Overall we looked pretty good, with some lovely football played. Alvaro, will I'm sure recognize, that we still need a stronger defensive set up, and Charles could have made a difference last night. We are improving game by game, and we won't be 100 percent ready until the season has started, as per most teams. I can see a pretty good season coming up.

We gave away 2 soft goals. Sess could have done better and other players were ball watching. See took his goal beautifully. If we are short of strikers, Sess could well play a no.9! Castagne will be important for us this season with his pin point crosses. Kevin looks good and Arebola can inspire a bit of confidence in him, he'd be amazing for us this season. Overall, we looked good but just need to stop giving sloppy goals away.

Kevin and Bobb will be great improvement on last season and the two Spaniards look like great buys. I am fully on Owens side, but do not share his concerns.

With a new set of players, and more importantly, a new Manager, we may struggle at first, but we will probably pick up enough points for a just below a middle of table finish, and wouldn't it be nice if we could challenge for one of the trophies available, but then again, I have been saying this for season after season, and it's always so near so far. Of course keeping our place at the top table is our main objective, and we should do that alright, with a few wobbles.

Whatever system Arbeola comes with, we have to get on board with it or sink. For various reasons Amorim and system at Man Utd did not work to well or was it a case that the players didn't want to play for him? Arbeola is coming with a different approach and attitude and i think young players such as Muniz and Smith Rowe will want to succeed and do well. Muniz will have to step up and i think he will. He came back from injury a touch slow and off the pace for too long in the second half of the season but this timearound should see a different Muniz, providing he learns to find the spaces and show up a bit more clinical. I would back him ahead of H Reed who is honest as they come but not suited in a technical system. Smith Rowe will have midfielders breathing down his neck and he will know and he will be keen to learn fast. Again turn up in those spaces, pass the ball off at the right time and again, be more clinical in front of goal and it will be all right. The same goes for Josh King who will get fewer opportunities. Everyone moans about Muniz and Smith Rowe but i argue that Josh King has had more chances under Marco Silva. Berge i think will be okay, he has shown that he can play at the high levels required for Norway so no probs there.

This is the other reason to play a 3-5-2, given this year’s squad. We need Gonzalo and Muniz together, as neither is likely to be a Mitro style target man (Benzema would be Arbeloa’s reference point). The team benefits from having Sess in advanced areas — possibly our most clinical finisher. So a 3-5-2 lets us play Jedi without suffering from poor crossing AND get Sess further up the pitch. I’m excited about the pressing philosophy and the signings. But I sense we’re going to be very vulnerable, similar to Slav’s team.

We got to mid table for a couple of seasons, so I say onwards and upwards Lets drag some hope into the hammy and riverside stands and make some noise, and just maybe one day the riverside might follow suit. With attacking wingers and attacking midfielders we should see chances coming from all directions which will upside opposition. That combined with a consistent goal scoring striker should mean a better season that we could really expect.

I coul see his way of thinking if you consider the big clubs dominating the midfield and i think the thought was that Berg and Lukic would stem the flow. It seems a blow if both Berg and Lukic are sold but in a new system we should be more free-flowing in the middle. Ball possession is important and i think a new way of thinking and new ideas are needed. I don't understand the negatives about the Arbeola appointment, i think it is a genius idea by the Khans and a new approach was needed. If Berg is staying, i would be happy but we shouldn't play both together and there is no need now we have a glut of decent potential attacking players.

He's not exactly the fastest player in the midfield and can't always rely of a yellow card to stop a counter attack. So, the question is if he's worth £14m a year (transfer fee + salary)?? I'd rather sell and refresh the squad with a new £20m player (like Charles from Southampton). So, good business i think!

The harsh reality is, low level migrants with no education if they get here will most likely work in a chicken factory plucking chickens which most of them will not like to do. If you work here you need 40 years of stamps working to get a full state pension and that is the reality. Morocco isn't the most poorest in the world. All it needs is a proper leader or president who isn't corrupt, etc etc. A lot of young men born here and coming here would not care to pick up a spade and even dig potatoes at 4.00am in the morning and that's what proper hard working farmers try to do along with various farm work for a living. People want an easy life now that doesn't exist and you will find that England for all it's attractions ain't easy street. You are born, you grow up, you work 40 years, you retire a few years then you pass away and the next generation gets a go. Nuff said!!!

Obviously I do hope that you are right, and things turn out fine for us under AA, but I can foresee a dreadful start to the season, which will take some time to recover from. Of course with a couple of decent signings, that haven't happened so far, despite rumour after rumour. Day after day, we read that new signings are going to happen either tomorrow, or next week, but while we fiddle, like Rome burns, other clubs just get on with it. I can't be the only one feeling so frustrated, but it's all part of our clubs dreadful summer transfer history. K

Firstly, Muniz would make a great Youtube profile with some of the good goals he has scored. However, look deeper, he's probably the least technical player I have seen coming here from Brazil. ESR - very technical and even gifted. But he's got a stamina issue and added to this his lazy body language, he will never be the player he could be, which is a shame! I hope they both proof you correct and me wrong next season, cos they have been weakest links so far.

Sky Sports News understands Fulham have committed to paying a combined fee of £42.3m (€50m) for the duo, who have both come through Real Madrid's academy. Garcia, a 22-year-old striker, who was top scorer at the Club World Cup last summer, is set to move for around £34m. Meanwhile, Palacios, an 18-year-old midfielder who made his senior debut for Real Madrid in January, is costing Fulham around £8.5m.
