I'm sick of hearing Mitro doesn't fit our style of play anymore. Exactly what style is that? The style of play that scores no goals. Of course he doesn't fit into it, he scores goals. Play him and he will score 10 before the season is over.

Correct, lacks sufficient mobility.

Chris, we are are playing a false nine, Mitro is certainly not a false nine

False or not he would have buried our golden chance Saturday and possibly changed the course of the game

As Mitro was not even on the bench on Saturday, he must be either injured still, or is slowly recovering from the virus, because not even Scotty would leave a fit Mitro off of the bench if he was available. I just wish that the club would put us in the picture with regard to the situation involving Mitro, as we really need him in our team now, and if not, we want to know the reason why.

AC I agree 100% Fulham need to let us know what is the problem with Mitro!! our only recognised Striker. And to the to fat & slow brigade he knows how to score GOALS!!! Which we lack...

The point is Will, that without a playmaker in the team to work that ball through the midfield to his feet, he will be ineffective except for set pieces floated into the box.
We play fast counter attacking football down the wings now and the game will pass him by. This is why he was not effective at Newcastle and why they let him go.
How many teams with young modern managers play with an old fashioned number nine these days? It is only Warnock, Allardyce and the like that still persevere with this way of playing. If the game and the tactics did not develop and move on, we would still be playing a 2-3-5 formation.
Personally, I like the way we play now. We are more solid in defence and more exciting to watch. Mitro will slow us down and is like sacrificing a player when he plays as he is not mobile enough. Asa previously indicated, we need a mobile false number nine who can take the ball on the run and keep up with the wingers. Someone in the style of Salah for example.

MST, oh for the days of 2-3-5 which I could understand,as todays formations have me baffled at times, in fact all of the time. When commentators say that they say that the team have changed their formations from one set of numbers like 4-4-2 to 5-2-3 and such like, I must be honest and say that I can't tell one set of numbers from the other, there are 10 v 10 outfield players as far as I am concerned, maybe my old brain can't work it out. However I do agree with AC and Will, inasmuch that Mitro should be in our line up, if we don't sign another striker pronto, and even if we do he should be way ahead of Kamara. You don't score 26 goals in one season, and then suddenly become a bad player, especially as to a certain extent he still has youth on his side. Hands up all of those who think he should be playing.

To be honest Mitro will score goals if he is told to play in the final third of the pitch. He is very good at defending corners and set pieces, if we win the ball from a corner against us and the ball is played out wide Mitro can’t catch up. Get him a strike partner and he will produce. Cav and Kamara are not the answer.

Mitro took a knock late on against bitters !!! Could be available for manu if he is PLAY HIM not in championship now. Where we can cobble around. We need a recognised striker if not mitro then a replacement give him a start

Unfortunately Mitro doesn’t look fit also really low on confidence, most of the matches I’ve seen him in this season he gives the ball away too cheaply would love to see him hit a bit of form but question weather he’s up to it.

Mitro at his best is a better than average Championship player, and lets face it who will give this sluggish overweight slow git 60k per week on a 2/3 yr contract
