Chukwuzee had plenty legs left when he left the field and usually comes good late in the game same could not be said for Kevin who replaced him he looks out of his depth to me . We can mix and match any combination of forwards but its always going to difficult when the wingers don't have a target to aim at in the box we basically need asap an old fashioned CF although in fairness to Jimenez he works his socks of for 90 minutes .

In such a close game I thought the subs were brought for no apparent reason other than to just give other players a few minutes. Sometimes it makes sense to stick with the team on the pitch who at that time were well in the game.

Hi Morty, I cannot work out what our manager does when we are in front or drawing with the opposition in the last minutes. We have lost many points when it’s near to the end of the game. I was looking at Leno and he is not very good in the air, after Palace scored the winning goal I noticed that both of he’s feet were behind the goal line, if he saved a shot it would be a goal because he was behind the line. Surely our manager noticed this, if yes and we are doing ok don’t change the team with minutes to go.

Then the VAR ( Very awkward Rubbish) say no goal. This happened against Chelsea and most people said it was a goal from King. This has ruined the game and the time that it takes for the never played footballers tells the ref that it is not a goal. VAR should have ex players who know what it is a goal or not.

With this, they can and should give the attacking team the benefit of doubt caused by the margin of error on the correct camera frame used, by increasing the tolerance so such a minute difference (in our case maybe one cm). This would ensure only clearly offsides the goals are disallowed. I remember many years ago before technology, referees were told to give the attacking teams the benefit of doubts.

There is no doubt, that we have two big six pointers coming up against Burnley and West Ham. We are easily good enough to win both games, but they are not on grounds where we don't normally pick up points, but this time we just mustn't lose either. Yes agree with all that! Some needless substitutions which changed our shape push and tempo. Why does he do this? Rowe off for Kevin, another dribbler Josh King on, he is just not strong enough in there. Palace are too well organised and it was sheer class and quality and a wonderful goal from Wilson that opened them up, they don't concede many like that. Berg was having a great game, again why? When i saw Lukic come on i knew we had lost our shape to a well drilled Palace and an intelligent Glasner. Glasner always play the same side and only sub when necessary. I don't know why Marco subs when he does sometimes, i think he gets bored or whatever. You are correct, we lost this game because of Marco's incompetence.

You brought up again Smith Rowe and his goal which proved how good he can be you say, and i want to tap some people's consciences and go on to say that Maybe Marco should put in the hours and minutes with Smith Rowe on the pitch more and that's my moan about Marco Silva in a nutshell. A few on here don't seem keen on Smith Rowe but it is blatantly obvious that the boy is more talented than we give him credit. I am not usually woke but the fat jibes don't help and guy's remember the 39 million pounds we invested in Smith Rowe. Just think on those 90+ minutes which goes into hours. It makes me wonder, how many goals we might have had from Smith Rowe? Answers on a post card Paddy O. Marco Silva is a good manager and i said good instead of great because some of his substitutions this season have not been great but like that song from Meat-Loaf 'Two out of three ain't bad'. Like they say about home-work at school, Marco can do better. Overall he has made some fantastic substitutions which have the desired effect.

Marco still hasn't signed his contract and that leaves a lot of personals and stuff hanging in the air and this is the problem. We get it, Marco might be holding out for a transfer budget for a midfielder and a striker in January but our problems might not be that essential or critical, depending on how we see our current squad. We know that the neutrals and some pundits don't see much of a problem; in fact some say we are decent. We know that we need that extra player but is it worth chucking a team in like our set-up for the likes of a Tottenham who famously sack every other manager after so long? Not just Tottenham, even Man Utd might be a poison chalice for the likes of Marco Silva who has dreams of taking over a bigger team. Another saying is 'Be careful what you wish' and Marco might succumb to the same fate like the Everton project. If the Khans have it in their heads to wait on Marco's decision, hunky-dory everyone is happy but if not?

Interesting that Marco is giving Jonah our big guy a start. Sometimes it is hard to weigh our team up this season. We look world class when we are on our game and we score great goals that catch the public eye. Marco has a few moans about the shortness of our squad but their is huge potential and talent within us which we can eak out. Our biggest problem is our midfield and lack of dominance and control at the moment which suggest that we need somebody in there still. We can wait for Muniz and i wouldn't rule out Jonah just yet. So i think more goals will come. natrually from this squad if we have the patience to grow it. Marco Silva would be stupid to leave a squad like this now and i think a more patient and good manager would reap the benefits from our obvious and growing talents of a team.

We have in my opinion, a good enough squad, to be comfortably placed in the table. The games that worry me, are the games with bottom sides like Burnley and West Ham, who we very seldom beat, especially away, and for some unknown reason, Palace has also become our nemesis, which worries me about Sunday.

Hence, our slow start. Look at Liverpool. Look at Chelsea last season and this. Look at Man U (but they are a bit of a basket case anyway). look at Brentford this season having to bring in a few key players. Etc etc. the positive is i think most go agree that Marco has now found his formula (as he has consistently done in previous seasons), so our curve should up on the up. My only concern is the Afcon up which will break up a large part of our team. But I think we are very safe!!

It's not what we've learnt, but what has Silva learnt. Apparently nothing, he keeps playing the Berge/ Lukic partnership when it obviously does not work. Too much tip tap and staying in our own half. 2nd half what a difference! We started moving the ball quickly and getting at them ( how we started at Spurs) Marco has to decide on which one starts (maybe neither) and which one is the understudy. Personally Lukic should be on the bench in case Berge needs to come off, even then I think I prefer Harrison Reed with his extra energy. We really looked if we might score an equaliser in the end, the crowd were brilliant and drove them on. We forced City to adopt our tactics to flood team with defenders. City are second in the League and at times looked as ordinary as Spurs. The Premier League is very weak or we are very strong, I am sure it is the latter but if it is the former take advantage of it.

Now after both games we unexpectedly have 3 points so a 2 point bonus. The bookies have stretched our odds for relegation from 6/1 out to 10/1, so they seem confident that we will be OK. I know nothing is certain in football, but it does seem at this stage of the season, that Wolves will go down, and Burnley's position is also dodgy, so it really means that there will only one place to fill at the bottom, and if we could only start to pick up points away from home, that 3rd bottom spot, will not be us.

Marco still doesn't know his best team out there and Chucka deserves a start from what he has shown so far in games. We say it so many times, Lukic and Berg together are too defensive, leaving Man City to run riot through our midfield. Marco has got to come up with a solution. They are a top team and they will slice through most defences and run the show so we can forgive a few mistakes by some of ours. Leno flapped at one but their keeper made mistakes too. Marco's biggest mistake in my opinion was to take off a in form Smith Rowe who was showing signs that he was coming back to his best against Spurs and he was on it tonight. Marco the tinker-man overthinks and messes the rhythm up too much.

That makes sense now, and I have always preferred a more laid back fanbase than one that’s uptight and stressed all the time. @ Paddy, I do support Inter Miami as it’s the most local club to my area. However, the MLS never reaches the level of play that Serie A, La Liga, and especially the Prem see as the standard. No matter how many stars they bring over from Europe.

I say nervous, and that was after Spurs had scored their unstoppable goal, as up until then I felt comfortable. The last 15 minutes was a bit like the Alamo, but our defence held firm, albeit with a bit of luck at times. Quite honestly I think that we have played better away this season, apart from at Everton, which was abysmal, but we have come away with nothing, at times unfairly, Chucky looks like a good signing, and once he gets up to speed, Kevin could also prove to be a good buy. Danny Murphy on MOTD, last night, says that it is now most important that Fulham's owners manage to get Marco to sign a new contract ASAP.

A better team might have took us apart last night though and i still think we need someone in the midfield with a lot more experience. Tom Cairney cannot carry the can for 90 minutes and up top Jimenez is working his heart out and he should have been taken off. Marco could and should have taken a gamble on our young German just for a focal point. Josh King is not the finished article and he is still way too light-weight up there. I put Josh King in the gamble saloon and my reason is that King has played 90x whatever minutes and no goals. Yes he has played well in parts but at this level we must be expecting more. If our young German is a gamble with zero minutes in the prem then so is Josh King. My conclusion is that Marco is a good manager but there are still elements of our squad we don't know about and have we got the best from the likes of Smith Rowe and ways to play him? History's great managers always get the best from a small squad needing reinforcements and Marco i think can get more from our players and there is still time untill the January window.

Our defence, supported by the rest of the Team were fantastic but Spurs were really awful. Their manager was complaining about their booing fans but what does he expect them to do if they are so awful. Every time we attacked there was space on the pitch everywhere. Your do not wing any games just attacking poorly and not defending. Saying all that you only have to beat what is In front of you.

In truth whilst we defended pretty solidly I was extremely nervous for long periods. 36 crosses into our box is just too many, another day and it would have been a different story. Anyway, not to be churlish, a great away win and hopefully the start of more cohesive performances from the team, as games come thick and fast through December/ January. Hope it’s the start of a solid run of performances, 30 points up for grabs.
