I wonder if he'll play tonight?

I'm not one for booing ex-players but he is another in the Dembele mould that followed the golden goose only it hasn't quite happend for him the way it did for Dembele.

I always thought he was quite a skilful lad but was to much of a lightweight and got knocked off the ball too easily. He didn't really cut it with the best team in a Mickey Mouse league so not sure I see him pulling up trees with Boro.
Replies
We got £12m for Roberts. We got 200k for Dembele. Why would you want to boo Patrick Roberts?? He’s given Fulham £12m when he could run down his contract. I don’t recall him saying anything negative about Fulham. So there’s no reason to boo him- infact, I might even give him a small applaud!

INTERESTING SIGNING... WHAT DO WE THINK!? ....COYW! Kongolo Signs On Loan The Club is delighted to announce the loan signing of defender Terence Kongolo from Huddersfield Town. The 25-year-old, who is equally comfortable playing as a centre-half or at left-back, will be at Craven Cottage for the rest of the season. Speaking to FFCtv after signing, Kongolo said: "I am really happy with this move. Fulham is a big team pushing for promotion so for me this a perfect move. "I really want to show my qualities and the next six months are very important. I like the winning mentality here and I want to give everything to help this Club get promoted."
Replies
Likely he's been signed as a back-up for Odoi at LB. We ought to sell Bryan and Betts and use those funds to buy ourselves a right back. Christie has been adequate, but he's not quality enough (like Freddo was) to get us promoted.

I assume Bryant will now leave which personally I am not unhappy about he is a poor defender always leaving big gaps on the right wing . He can cross a good ball but at the end of the day if you are a left back you must be able to defend !

@drago, interesting thought. Hope that’s not the case as our previous CB come LB didn’t work out very well. Been reading comments from Huddersfield fans on FB and they are all finding this pretty amusing. This guy has an ego and is not a team player. Known for sulking and not putting 100% in. They say he thinks he should be at Barcelona and everything else is beneath him... let’s hope he just didn’t like Huddersfield.

Okay Doris, here’s one for you. It’s looks like Southampton are one of the clubs seriously interested in buying Bryan. To me this is pretty ironic as they had, and sold, our number one choice at the time as they were blessed with a number of players in that position. They messed us around big time with targett - raising the price and lowering it at the last min. Too little too late. Now they want one of our players. It’s time for the khans to show they are no pushover, pick a price and stick to it, make them sweat and show them what goes around comes around. Same should be said for any further dealings with spurs (although you don’t all agree that they messed us round - it’s what the club said and lead to hector not being registered in time). If we are to start getting good deals in the market with baby khan at the helm we need to start being more cutthroat.
Replies
We were with Sessegnon got our prise and Onomah must do same with Bryan
posted by Badger (Guest) - Thursday 16th January 2020, 1:34 PM

Whether we got our price is up for debate. No idea how you would know that but we do know there was no bidding war. The beef with spurs is actually more to do with taking it down to the wire which meant hector couldn’t be signed in time which ultimately had an impact on the quality of our defence for 6months. After that cluster f**k I’d never do business with Levy again. The sort of gist we got from the club too. We get taken for mugs win the market with TK in charge.
posted by David (Guest) - Thursday 16th January 2020, 1:41 PM

Unless we have plans to buy some big players and therefore need the cash for FFP sake, we must not sell! Ask if Southampton interested in a great right back who allegedly can play in midfield as well.

It went to wire because spurs tired to drop prise last minute and Khan walked away that stop Hector deal was reported at the time on sky sports

Badger, so they did mess us round. My point being that it was a foregone conclusion that he was joining spurs all summer, yet they made us wait until the final minutes of the window. If it was me running the club, I would not stand for that. It just shows what other clubs think of us if both Spurs and Southampton tried to walk all over us and take the Michael. Would've loved Matt Targett.

Obviously you are more financially savvy than the billionaire Khans who told Levy “its £25 million ( or whatever it is , and we are financially in the position you can take our figure or sod off”) They took the figure

Never claimed to be more financially savvy and you are missing the point entirely. It should never have come down to the wire like that in the first place.

Same with targett. Mad rush in the final minutes of the window. Don’t see other clubs getting in this sort of mess because they have years of experience in navigating the transfer market.

I see the post on the Stoke player who refuses to wear the poppy has been taken down. Aren't we a touchy bunch!
Replies
His choice. I contribute to the appeal but don't wear a poppy, what difference does it make? I used to have a metal pin badge that I wore after I made the contribution because the paper ones fall off and the pin is a nuisance but I lost the back and don't bother now. Surely it's the donation that counts not some stupid piece of paper!?

From memory the Stoke Player is not from England is he and I can see his point if that's the case.

The last time I looked, charitable donations were not mandatory so each to his own and NO ONE should be chasitised for making their own choice.

I don't think Meg would make a good right back, what we need is to stop all this back passing, every time we could have a shot we pass back, sometimes it gets back to our goalie from our own attack. if we get back to the Prem and do that we will get beaten by so much, take some pot shots, you never know, you could get a deflection and a goal, play like you did v Villa.

Mitro injury not as bad as first thought. Only three weeks ligament strain. At first they thought it was a very bad injury not so. He also looks like a rest won’t be a bad thing for later games. Also it gives others a chance to shine. We are far better placed than when we went up last time. The next month should be the key for Mr Parker and his knockers. Yes we haven’t been playing well yet we are still well placed despite this. If we can start playing to our potential then automatic promotion is not out of the question.

Mitro's injury is unfortunate and these things will happen at the wrong times. That said, this is a test for Parker which i welcome. We have a squad and there are a few additions coming in that will strengthen our fight for promotion. Can Scott Parker organize us tactically without Mitrovic, and can he sort out our defense finally? Also, our football has not been the most free-flowing in the pursuit of goals and i would like to see Parker getting us to play a more fluid football towards goal. Kabano and Kamara are not in the same class as Mitrovic, but we still should be capable of scoring goals. Cavaleiro has shown that he is capable and he will score goals as well as set them up. Parker tried Kamara in some daft wing-play position that clearly didn't work, and to get the best form him, he needs to play him more central or that right side against Derby he was effective with assist. I am not an expert, and whatever tactics Parker brings to the table, it needs to work pronto. If we are not bothered about the promotion race this season, then it doesn't matter what tactics and Parker can experiment all day long. The team is what it is, and we are not Liverpool, but there is still enough talent without Mitrovic to give us a shout. I think there are a few managers around theis league who would jump at a chance to manage our squad. This isn't the best Fulham squad put together, and it sure is not the worst either...

Mitro is out, as is AK, per Parker. More likely line-up is Christie-Hector-Ream-Odoi-McDonald-Onomah-Cairney-Cav-Decordova Reid - Knockaert. Arter and StefJo are both better than Onomah, but Parker seems blind to that.

Watford and Southampton are both interested. I am really concerned the club would consider selling him and replace him with Le Merchand, who is obviously doing nothing at the moment. To get the best out of Cav, we need someone who can link up and overlap with him. I can't see Le Merchand doing that! not sure knows that the other half the pitch looks like and he certainly doesn't have the pace to overlap!

Anybody else under the impression that defeat on Friday is almost guaranteed. Replay the highlights of our home games against Forest, Bristol City & Reading, and that’s exactly what we will get. We will be at snail pace, passing backwards & forwards across the back, giving away cheap goals, until the last 15 minutes when we will burst into life. You know I am right guys, give Warnock a final shot of glory cos the current incumbent will not be able to guide us through the playoffs even if we got there (which is highly unlikely)

Unfortunately I have to agree 100%. Based on the way we have played this season with probably only two quality performance to date.

Time for change, I thought Parker would have gone by now and an experienced manager would have been put in place this month.

Friday's game is the last chance saloon and if we are defeated the only hope it getting an experienced manager in who could give us a chance of at least staying in the play off positions.

I guarantee you that if you ask the Khans what our priorities are for this season, and they will say promotion. Even without Mitrovic, priority is still promotion! There is no other plan or objective, promotion is what we are aiming for win or lose Friday night! It is down to Parker to sort it with the addition of Hector at the back. We will get help for Mitro who is sidelined for a while. 15 mill or more for Assom is a show of real intent, we have the money...

Why does there seem to be a panic on about Friday night's match against Boro' as like many of you, I watched tonight's match Spurs against Boro' and I can't say that I was very impressed with Boro' against a very poor Spurs side, and they will probably be knackered come Friday evening. Let's face it, if we can't beat the likes of Boro' at home, what would honestly be the point of being promoted, as every club that we play will be far better than Boro', and I'm even talking about teams like West Ham, Palace and Burnley. We will beat Boro' on Friday, or otherwise we can forget any top 6 finishing spots.

I know what you mean about the back passing and I think it is only the people that go to the games that know this as the highlights would not show it. v Reading we were awful, so slow their defence had all the time they needed to get organised, a waste of time playing. However v Villa they tried a few shots from outside the area, if they keep that up we will win more often.

Last time I looked we were 4th and in the play off spots playing "boring football that barely works" Furthermore I'd say that our current position is more than reasonable for those who want "value for money". QED.

@MW. We are in a league where 4th is possible with 41 points from a possible 81 after 27 games. That’s half available points. I’d be interested to see what the table looked like in previous seasons at this point. But the point is that this is an awful season of championship football and we are almost the best of a very bad bunch. That does not fill me with excitement. In fact the league leaders have dropped a total of 31 points already. Compare that to the prem leaders who have dropped 2 points all season too. Yours is opinion and I have a Given figures to support my argument. I was actually much happier watching us finish in play off spots twice under Slav and the reason being I was excited to watch us play, there was such positivity that has been replaced with negative side to side passing (even our centre backs are playing with their backs to the opposition goal!). If you are happy to judge Fulham by a number in a league, that’s up to you but I would like to see a strong team with exciting football again. In your defence, I think our team is excellent on paper, it’s just that amateur manager that can’t get the best of them.

I am glad there are some who are prepared to give the harbingers of doom their answer, even if they are from another club, trying to stir it up even more. the thought of sacking a manager when we are firmly in a play off position is just plain daft. to even discuss selling mitro, ditto.to be honest, those that think we cant go up, its pointless coming on here with your gloom and negativity but of course, you will do

The club have kept all injuries secret this season but I hoped considering mitro was stretched off in front us all and he’s the best player in the league they’d have to tell us something, I’m now beginning to think we won’t know till he plays in the reserves. I get why they think there’s little to be gained in general in realising injury time lines but in this case I wish they’d let us know if it’s day, weeks or months.

Unless Mitro is really ruled out long term - our transfer focus and priority should be a right back! How many transfer windows we need before the penny drop on the Khans?!

He would need to have been injured for two months and have a price tag of at least £10m plus for us to be seriously interested .

John' question to the board is, what are their priorities? I think that with the arrival of Hector, a right back or even a proper left back isn't a priority. I think the Khans are budgeting with what we have now and maybe 1 or 2 additions like Britt Assom thrown in for good measure. It looks like Mitro is really knobbled and Assom might be drafted in. This is exciting news and we fans should be ecstatic! We should be jumping over hoops! You know why? It shows we have serious dosh! We are quids in, 'Loadsa' money'!!! Assom won't come cheap and if we get him, we have more pace and pace is what we need. What else is good about signing Assom? It wouldn't compromise Mitrovic when he comes back, Assom can play wing and he would be a great combo with Mitro. In a perfect world, and that world is in Jose Mourinho's head, we would have a new complete back four and that ain't gonna happen. It looks like the Khans are expecting promotion with the majority of this squad now. This is the business brains coming from the Khans and this is not nessessarily a bad thing. January is a bad month to blow your budget on too many players anyway.

When Spurs play Boro' tonight in the FA Cup replay, do you think that we will see Ryan Sessingnon in Spur's team, or will he be bench sitting once again. If he doesn't play tonight, he must be regretting leaving us for pastures new. He must have splinters in his bottom there now, after so many sit downs, that is if he is included in the squad at all. I hope that he does very well at Spurs, as it will be a real shame if he doesn't make it there. By the way it will be nice to see Boro' tonight, as extra time would suite us well ! !

Leeds United chief executive Angus Kinnear has praised the FA's match official assessment team after they accepted that referee Tim Robinson was wrong to hand Fulham a penalty in their 2-1 victory over Leeds United at Craven Cottage last month.

He wrote in his programme notes "While we are pleased that the officiating authorities are willing to enter into dialogue and accept their mistakes in an attempt to improve their overall quality, we are left in a position where 50 per cent of our defeats this season are now attributable to refereeing decisions that have subsequently been formally overruled."

...and 50% of wins probably saw Leeds get lucky with decisions. Smile and wave boys, smile and wave lol.

You don't hear us banging on about the penalty that should've been given v Bristol City. Also, if VAR was in place last year apparently we would have stayed up, but that's life and you just have to get on with it. Leeds have it in their own hands and if they fall apart again, tough!

Based on the VAR decisions this year, I’d say 40% of all penalties and goals since professional football started have been technically wrong! So stop complaining! Move on! They should worry about falling apart again!

I was at the match and had a clear view of what was a definate push in the back on Reid who had a clear chance of scoring the referee also was in a very good position to see and make the right decision.I am sure the opponents would have wanted the same decision in the circumstances if it had been them on the receiving end of the decision. Sour grapes and nothing more than that.

Gets a lot of stick on here but i think Parker is improving, we got smashed at home by Hull on the counter attack, he learnt from that picked a team much more suitable to cope with Hull's tactics and we manage a 1-0 win, i am still not convinced fully but i think saturday shows that he is improving his tactical thinking, maybe this is his blueprint for away games?

Hmmm, not sure you can tell anything from this game. Two poor team displays on a very windy day. Could've gone either way to be honest and the end, just one moment of class separated the teams.

I am still not too sure about Scott Parker and his leadership qualities, but any negativity at this stage of the season is counter-productive. What we do need is a large dose of positive vibes from us Fulham fans towards our capable and creative players, especially Tom Cairney. Friday night at home is the perfect time for Fulham to come out of our shells and show some dominance and authority, we are at home for Pete's sake! We need Tom to get on the ball and link up well and create openings. I still say he can up his game and i think is best years are still ahead of him. Some of us doubt his abilities and that must mean that the Khans are mugs and well off the mark for granting Cairney a big contract. At age 28 there must be more in his tank and i believe he is keen to show it. Mitrovic is out and again, we must show more positivity towards AK-47 Kamara. There have been a few sarcastic remarks towards Kamara on this forum and again, the Khans upstairs must be mugs or something for giving him a secure contract. Kamara stepped in for Mitrovic against QPR and along with his 2 goals, he was rightly the MOTM. I want to believe that with the addition of Hector we can finally settle down with Reamy and co at the back and to finally plug those leaks towards goal. A big help towards our defence can be Harry Arter staying in that hole between midfield and defence. Arter also is capable of breaking down the opposition play. We just need to get on the ball a lot more and along with Cairney, we have a steady Johansen who we could add? Johansen isn't the quickest but he has experience and for me, he is ahead of O'Reilly in the pecking order. I am not saying we should abandon O'Rielly, far from it! O' Reilly should play a part now he has tasted the blood and sweat of the arena. Why not bring him on? Especially if we are goal up. This Fulham squad with the likes of Kabano etc to call on needs marshelling tactically. I am not convinced that Parker is our man, but this is his big chance to show that tactically we can still win big games without our talisman Mitrovic, and win we must to maintain and keep up with the top two in this division. Heavens forbid if small Brentford beats us for 1st 2nd or 3rd. If that happens, Parker should be put in the stocks and have whole cabbages ane rotten offel thrown at his head. Losing any more ground to the leaders at this point of the season is not acceptable. Last point to make is, i would like to see more of Kunye's love child, Matt O' Reilly. I hear and expect good things about this young stalwart. FULHAM LOSE ON FRIDAY NIGHT??? PARKER' ENGINEER US A WIN TACTICALLY OR ELSE!!! WE HAVE ENOUGH IN RESERVE , NO EXCUSES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a big shock when I heard that our lads are to challenge Manchester City FC for a place in the next round of the FA Cup. Even if like Liverpool FC they send out a second tier squad that might be problematic, especially if we are to be with Mitro for a spell. BIGGEST SHOCK though was the club was looking at a Defender - some chap who currently plays for Huddersfield who are not exactly setting the world on fire but it is Defenders we desperately need. And a Midfield dynamo. GOOD result at Hull really as we scored early on and did not give away a silly goal late on. Maybe thinks are looking up lads!

A bad blow especially if it’s as bad as SP says . Maybe as cover we should think about Dwight Gale as a loan signing it would give us a different dynamics not being a hold up type of player but he quick and is a proven goal scorer especially in the Championship don’t think we would be taking a much of a chance . Keep Kamara for the bench .

Looking at the teams in the top half of the table I have to say Brentford look the most impressive, with there new stadium they could become a decent LONDON club, when you look at where qpr were a few years ago it’s an incredible achievement, not sure why any bees fans come on our message board but as a club they’re definitely punching above themselves and good luck to them, what we have missing from our current set up is we have no team spirit but great individuals a lot of people will point the finger at Parker but we look like a load of overpaid proms donnas if we don’t get this sorted we’re going nowhere.

Yes Brentfrod are playing well and above themselves . Not all has gone right for Fulham but we’re a point behind them had more injury’s than most this season with lots playing with knocks. it’s much harder when media and some fans fill we should win every week what ever. There have been lots of Away games like yesterday were we have shown we’re all pulling together . Most fans have been great, but message boards seems to be made for moaners

Agree with the above - they have a very good team ethic with a bit of pace. I think the promotion places will be taken by either Brentford, Sheff Wed, Leeds or WBA. With regards to bees fans coming on here. Don't think they actually do - it is more likely to be our own fans on the wind up

Ragnor, don't be such a pessimist, we haven't played well in most of our games this season, and yet we are still sitting in 4th place, and only ONE point behind Brentford. I will be very surprised if Brentford can keep it up, as they will run out of puff come May. We have as good a chance as anyone the moment to be promoted, whether in the top two, which is still possible, or winning the play off final at Wembley, I still believe we can do it, although it might need a bit more strengthening of our squad to achieve
it. COYW

MW, The whole idea of a forum is that people can express their own opinions, and in MY opinion I think that there are better teams in the top 6 than ourselves. Just because somebody writes something that you don't agree with, doesn't automatically make them a Brentford fan!!

well said , because I don't agree of which every one has a opinion I believe their knowledge of our team is poor my opinion only of course

Ragnor, I totally agree with you that this is a forum for views whether we/I agree with those views or not. But, I found your original post massively pessimistic in that you feel FFC won't be in the promotion mix at the end of the season. It smacked initially of yet another BFC twat coming on here as a wind up - see d's posts. If you are not, I retract. But please if you are going to make sweeping negative statements without qualifying why you are making them then you will I can assure you be taken to task and not just by me. Ok so, I'd remind you that come the end of the season there will be 6 teams in the mix for promotion. 2 will automatically go up (as first and second) the remaining 4 are in the play offs for the 3rd. spot. Who then will in your opinion will go up automatically - I say WBA and Leeds? Who then are your choices for the 4 teams in the play offs..I say BFC, Sheff Wed, Fulham and Notts Forest. These teams have very high GD's which explains my logic - look at the current table. I think we will make the play off final and we will win - simply because we have been there before we know what it's like to win BIG games such as the play off final. As to whther we would stay up in the Prem that's a different ball game completely.

Pack it in MW. Half this board think we aren’t playing well enough for promotion. We are very lucky to be 4th. Doesn’t make us Brentford fans. It’s such a basic insult to make. You just come across as a bit of a numpty with your default insult. Ragnor post what you like and don’t listen to idiots like MW.

Thing is, we all write in the current tense (Parker in/Parker out, going up/not going up). A few fixtures can change the outlook & opinions. In reality any of the top 15 teams could be involved in the playoffs/autos. I might (along with others) have different thoughts in a few weeks, but based upon our terrible defensive errors which have cost us so many points (I.e. Luton),, and our pedestrian forward play, will be our undoing.

Okay it's not great news about the guy getting injured but we don't have to panic as Fulham have a instant replacement in Kamara. Spearhead him with Kevin Macdonald, job done! I also think a few games without Mitro will be good for the team. Well done by the way Fulham for beating Hull, stopping Bowen in itself a result.

At the ripe old age of 28, there is a needs-must for our Tom to take the reigns now and really stamp some authority for Fulham. Cairney started out at Leeds at a very young age and sadly for him, they released him at 16. His new family and home now is at Fulham and now securing a really generous contract, i think he really needs to step up! Tom Cairney is the nice guy next door and we really want him to come out of his shell and take charge on the pitch more. Our stint back in the prem was a horror show and i suspect that Cairney and team would like to erase that chapter. Villa finally made their step into the theatre of dreams and even with the threat of relegation back to the Championships, they are leaving their mark and fluttering a few waves in the prem. A big influence in their team is Jack Grealish and at the younger age of 24, he is their common denominator. Guardiola paid Grealish a great complement on sky lately and that say's a lot about Grealish. Villa will most likely find themselves back into this league, allbeit with the growl of a wounded lion. Sadly Fulham omitted the prem with the wimper of a mouse. We must show and do much better now, especially in this 2nd half of this season in this league. Our late bloomer Tom Cairney has all the tools needed to finally make his mark and leave his legacy within the Fulham archives. Cairney is a likeable lad from a good family and i think that most fans will really like to see him come out of his shell more and be a lot more influential. Cairney has all the tools and talent to do this and in all honesty, it wouldn't take a lot more for him to do great things at Fulham. I am sure he more than anyone would likt to leave his mark and we Fulham fans want him to leave his mark. It would help his cause for conquest if he can score more goals just like the screamer at Leeds a few years ago now and we musn't forget that winning goal in the playoffs. 'GO GO TOM CAIRNEY!!!! YOUR THE MAN!!!!

A decent player, but the Likes of Haynes and White of Spurs had that special talent on show at an early age, Grealish is a fine player and could well get into the England set up.

I suspect that Cairney is still carrying a slight injury and maybe he will be ready for Friday night at the Cottage against Middlesboro. O' Reilly too should be in competition with Johansen. Hull away is a win, but i really would like to see Fulham gell and bring on more creativity to the arena. Where is the style? Let's win with some great passing moves again. Let's be entertained!!!!!!

“A big influence in their team is Jack Grealish and at the younger age of 24, he is their common denominator.” What does that mean? What is a common denominator in a football team? Please explain (in simple words). “Tom Cairney has all the tools needed to finally make his mark ..” Except that his right leg is only for standing on which makes it easy to shepherd him in one direction and limits his passing options, making most of his passes predictable and easy to defend. I’m not saying he’s not worth his place, but he doesn’t have “all the tools”!

We are 5th and there are a stack of teams behind us with 1 or 2 points between us. I am not the biggest Parker fan, but i do want him to get us the results. I really want us to go on a big run of winning games that can take us into 2nd at least. I am too nervous about another play-off because we,ve won one but we are too nervy going into another one this year. We know Hull might be tricky away but we need to plug these gaps in midfield firstly. Arter can help out hopefully. I can't see the Khans introducing another 3 defenders so we will have to make do with our present staff now, at least we have Hector. If the likes of Oliver Norwood can cut the mustard, we surly can lick Alfie Mawson and co into shape? The Khans upstairs will be expecting Parker to put this jigsaw together finally now. We are due to go on another winning run of '3' games statistically, and we really need to win beyond 3 games because there are 5 or 6 teams stacked up near us. From now till February is so crucial and even with a poor run, it will be impossible to bed in a new manager for promotion. Keeping Parker is a huge gamble for people who had aspirations to buy Wembley and beyond. Our main investment in Mitrovic is not a guarantee beyond this season. Spurs are desperate for a striker like him and there will be many more clubs coming in for him and he can be tempted. Funny how we are the only ones that don't think we are good enough? The Khans expect promotion, many pundits and Championship managers think that we are the best team in this league. There have been games where we look a notch above everybody else just like against Derby. Even our draw against highly West-Brom and a fortuitous win against Leeds won us admiring praises from their managers. What is it that is stopping us from doing what Bournemouth or Wolves did last year in this league? Okay' we are not quite at the level of those teams to run away with this league but in the same breath, no other team is. Automatic promotion should be our aim, because another playoff is just to painful and besides, Fulham are a touch to nervous this term for close encounters. We should make it our mission to catch at least one of the top two and aim for top if we can do it. Maybe Leeds and West Brom will have their bad hair day and beyond. Fulham have had too many bad runs now. I can't see us doing it with Scott Parker but i am not the best judge. I hope he can really do the business, and i will be the first to sing his praises and admit i was wrong. I want to be wrong for Fulhams sake!!!

From afar....don’t need much imho. Just a right back. There seems to be a breakdown there. The tap in goal a few games ago was just embarrassing with two defenders watching. Simplistic I know but I really feel we can go on a run starting with a win against Hull.

Tenants or cider tonight Owen?. The transfer window has started for us, so we’ve signed Hector, Cav and are looking at Sabaly. If Parker has had some input on who we buy the Khans would not sack him, they would let him go again with the new arrivals, or has Khan jr been speaking to another manager on who would want certain players before he would put pen to paper?.

Truth is, we don't know how much we paid for him, just that we paid 30 mln for him and Le Marchand. We can be sure however that we will be taking a loss on the deal. Can't help thinking though that Napoli might be getting a bargain, could be that he just didn't fit in at Fulham or in England

Agree with you Keetch. I’ve always looked at these transfer windows and I’m amazed that people think they have a say in where and how the Khans spend their money. If the club sell a player that doesn’t mean that they use the money on players. People think this is a never ending pot and if we lose money on a player we can just move on to the next one. Can somebody within the club or on the board or maybe the supporters club please look at the prices being asked for soft drinks and sweets and even pies as i believe we the supporters are being totally ripped off. Football being a working mans sport this is not the case.maybe the board and players familys should make a visit to the food outlets in the club.i welcome any replies in this costing matter.

This reminds of those people who go on short haul flights and then have the need to stuff themselves full of processed garbage which they wouldn't normally eat in a million years if they weren't flying - and, they then moan about being charged 35 quid for a small box of Pringles and a Coke. It's the same with motorway service stations. Strikes me if you want food then simply eat it before you get into the Cottage? Surely to god, if you can't do without stuffing your face for a couple of hours you have a problem. (Or am I being harsh?)

2 bottles of coke and a grab bag of sweets £10.00+ what do you call that.
posted by Steve earle (Guest) - Thursday 09th January 2020, 1:13 PM

Definitely harsh. The issue is that once you’re in you’re in and you have to give in to their prices if you do get thirsty or hungry. If they didn’t sell food or drink, that’s be a much bigger problem. Steve Earle is not the only person to eat there. Some people see it as part of the match day experience.
posted by David (Guest) - Thursday 09th January 2020, 1:13 PM

I agree with Marbella but surely from a business point of view clubs should be trying to get punters in earlier and keeping them in the ground later so that they spend more money which hopefully goes into the club. If prices were reasonable and food/drink quality good enough - result. Only other thing is rather than 20,000 people trying to leave at the same after the game some would stay longer easing the flow of traffic out of the stadium

Eating overpriced grub a match day experience!!!! really , over priced ,need a tin opener to get to it, for 2 hours, you must be joking ,if no one bought they would have to put prices down.Like most functions in this country seems you first have to sink 20 pints of gas and water first, then hope you are able to actually watch the goings on.

For the second half of this season, we have to improve in two areas to get some consistency and hopefully still with a shout for automatic promotion! We have to stabilise our midfield. I don’t think we played the same three or four players in the middle for the and 120minutes! We think we found a perfect fit then at next game it goes wrong and we change it again at half-time. Not always the managers fault due to injuries but the bottom Line is we are chop and changing our midfield players. We have great players and therefore good options but we must decide. The second problem is the right back. I don’t neither Sess or Christie is good enough. Both are very inconsistent players. We have to buy someone for this position before we fail again due to this gap! Sort this two issues out - we should be a better team!
Replies
I think we may have lost too many home games for the automatic spot. The teams in the play-offs last year only lost four all season,we have lost that many now. To counter that we need 9 away wins which is a tall order.

Apparently, Watford are in the market for a left-back and after scouting the whole length and breadth of England, they have plumped for our left-back by the name of Joe Bryan. You could not make this up if you tried, Joe Bryan??? Watford apparently have watched his progress for a while now and come up with the conclusion that Joe is the missing link for them. Who are these scouts? I imagine a few faces in hoodies walking Motspur Park, with binoculars that will pick up moon dust, and these guys supping Tenants Super strength. You will need to ask Arizonan or MST on about that sort of cocktail, it sounds a bit funky to me. I am not saying Joe Bryan is a bad player, maybe these scouts know something more that we don't know? Joe is great at going forward, but not the best left back out there. Then again, there might be something about a Tenants Super that i don't know about. It all so sounds very cosmic and Funky to me. 'Watford want Joe Bryan, would we sell him???

I think they have pretty good scouts! I like Bryan and would be very sad to lose home this month!! How many wing backs nowadays are actually great at defending! Not sure why he gets so much stick from the Fulham fans..

Gaz, the way how i see things at Fulham does rest on results because it is a results business. I would dearly like to see Parker gone, but what can i do, he is still our manager. Yes okay' he has the services od Arter back from injury and Hector is available now etc. Maybe we have turned a corner or maybe not? Fulhams goal is promotion back to the Premiership and i don't see it any other way. iF Harrison Reed with o Reilly and all mentioned can make the difference to our indifferent results and form? I am a Scott Parker fan no worries. If we go into Jan and Feb with the same inconsistencies and iffy results? I am livid, i am calling for Parker out!!! I suspect that Scott Parker is far too inexperienced to lead us back to the prem but hey' i am no expert! Our defence from left and right and in the middle have been poor, but who knows? Maybe the acquisition of Hector will stabilize our defence and we stop leaking silly goals. What we can't deny is that Joe Bryan, Christie and co have been poor. Every team and fans are the same. Man Utd win and everyones happy. They lose and everyone is on Soltsjars back, thats football mate...

If joe goes do we introduce ghost as iv not seen any other LB, who do we buy or replace with. Yes defense has been unstable for quiet some time but i belive that Hector is now on board things, should or i hope will inprove.

Fair enough Owen. Most Fulham fans that I have known for donkeys years are one thing, Loyal. It’s seems to me that when premier league was introduced blaming the manager and sacking him if he dares to lose has become the done thing. As you know, I am not a fan of Parker, I don’t agree with the way he plays, if he gets the sack he gets the sack. But while he is working for my club I will support him win, lose or draw. That Owen is called loyalty, try it one day.

Lyle Taylor might just be the sub striker we can use in a hurry. The only draw-back is his age? 29 and counting! Apparently we have a very strict rule that say's we don't sign anyone over age 28?
