Referee Robert Jones has been refing and running the line from local leagues to the Football League for some 17 years.

Mr Jones was promoted to the Football League list in 2016, having previously refereed at National League and the Women’s Super League One level for two years.

Referee Robert Jones has never refed a Fulham game before and has been in charge of just eight Championship games so far dishing out 27 yellows and one red in those games.

Bolton Wanderers have also missed out on Ref Jones's presence before.

Last season he officiated at 41 matches issuing 122 yellow cards and 4 reds, some 3.0 yellows per game, just below the average. One of his busiest games was Sutton United and Cheltenham with 6 yellows, four to the home side.

This season so far he has reffed 30 games and has issued 82 yellows, an average of 2.7 per game, and six reds. So he is waving his yellow cards less than last season but the reds are coming more frequently. His busiest game so far this season was the 1-1 draw between Wigan and Portsmouth back in August in which he booked four Portsmouth players and then second yellowed one of the four players late on having already sent off a Wigan player.
