Liverpool scrape home, and although we didn't get to Wembley, and probably would have lost, beating Manure United, was even better in my book.

Dont usually like anything to do with Liverpool ( the people , city , humour , the 3 football teams ) but happy they won today . they have combo of expensive buys and home grown talent . Unlike Chelsea who have a good youth academy but unless you have been bought for £35M plus you wont get near the first team .

Who was the fairy who scattered magic dust over Muniz, as 4 or 5 weeks ago, I didn't think that he would even make the Crawley Town bench, let alone play for them, and I must admit I was sorry that we didn't get shot of him during January but now I have to ask myself, what I know about football, as all of a sudden, with have a Mitrovic Mark 11, playing so well, that he is even being mentioned as being picked for Brazil. I just can't believe how or why the transformation from a poor player into a top striker has taken place, and who we would now even dread being injured, and he could even be named as MOM, for the third match running. One person who had the faith in Muniz, that the rest of us didn't, let's be honest, is of course Marco, and what a manager he has turned out to be, along with Boa Morte. What a couple of wizards we have coaching our side, and long may that last.
Replies
Guess it’s all about confidence and competition. Seems Marco had something to do with the confidence ( he does seem to get the best from players that he believes in) and Broja has provided the bit of competition. Who knows? Who cares, it seems to be working?

Marco persisted with him so obviously realised he has class and just needed some luck. He now looks like a class striker who could do brilliant things for us if he stays for a while. We forget at time how young he is and he has made terrific progress very quickly. I am also impressed to see Iwobi score such a class goal yesterday, if that inspires him to regular goal scoring we have a double bonus and will win a lot more games. The only trouble is when we won those two 5-0 games and when we beat Arsenal, those were false dawns, let us hope this is not. The only trouble is if the opposition realise we are a decent team they will not take us for granted and give us all the unchallenged space Manchester United did.

It was obvious that Muniz has talent and i must say that the delivery into the box area has been poor overall. We are getting better now and with players such as Iwobi back things are up the up. I liked two things in particular about Muniz yesterday and the first was his brilliant hold-up play which resulted to our winning goal. That was excellent play to release Traore and the whole move started started from the back. Muniz has always been excellent at heading a football and for all this to happen you need the delivery and like i say, our deliveries into the box this season have been poor and wasteful in general. Just try to add up all those excellent build-up plays starting from the back and try to count all those miss-timed final balls and you would be shocked to know how wasteful we have been. There is a lot we can improve on in this team now and thats even before any more transfer windows which is mind-boggling.

That’s why Marco is paid millions and we the fans are not! He just added £10m to Fulham’s balance sheet in Muniz valuation. To be fair. Loaning him to Middlesboro set him back massively as they refused to even include him in the squad and killed his confidence.

Over the season there’s been a lot of criticism about Silva and he’s tactics/selection but you’ve got to go back a few years since we’ve had such a great campaign.Unfortunately I don’t think he’ll be with us much longer as bigger clubs will come calling but what a top manager who pulls results and performances out of nowhere.
Replies
Lot of people have not criticised him as they realise how lucky we are to have such a great manager when we have had so many useless ones over the years.

Slavisa could never quite work out all the jigsaws when we were short of players through reasons such as call-ups etc. Marco Silva seems to have the knack to shuffle the pack and work out what we should do next etc. A manager like Marco is worth his weight in gold to Chairmen like Khan who is quickly working out that Marco doesn't need shed loads of money to build teams

Owen the thing that annoys me when we beat Man U fair and square like yesterday it’s always about how badly Man U are its never about how FFC stopped them playing and were the better side in every department except goalkeeper who kept them in the game . Also pleased tom see we can adapt without Palhinha .

They said we were the better team and deserved to win and demonstrated how we did it. Manchester United are a big team and they have to discuss their failings. This is only the second time we have won there in 50 years as they have nearly always been much better than us.

We moan quite a bit about our passing to and fro and building up from the back but apparently we are everybodys favourite team to watch after their preferred teams. We had an amazing 15 minutes and first up on motd and this was the perfect game to showcase our talents and what we are about. I also think that we should be proud of our team which were excellent against a top team in Man Utd who are probably the most watched team in the world. We are all humbled now at Muniz who is showing the world of football what he has to offer and you can tell that there is a lot more improvement to come from him. Why now and why not before the jan transfer window? Some will say that if Muniz showed this early on it could have saved a lot of money. I like Broja on board because as we all know it only takes a dubious tackle and your striker is out for weeks or months. Another potentially big striker is now a must to tick along in the prem. We might be even more fortunate if Muniz links up well with Broja and that combination could be a good one, you never know until you try and Marco is the type to try both together. It is so obvious now that the African nation has limited our team and we have lost valuable points that would have seen us further up the table. Some were saying that our season was over but now we want to see how much more we can do this season, i am sure we all do now...

We have another pace-man to rival Robinson by the name of Traore who showed a snifter of what he can do and he did great today in helping us to beat Utd. Going 2-1 up with 7 minutes to go was not too stressful for us fans or our players. What could make the stress even less is if only Robinson could be more accurate with his final ball. We have plentiful chances and we could have easily put that game to rest with a 3rd goal but yet again we waste more than we want. My first line of thought was to say 'not again! We were starting to look wasteful again like we did in the Villa game. If only Robinson could be more accurate with his final ball, and it could make our task easier than we make it. Put it this way, if Traore can make life easier and it was a pleasant surprise that Traore kept his feet and composure to deliver a sweet pass to Iwobi to get our winner, i think Robinson is more than capable of doing the same. The difference in a 70 million pound player and one that can reach another level is to be more accurate with his final ball. A Robinson could even reach the next level which might mean better than playing for Fulham if his accuracy was to improve. That would mean we would lose him and that would e sad. Maybe a touch more accuracy just to improve your game personally is what i am trying to say. Maybe Robinson can read this post or even better still, get some advice from Marco Silva...
Replies
Iwobi is very fast as well and he showed great skill to score his goal. The other factor is Man U were trying to win the game and gave us a lot of space and their back four are not very good. Football is a game where generally you can only play as well as the opposition let you. We missed really good chances in the first half which was a shame as 1-4 would have been a much more truthful demonstration of our dominance of the match.

Best match in a Fulham shirt by miles. More comfortable not being a #6, and it showed. Drifted in and out of the action in the 2nd half, but he got stuck in and did well overall. Harrison Reed also had one of his better matches of the season. Well done by both covering for Palinha.

I don't really want to say this, but we hardly missed Palhinha today, so maybe we can do well again next weekend, when we play Brighton at home. Apart from loving beating Manchester United today, it also dispels the the theory that we can't beat teams near the top of the table. We have beaten Arsenal and West and given Liverpool a good run for their money, and we still have to play them at home. It's so annoying that we have lost at home to the strugglers Brentford and Burnley, and only drew with Everton. It's a funny old game.

Make no mistake, we want Palinha back quickly. Those spaces were opening up in the middle and we need our hard man back. At 1-1 Utd were starting to gain the upper hand before Traore had a good idea which worked out perfectly to Marco's instructions. Cairney cannot do that defensive role that Palinha does and there are gaps and spaces in midfield when they counter...

For every game we don’t play Broja, we have to pay more to Chelsea. Up to £4.5m apparently. I don’t care! If Muniz can sustain his performance, we will make 4 or 5 times more than whatever we have to pay Chelsea! He seems to be improving by the game, still a bit raw at times but his confidence is really adding to the game. We could have a £30m player here if he can score another 5 or 6 goals this season!

10 games played to date, a total of 812 minutes played. 1-1 draw today v bottom of league Fleetwood Town. Harris is a regular starter who has played the majority of the games for the full 90 minutes. No goals, no assists to date. Exeter fans are asking what he actually brings to the team? On the other hand Oliie O’Neill who recently left Fulham as he was told Fulham prefer Harris over him he has scored three goals for Leyton Orient in the same league and only played a quarter of the minutes Harris has played!
Replies
The Exeter fan base on their forum are questioning what Harris brings to their team and can’t understand why he is starting every game as he has made no impact whatsoever. No chance of playing for Fulham’s first team he not even up to league one standard. His level is U21 football that is it. Being a regular at the Fulham U21 fixtures I really feel for Ollie O’Neal that he didn’t get a chance because of the hype about Harris that’s all it is hype nothing more

Wow' firstly what brilliant substitution from our genius of a manager Marco Silva, who are the people who keep on saying he is one dimensional etc? I was impressed with Traore and before his brilliant run leading up to our second goal he had a few nice link-ups going forward. Traore is more than the Hulk who runs around bashing people up. He is showing composure and a sense of direction which is lacking in our team sometimes. It is looking like we have another effective weapon to add to our squad which needs more depth. I still say that we gifted Villa a win last week because we were wasteful and gave Watkins chances he didn't work particularly hard for. Not taking chances and opportunities because of our lacking in the final third is costing us points but we finally put that right today. Our boys let us and the manager down against Villa and todays reaction shows us in a better light. We are better than we think and i think some of the criticism was unfair. The return of Paliinha will see us creep up the table now with Bassey and Iwobi back with us. What a win!!! WE FINALLY BEAT MAN UTD AWAY!!!!!!!

Somebody did say that records are there to be broken and today we did it and what a fantastic response it was from our boys today. The game was in danger of being a replicate of the Villa game where we had chance after chance early first half and wasted them, especially Robinson and his final ball, we got to work on that problem. Who keeps saying that Muniz is a joke player and Brazil must be daft for even considering him? Muniz is proving more than okay and he was so unlucky with a couple of headers first half and his game overall was decent. A few have commented on Bassey and Iwobi being the missing link in our squad and it so is proving right. Congratulations for Bassey and his first for Fulham and what a great reaction in his second attempt, he pounced on that one. I started to worry when Cairney came on because all i could see were big gaps and openings for Utd when we lose the ball. They are Man Utd and sooner or later they were destined to take control after being a goal down. 'Yes' i think that Leno was at fault for the Maguire goal and he might have held on to that even though we had bodies around. By the odds of gravity or what you call it a rebound will land to the opposition and i guess slow boat Maguire got there. Hands up who thought that the introduction of Traore was mickey-mouse and a comedy? Traore did exactly what Marco sent him on for and that was to utilize his pace to get up the pitch. What was so impressive about
Replies
What was so good about us Fulham today is that we regained our composure after the Maguire equaliser and Marco Silva's brilliant and astute sub in Traore and the plan worked. It needed some perfect control and release from Traore and he finally is showing that he is more than a footballer with speed and no brains.

I was given to understand that there would be a decision on Everton's points appeal this week, but it now seems that this has been pushed back until the end of the month. Now I'm no Everton fan, but surely it is utterly unfair on this club and their fans, who are left in limbo. The same can be said of Nottingham Forest. Why is that the FA, are so slow in making big decisions. I would be furious if this was happening to Fulham.

I'm really sorry but you lot calling out clubs as cheats have absolutely know idea what you are writing about! In the case of Everton, the appeal surrounds loans that they took out for the stadium build and if that WAS the case and the funds were NOT used for the general running of the club. then their appeal will be upheld.

We are not going to get relegated, probably even if we lose all our remaining games (remember Forest and Everton will have more points docked and can't see Burnley or Sheff United getting 30points). We are not good enough to get into Europe. there's no way we can make up 10 points on Chelsea, Newcastle and Brighton - and not just catching one team, we need to catch 6. So what's left to play? I think last week lost to Villa was a classic case that no body really cared, spoke up, rant etc. we just accepted it because it doesn't matter. It is almost it doesn't matter we win or lose anymore this season!! Last season we had a slim chance of a European place. Previously we were fighting for every single point for survival. This season feels like its finished and we might as well head to the beach now!
Replies
Surely you want to get more points to increase the likelihood of Brentford being relegated? The ideal situation would be we get more points but lose points to teams in direct competition with Brentford to improve their chances of going down. I’ve a few bets going on Hounslow Ladies dropping like stones but of course that’s not my motivation at all.

Great post Johnc' and i sincerely hope that we have not given up. Marco Silva expressed his anger and disappointment and i hope our team responds and reacts and show some determination and fight against Man Utd this Saturday. It is way too early for pampered footballers to down tools and book holidays and for some bench warmers, that would be their downfall. There is and should always be fierce competition coming off the bench and woe betide any of the regulars playing if they decide to go through the motions on the pitch. I just don't think that Silva will put up with or accept this. Muniz should want more goals, Broja should still have the desire to recover from injury asap and put in performances before his loan move is up. Ream should want to put in some solid performances to secure a possible 1 or 2 year deal at the age of 35 or 36? I could go on but you get my point. Marco Silva will not accept any less from our team and this is a good debate but there are no worries i am confident of that...

It is still possible for us to get a European place but equally we still need to wind three or four games to be safe. The season is far from over. I have not seen any evidence our our players relaxing, it is just on paper most of the teams in this league are better than us and we have to work very hard and get a lot of luck to get anything,

I always see a full house of away fans at Fulham 95% of the games, even against small teams like Burnley or playing Newcastle at 8pm on a cold Wednesday night. The away games I've been to not often sold out and generally only 70% full. Perhaps there's a correlation here?!

I have been to more than a few away games, over the years, and I have always found our fans a really passionate lot, of which I have been proud to be a part of. However, most of my away visits, have ended in defeat, including at least 3 recent visits to Burnley. In fact, I am trying to remember the last victory I saw away from home. Luckily, I have seen a few draws, even this season at Brighton and Palace, but wins are as rare as hens teeth. Wouldn't it be great to shock Manure on Saturday, even with a draw.

Finlay Clark I said regardless of our home form. For example, we are currently having the 8th best home record in the Premier League, but we are 19th on away record (only Sheffield are worse, but Burnley, Luton, Forest etc. all have a better away record than us). Our only away win was the first match of the season back in August and it was a tight 1-0 steal at Everton, which is pathetic.

When we were in the top League for 13 years we rarely won more than 3 away games per season. During lockdown when there we no spectators were present the home advantage almost vanished. It is obviously a physiological problem, it could be the managers fault if he over-envisages the importance of winning at home meaning the players feel it is not so vital to win away.

Seven away wins last season in the PL not a bad return, in fact it's a record for us in the PL. Our support at away grounds is good and they make a lot of noise. Southampton, another ground we didn't do well at, but we did last time with Vinni and Mitro scoring. This year we've squandered chances and messed up in some games and without a confident goalscorer, we've suffered.

Sorry to depress you guys but on a day off from work i have found a rare win ratio record in favour of Fulham against Utd and it was way back in 2003 and it was on a Saturday kick-off dinner time 25th oct, ref Michael Riley and we beat them 3-1. Scorers were Lee Clark and Steed Malbranque with a Saha assist and Junichi Inamoto and Steed Malbranque assist to make the score 3-1 to Fulham. Amazingly the crowd attendance was a huge 67,727 which was a decent crowd for that game. It is nice for me to dig that one out because i got into supporting Fulham around that time through players like Malbranque and Louis Saha who were a few of my favourite players to pick in my work fantasy football team way back then. What a player he was in Malbranque who was a clever and industrious player and he could hold and control a midfield, we just don't have that kind of player in our set-up these days and Saha was prolific what a gem of a player. France must have had a fantastic team back then because i don't even remember the likes of Malbranque being picked for the internationals. It would be a colossal change around and a amazing win away to Utd if we can tighten up take control and beat Man Utd. We don't have a Malbranque but we have Tom Cairney and the likes of Willian who will be industrious and inventive but we will have to tighten up in that midfield area. We need a back to his best Harrison Reed because i think Palinha is banned and he will need help from Bassey. Marco Silva wasn't best pleased with our sloppy performance and our players owe him and fans a better performance this weekend so i am hopeful. This game is not a deal breaker because we will have enough points to survive comfortably but it would be nice to win this one away for the record and it is a record that we want to change to a winning one finally...

I am very much in agreement with you Paddy but we need something from our team and it is internal. We need a performance from our boys because we were soft, we were sloppy and our manager seconds that. Man Utd they have their problems and a few injuries. Put it this way, if Wolves can beat them?

I assume Fulham are going to win every game and have a little flutter accordingly. However, I will say both Fulham and Man Ure have a habit of putting their fans through the mill and it depends which of either team bothers to show up. It could be 6-1, 2-2, 1-2, 2-4 but I reckon the most likely result is looking like 0-0 as neither team could score in a Benghazi brothel. So I’m going for the seven goal 3-4 thriller and first on MOTD, although I never watch it, I’m just thinking of you Saturday night early birds climbing their big crisp bed with their big crisp missus.

The players of the top teams learn to largely shut out the noise an emotion emanating from away supporters. Perhaps that is what makes a top player. The other factor last season we used a limited no of players, this season we have a lot more injuries and other factors have meant many enforced team changes, which is.

Harris attacking midfield on loan at Exeter. No goals or assist in 9 games to date. Paulina defensive midfield. Harris would not even be a like for like replacement if Tom Cairney retired as Harris not technically strong enough on the ball. Harris is a fox in the box picks up scraps in the box to score like he does in the U21s but has struggled to make an impact at league one Exeter despite starting every game to date

Marco can’t trust Harris he had him sitting on the bench for the last six games of last season when we were safe in 10th place. He sent him to Exeter simply to get some initial experience in men’s football. I just can’t see him being a premier league player. Stansfield has a better chance technically more gifted than Harris

Sorry, Sam' i don't know enough about him to make a fair comment. I can't get down to Craven Cottage as much as i would like to. With this post being titled Luke being a replacement for Palhinha i am curious to know if Harris is a tough tackler because i understand that he is an attacking midfielder. Currently, we have attacking defenders etc which is all well and good but we struggle to plug gaps in midfield on the counter which is a problem. I spoke about Joachim Andersen who in my opinion is the sort of defender we need but we won't get him. And if Palinha goes, we will need more of a defensive midfielder or even one that can attack and defend. You guys also have to remember that the midfield area is a way big responsibility for a young guy like Luke Harris and that is maybe the reason why he is overlooked.

Most of our players are very ordinary but Marco Silver is getting them all to play at their best. If Harris is as good as you think he is he would playing. In the life of our Academy we have hardly produced any players good enough to play in our first team. It it not mistake by our various managers it is fact. As I have said before we as based in a City full of top Premier League team who will pick up the best young players, we have what is left.

Even if he scored 2 hattricks every week, they will still say that it is at Championship level so you won't win. I am in agreement with you about Fabio and i think he is a fabulous player who can only improve in the right team and that doesn't include a top team because they want instant success and gratification and sometimes young players need more time. I don't exactly know how to describe our club and why it works for young and old who come here. It is quaint it has a beautiful history and every player that comes and goes always has fond memories of Fulham. It is interesting to know if the likes of Mitrovic is rueing the day he left here or even Solomon etc. The one thing we don't do here is second chances and if we did and we could, i would have Fabio Sess and Mitrovic back as fast as you can say 'Billy Wizz' and the tricky Kebano who would have been the extra option that is effective...

It is good that Muniz has started to score regularly but we need midfielders who regularly score goals as well. None of our midfielders do that or look capable of doing it. We should be safe this season but we must look to get players in the team in the summer who score goals from the midfield or the back.

As we speak Gareth Southgate is weighing up a call-up for Harrison Reed, you couldn't make this up. Don't get me wrong, i am happy for Reed and it will be something to be proud of if he gets the call-up. In the meantime our midfield is over-run and there are large gaps that the opposition exploits and we saw this again and again against Villa. I see your point about midfielders chipping in with goals and it isn't happening unless Willian scores a special and that is not happening every week. What's not to like? We create chances as Southgate can see but we don't capitalize and take advantage of them. I am not sure if Southgate has fast-forward the film and see that our midfielders are struggling and scrambling to get back on the counter. This is why Leno is exposed often and our defence comes under much more unnecessary pressure. For the percentage of chances created, there should be more goals and the last time a goal was scored from anybody but a striker it was Ream and he was offside. This is woeful stats and a few details needs addressing such as shooting accuracy and i should say the lack of it. Robinson is starting to get the message about needing to load the box more often for the strikers but he still isn't accurate enough. I think that the last decent goal Traore scored believe it or not was against us back in the Championship and it was the winner for Wolves. Traore's effort against Villa was a certain goal if the likes of Henry put his foot on it past-wise. Wilson and Pereira we know what they are about and what they are capable of but still no joy. Dec Reed is no better either and he is up front. We are losing football games because we don't take our chances in a nutshell and i think that Marco Silva needs to have more than a word about the situation...

Fulham vice-chairmain Tony Khan has told talkSPORT the club would consider any offers that ‘make sense’ for Joao Palhinha. The Cottagers chief has hailed the midfielder as a core part of Marco Silva’s team and a ‘huge’ part of the club, but admits any player is for sale for the right price.
Replies
This is why the Luke Harris rumours back in September 2022 where Chelsea were looking to buy a 17 year old who had never played first team football at that time were total nonsense. Tony Khan would have snapped their hands off for 30 million pounds had it been true. The kid did well out of it though long term contract on big wages with a new powerful agent that helped secure the deal. Players can’t go wrong financially in the premier league even at academy level

There is all this talk about centre-backs at the moment and as good as we think Tosin is, i still think that Joachim Andersen is the better buy for Fulham. My reservations about Tosin is his loyalty and whether will he stay or not for starters. Tosin is a range-tall type of centre-back and he is just right and primed for the modern game and he likes to roam forward and he is imposing around set pieces. Andersen in my opinion is a different type of centre-back and he would be better for us Fulham because i think that we have too many defenders that can cause calamities on a bad day. You name Robinson is marauding and devastating in pace and brilliant going forward but somewhat exposed and suspect to the more trickier forwards, we saw that against Bailey against Villa. I could stand here and pick faults with all our defenders and they have their good days and bad which is why we are so vulnerable from time to time. I doubt that we will be in a position to poach Andersen who Palace purchased for 17.5 million which was a bargain in today's market. It was unfortunate that we got relegated leaving Andersen to seek out other moves. Maybe Palace is now on a free-fall after Roy gone and if they are relegated we might have a chance to steal him back. I very much doubt that they will on 25 points with plenty of games left. We have plenty of fullbacks who are flighty and great going forward for the modern game but we still need a centre-back more suited to the dogfight and more defensive-minded in approach. Palhinha is a tackler in the middle of the park yet we still are too open down the middle...
Replies
Why would Palace even consider selling him. What is a loyal player, they went out when agents started controlling them and telling constantly they could make more money elsewhere.

Our problem this season is that our best CB pairing by far has rarely started matches together. Four December wins - two 5-0s, a home win vs Arsenal, the Carabao shootout win at Everton - with that pairing. Only two losses with them in the XI. Diop and Ream are error prone and too soft. We’d be several places higher up the table with these two healthy.
Replies
Agree it would be nice to see them together more often, but i am not convinced that Tosin and heart is always here or will be here? Tosin is an imposing figure especially when he comes forward to set-pieces. I think it was the 2-2 Burnley game when he showed to his best a well-dominated and thunderous header that was tipped over the bar. Tosin on a bad day can look just as bad as Ream and Diop and i think they all have their moments. We were 2-0 up against Burnley away in the first half and apart from the Tosin header i didn't think that he played his brilliant best in his defensive duties.
posted by OWEN - Tuesday 20th February 2024, 12:53 AM

If his heart is not with us he still looks streets better than Diop and Ream. Against fast forwards they are lost. Toshin and Bassey have proved our class pair so play them. Use what you have now and get the best out of them.

If that’s the case then maybe Hayden Mullins needs to dust down his boots and get on the pitch to play for the U21s so they can learn from him and Jack Wilshire the coach at Arsenal should do the same

If it would aid their development then yes. Huddlestone is one of the best strikers of a football there is. I doubt there’s many players, regardless of their age, who couldn’t learn from him.

There's not a week go past without a championship manager getting the sack. Latest being Bham and Sunderland. I wonder what sort of contracts these managers have. Surely unlike Chelsea, they can't be paying off these managers over and over again. I am wondering if these managers were so desperate to get a championship role (the reward if you do well is massive) that their contract can be terminated with very little compensation. Surely Bham can't be paying 3 or 4 managers salaries. I do wonder. Just curious?!

The Championship mangers are all equally useless, why so many of the teams who get promoted, replace the Championship level players but forget to replace the manager and get relegated. When we got Marco his English experience was Premier League and he got us playing like a PL team the reason we dominated the Championship. Horses for courses.

The real archbishop. what are you rambling on about, I have more chance of winning the jackpot on the lottery, and that's no chance, than Fulham being relegated this season, as we only need at the most 3 more wins now, as Burnley and Sheffield United are as good as down already, so there is only one place left to fill, and it won't be us. Relax, and enjoy the rest of the season, and then contemplate, as to who we will buy to boost our squad for next seasons assault on the Premier League.

I tend to agree with Alan B, but nothing is impossible in football, but I reckon that we still need 3 more wins, and if we can't manage that against Brighton, Palace, Spurs and Newcastle at home, and Brentford, Sheffield United. Nottingham Forest and Luton away, then we wouldn't deserve to stay up. Now that we have a pretty fit squad, we could even surprise other better placed teams that I haven't mentioned.

Exeter fans have caught on that Harris “promised” to bring goals for Exeter. They have highlighted this chance from edge of 6 yard box where he completely misses the ball at the end of the game to equalise. Nine games in no goals no assists and is playing every game from the start. Bottom of table Fleetwood next week he will be desperate to get off the mark https://youtu.be/-jg-3JIYocU?si=IfRpEEJWZDSrwzFY

Mick it appears Tyrese Francois who will be 24 in July just like for Fulham is warming the bench on his loan transfer. It will be incredible if Fulham extend his contract again when it expires in the Summer. He warmed the bench for Fulham’s senior side barely saw any minutes, played the odd game here and there for the U21s and now warming the bench in Denmark. Premier league clubs for some reason just extend these youngsters contracts without playing them what’s the point in that ?
Replies
I am sure we are hoping he plays well for them and we can get good money from his sale. Remember the adult players who came through the academy when we were Championship team and the kids who would join us would have little expectation to become Premier League players.

Sorry guys' i still think Rodak is nowhere near the same class as Leno. In this case, buy Bosch, you are buying quality. Buy Hotpoint and you buy again and again. That's what i tell my missus. Basically Leno is miles out of site better than Rodak. If anyone hasn't noticed lately, our defence isn't the most helpful to Leno and equally our forward line isn't the greatest help to our defences. More chances taken equals more goals that would ease the strain and so forth...

Anyone who follows football is aware Ollie Watkins was a prolific goal scorer and this has continued at Aston Villa resulting in Southgate selecting, him for England. Today, Watkins had the ball in the net albeit from an offside position. This should have rung alarm bells in the camp and surely he needed to be marked far more closely than he was. However, the first thing that struck me was the way Villa retained the ball and seldom made a bad pass which more than once set up chances for their mobile forwards. We did have a number of chances but failed to capitalise on them mainly due to sloppy final passes. I have no wish to be over critical of the team but De Cordova-Reid contributed little for the and Palhinha appeared off the pace. Initially I failed to recognise Robinson now he has opted for a crew cut and this might have made him slightly light headed or alternatively, like Samson his strength had been taken away from him. However, Fulham did make at fight of it with Muniz once again scoring a goal with a clinical finish. With a bit more composure he might of replicated his double of last week. This brings me to the question of will this result in Broja becoming an expensive bench warmer. On a more positive note it must be remembered Villa have moved into the top four of the Premier and I disagree with posters making puerile comments stating we will not win any more matches or how the Premier is so poor. However, I do believe Marco Silva is too rigid and needs to become more flexible in Team selection and the use of substitutes.
Replies
Agree Ollie Watkins is in a rich vein of goal scoring form Bigboy, but we were equally sloppy just as Marco is saying. We make the boy look good and the two goals could have been avoided if only we had defended properly. At this level i expect someone like Watkins to take full advantage and score from those chances and equally so us with our chances just as much as theirs but we didn't and that is the difference at this level. Marco says we were sloppy and he rightly had a go at our boys today. We can do better and we should not be phased by Man Utd i think is up next? We need a reaction and a good one from our slackers all round. I loved to see Iwobi and Bassey back in the fold but i think that we should have had enough in our locker to give those guys at least a week of because they deserve it but not to be. I think they owe the fans and Marco a good one whoever is next up... Keep on Fulhaming!!!!!!!!
