In their first two matches the Nationwide Women's Premier League champions hammered Faroe Isles champions Kl Klaksvik 8-0 and handed Moldovan side Codru Anenii Noi a 9-1 trouncing.

They cemented their place in the last eight with a 3-1 Saturday night victory over host club Ter Leede, Corinne Yorsten scoring twice and Rachel Yankey also hitting the net.

Striker Tammy Waine, one of new manager Marieanne Spacey's eight close season signings, hit five of Fulham's 20 goals in the four-club tournament.

Spacey, after her competitive debut in management, said: "I'm proud of the way the girls have performed all week.

"The new players who've been brought in have integrated really well, the camaraderie has been terrific and we've played some excellent football.

"I couldn't have had a better start in management."

Fulham's European commitment has meant they have not yet played a game in the new Premier League season.

Two weeks into the campaign Charlton Athletic are heading the table as the only team to have won both of their outings.
