Hi everyone — bit of a long shot but thought I’d ask. We’re over from Jersey and will be in Liverpool for the Grand National weekend, which happens to be when Fulham are playing at Anfield. One of the lads is a Liverpool fan and already has a ticket in the home end, but the other two of us can think of far better things to do than sit in their end! ?? I signed up as a Fulham member hoping to buy tickets, but I didn’t realise you need the £25 membership tier to be eligible for this game. So I was wondering if anyone who isn’t going but does have access to tickets might be able to help us get two? It would be massively appreciated. Cheers in advance! ????

Yesterday, as we all know, was mothering Sunday, and those in a position to be visiting their parents, or mother's, were at least spared the the two hours or so watching Fulham's performance at Nottingham. There has been some quite severe criticism of our performance, and it was one of our poorest displays for a long time, and yet we didn't lose the match, and came away with a point without too much effort, so what does that say about Forest. Bournemouth, who are on a long unbeaten run, were satisfied to come away with a similar result to us at Burnley, so we came home with another point. We all moan about VAR, but yesterday it saved us from not only giving away a penalty, but disallowed what looked like a pretty decent goal at the time. Yes I am disappointed that we didn't win, but I would have been seething if we had lost. I do wish however, that this Marco and his contract could be sorted out soon, as I do think that it isn't helping with our form at the moment.

So surprise surprise, our form is fading at the end of this season! The answer this time is simple, the boss isn't commited so why would his playing staff be? The board should tell Silva "sign now or we withdraw the new contract" If he doesn't sign they could then put a new plan in place before the summer break and start next season with a settled squad.

Ok we ended with point and were helped by at least one offside decision . But the season long problems have resurfaced . Anderson gets caught out too often and resorts to fouls . There is a lack of creativity in midfield and no punch upfront . Plus some shameful acting on petty tackles - Tete and Bassey in partic - not good to see

Thank goodness we change halves, that wind is deadly. Bassey should have scored but not to be. Good set up but slightly worried when we lose the ball in those midfield areas. Where is Smith Rowe? Would like to see Sessegnon with the more experience out there, but all good so far.

We can't get and won't get Xabi Alonso because he is touted for Liverpool when they sack Arne Slot, we just know that Dutch managers don't gel in the prem but we just don't learn. How about Carlo Ancelotti who is currently in charge of Brazil. I think he must win the World Cup and if can't, he will be available to all clubs after and i think he could be tempted to have a go with Fulham again back in the prem. Ancellotti is 66 and if we don't fancy the old man how about his son, Davide Ancelotti age 36 and a chip of the old block. Jose Mourinho at Benfica will fancy a move back to London because he loves London and i think we could oblige him and we can have a lot of fun and more coverage from the press who love him. Last night Forest again were beaten 1- nil, so there are no excuses if we field our stringest side we should be odds on to win at the City Ground should be a matter of course. Not if we give them a 1 - nil start or fail to concentrate over the whole 90 minutes. Too many goals have been scored against us late on.

They are playing now and 0-0, not watching it. We have the jump on them come Sunday and if we are organised and compact enough we should beat them. Forest i believe have put out their strongest side tonight and that should be good news for us with a fresher squad come Sunday. We can stop the rot and get back to winning ways and another 3 points.

I don't think there's a better manager out there or in a long long time that has the skill of Marco to turnaround players. He's man management skills is probably 2nd to none. See Raul, Iwobi, Willian, Bassey, Smith-Rowe, Chukwueze, Sess, Pereria, Diop and maybe also Leno and Wilson. All joined the club as damaged goods. he turned them around and Fulham got amazing value out of these players. There might be a few exceptions in which Marco unable to rehabilitate like Traore but I really can't think of many. That makes Marco a genius!!! However, like all geniuses they have flaws. Marco is no different. The flaw I think Marco has is he's record of turning an average player into a very good player is very limited (hence, also explain why we showed little profit in our transfers) and evident why we have so few players coming through the system. Even Josh and Muniz - has Marco able to turn them into a finished product. Probably not yet! There's Marco's weakness. But i can live with that as it is a skill very very few managers (unless you are a Brighton/Brentford headcoach) have, and often it is more luck than coaching.

Southampton who knocked us out of the cup last Sunday, are losing to near the bottom of the Championship WBA,and Port Vale, who beat Sunderland, are losing 0-2 at home to Bradford. It makes it hard to understand, how two poor sides, in their respective leagues, can beat two Premier League sides. In both cases they will be walloped in the next round.

It is reported that FFC are seeking Jens Bethol Askou the current manager of East Kilbride and former Manager of FC Copenhagen, AC Horsens and Torshavn as a replacement for Marco Silva. Well the fact that he has a high rate of wins, you also have to consider against what sort of opposition? How would he with no Premiership experience fair against Arsenal, Man City of United? It would be like appointing Sean Dyche, who I believe is an honest and decent Manager, but incapable of puttting any club in the top five. We need someone like Dieaglo Simmone, Guus Hiddink or Julian Naglesman to progress to the next stage or KEEP Marco Silva but offer him better terms!

Two dead horses in three days at Cheltenham. Tragic and unnecessary!!

We have all had our two pennies' worth of what went wrong or who messed up and who was useless playing against Southampton and the truth is most apart from Lecomte should take some blame from our loss. Should have played Jimenez instead of Muniz is nonsense because take out Jimenez and a 100% penalty stat, and his excellent hold-up play ,Jimenez is never the most prolific of goal-scorers. Muniz still looks a touch weighty after his injury and yes he had one chalked off but i still think that H Reed and corners are low quality. Why does this matter? This is the prem we are talking about and if Arsenal had let's say 7 corners in 90 minutes, they would be a lot more quality and let's assume from 1 or two corners would lead to a goal. Our corners are woeful and low quality and not delivered good enough for Muniz or anyone. The sad thing about the corner episode is that Oscar Bobb didn't learn anything to write home about and it was a sideshow and embarrassing to see the young lad hold a finger up with a signal to nothing. The encouraging thing to come out of this, is that Oscar swung a brilliant corner in with his left foot which nearly converted into a goal and i hope Marco was taking notes because Oscar Bobb can and should take more corners, i wonder if anyone else noticed? If Muniz and Smith Rowe are useless, then you have to look at the chances missed by Sessegnon, Cairney, Castagne, etc etc. Or maybe i should be going to Specsavers?

Hindsight is an easy thing. Looking back I don't think anyone would argue Marco made a mistake and took too much risk with 9 changes and more importantly starting Reed and Cairney in the middle (always going to be too slow). But If we were more clinical, we will be here congratulating Marco of maximising the squad. Anyway - hindsight is easy. Everyone can have a bad day in the office, including Marco. So, let's move on! the squad should be 150% motivated now to win at Forest. 9 matches left - we still have a chance of the Europe if we can repeat the form we had over Christmas! At the end of the day, I'd rather lose to Southampton than Arsenal. So Marco have done us a big favour!!

Looking at up coming fixtures, two of which are clubs fighting against being relegated. Barring a miracle Burnley are already going back to the Championship, but Forest are fighting for their lives. To be fair to other clubs at the bottom, we should not duck and dive, with our lines ups, and put out our strongest teams, even if we are beaten. We will probably lose to Forest anyway, as Europe is not on our agenda, and Burnley will make it difficult for us. This is a difficult one. My personal feeling is Marco will move on. We need to be careful what we wish for. Transfers dithering..Marco's subs questionable..players performing great one week and abysmal the next...dodgy var decisions...late goals..injuries at vital times, (Wilson and Kevin would have made a difference today) Remaining matches pride only objective. Theoretical Europe still attainable with a vast improvement and a large dose of luck. Hate to say this but I think it's time to change the man at the helm. We needed to go full strength today to save our season after also blowing our European possibilities on Wednesday ! I’m not sure how we change this direction of travel it just seems an historical issue. The players must take responsibility today. So many corners,so much possession,so many touches in and around the Southampton penalty area but once again nobody can find that desire to get on the scoresheet ! With European football now so unlikely and out of both cups,I don’t think Marco Silva will find next season interesting enough to carry on at FFC. We’ve had some great moments but ultimately we consistently fall short again and again.

From all of the Fulham players and the coaching team . We looked bored , hardly strung 2 passes together , never really looked like scoring despite having 68% possession . And first sub was made in the 86th minute . This this time we cant blame the ref , we just were not good enough to beat an average Championship side who at least played with passion and pride .

ESR , Bobb, Sess , Muniz , Andersenwere all bloody awful , no fight no passion and a manager who let it happen without changing things yet again . We didn’t put in any effort until it was too late and Marco watched it unfold . So disappointed that he can watch this and apparently not even see it or care . It is obvious to the fans but not to Marco …..time to go .

Sorry to say but Marco Silva has reach the zenith of his potential with Fulham. Just like Scott Parker who has an enviable record at gaining promotion but an inability to compete in the Premier League, Marco does not possess the skills to push a team to achieve anything more than a mid table status. If you look at his stats for the final third of any season he has managed in the PFL there is a serious drop off and an obviously inability to sustain a team for periods of longer than a few weeks. He has at his disposal some gifted players none of whom seem able to perform within a Marco Silva team , despite showing moments of excellence. It’s the managers job to meld these player into a solid unit but week after week we see gifted players really not understanding what is expected of them. Therefore FFC has to move on with thanks to Marco for all he’s done for Fulham in the time he has been with the club. Unfortunately, we all have limitations, Marco’s has been reached.

You’ve done well for us, got us up and solidated us in premiership which are always be grateful. But you need to let us know now if you’re staying or leaving , planning is needed for next season is needed now. After doing well start of season we’ve faded badly again we’ve nothing to play for. We need to plot for next season now we’ve you or new manager now. Our last two games at home have been awful, and we have to stop these bad end to season before we have a bad start and don’t recover must sort out your main fault, your a good manager but something you must be doing wrong

Did we deliberately throw this game away or is it Marco fault for making so many changes. Once again I was impressed by Lecomte who once again was better than Leno and deserves to be our first choice keeper. I have long criticised Andersen who is more suited to rugby than football and is unfit to be captain. Time and time again he fouled players with no attempt to play the ball and he is slow and his positional sene beggars belief. To cap an abysmal match he gives away the penalty in the 91 minute of the game which was completely unnecessary. Southampton played with passion and pride, packing their defence when necessary and breaking quickly and had two wonderful chances in the first half from which they should have scored. For me I believe they deserved to win whilst we need to reevaluate why we are so poor at times that we seldom look like a Premium team. The players have, in general, become lackadaisical, appearing to go through the motions without making a supreme effort to achieve a result. I do not know if Marco has lost the plot or the players just don’t care. Today, our supporters could barely be heard whilst the Southampton fans did not stop singing which was wonderful to hear. I believe that Marco and the players must accept that their efforts are unacceptable to you guys who actually attend matches and pay their inflated salaries. Unless there is a significant change I suspect Marco will leave and we find a manager who is innovative and one who will tell the players that they are letting down the fans and themselves. The occasional win will not placate anyone and I for one consider that our representatives should tell the board something is wrong when the players lack the passion and desire.

How many corners did we have 15-16 and still counting? It did not make a difference because the quality was poor and i think the fewer chances Southampton created were better quality and i was surprised that they didn't score from one of their opportunities even before our penalty was given away by Andersen. Oscar Bobb up and signalling at the corner flag and the poor-man-midfielder Reed putting over dross, ridiculous! Oscar Bobb constantly loses the ball in areas where Southampton counter and they should have scored but for poor finishing. Sessegnon's worst game and he looks cumbersome and off his game. Muniz looks overweight and slow. Cairney was ineffective and pointless out there; the subbing of Iwobi was better but too late. Castagne is more wasteful than useful coming forward and nothing of quality comes from him, disallowed goal coming from him so what and no big deal and i could go on and on. Andersen is shockingly worse for coming back and we might as well promote Diop to central defender now. Sad to say it like this but ours was a p.ss poor performance and Marco's team selection was p.ss poor, which is putting it mildly.

If you do not put out your best side against compeitition from lower league clubs in Cup games you are always likely to get a rude awakenings. Yes Sessegon was bad, but some of our second 11 fielded today were worse. The question is now will Harry Wilson or Marco Silva be at the Cottage next season I suspect not.

Marco has done the job he was entrusted to do which was to keep us in the premier and establish a team capable of staying up. This task he has accomplished but does not have the talent or capacity to take us beyond, hence i think the moment has come to resign now, with dignity as he has had at his disposition a very good squad fro which he has been uncapable of getting the best out.
