On Saturday the Mighty Whites are at home to Tranmere
Rovers, another representative of Liverpool City, who have one of the poorest
away records in Division One.
Tranmere have lost their last four away fixtures conceding 10 goals and scoring
5 goals in return. They are a physical rather than a skillful team conceding
50% more fouls than Fulham although, of course, they have been awarded less
yellow cards than us.
Fulham are far stronger in defence, having dropped
only two points at home so far, and attack, having scored 30 goals in 11 home
matches, and should win despite Tranmere's physical approach.
All the Bookies are agreed that Fulham are favourite to win the match with the
biggest price available being the 1/4 at Hills with the other major Bookies
offering either 2/9 or 1/5.
If you want to have a single bet on Fulham, regardless of the short price, there
is only one way of getting around the league rules and that is to use the Bookies
system against them.
How to have a single bet.
How to have a single bet
Our Bookie friends believe that Fulham will slaughter Tranmere, sending Aldridge's
blood pressure soaring, quoting Fulham as low as a 1/5 favourite against 10/1
for Tranmere. The best price on offer for Fulham is 1/4 from Hills and does
not really present a viable betting opportunity.
However if you are as convinced as the Bookies are that a Fulham win is nailed
on then the thing to do is to have a single on The Mighty Whites to win.
As you may well know Football League rules and sometimes Bookie fears conspire
against us poor betting folk getting a single on the match of our choice. However
it is possible to get round the restriction by using the Bookies own set up.
We can use the first-half second-half bet in such a way as to get a single on
the outcome we want to bet on.
To back Fulham to win just bet proportionately on the three first/second-half
outcomes that end up with Fulham being the winner at the end of the match (Fulham/Fulham,
Draw/Fulham and Tranmere/Fulham). Of course if you want to back the Draw, in
light of Fulham's tough 120 mins up at Anfield,or a Tranmere win you take the
particular three options that end with your choice being the winner.
To make it easy I have drawn up a table, that shows you the options to back,
displayed below, using the best coupon prices available with a link to the internet
site of the appropriate Bookie. The relationship between the stakes is important
so if you want to bet with a larger or smaller sum divide or multiply the suggested
stakes below by the same preferred number

Stake levels can be increased
or reduced as long as you keep the same proportions. So multiply or divide
each stake by the same number.
If you feel confident you can always leave one of the three elements, of
what ever outcome you are betting on, out to increase your rate of return
but remember that that also increases your risk of losing |
