Hi Guys I’m sure we all agree the attitude effort over our last 5 draws shows some progress but we will get relegated if we simply rely on draws no matter who we play. It is absolutely clear to all of us Cavalero Decora Reid and others trying to score won’t happen. Great defensively we’ve got really much better but without quality up front we will drop.
So why no search for strikers? For me get someone with pace quality played in the premier and we may have a chance. DamarI Gray at Leicester very good but out of favour so let’s go for him. Any others will assist but not Dwight Gale or lower rankings. We always choose the wrong players with Khan so maybe nothing will ever change.

Last transfer window we bought well, let’s hope we do it again this time. We definitely need a striker, Gray is a decent player but he is a winger. Out and out striker for me. Majority of posters on here think we need a striker, not many of us know who though. Looking at the posts on what type of player we require would be, fast, good goal scoring record, fit, can hold the ball up, experienced in the top flight, good in the air, not to old and not to expensive. Not an easy job but if we want to survive we have to find one.

Not possible Gaz, sounds like Harry Kane.Be nice if we could prise Ayew from Roy at Palace.
Clever player suit Fulhams style scores a few works hard.
Still think Gayle would be a good fit to the Fulham style as well.
Lower level striker comes with risks, foreign league strikers would probably have to isolate and would they be an improvement on what we have.

Really difficult Denny, my only problem with Gayle is the injury issue, he has had quite a bit of bad luck during his career. I suppose anyone can get an injury though. Agree with you about a foreign player but it’s looking like we may have to go down that road, which may be a bit late taking into consideration the self isolation rules. I would imagine that striker prices will rise due to a shortage of them. Ayew is a suggestion if Roy allows it.

I would like to see us take a punt on either or both TONY of (Brentford) (stats] joint top scorer in championship age 24 transfer market value 8/12 million present wage 25k per week.~ ~ ~
ARMSTRONG centre forward joint top scorer in championship comfortable playing in both left and right wing positions . Age 23 wage 18k per week. transfer market value 10/14m.
But we are lumbered with both Cairney & Mitro
contracted with us till May 2024 and both on 60k per week.? ? ? ? ? ?

Armstrong is a good shout Kunye, blistering pace and can score goals. This guy would be excellent for our style of play. West Ham all over him, we should outbid them.

No Dwight Gale in the Newcastle squad tonight, which probably means that he is either completely useless, injured, or on the way to CC ?

Think there’s at least 9/10 teams looking for a goal scorer in the premier, sure there’s is action be patient definitely need someone young for this current team.

If Dwight Gale is both useless and injured, he sounds just our type of signing.

Agree with you on that one Brian, probably offer in excess of 15m + wages of 100k per week

There is very little activity in the PL at all. We should know by now most of it happens in the last few days or even hours before the window closes.

So do we believe what Parker said, "I don't want to leave it until the last minute to bring players in
& we are looking for loanees"

I know it won't happen but if Lampard thinks RLC still has a future at Chelski, send him back and swap him for Giroud. He would keep us up then we could get a younger version in for next season...

Parker does not buy and sell players so what ever he says is flannel.

You're right Jon, Giroud wouldn't want to join us, but RLC didn't want to either and we still ended up with him.
