I’d really like to know what the positive minded people on this board would like to happen to Arbeloa should we lose our next four PL games but beat Palace. Viz, Villa away, Toon at home, City away and Bournemouth at home. If we take six points from that lot then maybe there’s light and I’ll eat “humble pie” but can’t see it myself. Fingers crossed though.

What's with the negativity? should we lose the next 4 PL games??! Firstly, i don't think we will lose the next 4 PL games. Secondly, any manager in the Premier league losing 4 games in a row will probably have 50% getting sacked, and lastly, ultimately AA's position is determined by Fulham's position in the league. I don't think there's a question on the football he is playing. Ok on Saturday, we didn't play our best football but Bobb scored a goal of the month. But otherwise, can the fans not see the team are playing some excellent football and showing quality??

I agree JC I am being negative. I feel negative. In my opinion Arbeloa’s appointment is only succeeded by Felix Magath in terms of its stupidity. Obviously, I’ve been a season ticket holder for many years and I don’t want the team to fail but I just cannot see how this management regime cannot only end in tears. We’ve played attractive football against Hull and the first half of the United game and the rest has been dross in my opinion. His tactics are wild, his substitutions are baffling and his loyalty to the Spanish contingent is football suicide. I really hope Arbeloa succeeds but I just cannot see it. Sorry.

YES. Too many negatives. Our kkds/grandkids are looking at no jobs with any kind of future, ever increasing food cost, wars everywhere and coming here, planet self destructing, etc. etc. Don't drag any of that real negativity into our little slice of pleasure. Leave it at the turnstiles and collect it on the way out.

I feel the subs we made at Sunderland and Ipswich were very poor. The palace defeat was poor defending. But I believe Garcia and Palacios will prove to be good signings. And Affengruber is a great signing. And apart from Ipswich. Last few games have been a good all round improvement Liverpool Man Utd Hull and Coventry. Let’s get behind the manager and players and see what happens, I was very worried early on but his subs team selection have got better fingers crossed COYW

I agree with MST.. On way back from Coventry was pleased with win but very doubtful of future games. .Looking at it honestly..WE WERE POOR, wrong players, too many balls given away, 'game plan' - was there one?Apart from get to opponents area, then play keepy ball back to G.K. and give ball away around halfway line?
Question for A.A.- Why not try new tactics and whe reaching 20-25 yards from goal have a crack at target, instead of surrendering 40 yards of pitch? Pointless having light weight forwards in this league, have been at 'Cottage' now for 69 years and this set up has me worried, more than ever before!

Tibor; This post isn't about wars and politics. The football experts agreed that some of Arbeloa's tactics and subs were a touch iffy, and that's a fact! I think Larsson did a good job in Berge's absent first half and he is also a good signing. Subbings a lot better from Arbeloa but again there is a what if? What if Oscar had gone off before he scored that beauty of a goal? I suspect Arbeloa got a touch lucky and lucky Bobb didn't go off but they say, alls well that ends well. Arbeloa looks like he has turned a corner in the sense that we look like we are more determined to see games out and we have definitely tightened up which is good news. Let's see how we do against better opposition now.

No, it was a response to MST's negative feeling post in one or his replies. Seems we agree. I just can't let it go if i see too much gloom. It's like booing the team onto the pitch before games, would we do that? Or is it just okay to boo them before games on this site ,and just cheer when they walk out onto the field. If we are all together in support, I need to know the timing of these differing actions and why, so if i'm missing something I can get on board. We could try booing when we score also.

Just to be clear I would NEVER boo Fulham for any reason. Being a football fan is not just about support. When the need arises we should also be critical. Not out of spite but because we care and want our team to do better. Fan is short for fanatical and for me that relates to all aspects of the club. I.e. spending £100k+ on a font! Spending £100m+ on Andersen, Kevin and ESR. Recruiting a novice for a top job. Would Barclays employ a bank teller as CEO? No, so why have Fulham spent millions on Arbeloa and his love children?

Okay MST, apology accepted. Just no more booing please.

The last two games we have controlled them and deserved to win them. A win is a win and all this negativity astonishes me as we have a new manager using new tactics that the players have now successfully mastered with positive results. The opposition is irrelevant as you can only beat what is in front of you.

Spot on as usual Time. Although if I may say that sometimes it's not about what you have in front of you. I have witnessed some games where they sneak right up behind you and shout 'BOO!'. They don't like it up em Captain Mainwaring.

The only match that matters in the league is Villa away. I’ll enjoy the last two wins until about 10 minutes into the first half Saturday. One week at a time. Can’t we enjoy being out of the relegation zone for a few days. We’re gonna be bouncing in and out for the next 6 months. Pace yourselves.

TTIN is quite right: when the players seem to be right behind AA and just need to develop a little more as a team then the negativity on this site is astonishing. Would you rather be in Manchester (City or Utd)? One win for Spurs after spending that money and they sound off like they’ve just won the Double! I felt it is was noticeable in our game against Hull that we slowed the pace a little in the buildups, so keeping our shape a little better. However our crowd still got a tad impatient, wanting the ball forward more quickly. But we were rewarded by a clean sheet.

We are going to win the next two games handsomely so our if is far from reality.
