a lot better than I dared imagine; I genuinely believed we’d be lucky to reach 18 points

I hope United play as badly against us because they are giving Newcastle a very easy ride at the moment.

Only 3 points behind Newcastle with a better goal difference as we have to play them we only need to match there points tally and turn them over on the last day! Job done

One point from having control of our destiny this season! Probably first time since game one!

We have a better goal difference than Newcastle so if we continue that advantage and score the same points as Newcastle until the last game of the season and then beat them we stay up. That means our fate is now in our hands.

Better a three point gap regardless of who it is than 8 or 10 still think geordies won’t be the ones we are going to overaull fancy Brighton or palace. Thought Newcastle played well first half against a very average United Thought the subbing of there two most effective players puzzling presume injuries fitness issues if and a big if !! If we need to beat them last day based on there first half showing could be a big ask

I can't remember his exact words but Wilder sheff utd manager thinks we are a bit good and our players are better than theirs, and we play good football, all nice and fluffy and rather yummy! 'Wow' so much for Parker-ball then, all pass-pass from side to side and backwards and forwards. We have certainly got everyone's attention and it seems that most prem teams will now set their stalls out to stop us playing our lovely football. We are improving swimmingly, and we are not a million miles from where we want to be. Saying that we still can't shoot straight for peanuts though and this is a problem to work on in training. But never mind about that, we have our young stalwart Loftus Cheek who will most certainly get us out of the mire of deep doodoo and threat of relegation. Before you ingest any more of my good works 'Geezer' i suggest you make a strong cup of tea and down it with some posh biscuits 'er' custard creams' and remembering with your tea to stiff out your pinky finger in a ever so quaint manner. Speaking of posh boys, where the blinking heck is MST? MST will be back with a roar of thunder or rather sail in on a sailing boat down the Thames. A grand entrance back into the Cottage is all so grandiose and 'er' so typical of MST when he decides to come back. Will we get out of the relegation dogfight? I really think so'but with all the help of Loftus Cheek and Parker-ball. If Josh Maja can discover his 'er' goalscoring form? I suggest he looks way back into the archives dating back from the 'er' 14/02/2021 at Everton, we might just be jumping jelly-beans and skipping through hoola-hoops come end of the season. 'Carry on Jeeves and 'er' Wooster'...
