Kind of hoping they pip WBA to auto spot as would sooner not meet them in the play offs. We've recently played West Brom and Forest so we know what they're about and imo we have nothing to fear from either.

To be perfectly honest, I’d sooner be beaten at Wembley by any team other than Brentford ( or perhaps QPR) as we’d never be allowed to live it down!

I too would hate to face Brentford in that final. Anything can happen in a one-off game but imagine the hurt of leaving Wembley having been turned over by that lot. It took me a long time to get over the Europa League final, but that could possibly top it

Brentford fear Cardiff because they cannot easily deal with their physical long ball game. If they do meet Cardiff assuming WBA win their last two games you can bet it will be no stroll in Griffin Park!

...Especially with so many people banging on about how much players earn and they do nothing. The source is Linked In but a post from a close witness:

Sadio Mane, The Liverpool Star from Senegal (earning approximately 10.2 million dollars annually),has given the world a lesson in modesty after some fans spotted him carrying a cracked Iphone. His response is legendary:

"Why would I want ten Ferraris, 20 diamond watches and two jet planes? What would that do for the world? I starved, I worked in the fields, I played barefoot, and I didn't go to school. Now I can help people. I prefer to build schools and give poor people food or clothing. I have built schools [and] a stadium; we provide clothes, shoes, and food for people in extreme poverty. In addition, I give 70 euros per month to all people from a very poor Senegalese region in order to contribute to their family economy. I do not need to display luxury cars, luxury homes, trips, and even planes. I prefer that my people receive a little of what life has given me," Mane said.

Doubt we’ll see them Saturday but it’s clear there aren’t goals in Bobby, Cav, Neeskens... they have all had tons of minutes and chances. Wonder if Steven Sess could play on the wing like his brother. Might be worth a shot. Same with Onomah. It’d allow Harrison, Harry, SteJo to play as a midfield trio, which would be undersized but aggressive

I'm afraid The idea of trying out new players doesn't seem to be on the menu for our Coach/ Manager. It's a great pity when you see many clubs giving their youngsters a chance to show what they can do. So don't expect to see many changes inspite of the fact we are safely in a play off spot. Felt totally disillusioned after the W Brom game, dreadful stuff !

I really think that our dear Delia Smith should give Daniel Farke another season or two with Norwich, and for good reasons. Farke is young at 43 and admittedly not clustered and draped in medals, he does have form in stickability at SV Lippstadt. Okay not the most fashionable club in Germany. Farke left Lippstadt with the reputation for being their most successful manager for them, all without the bling bling of medals. He decided to leave after 6 years and to take a sabbatical before accepting the opportunity to manage Borussia Dortmund 11. Then we all know the end story with Norwich. It did not take Farke long to lick Norwich into shape, and i think he did a great job to get them to the prem in his 2nd season, that is fantastic form. I can't imagine our Delia Smith bunging him a transfer kitty bigger than her Angel Cakes, and i really think that if she does the inevitable? We could get Farke on board and keep Scotty at the Cottage as his number 2. That way, Parker can gain much more experience which we know he obviously needs. Delia Smith is not the most patient of Directors and i feel that she we bring the axe down on Daniel for sure? I like the form lines through Norwich and some of you guys think that Chris Houghton should be considered for our next manager. Houghton actually got one over Delia by getting Brighton into the prem after being sacked by her majesty. I am not too crazy about Houghton because his style of football is not as stylish as Slavisa's. I really think we could consider Farke because he can work with small budgets as he as demonstrated with Norwich and secondly, i like his stickability for an unfashionable German club like SV Lippstadt. 6 years and they didn't sack him? We should seriously consider this guy for Fulham. I actually like Daniel Farke on par with Slavisa, but unlike Slavisa, Farke is more dynamic with the media and his knowledge of the English language is better than Slavs. (sorry slav) If Delia has a change of heart and decides to keep Farke? Old boy Khan can slip her a few gin and tonics and buy her a new set of morthy Richards and some shiny utentials. What more does an old girl who can cook the best yorkshire pud and roast beef in England want at her time of life? Arn't they lucky in Norwich? We are stuck with the peculiar Khans who appointed a 'er' Crazy German by the name of Felix. This time around guys' this time around!!!!!!

No Loopy Larry here' and i think i am building up a head of steam in my support starting with 'Len'? I am hoping that Arizonan can feel the love for Fulham again and join my consensus. This guy knows something on German football, and he needs a long term project. Fulham will suit the bill and we can grow with this. Feel the love!!!!!!!

Owen, in my opinion your post is constructive, perceptive and interesting. Like most of your posts you offer a sensible opinion and I for one would not disagree. I was against Parker's appointment virtually from the word go and suggested he gained experience in a non-league club. He has failed to inspire the team or the supporters and the negativity of his tactics against WBA, a game we needed to win, I found extremely disturbing. Norwich, despite their failings, play attractive football, and, as you pointed out, on a tight budget. Your suggestion has merit and I believe it will be a grave mistake, whether or not we gain promotion, to retain the services of Mr Parker.

I'm not a Parker fan and he has proven to be ineffectual against teams with experienced managers who have constantly outthought him in all aspects including, team selections, tactics, substitutions. Although Parker is a big problem Tony Khan is the bigger one. An experienced DoF is required to oversee team matters within. The Khans track record in recruiting managers is shocking so it's doubtful if another appointment will be successful under the present regime and setup . I'm afraid we are stuck with Parker, warts and all and the Khans will allow him to train on the job at the team's expense .

John I agree with you . Last night we had nothing to lose and our £60M forward line ended up producing bugger all . Mick McCarthy summed it up , when we win the ball back there is no urgency , we “reset” and slowly (terribly slowly) start to walk our way forward and sideways giving the opposition all the time in the world to defend . On cost alone our squad should be capable of better

I said earlier that it was an attacking line up. It just makes no sense why we did not play that way, with very little to be gained from a point. I get that Parker is going to be outsmarted by most managers in this division- it's the inevitable price of going with inexperience. I still worry about the way he comes across in interviews, if this is the way he comes across to the players. But there are signs that he is growing into the job and I'd be surprised if he is not still manager at the start of the season. But this was the game for taking risks and it is so disappointing that, for whatever reason, the team didn't play that way.
Replies
totally correct. Feel very disappointed cos we didnt really have a go. A draw was no better than defeat whereas west brom would probably taken a draw before the game. why did we wait until last minute of normal time to play with back 3? The first half we were slow and predictable. 2nd half only marginally better With our squad and wage bill i feel we should be able to turn it on and really stretch other teams.

I think you are right but Parker is paid to make those decisions in fact he may even lose his job if he gets it wrong an he opted to play a reasonable style and hoped to nick one somewhere. Tonight that never happened so he will also be disappointed

WBA are not in second place for nothing they are a very good team to whom a point was a point near promotion. If A K had shot a few inches lower we would have won. It was a very tight and my only criticism of Fulham is when they gave us the ball we should have broken quickly with big numbers, but fear of being caught on the break stopped that. Fear of losing ruled the game, something in the players mind not in the managers.

Look at Parker’s career. He was an aggressive little spark plug who read the game beautifully and punched above his weight. He outworked and out-thought bigger stronger faster players. He managed the game, made the safe passes - no creativity to him. He has built the team in this mold. It’s unbelievably boring, but it is disciplined and hard-working. We are the 4th best side in the division, have been all year, today was no different. It won’t surprise me if we finish 4th, win our two legs by a single goal, then play WBA or Brentford. He will have plodded us to Wembley.
Replies
We started of brightly enough but after the drink break Brom came more into the game. Slavan Bilic has a world of experience, and it told today with his substitutions. Fulham only look part dangerous at corners nothing else. Kabano has come on a few times now but sadly, he doesn't do enough to supply Mitrovic up front. Knockheart runs out of ideas beyond the halfway line...

Kebano has been crap when starting or coming on as a sub, cant even score a simple header from five yards out. He's rubbish. Our subs bench is so defensive it's untrue. Why doesn't Parker put Stansfield on the bench and use him if required. Could he do any worst than Kebano, Cavaleiro, probably not and he would give much required speed upfront.

I must say that was the most dumb-founded substitution i have ever seen Parker do. Knockheart for all his 10 million gave us one moment when he hit the crossbar but not much else. Knockheart will chip in with his share of defensive duties but he is not doing what he was paid for enough. Knockheart links up well but he loses the ball in the final 3rd too often. Kabano isn't putting over ant decent crosses for Mitrovic often enough. If i could, i would have reminded Parker that it was only the intervention of Johansen last week that Josh Onomah linked up nicely to get our goal. Our problem upfront, is that we don't gel, there is no understanding after all the tip-tapping around we do. Didn't Parker make a note about his so-called genius substitution last week involving Johansen? Scott Parker has been more flukey rather than brilliant when it comes to subs i think. We would have done better with Slavisa for experience. Who keeps saying that Stephan Johansen cannot play a full 90 minutes? Why not??? We need players who know what they are doing in the heat of the game. Not enough Fulham players know. Harrison Reed is most likely MOTM for us with his block tackles. Reedy moved the ball up to whoever in great style, but sadly we lose it up front yet again. I hope this is Parkers finale season, he doesn't know enough about management. Is Slavisa here yet??? WE CAN STILL B&Q IT!!! COME ON FULHAM!!! PARKER IS A NUMPTY!!!!!!!

Big Red' they all will struggle in prem now. Chris Houghton who is supposed to be our next had done it with Brighton and Norwich, yet also relegated. Howe at Bournemouth relegated first season back in prem, got 2nd chance. Same as Sean Dyche also 2nd chance. My argument concerning Slavisa is that he would get more from this squad and tactically, he is years ahead of Scott Parker. I could be wrong but i would give him another go on the theory that Khans 100 mill mistake for players wasn't Slavisa's choice. I would rather give Slavisa another try, (we can always sack him) Slavisa would get much more from Mitrovic for a start. Sometimes another chance in many of life's journeys can bring great joy and happiness. It would make my xmas to see Slavisa make a comeback. Ali did it, Slav can do it, we can B&Q IT!!!!!!!

I doubt we would even fill our beloved Cottage next season if parker keeps up the Crab Football or still in the job and if Fans are allowed back to watch matches had better make their feelings shown by booing the negative back and sideways passing which is causing our midfielders and strikers to be indecisive when in front of goal as they are probably surprised to have a shot at goal.Shame that we do not have Joka as after Xmas he always got the players playing very well the 23 unbeaten run unforgettable. If Parker doesn't get us promoted I personally think he will be sacked or moved down to Coach simply on the basis of losing to the Barnsley double Over us and Hull. Also I think a progressive forward thinking coach would have got us over the line.

There is a lot to be desired and perhaps not pretty, but credit where credit’s due! We are currently on an extraordinary run, having played some strong opposition. Yes, we are certainly not as good as Brentford, but, in all honesty, they are looking the best of a very mediocre league. I can’t see any promoted team staying the course but give Parker some credit

... always the extra lil bit missing. Knockaert was dreadful. How many passes can you miss on the break (and almost cost us as the last man late in the game)? Not one set piece posed any danger. Ream is an accident waiting to happen, Hector looked super slow... Bobby yet again in the poor poor man’s Aluko role (I miss this guy). I know, I know, the usual, but man, still very frustrating... I would bring Christie as a winger next game and see what happens. Also H. Reed played with some cojones, good player.
Replies
Bobby Reid is too lightweight up front and offers very little. Over-rated, and i agree that Aluko is the better player. I forget his name, but that little player on loan from Chelsea who broke his leg at Leeds is also better than the likes of Knockhreat and Reid... There is only Josh Onomah who might make something happen. We need Tom Cairney back now...

Always tried to be a supporter of Parker, but after today my patience is wearing thin.I am sure the most of us would not have minded if we lost as long as we gave it a go, for a game we needed to win the tactics where terrible, playing for a draw, slow going forward bringing on a defender at the end what in heavens name was the point in that. To late to sack him now but we need to look for somebody new next season.

Tough one to call. Think it will be a real nervey affair with West Brom parking the bus. They are so close now and a draw would suit them better than us so they'll probably play on the break and that is not when FFC are at their best. I'm going for 0-0 with very few talking points.

Can't see us making auto prmotion even if we win so resigned to playing Forest in the semis which, I think we'll win and then West Brom or Brentford in the final. Hopefully West Brom because my company will likely sponsor Brentford next term ;0).

I mean, sure, two results aren't necessarily season defining, but they've beaten the teams they needed to, they ARE the form team in the division, have established themselves as a Championship side, and are now reaping the benefits. It's definitely a 'rags to riches' scenario we're seeing (comparable to Leicester of 2015/16 and Sheffield United of 2019/20), and if you can't agree with that, then following sport may not really be for you. Of course, as a Fulham fan, I hope the wheels come flying off, but whatever happens, Brentford deserve to be promoted.

So it's all over the press that the ex-Brighton manager wants to replace Scott Parker should he be fired for not making the Prem this season.

You never know with the press whether it's a made up story or not but taking it at face value; a little on the disrespectful side Chris don't you think? I'm not a Parker fan but speaking ill of the dead when they are not even sick yet is a little beyond the pale for me and Hughton's brand of football would certainly not match our squads strengths.

So Mr Hughton, do yourself and us a favour and wind your neck in please because this kind of speculation does not help anyone - including you....

Sorry to learn of the passing of "gentleman" Jack, being Mr Jack Charlton of England 1966 and Leeds United. Say what you like about any team would still like to have a centre back like Jack Charlton today. Leeds United, it wasn't always pretty, but it was successful under Don Revie. He resurrected his career elsewhere and no more succesfully than as Manager of Eire Republic. Talking of centre backs This is from Brede Hangeland talking about Craig Bellamy. During the handshakes before the game, Bellamy took my hand. He was a head lower than me. He looked me straight in the eye and said, "You f****** w*****". I was thinking, “What the hell? I've never even met you!" Amazing insight, but we're not sure how popular Hangeland will be if he ever comes back to the Premier League. Why not get him in as a coach for our defence or use him to look out for tallented footballers in Scandinavia?

Sessegnon went off to Spurs with a good solid reputation and Josh Onomah came our way as part of the deal. It was a decent exchange as far as i am concerned. They got our best talent we produced and we got Onomah who was a dud to start with. We did warn Spurs that young Sess wasn't a true left-back and so on. Tottenham only have Mourinho to blame for their troubles because Mourinho ruins youth development. The clock is ticking down to the time that Daniel Levy brings the axe down on Mourinho. In the meantime, we are developing and growing Josh Onomah, who is going to be a monster talent for Fulham. I shouldn't blame Tottenham or Mourinho too much because big clubs don't always have the patience or time to develop young players. In the pursuit of a Champions league spot and 4th place at best, Spurs can only dream of ever winning the prem again. Especially with Mourinho in charge, no chance!!!
Replies
Get Sess and Roberts back. Should be a requirement that if a club pays over £10m for a player under say 23 then the player must play 30 games a season unless injured and certified by an independent quack. If not you loose 10 points. Stop clubs buying players they don’t use and ruining young careers. Levy wrecked Dempsey before.

..Or you could view the flip side TTIN.

No player is forced to sign for any club and these youngsters might sign for Chelsea knowing that they are likely to get first team fotball as a professional at an early age (somewhere) and then, at least, have an opportunity to play for CFC or getting a pay day if and when they are sold on.

You can't always blame the clubs when the players, in the vast majority of these circumstances, hold all the cards and they and their parents are constantly being badgered by their agents looking to earn on THEIR asset.

I blame the greed of the agents more than anyone and secondly the players and their parents....

You must give full credit to Parker he knew he was going to be a great player and has developed that talent. If he continues to play as number 10 he will score and make a lot of goals. Parker let him find his feet is a defensive midfielder role and now he has launched him as an attacking force.

No reason not to give credit where it’s due. They don’t have resources to sign players like Mitro, TC, Cav, Knockaert but they have outperformed us so far this year. Their coaching, players and style of play would likely see them stay up too, so I hope they make it. I also think it’s fair to say we have a better chance against West Brom at Wembley. It’s all about this next match, obviously. If we win and Brentford lose or draw we can take it to the last day for 2nd.

According to the Sun's Alan Dixon's column, Chris Hughton, would jump at the chance to manage Fulham, if we fail to get promotion this season, and Scotty Parker is sacked. Sounds good, but ask any Brighton fan around where I live in Susses, and they would tell you that they wouldn't touch him with a barge pole, as he plays boring, I must not lose football, which we wouldn't put up with for a moment. Even if we miss out this season, and only Brentford in my opinion, are our biggest problem, should we meet them at Wembley, then I have a feeling that the Khan's will give Scotty Parker another season to get us back to the Premier League, as although I have been one of his biggest critics, he has almost got us back at the first attempt, and of course he might yet do it even now, so maybe he is not that bad after all.
Replies
Like many on this site I'm not a great fan of our present manager, but give the man his due we are starting at long last to look and play like a decent side who could return to the Premier league one way or another. WBA will be real test of where we are.At times we look realy good inspite of not taking enough of our chances. Obviously Brentford will be tough to crack as they are playing at the top of their game, unlike many on our site I have no interest in them as a club, but no one can deny they deseserve to be near the top of the league.

Parker showed an incredible amount of tactical awareness to win three games without our best player. He changed tactics a number of times in each match and the players obviously love him. This is a very difficult league to succeed in an we have done very well. We have an excellent manager both inspirational and a tactical genius. Stop knocking him and start praising him.

Return of Cairney creates a dilema: For me, must starters are Rodak, Hector, Reed, Onomah (in cam) and Mitro. Form the team around that. But where does Cairney come in? The Arter-Reed pairing makes us more solid, and Arter has proven his worth with goals against Forrest and Qpr. Plus, i feel we are quicker moving the ball up the pitch without Cairney, less solid defensively with him, and he is in no-mans-land when playing as a CAM. But he is the captain, experienced, and has a touch of magic no other playing in our team has. So, does he play? Who goes? Presumably Arter, in which case does this slow us down, and weaken us defensively. The recent cameo of Prime StefJo also forces him into contention. The only thing I know for certain is that Bobby Reid is not a striker, and without Reed we are a mid table team at best.
Replies
I would much rather we kept Cairney on the bench.Tom has been a fine servant to the club in recent years but this season he has been less than impressive.Although Tom is our official captain, let's be honest, his leadership is non-existant.As for Bobby Dec.,the young man obviously has talent and always puts in a good effort. However he is plainly not a striker. So that's two issues to be addressed for next season-find a genuine goal-scorer to help Mitro and appoint a genuine leader as captain.

Johansen will be very important to our late charge. The puzzle about him is his fitness and can he play a full 90 minutes? Not saying we will be needing Johansen to complete a full shift, but a full fitness in him will help. We still struggle to finish off moves and score goals between the likes of Knockaert, Cavaliero, Bobby Reid, etc. Against Cardiff Mitro made the penalty and executed it, 1 goal. Reid struggles a lot in the striker role because he is too light-weight. His scoring boots isn't the best and he missed a header point-blank. We can see the difference in Johansen for 30 odd minutes. Johansen is experienced and his know-how can close out games if we need to. The rapidly improving Josh Onomah will benefit in having Johansen on the pitch, and for 90 minutes if able. It didn't take long for Onomah to pick up the pass from Johansen which tells me a lot. Tom Cairney could be crucial in playing. Only a fool will dismiss Cairney over the other 3 in Cavaliero, and Knocks etc. If we have a situation where we cannot make a breakthrough against Brom? The potential creativness of Cairney can come into play...
posted by OWEN (Guest) - Sunday 12th July 2020, 2:16 AM

We are certainly more direct and more potent without Cairney. He is however a very good player and if Parker tells him to be more positive he can still make a contribution. Parker made some brilliant tactical changes when Mitro and TC were missing and I trust him to improve the whole team even more. Some of us are beginning to realise what a top manager we have.
posted by The Time Is Now - Sunday 12th July 2020, 7:17 AM

This site is for opinions and of course they are different from one supporter to another but Arter should not get a place in the team over Johansen and as others have said already his pass without looking in the first half which almost led to a Cardiff goal was criminal. However I do applaud the goals he has scored.

Tom Cairney has been mainly ineffective this season,as for captain never seen Such an uninspiring figure as a captain. He’s a decent championship player but would be looking to unload him, leave him in the bench he might be able to give us a decent last 20 minutes.

Agree totally Chief about TC. Mind you giving the armband to Mitro after his MMA antics at Elland Road was both laughable and ridiculous. In my opinion Hector should be made Captain as he's an inspriring figure and would command respect from those around him.

Harrison Reed, a holding midfielder, is the focal point under SP - probably bc he’s the player most like Parker in the squad. Parker has shifted the emphasis from Slavisa where it was waves of attack, all orchestrated by TC and some by StefJo. Now TC is ancillary. He looks lost and without purpose in our methodical possession game. We are now a true 4-2-3-1 under SP, whereas Slav almost played a 3-4-3 in attack, with Odoi/KMac/Ream at the back. And it shows in the clean sheets. Point being: TC would be happier and more effective with a different manager and system. Look at how Ollie Norwood has thrived at Sheffield United. It’s all about fit, this is a bad one.

Once upon a time i followed the gee-gees, and i followed a horse closely by the name of Binderee. Binderee romped home in the grand national trained by Nigel Twistern Davis. Tom Cairney just might be pivotal in our season yet, i wouldn't write him off. Cairney can handle the big occasions and we must not forget his great goal for us in the playoff final. The killer pass was executed by Sessegnon, so there you go. We might have a another big game like that one and trust me' there is no substitute for experience and form. Tom Cairney just like a good horse, will run into form at the right time...

Looks like we may be in with a chance to return to the big boys club, if the Manager can muster a victory over West Brom, we might not even need the play offs. I am worried though if we do go up, we really do not need another season like the last in the Premiership. What do you think? How many of our current side could cut it in the Premiership week in week out. There is not going to be the money but surely we will have learned the lessons from last time and not go out and buy French and other foreign players who have great potential, but no experience in the top flight in this country. We need to pick up players with a few years left in their legs who have played regularly at the top! Nothing else will do unless we become a YO YO club. Bournemouth have a couple of decent players but not Harry Arter (sorry Stuart, hope this does not mean trouble at home).
Replies
Most teams that are coming up will be yo-yo clubs now because it is so much more difficult to settle down. Sheff Utd have found the strategy and i don't know how they do it but they are doing it. It is a far contrast to teams like Villa who are struggling. Money doesn't always solve problems, but you still need to invest something. Norwich are the perfect example of the typical yo-yo club we are talking about here. They have been up and down so many times now we have lost count. Delia Smith is a recipe for disaster and she will surely sack the manager now? Maybe Delia should do something different and not sack the manager? It worked for Bournemouth and Burnley...

Well, we've made the playoffs so well done the lads. Against Cardiff we made so many mistakes, Arter again, Ream and that cavalier Horton but luckily, so did Cardiff. Anyway, recent performances showed we are not ready for return to EPL. I believe Villa are a better side and have we ever beaten Bournemouth? No question that the best team in the top 6 is Brentford. Against Derby (Rooney and teenagers) they were solid and I tried to count how often they passed the ball back - not much I promise you. Last statistic I saw when we lost was that we had 77% possession with half that from Kearney to Ream to Horton to Rodat (and back). I really do want FFC back in EPL but realistically, well ....

So we’re now gauranteed a play off place, after our usual slow start we’re now gaining momentum and will be tough to beat in the playoffs. All the criticism Parker has been accused of maybe some of it questionable congratulations to him and he’s staff,1st season in charge won’t be considered a success until we’re promoted. Although looking at teams coming down definitely nothing to worry about next season.

Yeah he has matched Slav who got knocked out against reading in the playoffs and it’s sp first ever full season as a manager. I think he has always had one eye on making a team who will stay up if they get promoted and to do that make a team that is hard to beat rather than free flowing full of goals, as we saw last time that kind of team gets ripped apart in the premiership. I think he is now rotating and concentrating on getting the squad ready for the playoffs, where again been hard to beat is historically a good formula, even Slav put the breaks on when we won the playoffs against derby and villa. We were unlucky to play Leeds and Brentford straight out of lockdown, I think if we’d have got them when we were originally going to we would of got some points from those matches. It’s great to see everyone on here getting behind the team.

There was nothing whatsoever classy in our performance against Cardiff who put up a good fight. Our passing was over-kill on a lot of final balls and we can do better. Maybe just maybe, we are slowly coming to the boil nicely but we need to polish things up out there on the pitch. We have not quite got the slickness yet of past Fulham teams but there is still time. Johansen should be first on the team-sheet because of his experience, and experience will help out players like the ever-improving Josh Onomah. I have been very critical of Scott Parker, but he can be very proud for the work he put in with young Onomah. The more i see of this guy, is the more i like him. Onomah is strong as an oxx and he looks so composed on the ball. I liked the way he took his goal and cool' no need for a big hoo-ahh celebration. Brilliant snap-shot bang on target. Bobby Reid and Knockheart should clean his boots and learn to shoot straight! Johansen is pure experience. Do you see how he recieves the ball and his slight body turning away and drawing in player to commit a fowl? Johansen goes to ground to eat up some more time. You can't buy that experience. We have chance after chance in and around the box, but again our final ball is not good enough until Johansen enters the battle. That pass to Onomah in a tight area is what was needed and Johansen is our man. Over to you Scotty Parker and we can take the fight to West Brom. A combination of Onomah, Johansen, and what the heck' bring back Tom Cairney. We will need much more cohesion and accuracy in our passing game against 'Better' opposition. We will need to be sharper and do let's quicken up the tempo. Tim Ream if he plays will need to defend better against better opposition. We need more of a positive impact from Knockheart, Cavaleiro, and Bobby Reid. Especially in the goal department. COME ON FULHAM!!! WE CAN B&Q IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

A bit too critical on Bobby Reid who had a good game along with the other Reid. We still need goals from these guys other than Mitrovic...

After reflection, agreed Len, good performance! I want to say that maybe we were too hard on Josh Onomah with our comments on here. Shocking really! This young guy is a great find by Scott Parker to be honest. A big big talent for Fulham. Well done Scott Parker!!! Kunye' you watch a lot of young players in reserves? I think you will agree about Josh???

Yes josh certainly a much improved player, but to be quite honest still gutted about young Matt, and Jay not given game time.Come on Parker now the foot is slightly off the excelerator give some of our talented youngsters some game time before we release them on a free.

Cardiff make it difficult whoever they play as when they get the ball they nearly always get it in the box in dangerous areas. We defended everything they threw at us, had a lot of possession, created a good number of chances and scored two goals, one a very good one. That was one of the most impressive games of the season as far as I am concerned. If we had played like that against Leeds and Brentford we would have on. It looks promising as you need a solid defence to win the playoffs.

Other than Arter, who was off his game, we played well. More chances created than in most matches, easily could've been 5-0 with those three point-blank headers for Bobby, Cyrus and Neeskens. Nice to finally see StefJo on the pitch for longer stretch, he's always been a creative passer. Mitro doesn't seem 100% fit, but he worked hard tonight. The team seems to be rounding into shape. Very impressive again by Harrison Reed. We haven't been the second best team in the league this year... but stranger things have happened! COYW!

Have to say reed is playing well need to sign him suspect he could go on to bigger and better things don’t think it will be with us though shame

I agree that Bobby Reed is a superb addition to the team. I don't think I have seen him play badly in any game since the restart. Can anybody tell me why Fulham haven't snapped him up,yet we have given permanent contracts to Knockaert and Cavaleiro. I am not yet convinced that these two add anything to the team except to run about a lot without any end product.

We have a very strong squad and should be top of the League, but to win the Championship you need more than class, you need grit, toughness, teamwork and a lot of luck. We are nearly there and next season we will be brilliant.

Got to say the style of football offensively is terrible lately. 3 shots on target last three games it seems. Don’t Know why Ream can’t see danger anymore and the passing is soooo slow

Ream and Arter are gifting this to Cardiff . Ream cannot play out of defence , he’s becoming a joke

Off the top of my head the last complete performance 4-0 home to millwall early on in the season?

It probably was a penalty, but it was a soft one, but overall we are second best, despite being in the load. I do feel sorry for Bobby Reed, as he tries so very hard but time and again over the season, he either hits the bar, or keepers make great saves, surely his luck must change soon.

Not saying johansen should start next game but he’s done nothing wrong since he came on, found a white shirt with every pass and worked hard off the ball

Not lovely to watch, but a very workmanlike win, and we showed tremendous guts, against the Rough House Rangers, crumbs I wouldn't want to watch that lot week after week. What has changed for us, is the form of Reed, who was great again tonight, and Bobby Reid, who just needs a goal from all of his hard work. It was our attack that was supposed to win of a place of spot, now guaranteed, but all of a sudden it's our defence that is seeing us through.

Let’s not forget dear old Bri is assistant DOF at our club. I’d be obliged if anybody could inform me what player Bri or his team have scouted under his, er, leadership? Really, any successes? Has his lad given us any value? Surely he’s not asst DOF just tick boxes. Is he?

Yes it is difficult to understand, but Simon has a point. What value has Talbot and his son given to justify their positions of recruiting talent for the Club. A Tony clone yes man, sitting in his office doing sod all and ticks the boxes when asked to do so. If we had a competent scout who actually visited grounds around the country and watched lower league matches, we might actually have unearthed a Dele Alli , Varney type player. Bring back Mike Rigg, all's forgiven.
