As it appears we will be restarting our matches in the near future. IF we did manage to rejoin the Premier league are we now in a position to stay there or would we simply finish well adrift as of the last time and get hammered by all and sundry ?
There is no , yes or no answer unless you can see into future. We have as good a chance as any , remember last time some were saying top ten because we spent loads of money. Sheffield Utd certs to go down this season, funny old game

Think the khans will Learn from their mistakes. My Main concern is Parker being out of his depth. His football has hardly ‘clicked’ this season. Another year in the championship would suit him nicely.

A woman goes to the doctors and when she goes into the consulting room the doctor holds his nose and opens the window. What's your problem Mrs Brown enquires the doctor? Mrs brown tells the doctor that she keeps breaking wind but the good thing is my farts are silent and are not smelly. The doctor gulps and prescribes tablets and tells Mrs Brown that they should resolve the problem. He then tells her to come back in two weeks time and that he would sort out her hearing.

After 3 weeks of self imposed withdrawal from this board: A penguin takes his car to the shop and the mechanic says it'll take about an hour for him to check it. While he waits, the penguin goes to an ice cream shop and orders a big sundae to pass the time. The penguin isn't the neatest eater, and he ends up covered in melted ice cream. When he returns to the shop, the mechanic takes one look at him and says, "Looks like you blew a seal." "No," said the penguin "it's just ice cream."

Following confirmation from the EFL that while all parties remain committed to fulfilling the remaining fixtures of the 2019/20 season since the campaign was paused on 13th March owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, when matches do resume these will be played without crowds and behind closed doors.

Further information can now be provided to supporters who have purchased tickets or hospitality packages for the outstanding 2019/20 matches at Craven Cottage or previously scheduled away fixtures.

General Admission - Automatic Refunds Process

We do not require you to send in your match ticket(s).

From Wednesday 3rd June the Ticket Office will automatically process full refunds (including booking fees) for match ticket purchases for Fulham's final four home fixtures, away games against Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers, as well as official coach travel bookers, back to the original credit/debit card used for payment.

For those supporters who purchased tickets paying cash, a bank transfer refund will be arranged by our accounts team – those who paid by cash will be contacted by the Fulham Ticket Office in the coming days.

Those supporters who purchased in person at the Fulham Ticket Office by credit/debit card using a PDQ (chip & pin) machine, the Ticket Office will also contact direct to obtain your full card details, to arrange the refund. Please be advised we will require you to provide your full card details.

We politely request that at this busy time fans do not contact the Fulham Ticket Office directly and, if applicable to your situation, wait to be contacted. We aim to complete this process within two weeks and supporters are advised refunds may take up to fourteen (14) working days to appear back in your account.

Match-by-Match Hospitality Purchasers

As above, we do not require fans to send in their match ticket(s). From Tuesday 2nd June the hospitality team will contact each individual purchaser, to discuss both credit and refund options.

Donations to Fulham FC Foundation

During this difficult time Fulham FC Foundation has and will continue to support the local community with a variety of initiatives in areas of health, wellbeing and inclusion.

If you would instead wish to donate your refund to Fulham FC Foundation, you can do so by emailing the Ticket Office via tickets@fulhamfc.com by 5pm on Tuesday 2nd June. Please provide your Client Reference number and state which game refund you wish to donate. Your donation will help support the most vulnerable.

More information regarding the next steps for 2019/20 Season Tickets and Seasonal Hospitality packages will be communicated in due course.

We thank supporters for their understanding, patience and continued support. The Club acknowledges that the health and wellbeing of our players, fans and staff is of paramount importance and respects the decisions of the EFL and governing bodies.

Note the three words "season ticket holders".

I hope one or two of you can also do the same - even just one of the remaining matches. Some of you probably wouldn't miss the refund and you will likely get a chance to watch the game anyway. So let's kick of the week being generous! Think of the vulnerable kids!

A couple of people have raised the question about players coming back from the C-19 lockdown and the issues therein i.e. fitness levels. I think we may benefit from this unexpected break, because our most important player (Mitro) struggles towards the back end of the season and therefore may come back recharged and sharper than what he would have been if the season had gone to schedule. Can’t help feel that the same may apply to Knockaert
I was having a chat with a die hard Leeds fan yesterday who told me any home adavntage for them has been totally lost when they play us. 35,000 home fans would be an intimidating atmaosphere, zero fans is a very different propsect.

All comes down to Parker. In rewatching the Derby and Villa matches, AK’s impact is undeniable. He has improved since then, and needs to start in the coming matches. He was good enough for Slav to start him at Wembley. Knockaert hasn’t delivered, Cav has been up and down. Bobby Reid has a high work rate, really fights for the team. TC pulls the strings, and then it’s about the others. Onomah can’t start, based on contribution to date, so then it’s Arter, StefJo, KMac, Harrison Reed. I like Arter and StefJo - both battlers, both two-way players. We’ll see who Parker likes, hasn’t been consistent all season.

MW, hope your well mate. With this virus on everyone’s Mind at the moment it’s good to have forum to chat with fellow fans about what’s going on in the world. There will always be different opinions. On this board now an opinion is considered to be, by certain posters an insult. Again it’s an opinion if some posters think a comment made is ok and others don’t, it’s an opinion. I for one will not be drawn into an argument to back someone’s opinions if I think they are right or not. At this time our task is to make sure we are all well. This board does give people a bit of respite from what is going on at the moment, so hopefully this will be recognised by some posters and allow fellow fans to take their minds off of the chaos in the world at this time. Stay well all Football fans, Stay wee world.

For what it is worth I think David read something that annoyed him so complained and was ignored then goaded which really got him angry. I do not see why the few that try to get him going with one even pretending to be him get out of it. We are Fulham supporters, we want to read any news or views on here so why goad someone, in this case David. I do not live in or for this board but I will delete these insults as I see them.

Baz. Do what you want with this thread. It is clearly designed to not only provoke a reaction from me but also all the anti-daviders. I can however take a few nasty words though if it means your commitment to tidying up the discrimination on this messageboard remains. However, I will also Likely answer back. Imp 2 did all you pleasure come from Discrimination and calling me names, no? Then I haven’t destroyed all the pleasure taken from this site. Yes? Then you are on the wrong site, it’s for Fulham.

Baz you are a star and a good bloke, I’m impressed with your perseverance . As you will know I have/ had been a contributor on this site for maybe 20/25 years or so. I regret that I have been reduced to a very occasional observer, just to see if there is any interesting Fulham gossip doing the rounds. Every time I log on it’s invariably David or one of his aliases having a verbal punchup with someone or the other. I’m not the only contributor who has given up with the site due to its decline into pseudo political correctness and the right of lunatics to complain about anything that they disagree with. David, Tim, Timmy etc etc have highjacked the forum for their own ends and have genuinely destroyed a lot of people’s enjoyment. I admire your commitment to getting everyone to respect and be tolerant of others views. I regret to say that until the site owners can find a way to exclude people like David, who have very specific agendas, you’ve got no chance. Freedom of speech died when David and his ilk got a computer. Said my bit, wish you well, and all of the genuine Fulham faithful, hope you can resolve the problem, if you don’t there ain’t no point.

I am one of the fans that left this board, we always had a few weird posters but this is ridiculous. I know that there was always something interesting on this board, now it’s all about one person. I appreciate what Baz is trying to do but cannot see him being successful. I have watched Fulham all my life and have heard players, managers and fans using colourful language and name calling during every match. Football will always be the same. I have no time for racist or homophobic posts or anything else that discriminates people. I must add that because of one poster this board is ruined. I would make everyone become a member, every member to face suspension for discriminatory posts and barred if they persist. The Moderators should decide what they consider to justify suspensions or barring and not the posters. My advice is NEVER answer any of his postings. He can then post to one of his alter egos.
posted by Gaz - Sunday 31st May 2020, 4:35 PM
Your'e right Gaz just ignore him. Trouble is, he answers himself then others think it's a real discussion and join in. Until this board is made registered posters only, idiots will always have the chance to mess things up.

I think, not sure, that we have peace again, any post that is trying to stir trouble, and by that I mean trying to upset David and start all this unpleasantness again will be deleted. We are all Fulham supporters so support each other.
I think I have deleted all the offensive posts, point out any I may have missed (I am not going to delete Ari's post, I do not see anything wroong with it). For this board to work we cannot have posts designed to offend or to make the board unworkable. We are all Fulham supporters, I do not like to delete but I must have deleted 50% of everything I have ever deleted today. Sadly you delete good post. For example you do not appear to know that the crash barriers at the Cottage in the 1960s were the round type which were all replaced as they had a habit of breaking. I took the girl who became my wife to Chelsea v Arsenal in 1978 as she was then a Chelsea Supporter. I stood with the Arsenal Fans as my family came from that part of London. The shed attacked the Arsenal Fans at the other end. The round crash barriers broke in the battle and we were nearly killed. We left at half time and just could the end of a Fulham reserve game at the Cottage. We got a name Fulham Fan that day and I have never been back to Stamford Bridge since nor will I ever.

Whoever came up with the idea that David Luiz is a centreback and a competent one at that, in my opinion, is completely bonkers! Now if you ask me the million-dollar question, can David Luiz fit in and do a job for Fulham? My answer would be a resounding yes! and please can we sign him now! Luiz at 33 could find himself surplus to requirements at Arsenal down the road and i think that he could be shipped out of the Gooners this term ending the virus. Why Luiz i can hear that question ask? I just think that we need another big Character at Fulham other than Mitrovic and one with a mouth-piece if that makes sense? Let's face facts here, we are a team that likes to play with flair and panache right, albeit a Fulham team that carries a flawed gene-poll for lacks of concentration, that is Fulham through and through. David Luiz can fit in around Hector on our right side of the defense and we needn't get rid of Christie. Luiz at 33 could not possibly play all Championship games or hopefully Premiership ones because of his age and he has other interests to keep him occupied like 'er' his Restaurant businesses. Luiz has won everything in his career that is satisfactory to him and his ego, but there could be one last hooray with Fulham. Let's face it folks' Fulham has always done well with accomodating big characters over the years and characters that have the ability to lift our game. We lack a mouthpiece in Tom Cairney as our captain at the moment, and we can do better with someone at the back that can complement our excellent but ever so quiet center-back, Hector. If David Luiz is up on a freebie at end of term whenever that is, we should go-go get the man! Come on guy's' let's get our Fulham a lot more vocal and playing with a lot more flair and panache. If we truly are the entertainers like the song say's, David Luiz is our man... COME ON YE FULHAM!!!!!!!!
Talk he wants to go to Benfica get your point lm not sure something about him

David, just take a step back and give a bit of time, you are fighting (online) with fellow supporters, why. I can understand that you feel a need to defend yourself but if you look back no one has really been beastly to you, a few sharp comments maybe but that is life, that will always happen and although it annoys us there is not much we can do about it. There is not much to gain from annoying everyone-as a fellow Fulham supporter we are on your side but you are pushing us away, if people want to disagree or even take the mickey just wear it and give it back but don't keep on and on, one sharp comment will make people think while nagging never works, take my word on it. Peace?
posted by Baz (Moderator) - Saturday 30th May 2020, 4:41 PM
Baz, I don't know how to respond because you have threatened me with deleting everything I write, yet these 'few beastly comments' are continuing. I'm being called a little rat and horrible homophobic jokes are being made on Chris' thread above to provoke me- even chris is offended. You have DMK asking you to remove Arizonians post, agreeing that it was unpleasant. And you are deleting comments from posters who aren't me because you misidentified them. You have told me im throwing a tantrum for standing up against discrimination and then been shocked when i called you patronising. As far as I'm aware, I've always been decent and respectful to you. So again I ask you, is it appropriate to have a post up still that says 'poofs arent welcome at fulham'. All I ask is that you consider the other half of this board who agree with me (i am not multiple monikers believe it or not) and moderate in a way that is more inclusive - we are a family club after all. Then we can have peace.

David, I am not going to delete Ari’s post, there is nothing offensive in it that I can see. I am not your parents who will give up to your tantrums. If you think adults will give into your tantrums then you will have a disappointing life. You are not being bullied on this site; in fact you are the one doing the bully thing by trying to ruin it for everyone unless you get your own way. Most of the guy’s on here grew up when bullying was real and nasty, not just words and your remarks are offensive to them. You seem sensitive to your sexuality, is it that you are not sure or do you feel bad, maybe you should see a councillor. Believe it or not I am trying to help you David, this is my advice to you.
Not asking you to be a parent. asking you to be a moderator. There is no need to be patronising. Let me ask you this. Had you deleted Aris post, would we or would we not be discussing Fulham right now? If his post had been deleted, would we be seeing people comment things such as 'Poofs are not welcome at Fulham'? You see the normalisation of this behaviour allows it to grow. It's not me that is ruining it for everyone. There is one way to make sure everyone is happy, and that is to only have conversations around Football. That's what this forum is for, not for Ari to discriminate in public. It's a shame that you felt the need to jump on the bandwagon, I always respected your level-headed responses and actually had no issues with you.

Looks like Premier league will definite restart therefore, championship is likely to follow. Whether the games will be played in home grounds with empty stadium or in neutral grounds, Fulham probably have some luck here in that they would have been playing away to West Brom, Leeds, Forest and QPR - all with relatively hostile fans. Our biggest factor maybe a fully fit squad! Bryan. Mawson. Arter. Christie. Cairney. Mitro. We will be playing 2 games a week for 5-6 weeks! If everyone is fit - we will have an advantage on all teams, including Leeds!

Mawson first game back John? Along with his fitness, also a mistake in him. Christie seems to have found a new zest for life after sitting on the bench for so long. Christie knows that he must bring his 'A' game to the table...

By the time the first ball is kicked in the league's resumption, the teams will not have played competitively for over 3 months. This break is longer than the normal summer break including pre-season matches. We will be going into these full blown matches relatively cold without the usual pre-season warm up. we tend to start our campaigns slowly and our starting match against B'ford is going to be tough. We have got to hit the ground running being strong and competitive and can not sit back and rely on playing our pretty style of football to see us through.

I believe the possibility of neutral stadiums was for local derbies. they don't want rival fans congregating outside the grounds. Liverpool v Everton has already been suggested.. This could possibly include our games with Brentford and QPR. I doubt Fulham fans will want to travel to Leeds or West Brom to stand outside the stadium.

From BBC website about 10 minutes ago. "What does the law say on leaving your main home? Reality Check Dominic Cummings defended his actions, saying: “The legal rules do not cover all circumstances including those that I found myself in”. So, what do they say? The law that police were enforcing at the time Mr Cummings drove to Durham is the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020. It says: “During the emergency period, no person may leave the place where they are living without reasonable excuse.” It then lists a series of reasonable excuses: To obtain basic necessities like food or medicine; to take exercise; to seek medical assistance; to provide care or assistance to a vulnerable person; to donate blood; to travel for the purposes of work or to provide voluntary or charitable services; to attend a funeral of a household member or close family member; to access critical public services; for access arrangements with a child who does not live with one or both parents; for a religious minister to visit their place of worship; to move house where reasonably necessary; to avoid injury or illness or to escape a risk of harm. It’s important to stress that, before the list, it says “a reasonable excuse includes the need”. So the list is not exhaustive - a reasonable excuse might arguably be something that is not on it. It is also important to make a distinction between the law and the guidelines drawn up by the government."
It was quite obvious that he was and always will be satisfied that in his mind he did nothing wrong. One thing he surely can't justify is going for a half hours drive to make sure his eyesight was ok for the drive back home.!!!! At least it's original, so if you are stopped by the old bill whilst out driving you know what to say

Where i live the authorities do not give a hoot about social distancing. I think they broke up one party and publicized it and that is about as far as they went. 2 motorbikes where confiscated apparently and i don't know how the poor chaps got to where they were going? I think that happened in one of the posher areas of town. England is a far more darker place when neighbors grass on each other, i find it shocking. It seems to happen in the more affluent areas surprisingly. The most important detail we need to see to now is work! Peddle to the meddle is needed now and anyone ready and able for work is needed. I don't know how talented Dominic Cummings is to Boris? Put it this way, if he was Mitrovic, there is no way i would even consider sacking him. Then again i am talking football and i suppose it is debatable if football is a job. That Scottish minister sacked one of hers and i guess she was replaceable and not talented enough for Scotland...

BillyBee, people were breaking the rules from the very start of this lockdown and much worse than Cummings. People where i live held parties and some were well documented in the news. We have the community police who allegedly do not have any powers whatsoever and they do their best to break up groups of people from the beginning of the virus but to no avail. Sadly these guys have given up the ghost around the area. Let's just say that some communities socialize openly with family and friends. There are no arrest whatsoever, maybe because the authorities don't care about certain folks? The jails would be so full the authorities wouldn't be able to keep the lights on in the jails? I consider myself working class but i couldn't vote for the idiot's brigade under labour. I turned and voted for Boris this time around. Cummings is maybe a little arrogant but he would i would say be a touch treated unfairly judging from what i have observed. Things will go one of two ways after this with labour gaining more votes from the so called unpopular Boris who they say is useless, or Boris could gain more votes in popularity and surprise a few people who hate him. Firstly i believe in God and i vote consevatives. My council house is paid for thanks to the help of the good Lord. Maggie Thathcher encouraged me to do that. I wish Cummings the best because many more people have behaved badly under this lockdown more so than him. There has always been rich and poor in this world from biblical times and that is the way how the cookie is. Corbyn's dream of destroying the rich and everybody equal will never happen. There has always been Kings, Master of the house, servants, etc. Let us all accept that and move on because there is much work to be done. Lets all get back to work and maybe we will have some football and Fulham again.

More importantly can someone tell me the latest on Fulham long term injured players?
posted by Oz Nick (Guest) - Wednesday 27th May 2020, 3:58 AM
The new Fulham setup under the Khans keeps injury news very quiet. Never much info about recovery expectations etc but would hope most the team is fit after this break. Alfie Mawson is made of glass - that i know for sure - and I wouldn't expect to see him in a Fulham shirt very often. £20m well spent.

I agree guy's that Cummings should have stepped up in the honesty stakes but right from the start in my hometown Derby, folks have broken the rules concerning lockdown. Our local police don't seem to care. Where i live they send out more community police on the beat to sort of look the part. Community police don't have the full powers and they do their best to encourage people to stay off the streets and not congregate together socially. I am not posh or affluent or anything like that but it seems like the posh people are getting the full force of the law concerning this virus. Matlock Bikers singled out is different. 2

It seems a possibility that we may see an agreement within the next two weeks to play the remaining games, and deciding promotion as per usual the first two and a playoff. What worries me is that i think there are 4 players in our team that are basically lazy, and this layoff would have not done them any good in regard to fitness or our chances of either guaranteed promotion or playoff success. OK this is only my opinion which is based on watching training sessions, any other thoughts relating to.

Signed first pro deal time will tell but looks class act and I will get shot down for this more mobile than ORiley hope both make it
Great player and glad he has signed..to compare him with Matt is not relevant. Fabio is more Pat Roberts and Ive seen him many times..Fabio is a class player and stronger than people would think..his greatest asset is he reads the game better than most..however..if I was Tony Kahn the MOR is a player who is unique..6 foot 3 but runs faster than most (Little guys look faster) ..dictates the tempo of the game and stats back that up..U23's chances created ..he had more than rest of team last season..Can play Deep or offensive and in his games with the first team games has been in top 2-3 outfield players..and he's 19 which is v young for a CM..Both great but teams are built around MOR's..Also a concern Fabio only has a 2 year deal..

Was interested in O'Reilly as apparently a couple of clubs over here were interested..Saw a article in the athletic and even Harry Arter is raving about him..says he's the guy who seems to be fitter than anyone..only seen him on video and once on a game but he seems the real deal..hope he stays..I would say the reason a lot of the good ones and why they leave..the club just go out and but players..FFC are the Man City of the championship so its tough for these guys when they take Schurle on loan at 5m a year then spend 50m on players they loan out..what message is that to player??

Whenever I’ve seen Matt o Reilly play he’s certainly talented but looks too slow for the championship let alone top flight. It’s not only about talent it’s more about nerves ,confidence ,injuries and more importantly a slice of luck, seen so many young players who look world beaters but never make it.

The likes of Sean Davis probably would not have made it in todays game. Circumstances fell in his favor, he was fortune to come into a struggling side in the old 4th division and was good enough to prove his worth in every division he played for us. Today, I doubt he would have been given the chance and like Matt O'Reilly, find it difficult to break into and stay in the first team. I feel sorry for our young talent when the Club pays millions for over rated, over paid garbage like the Knockaerts of this World.

Ive been watching MOR for last two years..abroad the only real stats and views you get are first team and some of the trpohy games. Of the ones e have stats on him he covers more K thna virtually anyone. He also created more chances and key passes than anyone when playing forward. Versus SOuthampton this year he was viewed as the best outfield player. SO I thinkhe is so very different from the others..also athleticism?? Ive seen his stats and his coverage. He is fast strong and covers ground more than most. Because his height makes people think he's slow. If ever you get the chance wacth him nail Redmond from soton in a chase from one end to the other.. I think he will stay and be intergral if he gets a chance..if not then he will in demand but my gut says he wants to do it at Fulham..shame if he doesnt get the chance. Personally think he is better than Sessegnons Roberts and any of the others. It just is harder for CM's to get the break a

Bloke walks into a pub and asks for a pint of anything but Stella.

What's wrong with Stella? asks the barman.
I had 12 pints of Stella last night and when I came around I was F*cking skint!
Barman says, 12 pints of anything will cost you about the same though.
Bloke replies, Skint is my dog!
A chap was sitting at a bar, and he noticed that the barmaid opened a bottle of cider, and put her finer in it. Out of curiosity the chap said, what did you do that for. Well, the barmaid said, I was doing some sewing, and I suddenly pricked my finger, and I always remember my sister saying that, every time she had a prick in her hand, so immediately put in cider ! !

You just shot my waiter and you didn’t pay for your sandwich!” The panda yells back at the manager, “Hey man, I am a PANDA! I for one was banging on about Marek Rodek over a year ago and why he should be given a chance, well he eventually got it and what a revelation he has been, well another of my predictions was Cody Dramah a versatile left or right full back, along with jay Stansfield & Matt o'reilly. Well cutting things short it appears that young Cody is interesting Man City, Everton & Celtic but has never made our bench, does blinkered Parker never watch the talented youth on our door step especially in one of the positions we are weak in.
Don’t understand why your not manager

One Rodak even says he needed his two seasons on loan at Rotherham he’s in the side now must be happy signed 4 year deal praised Parker for giving him his chance and Betts for helping him Two Cody has promise that’s why clubs are looking at him not ready for first team Parker will know when he does watch the kids and has them training with first team. 3 fell Odio done better job for club than he gets credit for. Even Christie now playing better under Parker Steve Sessegnon started well but like Cody still leaning and had to be rested 4 if Cody goes to Man City be only for money will get less games than Roberts. As for Parker when he took over club was in a mes his respected in the game and are 3rd in table. Your right we have got some good kids that’s why clubs look at them, but you can’t put them all in at once you choose the right time like we did with Rodak
posted by DMK (Guest) - Friday 22nd May 2020, 6:48 PM
DMK' Kunye, i don't always agree with but he does make more training and reserve games than most fans. Rodak, i will give him that accolade, Kunye was raving on about him a long time before his debut. Cody i don't know anything about but concerning Christie? He will almost certainly revert back to type, Christie i think is still not good enough for the step-up to the prem. I agree that Christie is playing a lot better in our latter games because he must take his chance now he is so long on the bench. Christie must learn to deal with the trickier and clever forwards who will roll him silly each time he comes up against them. Fair enough, if we stay in the Championships Christie might cope with the best of them 7 times out of a 10? The Problem with christie is that he most certainly will need to bring his 'A' game to the table every match. Most half-decent players who are benched for so many games will bring it to the table but most certainly will revert back to type and thats Cyrus Christie in a nut-shell. I disagree DMK' Steve Sessegnon is poor and there is nothing special about him like his Brother. Steve Sess will never make a right-back, not a decent one anyway. Dennis Odoi is still our best option as a utility player and i think we are lucky to have him. Odoi can be a touch calamity because of his over exuberance but we can forgive him for that. Fulham fans should remember the special things that Odoi brings to the table for Fulham like the goal against Derby to make the play-offs. I agree that Odoi like Berbatov is sporadic and he does not do the good things enough ut he has a touch of class about him. Odoi can roll an opponent and make inroads towards goal and pick a pass which he has done in games, and i am still in awe of him for that ball of the back against Newcastle in our great victory so long ago now. Christie will need more improvement still if he to leave Fulham fans with memorable moments like Odoi has done. The jury is still out for me concerning Scott Parker. Give us a promotion like Slavisa did and then we can assess Parker. Slavisa didn't keep us in the prem, but howe of Bournemouth did not first time around. Howe got another chance through loyal Bournmouth people. Arizonan will probabely be on my case for putting him to sleep for my long post, so i will put an end to my 'er' manuscript now...
posted by OWEN (Guest) - Friday 22nd May 2020, 7:51 PM
Take your point with Christie Owen not good enough for prem but Parker improved him Odio makes mistakes never hides always gives 100 percent every club needs one, as for Berbatove lazy only thinks of himself one of main reasons we went down bad signing Cody’s ok could be good but is a right back swaps to left back with Fossey so both get a game but they don’t really look happy there but does them good. Hope Fossey still makes it been very unlucky with injury’s

Agreed Baz sitting in the Johnny Haynes stand is special like sitting in a piece of West London history. I miss standing up in the enclosure wandering around meeting old faces and listening to the banter.

I used to go to the enclosure for nearly all the games but have sat further back on the wooden seats since the plastic seats were built in the enclosure. From time to time I have tried every part of the ground including the Putney end just to see. I've never been in a box though.

My season ticket is situated roughly where I used to stand with my kids (now in their 30's) in the enclosure and I miss both.

The guy that its next to me has sat there since those seats were built and he stood next to me in the enclosure before that. We've spoken thousands of times but I only found out his name the season before last and now although we keep in touch via e-mail, I miss his company.

I used to stand initially in the Putney end in the 60’s. There was this mad Italian in a pork pie hat, who whenever we crossed the half way line would shout “ shoot !!” at the top of his voice. As far as I can recall, he never said anything else. Don’t get me started about the blke with the trumpet.....

Dont rate being in a box baz, to quiet, cant stand the haynes stand , never know how it passes fire risk, the depth of the steps to climb up or down is just absurd.OH for the days of standing at putney end just seeing over the cross bar, the smell of old holborn, and the joy of walking home sodding soaked to the skin and and having to tell people the result when asked that we lost , again!!.

Keetch54 thank you for your post. I can confirm that the man shouting ‘come along chaps rally’ was my dad Paul Arend. He loved to use that phrase to make people laugh. Such a gentleman and very witty. I would have been sat the other side. Dad used to get very passionate when watching our beloved Fulham I’m sure you may have recieved the odd shoulder barge where he used to act every players movement. I have so many amazing memories at the cottage ive watched from every part of the ground. My favourite standing in the the Hammersmith end. Even used to regularly sit next to the dug out as my grandpa was in his wheelchair. Sadly dad passed away 3 years ago after a long battle with cancer. The last game he watched at the cottage was a 5 nil win. He made it to Hamburg to watch the final which Dad was so proud of. And I’m sure he was looking over us at Wembley

In recent years I had progressed to block W of the Riverside stand within touching distance of the Director’s box. There was a legendary character called Abraham who was more affectionately known as the ‘bubble’ as everyone assumed he was Greek. I lost count of the times he was warned about his behaviour which could include ( at the top of his voice ) “ Sit down Ferguson you poof ! “ “ hooligans! Bloody hooligans! “and general berating at maybe 10/15 feet distance to the oppositions Directors for which the club tried to remove his season ticket prompting some of us to contact the club and appeal on his behalf. His grandson told us he had passed away in the close season in his 80’s , of a heart attack and apparently his last comment to the paramedics as they wheeled him out of his house was “ I hope you lot know what you are doing”. A great bloke, much missed, and Fulham through and through.

As you know I also have a season ticket at Brighton, and yesterday I received the money from the club, returning the cost of the season ticket for the games that had been left for this season. I do hope that both the Premier League and the Championship will finish the season, by playing the games in June and July, even if we miss out on promotion. I have been watching some of the German games in empty stadiums, and although it was weird at first, I got used to it, and if you do concentrate on the games, the missing crowd was not such a big problem for me. Let's face it, if that's the only way we will have to finish the season, then so be it. Hopefully next season, will start off as normal, with us all back at CC.
Go along with that

Of the same opinion AC. I watched a couple of the games at the weekend, and at first it was a bit weird but after a while got used to it. You do find that you are more focused on the game itself quite simply because the cameras have nothing else to film!! If we go down the same route, you dare not leave the room because there is no crowd noise to indicate anything has happened

Would be nice to get some money back but it’s not the clubs fault. We have wealthy owners and so will likely be lucky enough to see some Money returned. However if my money can help the club survive these times, I don’t mind them keeping it. Maybe we can get additional perks next season instead.

If the scousers are crowned champs al the other permutations should stand promotions and relegations through all the leagues.
