Player description
Jay Stansfield was one of the external scholars signed from Exeter City in August 2019.
The forward possesses an excellent touch and can feature as a striker or the number ten position.
He marked his first appearance for Fulham with a goal in the season opener against Spurs U18s and a further four goals came against Norwich, Reading and Leicester.
After amassing an impressive 23 goals in the first half of the 19/20 season, he earned his first team debut in the FA Cup third round with a 2-1 win over Aston Villa.
On 2 September 2022, Stansfield returned to his boyhood club, Exeter City on a season-long loan. Stansfield made his Exeter debut on 3 September as a 79th minute substitute in a 1–0 victory over MK Dons. He wore the no. 9 shirt, the first to do so since the death of his father, Adam Stansfield, from cancer in 2010.
